The 12 Best Restaurants In Greenwich - London - The Infatuation

"The gorgeous conservatory at the back of Japes is why you should visit the pizza spot rather than ordering takeaway. Light floods the space during the day and early evening, and at sunset it feels like somewhere you’d usually feel obliged to wear something nice. But really it’s just a fun, casual Greenwich pizzeria with a tacky “How Deep Is Your Love?” neon centrepiece, that’s ideal for low-key dinners, solo lunches, and casual dates. The deep Chicago-style pizzas are thick, with sweet tomato sauce and toppings which can be fairly polarising, such as carbonara (a red flag). The more classic choices such as the Chicago, topped with pepperoni and parmesan, are the best options." - jonathan hatchman

I’m always pleased whenever I go to Japes. They have an amazing Chicago style pizza—as an American, I fully approve! This time I ordered the meatball Chicago pizza—I love the blend of flavours, excellent as always. In addition, they have great service, friendly staff. Couldn’t recommend enough!

We were in the area and wanted some good and different food (different from the Indian food and traditional English food were were eating a lot of on our trip). We had never had London style pizza before so we ordered the Pesto Manifesto and the Classic pizzas London style. The crust was perfectly crunchy and a little more like pan style. I loved my Classic pizza with the shavings of parmesan on top.. didn't feel too heavy and wasn't greasy. I tried a bit of my husband's Pesto pizza and I will say that one felt a lot more greasy and heavy (probably because of the pesto). We definitely should have only gotten one pizza and shared because there was so much food. So highly recommend if you're coming here as a couple, to just share a pizza or have a couple pizzas for a group. I thought they prices were maybe a little high for what you're getting but all in all, we had a great experience here. Oh and if you're an American that loves a ranch and pizza moment, this ranch is thicker versus like a watery ranch.

I wanted to give this place a five star review because the staff are lovely, the atmosphere is great, and the prices are very reasonable. However, whilst the pizzas were delicious we found them a little too cheesy for our taste, and therefore a little heavy going. But the toppings were tasty. Worth it for a treat or if you don't mind a lot of cheese!

I recently visited Japes in Soho, known for its Chicago-style deep dish pizzas, and it was a great experience. The restaurant has a casual, friendly vibe that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your food. The deep dish pizza is the star here—thick, cheesy, and loaded with toppings, but still well balanced without being too heavy. The crust was buttery and crisp, which made a nice contrast to the rich filling. Portion sizes are generous, so it’s perfect for sharing. Service was quick and welcoming, and despite being busy, the team kept things moving smoothly. Prices felt fair for the size and quality of the pizzas. If you’re craving a proper deep dish in London, Japes is definitely worth a visit.

This was a nice place for a lowkey dinner! Menu was straightforward, and we got Veggie Delight and Wicked Chicken (Chicago Style) and the Margherita (London Style). I enjoyed the London style more, although the Chicago style was much more filling. Don’t be fooled by the portion sizes, these pizzas seem tiny but they were hard to finish off! (For three big eaters!) I think they could all just use a little more flavour (per my preference), and the dips really help with that. We got the Truffle Mayo, Garlic Mayo and Buttermilk Ranch, all of which were pretty good. I wouldn’t recommend the Truffle Mayo as I’m not really fan and it overpowers any taste of the pizza. I really wish they’d add a complete spice-based dip to their menu (not spicy mayo!) as I think it can help make the pizzas much more flavourful. Overall, I enjoyed it and I can see myself coming back again at some point! 😄

A great deep dish pizza restaurant on Dean Street in the heart of Soho, just down from the Soho Theatre. The pizza's were very good 🍕 Go for the London style if you don't want a lot of pizza crust. The pizza toppings were fresh and generous. If you can't manage to finish eating everything, you can get the leftovers boxed up to take home! Highly recommend.

Wow, being a pizza lover, I've been wanting to come here for years, and it did not disappoint! U got the margarita Chicago style, and it tasted exactly how I wanted it t9. Really rich tomato sauce, and cheese for days. We also got the wicked chickens halal pizza in London style, which was a super delicious deep pan. The waffle fries with truffle mayo were also a fab way to start off the meal. And yes, we had to take home leftovers! They are small but mighty pizzas . we were served by 4 different members of staff, and all were equally pleasant and professional. Already planning my next visit!

The London Pizza is actually thicker all the way through it’s just dough. The Chicago Pizza crust is the only thick part the rest of it is actually thin crust which I prefer. They should make that clear to you because my mate regrets getting the London one. Also they don’t give you a sharp enough knife to cut the pizza, they give you a butter knife. I asked the guy for a shaper knife and he brought me over the same butter knife 3 times. Not cheap 2 pizzas a wine and beer £57
