"Jardin des Deux Rives With 350 miles of bikes paths, Strasbourg is one of the most cyclable cities in France. To experience it for yourself, head to the Jardin des Deux Rives (Two Shores Garden), a 370-acre, transboundary green space that opened in 2004 as a symbol of peace between France and Germany. Here, the Pont de l’Europe (Europe Bridge) crosses the Rhine to connect Strasbourg and Kehl, meaning you can bike through two countries in one day. Rent a bike from Vélhop, Strasbourg’s bike-sharing initiative, which offers short- or long-term use of regular, electric, and even tandem bikes. Once you’re signed up for the service, you can grab a bike at one of the automatic stations around the city, or stop by a Vélhop shop, where you can also get a helmet—and advice from real people."

Beautiful bridge to get you across the river, rather if you're walking or biking.

Nice park with plenty of space for families with kids to play and enjoy! There are also wooden picnic tables where you can have a nice picnic. Nearby there is a nice bridge that you can easily walk across and go to the Kehl town.

Second largest park in Strasbourg. There is a large reserve south of the park as well with trails throughout. The park has a small ice cream truck there most days during spring and summer. There is a dog park and lots of play areas for children. There are rock beaches where you can toss rocks in the water. Very busy on the weekends but mostly empty the rest of the week, especially mornings.

Beautiful and relaxing place. There is a bridge (pedestrian and bike) that connects Strasbourg, France to Kehl, Germany. Great place to meet friends for a picnic.

Good place for fun to roam around and A small UFA has also been created to see. Is there a small river which is 15 kilometers long. A small ship also runs on it that will show you to places around it for 2 days..... This ship is very beautiful and whenever you come to Germany you visit this place and enjoy... Cheers 🥂

Walked thru and over the small bridges to get to the main plazas. Loved the contrasting architecture that rebuilt the war worn destroyed buildings yet kept the character of the past. The craftsmanship of the cathedrals and churches are spectacular to admire. Was amazed at the longevity of the religious houses of worship and the beautiful stained glass windows and rose windows. Each religious statue was carved to meet the architectural and aesthetic demands. Each church has its own distinct uniqueness and beauty. Can't possibly replicate these historic art pieces. The mixed blend works and is very much appreciated. We also came upon a commemorative ceremony celebrating the anniversary of the freeing of France from Germany's control during the war. Military troops from various nations honored.their cooperative efforts and then attended a special Mass at the Cathedral of Alsace. See the beauty of this over 600 year old sycamore tree in the park !

The Mimram bridge, designed by architect Marc Mimram, connects the two shores of Kehl, Germany and Strasbourg, France. It was built in 2004 as a symbol of "bridging" a connection between the peoples of both states. There are two paths on the bridge, one for pedestrians and one for cyclists with a large platform in the center. There are gardens on both sides of the bridge with nice open spaces. We only spent a day here but I could easily see myself spending hours here daily picnicking or just relaxing. Even though we were here only a short time, I was so enamored with this bridge, I walked back and forth over it 5 or 6 times, each time stopping here and there to look over the sides, taking dozens of pictures of the bridge or selfies to convince friends that I was actually here, and to just sit and unwind on the center platform. I even had a chance to chat with some locals who thankfully knew how to speak English. The bridge is a symbol of friendship between the two shores so it was pretty cool that it was a way to for me to make new friends. :) I hope I get another chance to visit here someday.
