The Best Sushi Restaurants in Broward County and Fort Lauderdale | Eater Miami

"This casual spot puts Margate on the sushi map thanks largely to its Sex on the Moon roll. Layered in shrimp tempura, eel, crab, tuna, and a tangy bomb sauce, it’s one of the largest rolls on the menu. For the lux crowd, the lobster roll is anchored by a 6-ounce tempura-style lobster tail."

Wow this place is very very good everything was fresh and hot. There wasn't anything we ordered that disappointed us at all. It's very spacious and beautiful inside. They also had outside dining area available. The bar looked well stocked with all the liquor you can think of. Over all I highly recommend this place👍👍

Google
A non-descript building hides a conforting interior with excellent Thai food and sushi. Servers are kind and knowledgeable. Open kitchen, bar, and sushi making areas surround the diners. We will be keeping this place in our regular rotation of restaurants.

Google
Jasmine Thai & Sushi is a favorite for locals looking for great food and great service. Fresh, flavorful thai dishes like Osaka Tuna Stack, the Red Curry Chicken or the Shrimp Pad Thai. Ambiance is a little dated so attracts more the older crowd. Make sure you find out about service hours, because they don’t open for lunch Saturday or Sunday.

Google
Hidden gem! The food is superb, the presentation amazing and the service without a flaw. They didn't miss anything we ordered and brought each delicious plate directly to each one of us (9) without asking or hesitation. We would've like to sit outside since it was a beautiful day but this area is closed on Mondays. Definitely a " go back" place!

Google
This is one of top 2 Thai restaurants in Broward, delicious food, good quality, fresh products, good flavors, excellent services

My family and I have been loving dining at Jasmine since the 90s. The food, the atmosphere, the people are all amazing. I love this family run restaurant! So happy for all their years of success. So delicious!!! Elegant presentation. Everything is perfection.

This was a nice little spot to have a bite to eat! The staff were excellent and the food was great.

Google
Went to this restaurant based off of the reviews, sadly pur experience was not good at all. I ordered 3 different types of rolls and all three were really bad. They covered them with soy sauce when it was supposed to be eel sauce. It was so salty and didn't taste good at all. The service was surely short handed which is understandable but the lack of knowledge by the server made the experience really hard to enjoy. Also they charge the customers the credit card processing fee.

Yelp
Jasmine Thai and sushi is a hidden gem! More need to know about it because it's delicious. We eat here often both dine in and takeout. Tonight was a takeout night after a long day at work. Highly recommend the sushi rolls and pad Thai. I have not had a bad meal here. Small cozy casual atmosphere with good service and excellent food. They are small and family owned- small fee added for credit card payment.

Yelp
If you care about traditional food and good service, you will love this place! Jasmine is a longtime favorite for local residents that come for consistently good, fresh, flavorful thai dishes and well-prepared sushi. My favorites: Osaka Tuna Stach, Red Curry Chicken and the Shrimp Pad Thai. The ambiance is a little dated, basic decor and dim lighting, so the vibe attracts more the older crowd. And find out about hours of service, since they don't open for lunch Saturday or Sunday.

Yelp
Food, service, and ambiance are all good but as someone who is a loyal customer they charge for every little thing. I bought a gift card and they charge a fee to write it up! Really have been feeling the greed at this place.

Yelp
My brother and I decided to stop at this cute, cozy Thai spot for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly, the prices were reasonable, and portions were good for lunchtime, enough to take home afterwards. I would definitely visit again and try something else on the menu.

Yelp
I started the wonton soup, which tasted like celery soup. My husband started with the gyoza, which was good. Their sushi was solid - the salmon/scallion roll was good but their salmon nigiri was DELICIOUS. The salmon was so fresh and buttery. My husband absolutely loved their pad-see-ew, but I personally thought it was too sweet and prefer the flat rice noodles (they use small rice noodles that like the ones in pho). They gave us a gift from the kitchen - a little sashimi salad! It was delicious. Service was great. Three stars because I'd come here if I needed to, but I'd probably never suggest it. I bet my husband would suggest it though, and I do typically trust his food opinion - so do with that what you will lol

Yelp
Jasmine Thai and sushi was a nice little spot to enjoy quick Thai food. My group and I arrived about an hour before closing, and left a little bit after, but we never felt rushed, or that we were any kind of an imposition on the staff. To start, we ordered the crab Rangoon. This has been one of my favorite iterations of it, they use a little bit of curry on the filling, and it adds such a great flavor to the dish. For my main, I ordered the chili sauce, chicken, with extra sauce. It was as spicy as I asked for, and the sauce was plentiful, but it unfortunately, came out a little bit cold. Otherwise, this would have been a perfect dish.

Yelp
Food was delicious and service was quick. We got the combo B and curry, both delicious

Yelp
We called for takeout 45min before the restaurant closed and enjoyed a delicious dinner. My bf and I were having a salmon craving and we understand the chef chooses a combination of different fish for the sushi/sashimi combos. We took a leap and asked if they would make an accommodation this time to have it all salmon. They did! It was completely worth the extra fee that we paid to have all salmon to satisfy our cravings. Everything tasted delicious and the pieces were a good size. I thought the sunomomo was only going to be pickled cucumbers but it actually contained an assortment of seafood which was fun since they all have different textures. Overall, would order takeout from this place again! Worth a visit for sit-down meal in the near future

Yelp
I've been driving 13 miles each way for the past 14 years to get food from Jasmine. I've recommended this restaurant to write a few people, I even give them props while doing my syndicated radio show. Last night, after finishing an event I decided to pick up a dish of red curry with chicken on my way home. The word DISAPPOINTMENT doesn't even begin to describe how I felt when I got home and settled downto eat at almost midnight. I got a few pieces of chicken and a WHOLE container of bamboo shoots. It's that easy to loose a long time customer! Jasmine, I KNOW I wouldn't have received this of I had chosen to dine in! This seems to be a growing trend of shortchanging "to go" customers. Buyer beware! So long... you can keep your food! Shame on you!

Yelp
It was our first time here and the parking lot was a bit overwhelming. We definitely felt good knowing that there was a lot of folks coming here for the Sushi. Walking in we noticed all the tables were full and food was coming out quick. We ordered, Spring rolls, fresh rolls, salmon tempura roll, Yakuza roll, and shrimp pad Thai. Overall the ambiance was good but the food was great!! The only thing we were caught off guard by was the 4% credit card fee. We will definitely be back regardless.

James N.

Yelp
I have always liked this restaurant and the food. Something did happen that I was not in agreement with. While they do have a sign up front that says they charge 4% on purchases with a card. Most places do not charge on a debit card as they are not charged a service fee. Out table split the bill and paid half cash and half debit card. They not only charged me the 4% on a debit card but charged me the 4% of the total bill. Even the half that was paid with cash. While it was only a relatively small amount. It is the principal that you would still add the charge to a cash purchase. I did bring it up to the manager. I did not ask for anything to be refunded but said they need to rethink this procedure.

Yelp
Yum. The sushi is amazing and comes in large portions. But really this is a Thai restaurant. The pad Thai was amazing. You can add chicken, shrimp, calamari, and other proteins. My wife had the chicken curry which was warming and delicious. Nice atmosphere and great service. We'll be back.

Yelp
Jasmine's offers delicious sushi and a wide variety of hot Asian style foods with a small pyramid of either white or brown rice. Prices are reasonable. The place is acceptably quiet. The service unobtrusive and friendly. The food could be hotter, depending on the dish. The duck can be fine or occasionally greasy. Even on the weekend, Jasmine is not too crowded with seating readily available, though I might be wrong about this. It's worth a looksee.

Yelp
I am visiting relatives for the weekend in Florida and we went to Jasmine Thai and Sushi for dinner tonight. The ambiance is very casual and elegant for a Thai and Sushi restaurant, but I liked it and it definitely felt like a warm vibe was occuring in the restaurant. Our server greeted us right away and took our order. I was not able to get the server's name, but he was very professional and did an excellent job taking care of us with our orders. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was excellent! The texture of the noodles was just right and the chicken was cooked perfectly. There were a couple cabbage spring rolls that looked like bread when I first observed them on the plate ,but I tasted it and it was delicious!! The texture of the spring rolls was terrific. Jasmine Thai and Sushi appears to be a great thai place and the sushi looks amazing! My Aunt and cousin split the monster roll sushi platter. The presentation was incredible and looked amazing. It is too bad I do not live in Coconut Creek, because I would frequent this place on a regular basis. I can see why my Aunt and cousin love Jasmine Thai and Sushi so much. They love Asian food and Chinese food, and this is on top of favorite restaurants in the area. What a great place for dinner! I will definitely come back here the next time I am visiting my aunt and cousin. Simply marvelous!!

Yelp
Our server was very nice and knowledgeable, they move quick there ,, food was just enough rice could've been hotter However the presentation was awesome,,, now that I know how to order from here I will return for my good food and good service

Yelp
Met here with a friend because it is halfway between our homes. We didn't know what to expect but we're optimistic. The service was friendly and the building was lovely. Cute decor, mood lighting and good vibes. The food was delicious. We had the Tuna tataki, shrimp dumplings, a couple of rolls and pad see yew. All was delicious with generous portion sizes at reasonable prices ! Will definitely be back !
google avatar

Shellie M.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is very beautiful, and the staff are all very kind and accommodating. My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch, and both of us ordered the chicken pad Thai. The portion size was plentiful, and the flavor was delicious. We appreciated our server, JJ, who was quick to give advice and answer our questions regarding a few other dishes. The atmosphere was quiet, and the staff all seemed to get along very well and were very respectful of each other. If you are in the mood for some really delicious food in a lovely, quiet environment, Jasmine Thai is definitely the place for you!

Yelp
Delicious and energetic atmosphere! Try the shrimp and scallops, lobster tails and soft shell crab! For dessert, homemade donuts and fried ice cream are a must!

Yelp
This review is solely about the spring rolls I ordered for lunch today. Never again. They should be called Cabbage a la Styrofoam rolls. They were filled with cabbage ONLY. Nothing else, not even seasoning. The service is always great, though.

Yelp
Had a pretty good experience today at Jasmine Thai & Sushi. Asian Dumplings: 8.1/10 - These aren't the mass packaged ones, these are homemade style. I was impressed. Wonton Soup: 6.2/10 - This was just ok. I wouldn't get it again. Tuna Karai Roll: 7.8 - It's a great roll, the only issue is I ordered the Yakuza Roll. However I still liked the Tuna Karai Roll quite a bit. Good taste. Custom Salmon California Roll: I asked for kimchi sauce on the roll and no cucumber. It was very good. For this roll the rice was not pre-soaked in the water so it fell apart as I was eating it. Either way I love the vibe inside Jasmine, and can't wait to take my wife here and order more! Thank you Jasmine for a solid lunch!

Yelp
I've been to Jasmine twice and had pad Thai. I can definitely say it's consistent and it was so good that I keep thinking about my next time. Place is nice and clean service is super friendly and the price is right. I guess they've been here for quite some time and I was referred by a friend that is a restaurant owner. They must be doing something right after 35 years.
google avatar

Yelp
The spot gets busier than I thought. The food was so delicious! I enjoyed the sushi the most. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other Thai options. The place is very nice, too, very well, decorated, and clean.
google avatar

Anie R.

Yelp
Delicious!!! Very impressed not only with the Thai but Sushi, yes as well!!! Everything that I ordered was extremely good! Server was pleasant, gotta give it to him he was pretty busy & yet he made sure we were doing ok. Definitely will return & see if I'll be coming back frequently (it's not close) for good really good food I will travel to eat!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and fabulous service! My fiancé and I were seated right away for dinner and the host and waitress were both so kind. There was a fair amount of seating inside but it could definitely get packed quickly. There is a parking lot right behind the restaurant and it looks small but has a good amount of parking. The restaurant itself looks like it has been updated and it's very clean, modern, and welcoming. The menu has so many options to choose from that it took me a while to order. We started out with the Hamachi Torch roll as an app. The Hamachi was fresh and so yummy! I could've eaten a plate of just Hamachi sashimi. It had a nice kick to it. Very light. My fiancé had the pad keemao with beef and it was a great portion. Large rice noodles and the beef made him extremely happy with his meal. I thought it was good and very fresh, especially with the basil. I had the pad woonsen with chicken and it was spectacular. Exactly what I was looking for. I was in-between ordering this or the pad Thai and our waitress suggested she loves the pad woonsen. I said say less that's exactly what I will have. The clear noodles sold me the most, as I love the texture, and sauces/marinades pair really well with them usually. Both meals came with spring rolls and a delicious dipping sauce. I have no idea what the sauce was but couldn't get enough of it. Almost sweet. Would happily go back to try more items! The food was so fresh and extremely delectable!!

Sher C.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years! It's always excellent every single time. Their food is delicious! I love the Seafood soup, and the Chicken coconut soup and the Pad Thai and Salmon tempura roll is the BEST! Service is always great! The decor and ambiance is so pretty and calming.

Yelp
Tonight my kids asked me what my favorite food is - the food that I would pick if I could eat that and nothing else, forever. I thought for a moment and said "Well, I know it's from Jasmine and it has to involve their crab rangoon." Y'all, I lived in Florida 15 years ago and haven't been back to the Margate / Coconut Creek area for about as long and I still remember this place. The first time I had Thai food was Jasmine's crab rangoon at a party my late grandmother threw when I was a kid - I'm a grown adult with my own children now. I don't know if Jasmine catered it directly or if she just picked up a big tray of their rangoon on order, but I snuck out of my room past bedtime, grabbed a handful using my nightgown as a plate and ran back down the hallway. Life changing. At risk of getting in trouble, I still asked my grandmother the next morning what that was and where it came from because I wanted to have it again. Since then, every life event that called for a celebratory dinner - graduating middle school, graduating high school, getting my driver's license, my birthday, my best friend's birthday, my grandmother's birthday, my first date, always involved a trip to Jasmine. This became my bestie's favorite place too; she texts me here in Maryland whenever she goes there with her teenagers and they now love it too. The shape of the crab rangoon has changed a bit - I remember it looking like a little drawstring bag - but she tells me the taste is the same. After talking to my kids this evening and considering what special meal I would choose - my favorite - I realized this review is long overdue. Jasmine is a wonderful spot with very special food and I wanted to say thank you. I hope it becomes a favorite for many new generations; I look forward to bringing my kids there one day.

Yelp
Boooooooooo... horrible service and poooor customer service. It took 20 minutes for us to get our orders in. Wants even busy. I told the waitress it was my first time checking out the place and zero recommendation. Spring rolls had nothing but lettuce in it, hahahaha, and curry puffs had no filling and it's not a real curry puff. Some over fried nonsense. Fried ride was bland and even my 11 year old niece can out cook the people in the back. Never coming back. Go to a better Thai spot Larb Thai Isan is true authentic that. Don't know why I made the drive or wasted my money. Oh yeah, Larb is closed on Tuesdays.

Yelp
Second time- the menu is very hit or miss. The dumplings were pretty bad. The chicken skewers were good, although some were too dry to eat. The scallops appetizer was great! The rainbow roll was the most palatable, although none of the sushi tasted great. The sex on the moon roll was very good for a tempura roll. The hamachi roll wasn't great.
google avatar

Shikira H.

Yelp
Very friendly service and delicious sushi. Tucked away in parkland mall you'll find this casual spot with nice indoor and outdoor seating their soups, rolls and sashimi were exquisite. A trendy busy vibe of what seems to be regulars cause the owners are always greeting and chatting away with their customers. Volcano roll was delicious and fresh.

Cqwet D.

Yelp
I have been going to this restaurant since the early 1990s, with nothing but good to say. Until yesterday, February 1st 2025. We had a takeout order of red curry chicken and green curry scallops. The scallops had a foul smell and were obviously not fresh. The red curry had a bitter taste and did not even taste like curry. I took it back immediately but were only offered a gift card. I was not even able to speak to a manager.
google avatar

Denise S.

Yelp
Just picked up a $70 order in which they got 4 items wrong. My fault for not checking the order before leaving but the least I expect is that they deliver what was ordered right? Got home realized 2 things were wrong right away and called. They said that we had to drive all the way back there and bring the food back in order to exchange the items. Then they agreed to refund the $$ for the items that were wrong, cool. Then I noticed that I got 2 wrong salads as well, so I was like yea now I'm not gonna eat half this food, so I drove there. They argued that they no longer were going to refund for some of the items they agreed upon because I didn't bring back my whole order because I showed up there. What? So I've had to not eat my food, go back there twice and they take back what THEIR agreed solution to the problem was! Second star was only because the sashimi is good quality.
google avatar

Lin S.

Yelp
I don't know but Thai/Sushi places here in Florida keep letting us down. I think this will be the last Thai/Sushi spot we will try - either you're Thai food or Sushi - it's totally two different countries!! I'm from LA and not once did you see a Thai/Sushi establishment - not sure in a Florida thing. I wanted to give this place a try but once again was disappointed. Sashimi was watery, fried rice tasteless and sushi just didn't do it for us. The establishment was clean enough and a lot of people but I saw everyone ordering curries so I think that's what they're probably good at. Service was ok - took a while to get our drinks but the girl was by herself and lots of tables, still super friendly.
google avatar

Nadia M.

Yelp
Great find! Limited vegetarian options and the spring rolls are deep fried in the same oil as the meat items which is a big no no for me (big risk for allergies too). Food was excellent, portion size in quite large for the price and presentation was on point Waitress was not helpful, very abrupt and bordering on rude. Other than that, great place!

Dawn M.

Yelp
Friendly and attentive service and the best duck we've ever had! Shrimp friend rice is great too.
google avatar

Bernie D.

Yelp
Has been a main staple for Thai cuisine for years excellent sushi and my favorite is the eel (unagi),and they make an entree called unagi don and it's perfect for unagi lovers-the sushi appetizer (chefs choice of fish) is great as well everything, decor is nice and pleasant,

Cristiane Y.

Yelp
Be aware! This place does not care about your business. I have been a customer for a long time, not only the quality decreased but the customer service too. I placed an order, it was missing one dish and they overcharged me. I had to go there twice. I asked for the manager to talk about the overcharge and nobody came to talk to me. The cashier said the manager was a woman and she was cooking; if I wanted a refund I needed to bring all the food back. This is all for a 10.00 overcharge. They did not own the fact that they overcharged me, nor the fact they forgot an item and the inconvenience for me. Unbelievable!! Shame on them! They lost a customer!!!

Yelp
This place is very clean and food is spectacular. I had the roasted ducklings and it was phenomenal. The service was excellent.

Yelp
I liked the place. It felt comfortable and nice inside. The low lighting gave it a nice cozy feel. The restaurant has also a nice, green, low-light, outdoor sitting area. It was kinda romantic. What a hidden little gem I found. . . . The Godzilla Roll tasted great. The rice tasted fresh. The roll was a good size. I liked the crunchy chives on top. What I liked about the roll was that I was able to taste what was inside without reading what was in it. It was a good roll. I was impressed with the quality. I would come back here for the rolls. . . . The Panang was delicious. The aromatic flavors this dish had was excellent. I enjoyed it. The sweet taste of basil was on point. It came with a side of rice. The rice tasted good. This dish had a little heat to it. It complemented it perfectly. . . . . The service was excellent, fast and friendly. The prices, I thought fair. I had a good food experience.
google avatar

Sean S.

Yelp
Great food I love the combination. B has a little bit of everything. I like to order only thing that annoys me is they charge 3% for using a credit card they should really just bake that into the price of the food.

Vj K.

Yelp
Price, service food good...not excellent but the price overrides quality. A med. bowl of soup next door. Minimum 14.99. There's bowls of soup 5-7$. Soup rice and drink 11$ for lunch.
google avatar

Shanice G.

Yelp
TAKE OUT REVIEW: pleasantly happy for a satisfying lunch. $6 side of Pad Thai - I asked for extra spice it was delicious and exactly what I needed to compliment the Hamachi Torch Roll which was very fresh. They had good lunch specials but I really wanted something with sushi. Overall very delicious & I'd return.
google avatar

Zoe C.

Yelp
I would give this restaurant 3.5 stars. The food was just okay -- some dishes were better than others. We did wait an hour to receive our entrees when the place was half empty. The Dumplings and Wild Curry with Shrimp were good. The Chicken in Cream of Coconut Soup was okay. The Pad Woonsen was not my favorite due to the sauce -- the sauce was way too sweet.
google avatar

Carolyn J.

Yelp
My go-to for local Thai since they were off Coconut Creek Parkway! Their food is consistently good. They have Thai options, as well as sushi. The other night we ordered takeout and it was ready in 15 minutes! My favorites are: *Crab Rangoon (not like normal crab rangoon - just trust me on this one - SO GOOD) *Panang curry *Lobster Roll They're not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I haven't eaten inside in a long time, but the decor is very cool and there is/was an outdoor seating area. I've never had an issue with service or an order.
google avatar

Denise T.

Yelp
I work down the street from this place, and have been coming here for a few years for lunch. This is a pretty new building, so it's clean and they have a cute outside seating area. The service and the food is pretty consistent. I normally get the same thing when I go and it taste great each time. The Wonton soup is the best I have ever had. The staff is wearing masks, practice social distancing and they have hand sanitizer at the door.
google avatar

Adam R.

Yelp
Great place! This is definitely one of my top two places in the area for Pad Thai. I'd say only second to another location (on my profile). The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and I would have to say, there was a Malaysian spice mix into here. I'm not sure if this is due to a Southeastern palate that's developing in the area, or if the place is not really Thai, but.. I love it! It reminded me of going through the streets of Malaysia, and sampling the foods (the menu is very similar as well to the coastal area). Crab Rangoon was great, but, I wish there were more pieces per order (2 more please?) But, my wife said, that's a good idea there aren't any more! The portions were above average, thus allowing a bit more for the next day (if you want to go this route). Pricing, I would have to say is about average (not too high or too low). Let's all go back for more, right?
google avatar

Wendy B.

Yelp
I really like the vast number of menu options that are available. The sushi is always fresh and the customer service is excellent.

Yelp
The best Asian food in South Florida. Great service. Very clean. Kitchen has no cockroaches. The whole staff goes outside to pass gas loudly.

Yelp
I pass by Jasmine all the time but never have gotten a chance to try it. The parking is a small lot, if you don't pay attention you might miss the turn. We dine-in on a Thursday night, was not to busy we got seated right away. Very open space and they have a cute out door seating area. We ordered the Tom kha, the lemongrass coconut milk soup. My sister said it was really good. If you like something creamy, totally recommend this as an appetizer. We ordered pad Thais chicken, it was too sweet for me, but the portion was good and it came with a spring roll. We also got the sex on the moon, the room was made very nicely and it taste good. The only downside was that they drenched it in sauce so the flavor of the roll was taken away by the sauce. Other than that it was good. I recommend to ask for light sauce or sauce on the side. Service was good, overall it was not to expensive. I would definitely want to come back and try some other items on the menu.

Yelp
Food amazing. But sorry service is a 50/50 You may go today and get great customer service. You may go tomorrow and that may not be the same. But the food is consistent.
