JANET by Homer - Marais

We loved visiting this food space. The hot dogs were incredible and very fairly priced. The Brioche bun is just incredible and the hot dogs cooked to perfection. The pastrami sandwich was good too. We loved the service at this place and the atmosphere was very chilled. Would love to visit again when we come back to Paris.

Listen, we all want to love these places because they’re very popular. Personally, I don’t want to believe that everyone is either lying or they don’t know what good food is. I don’t think I’m the exception and that I’m some sort of Pastrami connoisseur, but what happens when you’re genuinely not impressed by a restaurant? This is what happened to me with both Homer Lobster and Janet by Homer. They’re good. They aren’t bad places, but do they deserve the hype? Absolutely not man. If you’ve had pastrami in NYC, take a look at my photos. Does that look like decent pastrami? Be real! Does it? The taste was off and the slices were too thin. Not too close to the photos I saw on the articles that recommended this place. All in all, it’s not a bad joint… but would I go back? For $17 per sandwich, I’m good. I wouldn’t go back. Edit post owner’s response: the majority of my review was not about price, but about quality. The pastrami itself is of low quality, and yes, it does not correspond to the price. If I wouldn’t go back for your main sandwich, what makes you believe I would go back for a cheaper one? I’ve removed one star from my previous review.

Visited here right after trying the viral lobster roll from Homer! We had ordered the BBQ Beef & Pastrami sandwiches & the fizzy lemonade. The brioche sliced bread was so good and crunchy after being heated and the sandwiches were FULL of flavour and absolutely delicious!! The lemonade was very bitter in taste, but other than that 10/10. Please note that there are about 8 ‘bar’ seats inside the Sandwich Shop, and that it is preferential to takeaway!

Pastrime sandwich was pretty good hut a bit overpriced in my opinion. Attention was pretty good. I asked for mayonnaise and they gave me it in a plate. It seems they don’t use cups neither give sauces with the plates.

Classic pastrami sandwich is amazing! The meat is absolutly delicious, the club sandwich is also 10/10. A bit on the expensive side of sandwiches but worth it

This place offers incredible sandwiches loaded with amazing toppings. The bread is fresh and delicious, and their pastrami is always top-quality and flavorful. There’s a huge variety of sandwiches to choose from, catering to all tastes. The service is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable, making it a fantastic spot for a satisfying meal.

Terrible food. Can only guess this is popular for the novelty of going to a place that claims to be like deli food or for people craving a taste of home like I was. Don’t go. Terrible flavor like old oil. Shredded tiny bit of turkey with overload of flavorless sauerkraut on soggy white bread . Doesn’t even have a good place to sit. Truly no idea of appeal. €15 for this!! 🤯

It’s decent and quite good though I have had better pastrami sandwich with meat that’s much more tastier before hence giving 3 star for Homer . Staff are friendly and nice ! For sure it’s still a good experience
