The Tu Ka Chor (pig's trotter in vinegar) was well braised. But a tad too sweet. I recommend the Jiu Hu Char (fried turnip and squid) that came piping hot and flavourful. I highly recommend the Nasi Ulam. It is savoury and rich in flavour. The restaurant staff are friendly and kind. They waited patiently for my friend and I to finish our late lunch even though it was past their closing time (they needed to close for their afternoon rest). The seating area is spacious and clean. Do pop by when you visit George Town.

We've been returning to this place for the comforting homecooked nyonya dishes. They have very unique butterfly pea flower blue rice to go with the dishes. Spiced fried chicken (inchi kabin) was our favourite. Ayam ponteh was pretty good too. Pig stomach soup was peppery and warming to the tummy. They serve complimentary authentic mung beans dessert at the end of the meal. Peak hours for dinner is slighty after 6pm to 6.30 pm. Advisable to come at 6pm or after 7pm to avoid waiting for a table.

A simple Nyonya restaurant that deliver where it matters. What it lack in term of deco, they try to make up in term of the dressing of the employee. I like the assam fish and I felt that the dark soy sauce pork belly would have been better with white rice than the blue flower rice served. Anyway, a good restaurant for one to enjoy authentic nyonya cuisine.

A warm, no-frills spot serving up soulful Peranakan dishes. The Asam curry fish was the star — rich, tangy, and packed with flavour. We also loved the black sauce pork, tender and comforting. It felt like right at home, and the personal touches (like a surprise dessert!) make the experience even more special. Definitely worth a visit when in Penang.

Very tasty authentic Nyonya food. Nice place. Service is good. I like that the table is big enough for comfortable dining. The portion is bigger than regular Nyonya places which is super great! Definitely would return to try other dishes. If you're here, do try their Roti Babi. Instantly brought me back to my childhood days!

First time trying Nasi Ulam (RM12)! As we were reading reviews, we noticed everyone was recommending this. Instead of white rice, the restaurant offers this rice with fresh herbs, vegetables and salted fish. Wow, that was a stunner right from the start. And it only got better. The Assam Stingray (RM36) was also perfectly cooked. Not overdone and dry like some places. The flesh peeled off easily and paired wonderfully with that tangy and spicy gravy. A dish that the staff recommended was Ah Chor Ayam (RM26). She said it’s sour, spicy and has lots of garlic. That sold it for us. For greens, we ordered Sambal Hebi Kang Kong (RM21). It’s a bit different from the ones we have in Singapore. It’s not as spicy but more pungent (in a good way). Don’t forget to order some local drinks like Ambla with Plum (RM6) or Homemade Brown Sugar Lemongrass with Ginger (RM3). They even gave us complimentary green bean sago dessert!

I really liked the food and the atmosphere. We had: chicken curry, spicy sour fish soup and okra. It was all very good and tasty

As a peranakan born myself, I grew up eating Nyonya food and always found Malaysia to have spectacular Nyonya food. This was one of our bucket list in Georgetown because we’d been seeing many reviews that this should be Michelin rated. So we went here for a quick lunch on April 39, and it was actually quite a disappointment. We order two sets lunch, Asam pedas ikan (RM 22) and Tao yu bak (RM 20). Asam pedas flavor is okay, but the Tao yu bak was just so so with no depth of flavor and my butterfly pea rice was half soggy. The staffs were noisily packing away used plates onto a trolley destroying any ambiance the restaurant could have had without any care of people eating. It felt like customers were an inconvenience for them to do their job. I usually always try to not waste my food but I just couldn’t this time. We left to find something better elsewhere. Such a shame but I can’t recommend this place.
