The 12 Best Restaurants In Greenwich - London - The Infatuation

"The gorgeous conservatory at the back of Japes is why you should visit the pizza spot rather than ordering takeaway. Light floods the space during the day and early evening, and at sunset it feels like somewhere you’d usually feel obliged to wear something nice. But really it’s just a fun, casual Greenwich pizzeria with a tacky “How Deep Is Your Love?” neon centrepiece, that’s ideal for low-key dinners, solo lunches, and casual dates. The deep Chicago-style pizzas are thick, with sweet tomato sauce and toppings which can be fairly polarising, such as carbonara (a red flag). The more classic choices such as the Chicago, topped with pepperoni and parmesan, are the best options." - jonathan hatchman

I recently visited Japes in Soho, known for its Chicago-style deep dish pizzas, and it was a great experience. The restaurant has a casual, friendly vibe that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your food. The deep dish pizza is the star here—thick, cheesy, and loaded with toppings, but still well balanced without being too heavy. The crust was buttery and crisp, which made a nice contrast to the rich filling. Portion sizes are generous, so it’s perfect for sharing. Service was quick and welcoming, and despite being busy, the team kept things moving smoothly. Prices felt fair for the size and quality of the pizzas. If you’re craving a proper deep dish in London, Japes is definitely worth a visit.

A great deep dish pizza restaurant on Dean Street in the heart of Soho, just down from the Soho Theatre. The pizza's were very good 🍕 Go for the London style if you don't want a lot of pizza crust. The pizza toppings were fresh and generous. If you can't manage to finish eating everything, you can get the leftovers boxed up to take home! Highly recommend.

We ordered two Chicago style pizzas and wow did we underestimate how filling they would be! Great tasting pizza and different from anything I’ve had before. I’ve been fortunate enough to try pizza all over Italy and the east coast USA but I’ve never had anything like this from Chicago. Tomato was so rich and the cheese was amazing. Smoky pepperoni and the dough was fluffy too. We were able to get a very small box to take away a few bits we couldn’t finish. I’d recommend coming here to anyone in the SoHo area. 4:40 reservation and there were lots of seats but by the time we left at 6:00 the place was packed!

Best pizza in London. Absolutely great for non-meat eaters. The pesto manifesto pizza was fantastic, along with twice baked potato wedges and padron peppers. The prices are really fair and the staff are all friendly and helpful. This is always our first choice for Pizza in London, thanks again Japes.

Wow, being a pizza lover, I've been wanting to come here for years, and it did not disappoint! U got the margarita Chicago style, and it tasted exactly how I wanted it t9. Really rich tomato sauce, and cheese for days. We also got the wicked chickens halal pizza in London style, which was a super delicious deep pan. The waffle fries with truffle mayo were also a fab way to start off the meal. And yes, we had to take home leftovers! They are small but mighty pizzas . we were served by 4 different members of staff, and all were equally pleasant and professional. Already planning my next visit!

First time trying Japes. Good size restaurant, atmosphere was decent but the Pizza was really good. Great ingredients, tasted fresh and it was really filling, easily can be shared. What lacked for me was the service, not very tentative. So don't expect to be wowed! Also a kind message to the owners, please fix your air conditioning, it's a medium to large restaurant and only two units working, extremely hot inside, the staff were even complaining, I wanted to get dessert but couldn't bare the heat and decided to leave. Overall a decent place to get a nice pizza.

Japes at soho had some nice pizzas with a different style. The pizzas were flavourful and the pizza base was also very tasty. The nachos was the best though and the garlic bread can be skipped you’re having a pizza because its almost the same taste as the pizza bread. A nice restaurant to come for lunch or dinner with friends and it has a lot of seating.

This was the best damn pizza I’ve ever had! I’m from the States and have had my share of amazing pizza, but this one tops my charts. I will definitely keep coming back to London for the London-style pizza! It was absolutely perfect! You’ve mastered my favorite food, and I can't thank you enough!
