Jar Bar

I been working in Northbrook over a year and we recently tried Jar Bar. It was delicious! Different healthy food choices, the majority is gluten free but the best part was the price. We will be going back more often.

Food was excellent! We ate outside, but the inside looked like a fine place to eat. I had the plain Jane with bacon and eggs, as well as a crunch time toast with more bacon and eggs. The staff were all cool, and even the owner popped by to ask us how we were liking everything. That's always great to see.

I just ate here for the first time. I have a gluten allergy and the staff were so accommodating and were able to ensure it was safe to eat. I got a rice bowl and it was amazing! So many good healthy ingredients with an awesome taste!

Interesting concept. They have several healthy food options. I brought a rainbow cake in a jar which tasted great. Service was friendly and quick. They have a lot of space to sit and eat. I will try their other food items in the future.

Cute place in downtown Northbrook, ideal for grabbing a quick bite to eat with friends or family. Plenty of healthy options with quirky named dishes. Portions are not large. My main complaint is that the meal came in a disposable container with a disposable utensil. Why have such a sweet name as 'Jar Bar' and then use cheap plastic? Bad for the environment and cheapens the entire experience.

Fantastic breakfast and lunch. I am so happy that jar bar moved into downtown Northbrook to give more healthy eating options for decent prices. Now they just need to add green smoothies to the menu! :)

Pricey for what it is, but they got to make money, right? Thankfully the actual food itself was tasty. The "jar" dishes are pretty easy to make at home... what is difficult is sourcing all the different fresh ingredients and not having them go to waste. That is what you are paying for (in addition to the hip decor). I may go back again to try their poke jars, which is the new trendy food. But I am so hip I was already into poke from my trip to Hawaii years ago. Dang, but why can't banhmi become the next trendy food in Chicago area?

Love this concept. The menu is perfect- good variety of options without being overwhelming. They were very helpful and super clean! Love the coffee on tap!
