This place has a good variety of options, and both breakfast and lunch are available all day. My friend ordered the steak taco, which was pretty tasty, and the grilled salmon was cooked just right. The café latte was not bad either. Overall, it’s a nice place for quick lunch or breakfast but the ambience was not the best for sitting down meals. Another good thing about it was that the waiters were very friendly and welcoming.

Even though they were about to close, the wonderful host went out of their way to accommodate us, allowing us to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. The service was beyond exceptional—our server took care of every little detail, making us feel welcomed and special. As always, the food was incredible! The Latin Benedict and Crabcake Benedict are our absolute favorites, and they keep us coming back for more. The flavors are perfect, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. We’re so grateful to the team at Janik’s Cafe for going the extra mile to make our evening special. If you’re looking for amazing food and outstanding service, this is the place to be!

This was a very nice, comfortable restaurant. The service was great; very prompt and friendly attention from all the staff. The food was fresh tasting and came out hot! I had an omelet and tried the crabcakes. I was surprised by how flavorful they were. My friend had a breakfast sandwich on a light, flaky, buttery croissant. I will definitely be back and highly recommend when in Chicago.

Ideal small diner vibes for breakfast or lunch! The staff is so friendly and attentive, you feel right at home in the restaurant! The atmosphere is also family and kid friendly which makes it feel really open and relaxed. The food portions were greats and the red sauce chicken enchiladas were amazing! I also love the energy of a breakfast place with one kind of coffee and free refills! I had nothing but good things to say about this cafe and would definitely stop in again!

Picture this: It's 7:30am on a Monday, and you are lovingly served a $5 shot on a napkin and saucer. Entire staff welcomed me with smiles. Amazing service; also amazing food, amazing chefs, amazing staff. Janik's is a must. Janik's is a HAVE TO. This is the number one best brunch spot in the city of Chicago.

Wow, all I can say is wow!!! I came to this restaurant with my family after church, and we did not expect it to be this good! We ordered coffee, which had a great taste ! Then, for my breakfast, I ordered chicken and waffles, which you know was good because the chicken and waffles needed no ketchup or syrup. If you are in the city and in the mood for breakfast, come to this great place !!
