Best Breweries in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"This quirky brewpub from the Oddfellows and Revelers Hall people serves a lineup of eight rotating beers in a space inspired by Central European cafes. When it’s hot out, we like the quaffable Mexican lager called La Jefa, and Pour de France, a light, low-ABV farmhouse ale. Both go nicely with the lightly battered fish and chips or the snappy sausages served with tangy kraut and warm German potato salad." - Courtney E. Smith

Google
I am rating this place purely on beer and atmosphere as I did not eat. So, I was in Dallas to visit friends, and while they were at work, I did some exploring. After picking up BBQ in Deep Ellum, I wandered south and realized I could take a street car to within three minutes of this brewery. Then, I saw that they brew my favorite style: English pub ale. As I approached the pub, I saw that it was decked out in quintessential English pub trimmings, thereby solidifying my decision to go (being a lover of English ales in English pubs). Well, as it turns out, despite being an English pub in decor, their beer is truly excellent across the board. I had a dark Japanese lager, a dry Irish stout, one of the best marzens of my life, and the beer I came there for: Charming Ale (an English pub ale, aka ordinary English bitter, not "ordinary" in that it was mediocre, that is literally the name of the style!). All beers were amazing, and the one that led me there in the first place, the English pub ale, was definitely the best. The US is awash with English pubs, but how many actually brew their own English-style beer? Had a great chat with the brewer, and I think this place is destined for big things with their combination of cool, divey, British atmosphere and first-class beer. If I lived in Dallas, I'd be here every week (or more)!

Wonderful pub with great beers and servers. I timed my visit right and there was an amazing band performing. This will become Dallas' home for World Cup'n. Get on board mates!

What a great first experience! Our bartender James was AMAZING! He made the experience so great we came back the next day! He recommended the Bloody Mary bar. Delicious as he makes the Bloody Mary mix in house. We stuffed our Bloody Mary with lots of yummy goodies! The charcuterie board was hearty and fantastic, a must order menu item. The brunch was just ONE POINT! You can’t go wrong here. Make the trip ☺️

I would consider walking two miles in Nike slides just to have their French dip sandwiches. This is the best French dip I had in Dallas, hands down. If you are a beer drinker they brew their own beers . The restaurant has a wide selection of entrees. This place is a must try for a great time , laid back vibe, and delicious food.

Cool spot! Relatively new, but classic pub feel. Solid classic beer options, some of which are canned. Good options are coming from the deli next door, and it's the star of the show. Best meat plate combo of pastrami and fatback I've had in a long time. Adults can also cut loose with chalk markers. Super friendly folks, too.

Great food, drinks, and service! Adrianna was super helpful and engaging. We got the burger which was delicious and almost gourmet! The cider was amazing as well. All their drinks and food were great.

Expertly crafted micro brew pub with full bar and delicious food from the attached sandwich counter. Professional fast and friendly service. Amazing aroma of fresh brewing beer fills the air. Love the seating layout indoors and outside. Dartboard is a perfect touch. Recommended!

Yelp
Came for the beer and stayed for the food! Had a flight and my favorite were their honey Hefeweizen and dark lager. The pork belly taco board was amazing! Definitely something that can be shared between multiple people or enjoyed as a meal. The pork belly was perfectly meaty without being too fatty. The tomatillo sauce had a nice mild flavor. Staff were attentive and friendly!

Yelp
This has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Dallas. I first stopped by Jaquval at the beginning of the summer, and since then I've been back a few times -- each visit just as good as the last. Most recently, I came by in the mid-afternoon with a couple of friends to grab a drink and get a little work done, and once again, this place delivered exactly what we were looking for. The vibe here is always super chill. They play music at a nice, reasonable volume -- enough to give the place some energy, but never so loud that it gets in the way of conversation or focus. It's a great spot to relax or even sneak in some work without distractions. The beer list is solid. Plenty of choices, but not overwhelming. On this visit, I went with the Bishop Arts Lager, and it was perfect -- crisp, light, and just one of those easy beers you can sip on all afternoon while chatting or working. Definitely one I'll keep coming back for. I also had the French Dip, and it was excellent. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the au jus had that rich taste that really pulls everything together. Definitely above expectations for pub food. The staff has been consistently awesome across all my visits -- always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful with recommendations. You can tell they care about both the food and the beer, and that makes the experience even better. Overall, the great beer, tasty food, and laid-back atmosphere, it's the perfect place for a midday or mid-afternoon getaway. Looking forward to many more visits!

Yelp
Cute place good food.. Can't speak for the beer because I don't drink beer but listening to the patrons around me makes me think that they have good beer as well. Casual atmosphere.. very cozy Small outside patio.. place is attached to Trades delicatessen Pastrami Reuben was outstanding Italian salad was big and perfectly dressed Wine selection is good (I'm thrilled that a brewpub has wine in the first place but they took the time to make it quaffable) The bartender was so nice and friendly. I think they have live music but I was there too early Will definitely return

Yelp
Cool brewery with a British pub feeling. Staff is nice and helpful. Many different brew styles should have something for everyone. My favorites were the Hazy and the Coffee stout. Give it a try.

Yelp
The first thing you'll notice is that this brewery has a really cool and unique atmosphere. It's decorated with lots of different decorations so that you can look at them the whole time that you're there. I really enjoyed that part of it but my friend who likes a clean aesthetic did not he said it was overwhelming. Both people I was with said that the beer was pretty good but nothing extraordinary they each got flights. I don't like beer so I got a glass of wine and it had a heavy pour. This brewery also has a full bar if you're looking for something with more variety

Yelp
Got there around 7 on a Saturday night. The place was mostly empty and had British pub decor with early 2000s pop blasting which was weird. We sat and all the wood was sticky even though it was early. We had already ordered so we stayed for 1 beer which was fine but nothing special and left. I wouldn't recommend going, especially when there are tons of better options literally a few feet away.

Yelp
Great service and great food. I got the fish and chips and my husband got the Ruben. They each came with different fries it was fun to try both. The decor is really unique.

Yelp
We sought this place out for the beers and took in some sandwiches to round out our experience. The service was friendly and helpful. We just felt bad that he was working lunch all by himself both waiting tables and serving at the bar. The ambiance of this place gives you a lot to look at with some eclectic retro decor. For beverages, we started with the Honeybuster Hefe and the Brewkowski and both liked our selections. My husband later tried This Charming Ale. His favorite of the two was the Brewkowski. For food we went with the NY Pastrami Sandwich and the Chicken Panini. My husband really like the Pastrami sandwich. Great flavor and solid portion. We both found we couldn't stop eating the fries too! I liked the Chicken panini even though I was expecting a flat sliced bread with the traditional pressed look. It has great flavor with the pesto and chicken. We'll be coming back to try other brews.
