"Thanks to your lease agreement and over attentive landlord, your Weber mysteriously vanished in the middle of the night. If you still need to be around a grill, go to Jang Soo BBQ. You can cook up all the Korean barbecue you want and get some bibimbap. Plus, you won’t have to deal with the cleanup after." - Taylor Abrams

We ordered off the Grandma's special. In order of my favorite: Kal Bi Jim (beef short rib), Dea Ji Bo Sam (pork belly), and Yuk Hwe (steak tartar.) The short ribs fell right off the bone and had the best flavor of all the dishes. The steak tartar was pretty tasty, but still had frozen portions throughout. The side were also great with tons of options. I appreciate that they grow all their own vegetables and hand make their sauces in-house. We'll definitely be back again!

Homemade Kimchi and Dwenjang(bean paste) sauce were top notch. You rarely experience any Korean restaurants preparing their own Kimchi and Dwenjang for it’s just so much easier to purchase them from suppliers that produce mass of them. Jang Soo had their own Kimchi and Dwenjang prepared and you can tell that they are different from the off the shelf ones. We had Galbi (large in portion), Dwenjang jjiggye, Deokbokgi which were all authentic and tasty but what got us most attracted to were the side dishes. As you can see it in the picture, they are nicely arranged on one plate easy for us to pick and choose from. The ladies were super kind and nice. Atmosphere was very typical of a traditional Korean restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed everything about the restaurant. We will definitely go back when we come back to SFO. The only negative comment I can think of about this place is that it’s little bit pricy.

What can I say other than we are huge fans of Korean bbq. Jang Soo is very popular especially for large parties. I know I’d been before but couldn’t remember what I thought about so we returned again. We knew what we wanted and didn’t cook our own bbq, and food came out pretty quick and all the sauces and vegetables were super fresh. Only thing that we left wishing was better was the service. Seemed like the busy night got the best of the staff and their faces told the story very quickly. Will be back again because we want to see what the staff is really like on a good day.

Night dinner, I need warm soup, the Korean style chicken soup always the best choice when I feel out of weather... it will gave me more Energy. The seafood pancake is huge, love it !!!

I appreciate a good hot grill. And they had it. Gas grill with permanent rocks underneath made for a good char. Recommend the fried rice cakes with honey. Highly recommended all around. kimchi chi ge was a little off, however. Staff was attentive and friendly. Setting was very nice

I don’t understand why so many people say the food is good here. It’s not an all-you-can-eat style, but they use frozen meat? Besides, low quality ingredients and salty side-dishes. The rice cake was also not fresh. Soup was just ok. The waitress didn’t come to us for a long time. NO one come to add water. I have to say this is the worst bbq I have ever had in CA.

We are repeat visitors and we bring friends and family here who can appreciate the BBQ experience and we don't bring anyone who is not worthy. Jang Soo is our favorite Korean restaurant in all of SF for sure, but probably all of CA as well. Top quality BBQ marinaded meats, delectable side dishes, hand crafted soy bean pastes and sauces (they make it themselves!!!), Very attentive and kind service, very chill spot. They don't over marinade meats here like many other (most) Korean places, so happy to finally taste the top quality of the meat we ordered instead of a sweet and salty mess. Tastes just like the best BBQ spots in Korea. Let the quality meat be the star of the show! We always order the Dae Ji (spicy pork), Kal Bi (Beef short rib), Dak (chicken breast), Jap Chea (noodle), spicy seafood (can't remember the name of it..) These are the staples. I've recently been branching out into their other stuff too, but it's hard to order because everything on the menu looks so good. Just tried the Den Jang Chi Ge (mildly spicy miso stew with lots of goodies). Was awesome, can't wait to keep coming back to try everything else.

Delicious home cooked style Korean foods. Friendly wait-staff, but not the fastest service. Their homemade soybean paste is amazing when paired with the bbq meat for lettuce wraps! Plenty of banchan/side dish was served when we went for lunch. The bbq is pricey, but what food isn't in SF...
