Amazing spot for both breakfast and lunch! The food is absolutely delicious, with a big menu full of great options. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The service was outstanding—quick, friendly, and professional. Edgar was our server and truly made the experience perfect. Can’t wait to come back!

Chicago Restaurant, Janik's Cafe with owner, Felippa Janik and her husband Wayne, is a true embodiment of the American dream, where two cultures blend in perfect harmony, as they are from Italy and Venezuela. They beautifully integrate their past within their menu, creating a culinary experience that will leave you inspired. Moe had the best steak and eggs and I had a real treat, a fresh toasty waffle with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, a truly uplifting experience. They are opening for dinner Thursday through Saturday starting in May, a testament to their perseverance and dedication. Heading back to San Antonio tomorrow, I am filled with gratitude and excitement for the next leg of our journey. We will head to Charleston, South Carolina on the 5th with our friends, eager to explore new culinary delights and share more restaurant reviews to come.

The skirt steak was 10/10!! I ordered mine medium well & it was perfectly cooked. Potatoes and eggs were also really good! First there and the service was great. Parking was the only sucky part, but there’s a hospital nearby with free street parking if you don’t mind walking.

Spacious, great atmosphere. Bright and colorful, especially on a sunny spring day. The staff was super attentive and the owner was our server - she was so warm and welcoming and gave great recommendations. Definitely would return. The chilaquiles were incredible.

This was our first time here and after having their delicious food, but will be certainly coming back. We had the Country fried chicken with the biscuits and gravy and the crispy potatoes which was phenomenal, and we also had the Chilaquiles with Steak -which has an up charge, but very worth it- and they were also very tasty. We were satisfied with both option. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their extensive menu. The staff is very friendly and attentive and we even got to talk to the owner who was invested in making sure we were taken care of.

This place like a fusion breakfast meets every other culture restaurant. They have an eclectic menu, and everything we had was okay. The food was mid, I had a breakfast burrito, I wanted more burrito from the breakfast burrito, although it was not as bad as many burritos that should just be called a wrap. They do work with schools to do fundraisers which is super nice of them, and adds to the food taste in a way. They have weird hours as well, a total breakfast early lunch place. I came here around 12:30pm and they were rushing us out by 1pm by slowing down on water and coffee service. They usually are pretty busy on the weekends but they are not busy on the weekdays, at anytime. Overall I would recommend if you’re in the area.

It was the perfect place to bring my dad on his first visit to Chicago—our meals were satisfying, and the genuine hospitality made the experience even more memorable. Starting in May, they’ll be open for dinner Thursday through Saturday, a reflection of their hard work and growing community support.

Delicious food, great service, and no wait on a Sunday morning! Great price for the portions. My fiancé and I are both vegetarian and had a hard time deciding what to eat because we had great options! Will definitely be coming back.
