This spot is 4 minutes away. It was my co workers birthday and she wanted to celebrate her birthday. She been her many times. Fantastic. We came after work around 1215pm. We had the omakase of some sort. Service was fantastic, there was only like 3 tables on a wednesday evening. They typically close around 3am. Happy hour starts around 12am for you locals and late night shifters. This place is a fusion Japanese-French style cuisine. You can finally brag to your co workers and friends. I went to a french japanese place in vegas. (don't you sound fancy!) edamame: cooked to perfection seasoned with salt. Rock shrimp: probably my favorite appetizer there. Salmon sashimi: fresh and delectable. Salmon chips: everyone loves texture. Light and refreshing. Scallops: Nice touch on the sauce and the chili on top of the scallops. SO yum! Cold Sake: really clean and resfreshing for a really warm evening in vegas. Oysters: I usually don't eat oysters, but man this was so good! main event, the steak with bone marrow. OMG. This is what you come for, this is why you drive out of you way from the strip, to get something amazing AND LIGHT. Knock your socks off that you are not wearing with your slippers. That good. Bookmarked, saved. Plenty of parking. Come here now.

Japaneiro is a classic. I've been coming here for several years already, whether with coworkers or friends. The food is great and the service has always been awesome. If you're tired of the strip and want to try somewhere different, you won't be disappointed. Some of our go-to include the tomahawk, wagyu, salmon collar, and scallops.

This place was amazing !! We are very avid sushi eaters and the fish quality was just amazing and so diverse. If you really love high quality tuna, salmon, and especially uni at a great price this is the the place to go. The bone marrow was also amazing probably the best I have ever had the portions were huge but the sauce and citrus on it made it not overwhelmingly rich. Service and drink selection were also great. Great for locals and also

Very modest interior located in a strip mall, but the food was amazing! Highly recommend if you like sushi and Japanese food! Staff were really friendly and service really good.

We went here for my husband's birthday. The food was so delicious. I We had the Rock shrimp appetizer- very good. I had the Hokkaido Scallop Tobanyaki and the teriyaki sauce was yummy. My husband had the Truffle Bone Marrow with New York Strip and Foie Gras. He said it was delicious. The chocolate mouse cake was so creamy and really good too! Service was excellent! Definitely coming back!

Ate here tonight, and all I can say is WOW! I’m so upset with myself knowing I didn’t come here sooner. First off, every item I ordered was so flavorful and complimented each other wonderfully. The NY strip was extremely tender, chicken fried rice was so moist and flavorful, yakisoba was rich, cod wraps were extremely good (coming from someone who doesn’t normally like fish, it was my favorite dish of the night), and the rock shrimp was the perfect balance of creamy and spicy. What made this experience a 10/10 was the service we received. I didn’t catch his name, but he was a bald older gentleman and he was so attentive and sweet that I know I’ll ask for him again if he’s available. Do not sleep on this place, check it out and don’t forget to try some dishes during happy hour. ♥️♥️

I usually fly out to Vegas after work on weekdays and arrive pretty late with the usual landing delays. Finding a restaurant off strip that's open super late and has incredible food is a must as I take a break before checking in. Japaneiro has been my absolute favorite so far. The bites are some of the most flavorful and delicious items I've ever had. Especially the Catalina Uni bites and the Uni Foie Bites. But the skewers are also incredibly juicy tender and delicious. Everything I ordered was stellar. As good or better than the finest dining on the strip.

Google
This is my favorite late night spot in Vegas. The service and meal are consistently wonderful, and last night they were playing top club bangers to go with 2-for-1 house sake 💆🏾‍♀️ We had so much fun at this underrated spot. My tip: If it sounds good, try it. It's going to be a feast for the taste buds.

Yelp
Elevated Japanese fusion dinner at Japaneiro restaurant on the south west side of town. Amazing food, quality ingredients ie Hokkaido Uni in an intimate setting that is not located in your typical strip mall. We had the Chefs special omakase dinner, which included a trio of oyster, scallops, and wagyu bites topped with Hokkaido uni, fois grais and special sauces. 2nd course was a beautifully broiled giant prawn. Special entree was filet Mignon over perfectly broiled bone marrow bones. Dessert was green tea ice cream. We also had there special broiled squid that was also very tasty. They serve elevated high end and perfectly prepared Asian fusion food in a very casual setting. Small place I think 10 tables. Reservations are recommended. It's ok to treat yourself. Chef owner Kevin, and his staff personally serves and checks on you through out your dining experience. The overall dining experience is memorable.

Yelp
Had a chance to try January special 6 courses and didn't disappoint! All items were so flavorful. Chef was there at the restaurant to ensure us a good time. Our server was so attentive by kept our water filled and make sure we enjoyed our time. I wish for a little more decoration on the table or all around but the tasty foods had already made up for it! Enjoy my photo and video because what you see cant even compare to how yummy everything! You have to check this place out. Locals kept secret!

Yelp
I made same day reservations for a party of 5 on a Wednesday evening. 3 of 5 arrived 30 minutes early, so they decided to seat us at the table next to the door - not a great spot as I could smell the funky air outside. But as we got them to uncork our bottle of red ($20 corkage fee) and as the rest of the party arrived, it eventually didn't bother me as much. But still would have liked a better table. We all decided to do the 7-course omakase, which they were able to accommodate (usual cost is $190 per 2 people). My fiancé and I were the only ones who have had omakase and had eaten escargot so there were a few virgins on our table which was exciting in itself. Each course and overall rating by everyone: 1. Scallop/uni/ikura carpaccio (unsure of exact name of dish but I've eaten more than my fair share of Japanese food and it definitely ate like a carpaccio) - 4/5 2. Salmon ceviche with light, airy, crispy chips - 4/5, Remember these chips as it will come into play for another course 3. Raw oyster - too fishy, not fresh - 0/5 4. Escargot - this was the first time I had grilled escargot, usually I have it drenched in butter the way the French prepare them. The virgins were surprised that they liked this - 5/5 5. Seared bass - cooked to perfection! My fave overall - 5/5 6. Bone marrow topped with grilled steak and foie gras - needed something citrusy to cut through the fat but still a good dish. By the time this was served, we were all so full. 1 needed help finishing her serving and asked for more of the chips (same one from the ceviche) - they served her with a small plate of chips - 4/5 7. All the gelatos were creamy and smooth - ube was our favorite flavor but the matcha was not bitter and the French vanilla was not overly sweet. 5/5. Cakes/pie: mango, chocolate mousse, & tiramisu- just ok. 3/5. This was my second time here and come back for the food and excellent service, most especially it's not on the strip. They have happy hour starting at 11pm, I would like to try that out next time.

Yelp
After seeing it on TikTok for the anniversary special I had to come and celebrate their 11 year anniversary with a special $50 Omakase. Reservations were definitely the way to go and we were seated right away. The place is small so it filled up super quickly. The ambiance is pretty dark with good lighting. So here is the Omakase: 1/2/3 Course is a tasting: -Scallop with Uni was delish. This was the most mild out of the 3 and it was perfection -Oyster with Foie Grae and Uni: it has such a great sea water taste and beautiful bite -Toro with Uni and jalapeño yuzu. The citrus cut the toro and it was perfection 4th Course: Tiger Prawn with Truffle Butter. The prawn is humongous. It was such a beautiful and rich bite! 5th Course: Ribeye with Bone Marrow and Foie Grae: The meat was a beautiful medium rare and the bone marrow was like a perfect "meat butter" accompanist. 6th Course: Matcha Ice Cream: such a deep tea flavor that is not overly sweet. I loved the ending! In addition we tried the -Salmon Ceviche: the salmon bites were plentiful! The salmon was nice and fresh -Scallop Ceviche: The scallops were cut up more finely than the salmon. *Both ceviches were great, however the citrus was extremely overpowering. It was a bit much. Overall I would come back in a heartbeat. The owner has such a genuine heart and the sweetest personality. Congrats on 11 years and heres to many more!

Yelp
I fluctuated between 3 stars and 4 stars but ultimately they have good service and the food quality is high. I made reservations by filling out their form on their website. They are not on Resy or Open Table, which is fine. But you have to plan ahead a bit. When we walked in, there was a very strong unpleasant gas smell. I think it came from their kitchen because of their grill. The restaurant is so small that the smell lingered throughout the night. Yellowtail sashimi - very fresh and good flavor Oysters - also fresh and the mignonette sauce was delish Whole grilled squid - large squid. Good portion size. The grilled flavor was good. Wasn't a big fan of the sauce Escargots - buttery and garlicky Salmon belly - very good portion size. Grilled well Grilled prawn - very fresh and good char taste Steak with bone marrow and foie gras - this whole plate was super rich and flavorful. It's missing some sort of carb and/or vegetables. The bone marrow was 2 big bone portion sizes but it's so fatty that I desperately needed something to cut through the fat. There is no rice or bread for the bone marrow, maybe some crusty bread would have been good. The steak was supposed to be medium rare but it came out medium well. Luckily the steak was so tender that it was soft and delicious. The chef/owner is at the front of the house and he tends to all the customers. Overall service was good. Food quality excellent. Need to somehow get rid of the gas/grill smell and refine a couple of dishes.

Yelp
I've been slacking on checking out all of the izakayas around town, but sooner or later I had to Japa-long over here. Japaneiro, likely a wordplay name inspired by something too capsaicin-y for me, is a pretty cozy (read: small) restaurant in the corner of some plaza on Warm Springs and Tenaya. As far as the southwest part of town goes, it's basically the middle of nowhere. My friend wanted to meet at 11-ish, and happy hour here starts at 11pm, which is probably why I actually chose this spot over a few others which I was mulling over. When I arrived, they only had one other group, so I had no problem getting seated. They provide a QR code at the table that links to a web page with their full menu, including the happy hour. Eventually, we figured out our order, placed it, and got the food pretty quickly. Hokkaido Scallop Sashimi ($14.00 happy hour): not an exceptional start. The scallop was tasty, but I didn't really pick its flavor up on the first bite since the jalapeño was overpoweringly spicy. The yuzu soy was nice though. Scottish Salmon Sashimi ($3.50/pc HH): same accoutrements as the scallop, but the size of the salmon makes the jalapeño much less impactful. Tender and silky though, as you expect from salmon sashimi. Rock Shrimp ($9.00 HH): crispy, battered goodness with a spicy aioli. This is so simple but so very satisfying. Butter Lettuce Cups ($7.00/2 pc each order HH): served with Romaine lettuce for some reason, not butter lettuce. Fortunately, all three proteins satisfied - the crispy battered Chilean Seabass, the sweet and savory Black Cod, and even the Sashimi blend with its delicious sauce which I found oddly similar to a sweet vinegary salad dressing I've had. Tacos ($5.00/2 pc each order HH): served on a not so satisfying wonton shell. It simply wasn't airy or crispy enough in any of the tacos I tried. The salmon and tuna were forgettable and not sauced, while the beef was actually a pretty tender and flavorful steak. It's good enough that I recommend getting the beef taco or perhaps another beef item; I'm thinking a skewer next time. Edamame with Truffle Oil ($6.00 HH): charred on the outside, served hot, and not completely drenched with that truffle oil. It actually works really well, especially when you get that hit of the coarse salt in a bite. Matcha Ice Cream ($4.00): I just had to get a dessert, and unfortunately they said they were out of hojicha. The texture was a little icy at times, but the matcha flavor was distinct and present in every bite. Japaneiro is pretty far from me, but I would consider returning to Japaneiro for certain happy hour items, or to try their more splurgy items at a more reasonable hour. I did get a great sampling of their happy hour, but I do feel that I only just scratched the surface of their fusion offerings.

Yelp
Came here twice with bigger groups so I've been able to sample a decent amount of the menu, but can't say I'm too impressed. Overall, portions are simply too small with nothing else standout to justify the high Strip-level prices they're charging. My favorite items have been the Australian lamb chops and rock shrimp (not pictured). A lot of the other items lacked sophistication and relied on brute flavor from sauces/seasoning. I love truffle, but the truffle flavor was way too strong on the truffle bone marrow (not pictured). The sauce for all their ceviches and lotus chips were also way too overpowering. Perhaps their flavors are just too strong for my palette, but the restaurant was pretty empty aside from my group both times I went. Service was fantastic on both occasions.

Yukari N.

Yelp
The food quality was very good but the price of the foods are almost at the Strip price. I was expected the restaurant was upscale because of the price of the foods. However, inside of the restaurant was very small and just as local restaurant interior. I felt the table and chairs were very old. The patio seating was look good in the summer though. When I was trying to take a picture of their foods, the sever showed up nowhere with a flash light for the camera. It was funny I had never had the flashlight service before

Yelp
Amazing food! We went to celebrate their 11th anniversary and enjoyed their omakse meal. Would definitely go back as everything was fantastic

Yelp
Nah not going back to this place. Idk what happened but I walk in for dinner .. these two ultra intense older dudes literally get in my face pointing all crazy at this sign and mumbling. So I look and it's a sign that says "we only accept Zelle or cash for now on". What kind of a way is that to do business? Creeped me out. Over Japañeiro.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Please rush there immediately for their Omakase special because the six courses literally beat the omakase we tried in Japan. My favorite was the fatty Toro with Uni where it truly tasted as fresh as the ocean and I loved the bone marrow that is massive for the price. He is a previous Nobu chef who has utilized all of his skills into these unique dishes. My boyfriend loved the wild caught massive shrimp that was fried to a perfect crisp where the truffle smelled amazing and tasted just as amazing. Chef Kevin has the kindest personality and stands out with his welcoming demeanor. No wonder his restaurant is completely booked and we recommend their happy hour at night too!

Yelp
Small restaurant so make reservations! They have inside and outside seating and it's nice that their tables are separated by a screen for privacy. I like how the owner/chef comes out to talk to guests and ask them how their meal is going. We had the 11th anniversary omakase and it was such a good deal. The appetizers left me wanting more! Scallop, oyster and toro with fois gras. The oyster was small, but wasn't fishy and was my favorite. The toro had a sauce which was a little too sour IMO. We also ordered the grilled squid in addition to the meal. The truffle butter prawn was DELICIOUS and a must try. The bone marrow truffle filet was too rich. We ended up putting the cabbage that was used for plating into the bone marrow to soak everything up. I'd recommend a lightly toasted baguette to go with the bone marrow. It was quite rich and I couldn't finish more than half. Service was 10/10. Our waters were never left empty and we were constantly being checked on. The matcha ice cream was very hard to eat at first. I think they prescoop and leave in the bowl inside the freezer to make it faster to serve. It didn't take long for it to release from the bowl. The matcha ice cream had a slight bitterness to it, which I enjoyed. Overall it was a good meal
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I did the 7 course meal chef tasting. Overall the food was pretty good and good variety. The place looks nicely decorated and relaxing environment. The main complaint I have that kinda ruined the experience was a very very heavy sewer smell. It made it kind of difficult to really enjoy the food and made me nauseous. The server was nice and he was attentive. He made to bring the food at the right time and also our drinks were always filled.
google avatar

Yelp
First, I have to give props to the sever! When he knows I was taking picture of the food, he came right away with food lightenings! My picture definitely turned out way better than I expected. The food here is amazing and a hole in a wall type of place that locals go to. I found this place about 2.5 years ago when I was pregnant and needed my foie gras fix. It's hard for find seared foie gras now a days and to find one that does it right is even harder. The foie gras here is a must get! My husband and my usual are bone marrow, rib eye steak and lamb chop. I don't know what is exactly, but everything they cook is just done perfectly. I think it may be the touch of yuzu they add to the dishes to cut the fattiness and greasiness of the meat. Their salmon sashimi tacos, salmon sashimi salad cups and anything sashimis are all super fresh. Don't expect a usual Japanese type of sashimi or sushi here because they're not a true Japanese restaurant. jaoaneiro is a fusion Japanese restaurant that does fusion food right. If you come here during normal hours, you wouldn't need a reservation. If you come here after 9, you'll need one.

Yelp
First time here and if you're looking for a late night munching this is the place. Last call is at 2 am but open til 3 am!!! Awesome food sampling we get to try almost everything. Downside is the sewage smell and I thought I won't be able to eat but forgot the strong smell when I started eating. I hope that gets fixed. Would love to come back here.

Yelp
This is my third time at japaneiro and it has been a hit every single time! I'd come more often if it was closer! First, their beef gyozas are AMAZING and my favorite item on the menu! They are packed with beef and the sauce drizzled over it is the perfect condiment! Second, the NY strip was cooked medium rare and the spices/presentation complement the dish so well. Third, our server Andy, recommended the grilled salmon belly. That was so soft and melted in our mouths and came with two sauces. Both sauces were outstanding. Thanks for the recommendation Andy! Lastly, I loved the tuna with lotus chip and the salmon with lotus chip versus the tacos! The lotus chip gave more crisp. Overall, every dish was great! Those above were just my favorites! Definitely coming out here again and again!

Yelp
We came since we saw a TikTok advertising the $50 omakase for January with 6 courses. Walking in you get hit in the face with a strong sewage smell. Restaurant is small and narrow. The omakase was so disappointing . The execution was so poor, timing was off and most of the protein was gamey or fishy. 6 course omakase: - 1 spoon of scallop foie gras : foie gras was super grainy, raw scallop was warm. - 1 spoon of tuna with uni: over sauced and not balanced. If it's high grade fish, it shouldn't be sitting in a spoonful of ponzu - oyster: didn't taste clean and tasted like it was sitting out at the wrong temp. It had a slight funk on it. - it was a LONG wait and then they brought out the bone marrow with filet. The filet was so tough and dry. - they brought out matcha green tea at this time and said our meal was over, but we only counted 5 dishes if you even count ice cream as a course. We had to pull up the menu on our phone to see what was missing. Turned out they didn't bring the nigerian shrimp and our bone marrow was missing the foie gras. When we let them know they brought the shrimp really fast but it was luke warm and powdery. Horrible dining experience with no flow. The chef was running around refilling waters and menial front of house tasks instead of cooking.

Yelp
i was totally expecting an upscale restaurant based on some of the food photos i saw on yelp, but this is a very humble and casual spot that just serves beautiful and delicious dishes! the menu has a lot of variety and we were struggling to decide so our server was super helpful talking us through it and making suggestions. they do have a chefs tasting menu as an option if you don't want to order a la carte but it looked like it had a snail course which i'm allergic to. we were so pleased with everything we ordered: - chicken yakisoba - scallop foie gras (2 orders of 2) - salmon ceviche - grilled flying squid - grilled salmon belly - beef kushi (2 orders of 2) - yellow tail sashimi - 6 kumamoto oysters all the raw food was fresh, the cooked foods were comforting, and each dish was packed with flavor. i think the sashimi, ceviche, and salmon belly were the favorites for us but the noodles definitely went so well with all the other dishes. oh, another huge benefit is that they're open late night which was a plus cuz we were looking for something still open past 10pm. they even have happy hour from 11-close i think? the server was also so friendly and attentive. he busted out a handheld light for us every time we wanted to take pics of our food. i look forward to coming back here and introducing more people to it!

Yelp
Seriously a hidden jem! A simple ambiance w an open kitchen, with the main focus on the wide variety of fun dishes to try. I highly recommend coming during their happy hour, as they have a menu with many dishes and drinks half off! Even if you come during the daytime, their prices are amazing in comparison to this quality of food you'd find elsewhere. We've been here twice and plan for more! Meal highlights are the fresh sashimi and the bone marrow & steak. The sashimi is so fresh, a huge difference from what you get at AYCE spots. Service is fast and attentive. Best spot Yum!!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went for mine and her birthday (it's a day apart) and we were greeted by Andy, who was working host, server, runner, and busser (give this man a raise). We had the Chef Tasting 7 Course and added a couple of things ala carte. It was a really great experience Andy made sure to tell us the proper way of enjoying the food. Andy was also very kind enough to provide lighting for when we took pictures of the food, which I've never had that happen before! This place is definitely a 6/5 because the food was great and Andy went above and beyond! Thank you for the experience!
google avatar

Andraya R.

Yelp
The interior of the restaurant is quite small, with only 6 to 8 tables, so I highly recommend making a reservation. We were warmly welcomed into the restaurant by the Chef himself and seated promptly. We decided to try their special January menu, a five-course meal thoughtfully curated by the Chef. Every dish was absolutely delicious! I especially recommend the steak and bone marrow--it's a must-try, even if you don't opt for the full course.

Yelp
Service here is great, and there's nothing that doesn't taste good here. I've had their char grilled baby octopus, scallop ceviche, beef tacos, Hokkaido scallop, NY strip, fried rice, tiramisu and chocolate cake. Everything is delicioso!

Yelp
AMAZING!!! Idk how I stumbled on this gem but I'm SO glad I did!! All you need to know is a former Nobu chef owns it!!! Took old lady here for her birthday and it was the best decision ever! Also love that they're open super late night and given their later hours traffic shouldn't be too bad. Made a reservation which I do recommend but we went at a slow time so I don't think it would've mattered, but ppl started trickling in after we got there. The musics fun and it's a cute little place, tucked away in the corner. Don't let these things fool you, you're about to get your socks blown tf off! The menu is QR code, and birthday girl forgot her phone. Andy did have a menu to bring so I appreciated that. We were hungry and ordered a bunch of small plates, and every single one of them left me wanting more! I buy anything and everything truffles, so truffle edamame was a no brainer and didn't disappoint. If it was socially acceptable to lick dishes lol, everything on the table would've been clean! Chilean sea bass wraps were crunchy, flavorful and tasty, salmon tacos were cute and fun bursts of flavor, and the sauce on the shrimp kushiyaki was so good, old lady kept the plate and was dipping other things in it. The sauces are presentation are part of what sets them apart. We asked about chef, he still owns it and comes in! Just went to edc that weekend, hope you had a blast sir! I did the NY strip, lady did the lamb, I ordered the special fried rice, she ordered the udon. Let me just tell you, BEST RICE EVER!! They didn't skimp on flavor in the slightest. It's packed with garlic and pepper (not too much pepper by any means, and I'm a recent pepper fan so it can still be off putting but this is positively perfect!) it's truly some of the best fried rice I've ever had!! Ended up talking food w our friend and he has some foodie friends that brought him. He said they loved everything and ordered a second helping of rice! I get it! Truly! The strip was presented so beautifully with the garlic, 5 or 7 spice, pepper and salt, plus the truffle yuzu sauce. It was perfectly medium rare and everything you'd want a steak to be. Woman said the lamb had a little aftertaste so Andy helped her decide on scallops. Her udon was tasty but it had nothing on the rice! I don't like scallops but I loved these! It's a running theme but the sauce made it! In the midst of all this I asked Andy about the salmon belly (I live for pork belly and needed some kind of belly in my life!) he told us he subsisted on it the first 3 mos after he started. Again, the sauce! Completely epic and life changing on this dish. I can't say enough and craving it as I write this and recall the way it did a number on my tastebuds! They had fun sparkling waters we'd never had, and they brightened the birthday with tiramisu and a candle. Again beautiful presentation and terribly tasty. Woman ate it all! And she doesn't do that. I could only afford a bite, my skin was getting tight and was borderline hate myself gluttony. I have to say that my mom isn't often wowed by anything. So many things I love, I get her famous, "it's ok". A birthday is special and I wanted to leave, "it's ok" in the dust! I've never heard so many successive "omg!" And "this is so good! That alone was worth it. Andy and Yulia are nothing short of amazing. Patient, kind, knowledgeable about the menu. Everything you'd want a restaurant experience to be, but wait there's more! Andy saw I was taking pictures and had a handheld light! He even used it when he took pics for us outside! Beyond impressed! A set of regulars came in and Andy asked how far they were through the menu, they said about 50% lol. It's not bad at 20 mins, but if I were closer I'd be doing the same thing! The leftovers made me sad bc no more food was coming out. If you haven't gathered by now, do yourself a flavor and go! Kevin's definitely onto something and I'm absolutely coming back for more! Thank you Andy, Yulia and kitchen staff. You made my moms birthday a happy one and a real treat!

Yelp
I came here for a date night. Perfect place to impress a lady. I had the Chilean sea bass again, still as delicious. We ordered NY steak, and grilled fly squid, both delicious and fresh, the squid had a strong citrus sauce, perfectly balanced with the slightly bitter char of the squid. My date ordered scallops ceviche. She was in heaven. The subtle sweetness of the scallops is cut by the citrus and onions complement, a perfect dish. Over all another memorable dining experiences, with flavors combination we never had before. It's a Japanese French restaurant but you won't find sushi, tempura, or rolls with mayonnaise and cream cheese here. But you'll find technique and preparations of Japan and France. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This review is based on a visit on 5/30/24. Japaneiro is tucked away into a fairly nondescript strip mall. I wouldn't have known about it but for a tip from a foodie I met at a recent food event. - Food: Fresh, delicious, and a great twist on the classics. We ordered the black cod and Chilean seabass lettuce wraps, salmon tacos, rock shrimp, Catalina Uni bite, and NY strip foie gras with truffle bone marrow. Everything was fantastic, but we were especially impressed with the prices - such great value for the quality of food and flavors. - Service: Friendly, efficient, and attentive. Couldn't have asked for anything more. We truly enjoyed our first dining experience here and look forward to a repeat visit.

Yelp
***takeout only*** Came in a week ago. Cute space, with friendly staff... came in to make a togo order and it was pretty quick. Andy really helped me curate the perfect meal for me. Starting with the gyoza... it was pan fried to perfertion! I loved the glaze or sauce, a little sweet and savory addition.... Butter lettuce wrap with black cod was very moist and in a sweet and savory sauce with a little bit of crisp phyllo pieces to add another textural element! It was a simple and light bite. Shrimp fried rice was pretty standard, nothing special, but does it's job and pretty filling! Shrimp was very prominent, but i feel like the rice was a bit on the dry side. I would probably come back again, for the lettuce wraps and gyoza. Andy was such a hospitable employee and I hope to come back when he is serving! The food was pretty good, but I would definitely say the bone marrow is something i would have to try my next visit to vegas. Visiting from hawaii, i love that they open pretty late too.

Yelp

Yelp
10/15/2024 @10pm-11:30pm. Seven Course Tasting Menu for $95. Food: First and second course: the scallop and Uni followed by the salmon ceviche were bathing in thin sauces. The first dish was salty and the second was too sour with excessive use of lemon or citrus. I added the whole grill squid, which had a nice char, but was somewhat masked by a gravy. The next dish was an escargot on top of a bed of seaweed salad. So the top was French and the bottom was Japanese. After the first few courses, I asked if I could have the rest of my meals prepared with the sauce on the side. Wow, the Seabass was amazing. I devoured it in 15 seconds. The final hot dish was a large bone marrow with a few bites of steak and foie gra. If you like consume fat, this dish is on point. Finish with a mango mousse cake. Service: Appreciated my waitress who was an attentive and spoke with the chef to accommodate my preference and changes. Atmosphere: A small restaurant. Between each table were wall dividers which offered some privacy or more intimate experience.

Yelp
The food was sooo good!! Great late night night spot and the service is extremely good! We had the rock shrimp, udon noodles , NY steak, and fried rice. 10/10 for everything!!! Although the inside is not super modern they make it very intimate the way they separate each table! Honestly once the food comes nothing else matters.

Yelp
Omg. There were so many wonderful sounding dishes, we wanted to try everything. My cousin had been here before, and really loved it, so she had us come here for dinner when we met up with her in Vegas. She did all the ordering, since she already knew what we should all share. We got the ribeye steak, fried rice, yakisoba, Scallop Foie Gras, Oysters Uni Foie Gras, Salmon Sashimi, Salmon Tacos, and chawanmushi. Everything was delicious. Our favorites were the ribeye steak, Scallop Foie Gras, and Oysters Uni Foie Gras. My cousin and I, although already having eaten two each of the Scallop Foie Gras, loved it so much, ordered another two orders of two Scallop Foie Gras each. Our mouths were excited with every bite. Service was excellent. Would love to come here again.

Yelp
Was notified one hour before reservation that their CC machine broke so it's cash or Zelle only. From other reviews sounds like this is a regular occurrence which is crazy in 2025. Showed up and was seated in a corner opposite the dining room by the bathrooms. The area had such a strong sewage smell I almost threw up. Asked to be seated in the actual dining area and thankfully they had a table. The dining area is tiny and can barely be called a dining area. It's like a side room with a fridge and small bar and zero decor of any kind. Entire place had no personality. We went with the 7 course tasting menu. The courses are not listed because I guess they rotate them. That night the tasting included scallop sashimi with uni, salmon ceviche, oyster uni, escargot, sea bass, bone marrow filet, and mousse cake. Scallop: sat in a bath of ponzu, I like ponzu but you can't taste anything else. Ceviche: very citrusy and salty Oyster: nice combination of flavor Escargot: forgettable Sea bass: very peppery and dry Marrow filet: definitely the star. Super tender, steak sauce was great. Mousse cake: delicious Not the most filling meal as most courses were just a bite. For $250+ this was not a great experience. You can go down the road to Pier 215 and spend half that for a better experience. Definitely would recommend ordering a la carte instead of doing the tasting menu.

Yelp
Went to Japaneiro for their happy hour (11p-closing). Surprisingly it was not busy at all and we were seated right away. Menu is thru QR code but photos are there to help. We always always order the house fried rice and then our usual happy hour items which are gyoza, edamame, beef kushi, salmon, beef & tuna tacos. We tried a new item for us which was the chilean sea bass lettuce wrap. Our server was awesome! He always checked on us and the girl always refilled our drinks. Our food came out fast and we ordered more in between. When our server saw that I was about to take a photo of our food he came with a led light! He was prepared! As always everything was delicious! It all hit the spot. We love Japaneiro! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Enjoyed the various items we ordered, but my favorite was the foie gras which was flavored with teriyaki. The waitstaff were so attentive and friendly. The restaurant wasn't super busy, but it looked like it would be great when filled with people. Would enjoy going back.

Yelp
Delicious! Came in on a Friday with a reservation for 4. We absolutely loved the black cod lettuce wrap, salmon ceviche and rock shrimp. Everything was so fresh and had such yummy flavor. Nothing was too salty or fishy. The NY steak was tender and juicy. Service was amazing. Did not get his name but our server was attentive, kind and even held a light up to help me take photos of my food without asking lol. Restaurant is pretty small so if you're a big group, I'd recommend a reservation in advance. Would definitely return again!

Yelp
2nd time here - Came here with friends on a Friday evening The Truffle Bone Marrow and Char Grilled Baby Octopus were tasty (a little too much for me but my friends loved both of them) Soft shell crab was delicious ! Sea bass lettuce wrap was okay. I really liked the Mango mousse cake. The Tiramisu with green tea ice cream was good too. Our server, Lee was amazing - he was knowledgeable of the menu, great service and very good demeanor. Well-lit, it was not packed so it was not loud at all. Women's restroom clean. Keeping my initial rating of 5 stars - definitely coming back.

Yelp
So glad we got to try this place off the strip! Thank you Eva for recommending this place! If you are looking for something off strip, this place is a must visit! If you compare prices to restaurants on the strip, it's much more affordable. We also made reservations and got seated right away. For a Saturday night, I was surprised it wasn't packed so it was a nice quiet meal for us. There's also plenty of parking space for you so you don't have to worry about that. What we ordered: - Bone marrow with truffle: So worth it! It had so much flavor and the truffle sauce was just perfect. If I was at home, I'd lick the entire plate bc that's how delicious it was to me lol. - Oyster with uni: It's a nice little appetizer. Prepared fresh and delicious! - Japanese fried rice: It was solid and it was tasty. You can't go wrong with ordering this fried rice. We wanted some type of rice dish and this was perfect for the four of us. - Rock Shrimp: It thought this dish was okay. Nothing special to be honest, it was a little salty for my palate. - Salmon sashimi: Yum! You cannot go wrong with the yuzu sauce with the salmon sashimi! We were in a bit of a rush that night since we were seeing a concert but all the food came out so quickly. Thank you to our server for accommodating us as we were on a time crunch as well! Definitely would love to come back again next time I'm in town!

Yelp
Hands down the best Japanese/Euro fusion tapas in the United States I've had so far! Only other place that holds a candle is Bodega Biarritz in Barcelona. This meal was AHHHHHH-MAZE-ING!!!! Very uni-centric, foie gras was delightful and my oh my the raw seafood/fish/oyster offering...OUTSTANDING!!! I honestly thought I was going to have to fly back to Spain for this kind of deliciousness, but nope, just Vegas. Who woulda thunk? If you are a fun of raw fish/seafood/foie gras tapas-look no further! Forget doing omakase, when you can select your choice of high quality epicness in a bite. Like Usher says..."Oh my Gawd".

Yelp
Excellent meal. We will be back. Service was very good. Place is small but cozy. I love that they have divers between tables, I don't like staring at strangers while I eat, lol. We had the yellow tail Himachi, a few different tuna plates. Filet mignon and bone marrow. We didn't love the bone marrow, but everything else was excellent. Loved how the filet was served.

Yelp
This place hands down is my go to and favorite spot for high quality top tier food off the strip. Extremely well done Asian fusion. After 11 PM is happy hour so that's the best time to go! I went for a lovely night out with my girlfriend and this was actually our second time. It's a smaller venue but that makes the experience more intimate and relaxed. There's also outside seating too. Entire staff is very interactive and checks in without any fuss. But for the food.. honestly some of the best in Vegas that isn't on the strip and is actually worth the price point. This kind of quality you wouldn't get anywhere else and you'll actually get full. The reason I made this review was because of the Foie Gras topped over their truffle bone marrow. This dish absolutely blew my mind and is their signature creation. It is definitely an acquired taste for some as my girlfriend didn't like the texture but if it's up your alley I fully believe you should try it. Sashimi was delicious too. Then the angus gyoza was fantastic. It was a 5 star meal all the way. Drinks were good too. They have some stuff on tap. But we got some Sapporo and this strawberry nigori which was pretty good. Would come again for sure!!!!

Yelp
This was an amazing experience! We were served by the chef/owner himself who treats every single person like his personal guest! He and his staff are very attentive and explain every dish as they bring it out. Water never dropped below half full. We had the anniversary chef omakase menu for only $50 each. The food was incredible! The ingredients alone speak for themselves like foie gras, ocean caught prawns, truffle butter, filet, bone marrow, uni, and yellowtail all speak upscale. These are all great on their own but when the chef combines these flavors other complimentary ingredients, a true masterpiece comes together! This is one of the best meals I've had in a long time! Having the chef who created the menu speak to you as you receive your food creates a one of a kind experience! The restaurant is small but they do a great job to separate each table with some decorative walls. It's loud inside but that is fine because that's how the chef wants his food, to be loud and fun! There's some outside dining space too. Overall, can't beat this experience and highly recommend trying this place. Prices are high, but for once, the food is worth it based on ingredients, flavors and experience!

Yelp
Looove this place! It's this fantastic little gem of a spot that's in an otherwise nondescript plaza. If you love tapas, this is the place to try! They have a big menu with decently priced items and the portion sizes are definitely big enough the share. The food quality is amazing as well. I would've expected to pay 2x the price for this kind of quality. We ended up trying out the rock shrimp, truffle bone marrow, black cod lettuce wraps, Scotland salmon, NY strip, and teramoto scallop sashimi. Everything was amazing but the Scotland salmon ended up taking the cake. Idk what that sauce was at the bottom of the dish but it was heavenly. The service was great as well. We went on a Sunday night and it wasn't crowded whatsoever. I think we were probably one of two groups there. Either way, the service was fantastic. The servers were extremely attentive, answered every question we had, always came to fill our waters, ask if we needed anything... top tier service. I honestly can't wait to come back and try out more items on the menu!

Yelp
Please note: this business has lost its liquor license as well as its ability to take credit card payments. This means they've violated some very basic food service standards. It smells awful in here. Not fish, not feces, but a strange combination of both. While my date was across the street at the ATM, I texted him that we should go somewhere else. Trust your gut... and your nose. There's a reason they've lost the right to basic restaurant functions. Sketchy AF. You have to be BAD, for all major credit card companies to refuse you service and the state of NV to revoke your liquor license. The difference between these reviews & photos and the actual establishment was shocking. Something isn't adding up. I think I saved us hours on the toilet, by leaving the building and going to Its IZAKAYA instead.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Great food, unique menu. Been here a couple times already, and each time the food is amazing. Open late, this place has that intimate feel while providing high quality, delicious food. They also bring you food super quickly, and it arrives piping hot. I love their fragrant and flavorful yakisoba, sizzling tobanyaki, Japaneiro fried rice, and gyoza. Got to try their homemade hojicha ice cream, too. All was amazing.

Yelp
Cannot say enough good things about Japaneiro. Food is elite and you don't have the hefty price tag. We made reservations and were greeted and seated. Loved how they had the bamboo separators to make us feel like we were in our own little corner. Perfect! Inside is quaint, but they have a huge outside patio area with tons of seating and perfect for larger parties. We ordered our usuals, black cod lettuce wraps, rock shrimp, our fave teramoto scallop sashimi, salmon tacos, and the house special fried rice, but this time we added on the soft shell crab and the truffle butter prawns. The soft shell crab was light and crisp and loved the sweet, salty broth underneath. It brightened the whole dish and I could have drank the sauce on the bottom with the ikura roe. The Truffle butter prawns were huge, 2 prawns the lenght of my forearm and the were filled with umami from the truffle butter. Big shoutout to our server, super attentive and friendly, and helped by flashing his flashlight on the food as I took photos! That's some great customer service! He said he was a long time customer and loved it so much he started working there!

Yelp
This is our second time back and the food and services are just top notch. Every dishes we had, it was not disappointed, except it was on a smaller portion. Lol, I am not a fan of bone marrow; however, the way it was prepared, it was a bomb, not too greasy and the truffle oils cut the grease off of the bone marrow and the two combination are a match. We all liked the foie gras, the way it was prepared not gamey at all, very satisfying.

Yelp
The place is really small with maybe 5 tables. I like that it had dividers in between tables. Like the other reviews, the sewer smell is the first that will greet you upon entry. We picked the table farthest from the entrance. We were greeted upon entry which was nice. Place inside was clean. Service was quick and prompt. Even clearing the tables were pretty quick too. Food was very scrumptious. All the food we ordered was just mouthwatering goodness. If we can lick the plates, we could've. We departed quickly after dinner as we kinda heard a crack sound from the ceiling. It just rained recently so we didn't want the ceiling to open up on us. Hope it didn't. The special fried rice was not as tasty - it was a bit bland. We also ordered the miso cod that melts in your mouth good.

Yelp
We've passed by Japaneiro many times and finally had a chance to stop by here on a weeknight dinner. They're hidden in a small strip mall on warm springs between Rainbow and Buffalo, so it is quite easy to be missed. We got seated right away without any reservations needed. They have a good size menu with a lot of variety of items, so we decided to order a bunch of them to share. This reminds me of a tapas style restaurant so be sure to know if that's what's in mind for dinner. We ended up ordering the salmon ceviche, chicken skewers, Hokkaido scallops, beef tacos, tuna lotus chips, and their special udon. The food came rather quickly and had great presentation. The best ones were the udon, ceviche, and lotus chips. The udon was very flavorful, and the salmon/tuna were fresh. The chips were crispy and not stale. The Hokkaido scallop were ok, they were small and bland compared to the others. The skewer and beef tacos were also on the less flavorful side. Service was good as well, as they had a hostess greet us and seat us at the table, and the server did a good job in explaining the menu and recommending choices. Overall, this was a pleasant experience for us and we'd come back again once in a while.

Chloe J.

Yelp
This is clearly a restaurant by a chef. The focus is the food and the dining room feels like an after thought but I'd still recommend for a nice dinner. We keep coming back for the salmon sashimi and the NY strip.

Yelp
Holy crap this place is bomb! I can't believe it's taking me this long to get there. It's small and cute inside. It's open late night and the food is killer. we had a really awesome waitress. She was so nice, welcoming us right away and took great care of us. Our water was always full and our food came out super fast. We had the rock shrimp. It totally hit the spot, crunchy with just enough spice. We had the gyoza, which were delicious and a great size. The salted truffle edamame was really good and not overly truffle. It was a nice hint of truffle. What really stole my heart was the black cod and the vegetable fried rice that fried rice is one of the best I've had in a long time. The black cod is a great size portion totally worth the money, it was so delicious, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. There is no reason for me not to come back here. I had the best time and I left full and happy.
