Choosing the right Peruvian restaurant for a family celebration is not always easy, especially for something as meaningful as a parents’ anniversary. This restaurant has become a tradition for us, a place we return to for special moments like anniversaries and career milestones. This place is amazing, amazing! 😍 The food is so good — you definitely have to try the Churrasco Chaufa when you go. The sangria was really good too, and the glass is huge! 🍷 The Dulce de Leche Mil Hojas with strawberries was 100 out of 20 — seriously delicious and a must-try dessert! 🍓✨ I’ve been there several times, and while I still love it, I’ve noticed the portions have gotten smaller lately. They used to include sweet plantains with the dish, but not anymore. Still, I totally recommend it!

It was truly an extraordinary experience that I have had in quite some time. Upon entering the mall, I was pleasantly surprised to discover Jarana. The ambiance, cuisine, beverages, and the warmth of the hospitality were simply exceptional. From the moment we were welcomed at the entrance, we felt completely at ease. Our server, Ludwing, whose expertise on the food and its origins is unparalleled, is highly recommended. He was able to answer every question I had, from the restaurant's name's significance to the intricate details of each dish's history. I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to visit and savor the culinary delights offered here.

Had a fantastic time at Jarana! We decided to order a few dishes to get a good feel for the menu. We went with the ceviche, pork belly and arroz —each dish was beautifully plated and packed with flavor. The seasoning was spot on, and everything was executed to perfection. We also tried a few cocktails, and they were exactly what we needed to complement the meal—well-balanced and refreshing. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick, making the whole experience even better. As for the price, it was quite reasonable considering the quality, so definitely good value for money. Absolutely loved this place! I went to Jarana Restaurant and tried the classic ceviche, causa nikkei, and jalea — everything was so fresh and full of flavor. The ceviche had that perfect citrus kick, the causa was super creamy with a nice Nikkei twist, and the jalea… crispy, golden, and just delicious. The vibe was really nice too — great music, friendly staff, and a fun atmosphere that makes you want to stay for another pisco sour. Definitely one of my favorite Peruvian spots around! 🇵🇪🔥

DO NOT RECOMMENDED. Very bad 1st time dining experience. Very Bad service, got rip off by the server who recommended the signature kitchen entry without inform/telling us the price at front, very shady practice not telling us the price because it’s not on the menu and it’s $170 for one entries when bill came, it is very dishonest practice and behavior! Services is very poor, food is very salty, we have to keep drinking water because salty, do not come again! Service: ask staff for water and they were just walk around, they seems busy but keep around and had to asked 3 times for water Price: Overpriced!!! “Tomahawk” is not on menu which recommended by the server without telling us the price at the beginning. We were thinking to give it a try. Didn’t even think it would cost $170 for one steak and we wouldn’t want to try it. Importantly it tasted very salty and dry! Food: Very salty, Steak overcooked and dry, chicken wings not even hot but only warm and still tasted frozen

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The atmosphere is festive and there were a couple of birthday celebrations with drums and singing 🎶. Service is friendly, attentive and bilingual. The food was authentic and very tasty 😋. Definitely recommend

Had the pleasure of visiting Jarana during a very busy day at American Dream! The restaurant was nearly full but we were sat immediately. I got the PISCO Punch which was a PISCO drink with pineapple and was very sweet. It even came in a pineapple shaped glass. We ordered the ceviche limeno app and it was SO good. I could've kept eating if there was more. Also ordered the churrasco for dinner which came with a fried egg and potatoes. If you're going to American Dream, Jarana is the best dining option (at least in my opinion!). It's something different that you can't get anywhere else in the area!

This review is long overdue! I thought I'd just get over my experience and leave it alone since I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews... but every time I think about this place I'm met with bitter feelings. To start things off, I will say the food here is delicious. The anticucho corazon and cebiche limeno are so flavorful and they made me one happy diner. Until we received our bill... Our server upsold us on ~*Saratoga Spring Water*~ without any kind of warning. She asked us if we wanted sparkling or flat water and we picked flat, not knowing it would still be a $9 charge! We confronted her about this and she took no responsibility for it, instead blaming(!!) us for not asking for tap. She argued that she offered us "tap, flat, or sparkling water" when that is simply not true. My partner and I looked around the restaurant and noticed that every table she was serving had a bottle, while the other tables with a different server didn't. There's no way that all of the tables in her section knowingly agreed to pay for $9 water, and the fact that she was so defensive about it reaffirms that it was a sleazy technique to upsell. I even saw another reviewer complain about this which is why I finally decided to write something. - - - TL;DR, ask for tap water unless you want to be haunted by Saratoga Spring Water like I am.

Thoroughly enjoyed Jarana, a Peruvian restaurant near Escape Rooms in American Dream Mall. My husband surprised me for my birthday with their Jarana Experience (about $50 per person; set course tasting menu), and we both left with our bellies full and happy. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond with a full band in singing "Happy Birthday" to me. They were pretty good! The ambience and decor added to the festive, celebratory environment. The Jarana Experience ($50 per person): Tuna Wantacos ($21) -- my favorite from the experience. Crispy and airy shell with fresh tuna tartare, avocado and aji amarillo sauce. Cebiche Clasico ($27) -- white tuna ceviche with sweet potato, cancha corn (crunchy and yummy) and giant corn kernels drizzled with Leche de Tigre. Chicharron de Pollo ($19) -- second favorite; this was one of the tastiest fried chicken I've had. The two sauce options (chifa flavors and rocoto mayo) add tremendously to the dish and give two very distinct flavors from a single dish. Lomo Saltado ($36) -- enjoyed this dish very much; it reminded me of a childhood gravy steak that I used to have often. Meat lovers, don't be too disappointed there isn't that much beef tenderloin... The dish is well balanced with rice, sauce, wok-fired tomatoes, aji peppers, onions and beef tenderloin. Torta de Chocolate ($13.50) -- like a chocolate Tres De Leche. Super moist and yummy~ Also got their Chicha Morada ($10; purple corn, pineapple, apple, spices mocktail) by recommendation. It's their classic Peruvian drink, the waiter told me. It's plain but enjoyable! Coming back for sure! ------------------------ *EDIT* Yikes, came back, and a couple of random dishes weren't as good as the Jarana Experience.. We got the El Poderoso ($38; a 1/2 chicken and rice dish) and the Churrasco a la Limena ($38; green pasta with 12oz strip steak). The chicken was slightly dry, but the fried rice was decent. They screwed up my steak and pasta order twice -- the first time, they brought out a steak and rice dish; the second time, I asked for "medium" a little pink in the middle (I let the waitress know it's okay if it's a little red)... It came out medium well to well-done and the steak was super dry... The waitress was really sassy and rude, too. However, the manager kindly and thankfully gave me the messed up meal for free.. Tempted to give them 4 stars, but keeping the five because there are some gems from the Jarana Experience.

Acurio International delivers per usual, the restaurant group is reliable in consistency and quality. Loved it. Had cebiche, lomo saltado, pisco. Great ambiance and service was professional.

It was cool to learn that "Jarana" in Peru means Celebration, which explains the festive vibe experienced once we walked into the establishment. Vibrant / Colorful decor is throughout Jarana. We ordered the 1.) Chaufa Mostro Entree - Veggie Fried Rice, Mushrooms served w/ crispy Fried Chicken, Fried Potatoes, Polleria Dressing & Huacatay Cream & the 2.) Aji de Galina Entree - Aji Amarillo & pulled Chicken Stew. Both dishes were flavorful, hearty & delicious. Beautiful restaurant with spectacular service. Drinks are good- love all the traditional Peruvian cocktails. The ceviche is good but I liked the leche Tigre even more. The chaufa aeropeurto was excellent. Chocolate cake for dessert is mind blowing.

Went to a group today and tried many other dishes. Definitely like their fish. It's seasoned nicely and pan fried right on the spot. Service is great. Food came out quickly and they were very attentive. Bathroom is clean. Spacious dining area. Very vibrant decorations.

The ambiance here is 10 outta 10. They did a fantastic job with the space and this is definitely one of the most gorgeous restaurants that I've seen. We posted up at the bar for a happy hour drink. Prices here are steep! To be expected at American Dream though. Luckily we were able to take advantage of happy hour pricing, and they offer a variety of pisco cocktails on special for $10. My cocktail was delicious, strong and refreshing. It was basically just like a Moscow mule, but with pisco. There are also select bites for $10. The chicken empanadas were amazing, and the portion was very generous and came with two overstuffed empanadas. I'd definitely like to return and sit down for a proper meal soon.

I'd seen this place all over the American dream mall social media and decided to give it a try . This restaurant is located on the third floor of the American dream mall, it has plenty of space for large groups and great decor and music. There's of course a huge parking lot for the mall so you won't have trouble parking, I recommend lot A, it was closest to the restaurant. I ordered their mango Inca drink and 2 empanadas ( beef stew ). The drink was delicious and refreshing and the empanadas were also very good and flavorful . For entree I got the Lomo saltado and it did not disappoint, I added an egg and yum ! I wish I would have had room for dessert but that just makes me want to come back to try some more food and dessert.

People working are kind polite an Awesome ! Great food and super quick and fresh! I've been here three times and it's always delish ! Get the lomo saltado if you aren't sure what to try . It's simple and yummy !!!

We went for a Saturday lunch and this time I saw a different menu that had different items from weekday lunch menu. This time I ordered the Trucha Parrillera, a rainbow Trout steamed fish with incredibly flavorful sauce alongside rice and vegetables. Also got to try Chaufa Tusan, delicious Paella style seafood dish. The restaurant was gorgeous, all the pretty artifacts and colors created a wonderful Peruvian vibe. All the staff were very friendly, paying attention to guests and cleaning tables fast. Food came out of the kitchen within short time.

If you're going to eat here, you better come hungry. The menu is vast, the portions are immense and the drinks are stiff. That alone should be good enough for a 5 star review. But if you want go get into details, well the best option for us was when I had the sampler and was able to indulge in a variety of popular options. The tacos were excellent and a great way to start things off. The ceviche was fresh but the taste was just ok for me. The fried chicken was divine and the beef was 1000000% amazing. The chocolate cake dessert was also excellent - not too sweet or heavy. My gut tells me - go with the sampler if it's your first time. Also the kid's roast chicken dish was amazing, the kids absolutely loved it. The ambiance here is extremely loud - the music was a bit intense and it also prompted people to talk way louder than necessary. However it is festive and the vibe was nice, aside from the overly loud surroundings. The service is good and relatively attentive. I would say this is definitely a top choice for restaurant choices in this cavernous mall.

I have visited Jarana twice now, once for dinner on a Sunday and another for happy hour on a Wednesday. It's a large restaurant at the American Dream mall, with seating in the restaurant and just outside in the mall area. It is pretty fancy compared to the Peruvian restaurants I have visited in Elizabeth and Passaic. They have an open kitchen which you can see from the dining area. For dinner, we tried the EXPERIENCIA JARANA, which requires at least 2 people and comes with the tuna wantacos, chicharron de pollo, cebiche clasico, lomo saltado, and torta de chocolate. The food is good, but if you order all the items a la carte, it comes out to the same price anyway. My favorite item was the tuna wantacos which were refreshing, savory, smoky, sweet, and spicy all at once. The lomo saltado was also surprisingly good, they used filet mignon and the pieces were actually medium rare instead of overcooked. Our waiter was very fast and knowledgeable of the menu. Happy hour was a slightly different experience. The happy hour menu was only available at the bar from 4pm to 6pm, which is fine. But I had my infant daughter and nephews with me, and apparently they are not welcome at the bar even if my party is the only one sitting at the bar area and we are only ordering the bar bites on the happy hour menu. My cousin offered to take the kids for a stroll while the rest of us grabbed some bites. I ordered a piscojito since the kids werent around anyway along with the croquetas, chicarron bites, tuna wantacos, cebiche clasico, jalea, and nikkei wings. At $10 a pop, these are way more worth it than the experiencia Jarana. The seafood dishes are definitely my favorite things here. I'd be more likely to return for happy hour than for dinner for the value, but it is annoying that i can't bring a kid with me even if i'm only ordering food.

First time here, & the food was perfect. Medium sized venue inside of American Dream Mall. Has a section for "outside" seating, which is just outside of the main restaurant on the mall floor. Staff was friendly, service was quick. We had Chicharron Sliders, Churrasco Chaufa, Churrasco Tallarin Verde, Margarita, Whiskey & Coke. Amazing experience, worth the trip. Tucked away on the 3rd floor of the American Dream mall, truly authentic and tasty Peruvian experience. The food was delicious recommend their ceviche and chicha morada drink was especially tasty and made well. The service was excellent, while pricey definitely worth it to visit this trendy and beautiful establishment.

Beef heart Anticucho 5/5, we ordered it median, which came perfectly cooked and seasoned. Will defiantly order it again. Also ordered their $49 per person fixed menu, it includes the tunataco, ceviche, chicharon, and lomo saltado. Tuna taco 5/5. I usually don't like the hard shell taco, but this is the best we had! The taco is very small though, bite size only. Ceviche 4/5. It's your average ceviche, nothing special. Chicharon 2/5. Huge disappointment. Under seasoned deep fried chicken... the two dipping sauce same with it are pretty much just mayonnaise and water down lemon juice.. would not recommend it. Lomo saltado 3.5/5. This is usually my favorite Peruvian dish, is very hard to ruin it, but somehow I'm not a huge fan this time, the meat is super dry, I had a hard time trying to swallow it.. the flavor is there but I would not recommend it.

I had went for Valnetine's Day! Very vibrant, colorful and fun restaurant! Our waiter was very pleasant and I enjoyed our seating arrangement near the bar. I liked my food and my boyfriend LOVED his Lomo Saltado - all he talked about for days! Will be back for sure!

Good portions, taste great for the mall. I was pleasantly surprised. We got the shared plate and the Saltado pasta.

The food was good, the presentation was good, the atmosphere was good, and our waiter was good. It's pricey, but overall, it was a good experience, and I would go back to try other things. For a first timer, the menu can be overwhelming because you wouldn't know what it is without reading the contents and googling for images. For this reason, they have a set menu for $49 per person, and your whole table will need to be committed. We might try this next time. Our kid's chicken meat was strangely grey but still tasted good.

We tried this new restaurant at the American Dream Mall. Ambience was great. We ordered the Anticucho as an appetizer, it was supper tender, the side potatoes were super crispy and the green sauce that comes with it was delicious. Authentic Peruvian food with some Huacatay on it. Lomo Saltado and marinero rice had a wok smoky flavor which was great. Highly recommend.

Wanted to love it, but did not. I did absolutely love the ambiance. It was beautifully decorated with enjoyable music that left you feeling like you were at a Peruvian party. Service was good. Although the restaurant was hopping, the server was warm, patient, and very nice. If you are not familiar with Peruvian food, take time reviewing the menu pictures, because there is quite a learning curve with need for googling, despite brief glossary in menu. The fusion of Latin American, Chinese, and Japanese cuisine is unlike anything else. I had the El Capitan cocktail -- Peruvian versian of Manhattan. I'll stick with a Manhattan. My date had the Pisco Sour Classic. He did not care for it and I tasted it and found I liked it less than mine. Four people split 2 chicken empanadas for an appetizer. It is stuffed with chicken, parmesan cheese, and aji amarillo -- a creamy sauce made from aji amarillo chile peppers and queso fresco. It was ok. 1/2 (about two or 3 forkfulls) was more than enough for me. Very different than Cuban, Dominican, and Columbian empanadas. I had the roast chicken dish. It was good, but not worth $36 for 1/2 a small rotisserie chicken served with rice, potatoes, and a tiny bit of plantains. My date and our friend both had Arroz Marinero. It was a seafood stir fry that was very very spicy and he said he would not order it again if he returned. She would not either. Her date had the Churrasco a la Limena -- he said it was good but he wouldn't need to have it again. That all being said, I think that Peruvian food may not be my thing. I did not feel well after dinner, so it just did not agree with me. I wish I could give it 3.5 stars and am vacillating between 3 and 4. But, I may try Peruvian food one more time at a different restaurant -- maybe ceviche. If Peruvian food is your thing or you want to try a different cuisine, this is a great place for a date night or family outing at The American Dream.

Visited this restaurant for dinner with my bf. Surprisingly I did not know this restaurant is the only location in New Jersey and The other location is in Florida. With that being said I had high expectations for the food, which was not the case . We ordered the shrimp lomo & sangria. It was very very average. The prices are also very expensive for the quality and amount of food . Also the sangria tasted like juice rather then wine and it was $20 a glass . We sat at the bar to eat and our server barely spoke English which is a problem for me . Anyone who works in restaurants and communicate with the customers SHOULD KNOW AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!!

First time eating here, as it came highly recommended. I take note of restaurants that immediately take attention to their party's allergies. I have a serious mushroom allergy and another person in our party had allergies as well. That was a good start off to the experience. Our appetizers came out rather quickly and both were delicious. The Chicharron de pollo and Cebiche criollo were great. I personally loved the chicharron de pollo as the chicken was fresh and the two dipping sauces were great. There was a spicy sauce and a light lime sauce. There was some miscommunication between our server and the kitchen which was frustrating. I ordered the burrata salad off their main menu and after placing our order the appetizers and my friend's entree came out. My salad never arrived. Then the manager came out and we asked where my salad was and he went to check on it. Then our main server came back and didn't say anything until I asked where my salad was and he responded with oh it is actually sold out. Then sometime later the manager came back out asking if I enjoyed my salad. There was a huge disconnect between our server, the kitchen, and manager which was rather frustrating. Fortunately I was full from the appetizers so it wasn't a complete loss. I would like to come back and give them another try.

5 stars! Had a great time here and this was my first visit to the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford NJ. I came here with some friends who raved about the restaurant a few weeks ago as they discovered it while visiting the mall. I was a little hesitant at first as I usually don't associate great food and malls. Malls have definitely changed! It has a good amount of seating, inside outside on the mall concourse and at the bar. Out server Louisa was extremely friendly, helpful and outgoing. She made sure everything was going well checking in regularly. She also changed our dishes and silverware after we finished a few appetizers we ordered. We met the manager later on, complimented Louisa and the restaurant on the food and service. We started with drinks, they have a full bar, offer wine, beer sangria, mixed drinks,etc. Sangria was $20 although it's HUGE! 2 people could share it. I had the white sangria and it was strong. For apps we had the tuna wantaco which was soooo good we ordered seconds. The Cebiche Criollo and Cebiche Nikkei, Empanadas de Aji de Gallina and the Nikei Chicken Wings .Everything was really GREAT!! We could have stopped there but we didn't LOL. Four of us shared the 32 oz Prime Angus bone in Rib Eye steak and the El Poderoso. We wound up taking home most of entrees. I would highly recommend them, had a great time, was not rushed, met the manager who was very nice as well. I would definitely go back.

The restaurant is beautiful filled with vibrant colors and beautiful decor. The drinks menu was fun and I loved the passion fruit Pesco I ordered. I also tried the papa a las huancaina and the jalea which were both delicious. A higher price point than I'm used to spending on Peruvian food but for the atmosphere, I understand why. The server was very friendly and checked in on us often. I'd return here.

I'm only giving this place four stars because the service wasn't that great and it was very slow. Reservations seem to be needed during the weekend after 6 pm. You can be put on the waitlist if you'd like on OpenTable. This place was featured on insta, so perhaps that's why it's so popular. I couldn't decide on what to order here, so we got the tuna wantaco for appetizers. It was so delicious. For myself, I got the Lomo Saltado, which is a popular and traditional Peruvian & Chinese dish. It's stir fry dish with sirloin or steak, onions, French fries, and tomatoes. I enjoyed it a lot and would recommend it.

I've been meaning to check this place out for a while, I have heard good things about Jarana. Jarana stands on business. We went in the evening hours and were able to be seated promptly (we even had a reservation but were able to get seated earlier). Having recently been to Peru myself I was craving some authentic Peruvian cuisine and Jarana does just that. Jarana transported me straight back to Peru with every bite. Nestled in the American Dream Mall, this spot delivers authentic Peruvian flavors that instantly satisfied my cravings. My girlfriend and I started with the ceviche. It was fresh, zesty, and perfectly balanced paired with classic pisco sours that were smooth and refreshing. The lomo saltado was everything I hoped for: tender, flavorful, and reminiscent of the plates I enjoyed in Peru. Every dish felt like a true taste of home away from home. My only regret? Not ordering food to take home with me. Will definitely be coming back again!

TLDR: It's on the lower end of 4 stars. The flavors were pretty solid, but it doesn't pop out compared to other Peruvian restaurants. We decided to go with the "Experience Jarana" set menu which was expensive in the grand scheme of things, which is why I was a bit let down. Tuna Wantaco: This is probably the best bite of the meal. I've only had Nikkei style tuna tartare a few times before but this is probably the best version that I've had. Cebiche clasico: Sour flavors aren't exactly my forte, so all I can say for this is the fish was good. That being said, white fish is hard to mess up. Lomo Saltado: Textbook Lomo Saltado flavors. The beef was tender, the rice was decent, and the sauce was good. Peruvian first timers can rely on this to be the "thing to try". Torta de chocolate: Chocolate cake was on the sweet side. I liked it was it was a good transition from the sour to salty to sweet. It was pretty big too, so can't complain there. Service: Staff were fine. Although we didn't ask for much Ambiance: We sat outside the restaurant perimeter, but I could see that the interior was full of colors that were visually stimulating.

It was my birthday and my family brought me here for dinner. Let me tell you everything was absolutely delicious. The ambiance and the music was hip and trendy. I suggest you make reservations because it gets crowded. The waiter was super nice. It was even more special when the staff brought my ice cream with a candle and sang happy birthday to me. All the dishes were amazing. I can't describe them because you just have to taste it for yourself. I can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu. It's a great spot for those who truly enjoy savory every bite they eat.

Congrats on the continued job well done! Came back recently to try the Churrasco Chaufa, which was tasty and came with a ton of meat, but the fried rice was a tad on the salty side for me. Nevertheless, the return experience solidified Lomo Saltado as my favorite dish at Jarana!

I am probably biased here bc I am generally not a huge fan of american dream mall. you have to pay for parking which is atypical. ok, fine, if you have a family then might be tolerable. but I digress. nice decor and ambiance. tasty food but would say they are trying for luxury peruvian food, which is almost a misnomer. so for the prices, not a fan here.

I am always blown away by how good the food is here. But be careful, if each person orders one or two cocktails the bill will run you 100+ per person. We ordered Pisco de Maracuyá for the table which was 5 of us plus the guys had two or more beers each, the girls all had two pisco sours each, plus the appetizer we shared which was an explosion of flavor! The sushi appetizer is definitely one of their best appetizers if not the best! The ambiance is very lively, beautiful aesthetically, very instagrammable restaurant but what sets it apart is the food here. I am a fan of Peruvian cuisine (not being Peruvian myself) but I have gone on a solo trip to hike Machupichu just because I love Peruvian food and I wanted to try the real deal Peruvian food from Peru (it was all amazing) and this place doesn't remind me of the food I had in Peru but it stands side by side in quality. This is a fusion restaurant so it is not by any means traditional. But a lot of thought and ingenuity goes into creating all these delicious dishes! I tried the Jalea, ceviche and Arroz Marinero for the first time that night because I have never been to Jarana on a weekend night and they were all Amazing! One of the best I've had! This place is a MUST TRY! Another mention: our server was very nice and accommodating. He had great recommendations and even gave us a complimentary birthday dessert for the birthday girl. It was all just wonderful, the chocolate cake with Lucuma is so delicious unlike anything you've ever had!

Finally had a chance to stop by Jarana and try their culinary offerings. What can I say, took me a minute to find them, they are located in the 3rd floor court a (I found out this after parking in the c parking lot, so it was quite a walk ) Now onto the food, we had the nikkei wings which were decent, felt more like microwaved than fri d and the accompanying green sauce not quite like other peruvians place I been to, not sure if it was the black mint ingredient in it) Next was the main plates, one was pulpo al olivo, was more like an appetizer portion, tasty but those soda crackers it came with it killed the vibe, maybe tostones or a more savory cracker is what really need to compliment it. Next plate was el pollo poderoso, 1/2 rotisserie chicken, plain chaufa, maduros and wedge fries about a 5/10, chicken smelled good but didnt taste as it smelled, more like chicken got basted as it was reaching completion. Place ambience is nice, feels more like an Applebee's to be honest. Service was good and attentive, but I don't think Ill be coming back for seconds.

Jaranas' visual spectrum is upper echelon, top shelf dining. It's incredible that such a gem is in a mall? Only bad aspect is to find parking & the location due to the large size of the mall. I dined in on a Sunday afternoon & there was a food truck event which closed the LotA parking lot. Just getting into the mall was chaos. I walked 3miles from The parking lot to the restaurant & my friend has Multiple Sclerosis so walking is difficult. It was worth it. The service, food, ambiance, was immaculate & to the detail. Bathrooms are super clean, there were plenty of staff & they were all friendly. I ordered cocktails & the 4course special which was 2 appetizers, 1 entree & a dessert. Their menu is extensive & full of delicious options. This establishment is my new favorite restaurant! Can't wait to come back! In the age of inflation; everything about Jarana is top tier!

The aji de gallina was as good as we remember from a year ago. This was the first time I ordered the lomo. It's a bit pricy for the amount of pieces of lomo they put on your plate. It is mostly onion and tomatoes. Also I asked for the meat to be medium well but it was hard and a piece seemed a bit burnt. This was disappointing. I had high hopes for the meal. The drinks, the ceviche and the dessert were all delicious.

Cute place; for an indoor mall restaurant option. Great Service. Great Food. We would all go back!

This was my first time eating peruvian food. It was a cute spot in the american dream mall. Has outside space in mall and inside space. We sat in outside space as my friend had her baby with her. The waitress was helpful in giving us options on what to order especially b/c I only eat chicken and vegetables. They suggest to do family style as that how you can enjoy peruvian food the most as it meant to be shared. We order pappa a la huancaina for appetizer which in my opinion is just cheesy steamed potatoes and it was cold so I would say skip this as it wasn't good as lacked flavor. For entrees we ordered el poderoso and tallarin saltado chicken. I would say poderoso was the favorite dish as it was tasty and authentic. The tallarin saltado was a fusion dish and it was pretty good but i still like poderoso the most.

Ceviche Criollo - very good, well seasoned, right amount of tartness, milky flavor with slight kick, fish was on the leaner side, fried calamari was a nice texture addition. Tuna Wantacos - overly sweet, had to ask for hot sauce to balance it out. Picarones (dessert) - Kabocha squash-sweet potato Peruvian fritters, flavor was mild though, the favor was in the syrup (spiced, ginger powder) Overall not bad.

Great service, knowledgeable staff on the food, can tell some have passion for the culture. We came with 2 toddlers and 2 babies, and the staff were super accommodating for everything we needed. The decor is super cool, makes you feel happy to be there, especially with good food and good drinks and good people to enjoy all of that with

We have been to Jarana a few times. LOVE this place. Food is tasty and authentic. We always order a ceviche and an anticucho. Rotisserie chicken isn't as moist or flavorful as what we had in Peru. Salt is sometimes on the heavy side for the sautéed dishes. But each restaurant has its own signature. Just stick with what you like. The vibe is very vibrant and energetic. Service is friendly and attentive even during busy hours.

Very nice restaurant with great service. We were going to a concert at MetLife and I saw there was a new Peruvian restaurant nearby. We found it in the mall and we're surprised at how nice it looked for a mall restaurant. We were seated right away and our order taken. The papas ala huancuina were the best I ever had. Such a thick creamy sauce. I had the pollo limeto, which was a paella. Good, but the chicken was too salty. My husband ordered ceviche and it was very good, but didn't come until after I was done eating my meal. I would go again next time we are in the area and would recommend to all my Peruvian friends and family.

Love the food and staff here. Very clean and nice ambiance. I needed the iron fromjr red meat Totally hit the spot. Love the fried yucca as well.

A good place for Peruvian food in the middle of the Dream Mall in NJ. If you happen to be in the Dream Mall, I would give this place a chance to introduce you to Peruvian influenced food.

Aesthetically this place is so cute. Reservations are highly recommended as this restaurant was very busy. Keep in mind your whole party must be there to be seated. Pisco is Peru's alcohol and all the drinks we tasted were flavorful. They also don't water down the alcohol which was nice. Our waiter Eric was patient with us as we Ordered what felt like the whole menu. We We're full off the appetizer that we chose To share. As with many Asian influenced dishes I found the food to be a little on the saltier side. However, the servings are beyond abundant. Despite not taking more then two bites of our entrees we ordered desserts... and once again were not disappointed they must have an abuelita in the back making these treats. This is a must visit!
