My sister came along with me to San Diego for work from Irvine, and I give her the credit for finding this place. WOW! This place blew me away. Our order: 🍵 two 20 oz matcha lattes - 10/10 thank you so much for putting the right amount of ice - not too much!! Our matcha lattes did not feel diluted at all. The additional $0.50 we paid for the extra 4 oz was well worth it. 🥣 Mediterranean bowl - 10/10, what a delicious combination of ingredients! I want to make this at home as a pick me up. It reminded me of the best parts of pesto pasta but without any pasta! 🌯 Soy Chorizo burrito - 10/10 we were told that the so Cal burrito is also a popular menu item. The personal preference of our cashier was the soy chorizo burrito and it did not fail!! The two are essentially the same except the type of meat (for the most part, so we’re told hahaha) What drew us to this place has been the featuring of Parutea’s matcha. The matcha quality truly is amazing. It’s delicious. The plating was crisp and clean - everything about the restaurant was seamlessly put together. It was a haven for good food and a way to start the morning peacefully! There’s a good number of people trickling in as soon as the restaurant opened. The people here are kind, present, and respectful. I’m so grateful for you all. They offer milk alternatives including pistachio milk! The food is cooked to just the right temperature where the flavors stand out because of the temperature at which the food is presented. Next time - I can’t wait to try the pastries 😋 God bless you all!

Saw they use Paru matcha so decided to give this place a try. Barista was super nice so giving two stars instead of one. Unfortunately, this was such weak matcha it tasted like pure milk and I was so disappointed. Please save your money and go to Starbucks—I guarantee that one is stronger.

I love this place!! Amazing service, food, and atmosphere! I tried all my friends’ food and drinks, and everything was phenomenal—especially the banana matcha! Also, my friends accidentally threw away half of my sandwich, and the staff kindly made me an entirely new one on the house. So thoughtful of them!

Best Loz bagels in La Jolla!! Also the pesto on the side is amazing!! Worth it if you go to La Jolla!!

Sweet smiley barista Brooke was a joy. The delicious coffee and burrito were the cherry on top. Got the so cal burrito with sausage and avocado and a dirty chai. I will never order anything else, I’m sure it’s all good but I am addicted to this order.

Visited this cute spot yesterday and we will be back. The honey vanilla latte was so tasty!!!! I wish I had a picture of my acai bowl, but I devoured it as soon as it hit the table. You won't regret checking this cozy spot.

I’ve heard about this place and this was my first time going. I really wish I would age came earlier, it is so good! Both of us tried the SoCal burrito which was phenomenal. Really enjoy their salsa as well!

I shouldn't be telling you this, but I think the secret is already out. The banana bread is off the chain. It appears to sell fast, and for good reason. Moist and delicious. I would go out of my way here just for this. The acai bowl is also generously portioned and filling. The drip coffee is meh, but the specialty coffees are great. The service is fast and friendly. The place is tight and cozy. Only about 5 small tables with an indoor seating capacity of maybe 12-15 people. They have 1 table outdoors and a bench inside where you can wait until a table opens.

Food: 5 - Tuna Melt, they load it up with tuna and it's grilled perfectly with melted cheddar cheese. Drinks: 3.5 Matcha Latte - I come here maybe once a month when I work in the area and it's a hit and miss with the matcha. Service 4 Ambiance 4

I consider my self a matcha purist and don't usually like sweetened/flavored matcha drinks. But, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the pumpkin cream top goes with a matcha latte. The drink was executed perfectly and the matcha part itself wasn't pre sweetened so mixing in the pumpkin cream didn't make it cloyingly sweet. Shout out to the friendly staff who accommodated my custom requests! We had a perfect start to our day thanks to Java Earth!

Food/Coffee: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Ambiance: 8/10 Solid cafe. What I liked about this cafe was that it's in downtown la jolla but in a slightly off side of the super busy brunch spots that there was a good amount of parking and a relaxing vibe to the place. Coffee and matcha are solid. Will be coming back.

This is my second time coming here, and I definitely need to come more often because the coffee is phenomenal. I ordered the seasonal pumpkin cream top latte and it was delicious. The ratio of espresso to milk was to my liking, not too milky and the pumpkin flavor shone through. I also enjoyed the cream top, just wish there was more of it. The shop itself has a coastal aesthetic, and there was some seating both indoors and outdoors. I was also eyeing the other patron's matcha drinks, and will need to come back to try!

The new sandwich was SO good i picked sourdough between sourdough and bagel and it was really good! the flavor of the bread itself!!!! My boyfriend got a latte and i got the happy matcha he said it was a decent latte and i thought the happy matcha was just okay. I couldn't really taste the matcha flavor. plenty of parking when we went near opening

Really good coffee (pistachio latte) , matcha latte. Sandwiches are amazing especially the Avocado toast. Service was ok. But parking is limited. It's a really tiny spot so most likely you'll eat outside.

Strawberry matcha and #12 smoothie is our go to ! It is so delicious, service is prompt and prices are fair

Came back for their banana cream drinks since my sister is obsessed with the banana cream matcha. I ordered an iced latte with banana cream and in hindsight, I should've added vanilla syrup too since I like my drinks sweet lol. The banana cream was fluffy, sweet and had a good banana flavor. I wish there was more in my drink! Since my drink wasn't sweet enough, I added sweetener and it got better. Service is quick and nice!

Came back here after seeing they have a new Banana cream top matcha for the summer and it did not disappoint! I really enjoyed it, you could taste the matcha flavor (and they get their matcha from Paru!), and it wasn't overpowered by the banana cream top. Sweetness was a good level. I will definitely be back to get it again, hoping they make this a permanent item on the menu!

Came across this spot when I started a clinical internship nearby. This very quickly became my go to coffee spot even though there are at least 5 others to choose from not far off. The coffee is beautifully balanced and the food is amazing every time. The gluten free bagels here are by far the best I've ever had and I've had a few over the past 5 years. Since the internship ended I went back to my daily living closer to SDSU, I don't frequent the area as much but I make intentional trips to Java Earth just for the great coffee and even more amazing food. 10/10 would recommend this place, and do!

I ordered the Happy Matcha, which was a matcha with brown sugar and caramel and a bit pricey in my opinion at $7+. I have had matcha at different places and this one just did not taste as good. Very sweet and barely any matcha taste. Tasted more like culinary than ceremonial. The color was also a little off at a very light green. Possible if I get a chance to visit again maybe trying their matcha by itself with no flavor or a coffee. Otherwise, service was fast and was a cute place to work in.

I got a breakfast bagel. The bagel was burnt a bit. Service was fine, they were friendly when I ordered. It's nothing to rave about and i feel like the bagel isn't worth more than $10.

Seriously one of the cutest coffee shops! Located in central downtown La Jolla but around the corner from the main strip so it isn't too chaotic. There are a few parking spots in front which is nice or street parking seemed easy. There is a cute little patio out front with plenty of seating plus a few seats inside. It has a very modern coastal vibe. Overall just a really aesthetic spot. Their coffee and food is also surprisingly good - I tried their seasonal Dirty Pumpkin Chai with a breakfast burrito and was super happy with my choices. Their overnight oats and egg sandwiches also looked really tasty! I ordered online ahead of time and it was ready when I arrived. They have another location in PB as well which I'll have to try out. Will return!

This place was a real surprise. Okay, yes, the ratings are great, but, they're deserved! I stopped in because it was close and was going to get a drip coffee,, but saw not just a vanilla latte but a honey-vanilla latte and was immediately intrigued. I got the latte and a white chocolate mocha for my wife. MY GOD, they didn't tell me that a mother's love was also an ingredient! The honey-vanilla latte is hands down the most delicious latte I've ever had, and the white chocolate mocha was equally amazing. I don't know what voodoo is being used to make their drinks, but I want to add a sprinkle of it to every element of my life. I know, I know, this review is a little over the top, but for real, the drinks are amazing, and you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't try them for yourself.

Honestly the best coffee in the cove, and I've tried quite a few places around the area. My go to is the honey vanilla latte (hot), and I'm normally a mocha only fan. Everyone there is nice and they have a large patio with tables and chairs, very dog friendly too. I got the banana bread once and it was very good as well.

What a cool surprise to find this cute coffee shop (with no laptop campers!) in downtown La Jolla yesterday. After my clinical trial visit I always get money and while I love to help science, I love even more to spend the cash on coffee and pastries:). The place is so pristine, clear, white, small yet comfortable inside and outside there are tables and super pleasant with the sun shining. Loved my coffee, my chorizo and cheese croissant (first time having that type), the conversation with Mexican visitors next table and the vibe. Will be back to this little secret corner soon.

Arguably a cute spot and the service is slow (it's fine), but they definitely need to up their matcha game. Tried the matcha latte because it was recommended by Paru, a tea house down the street, and it was super disappointing. Just tasted like steamed milk and the maple syrup is really overpowering, no matcha flavor present at all.

First time here. Ordered an ICED LATTE W PISTACHIO MILK... solid, just solid. The coffee has so much depth, richness and flavor. As the depth and richness increases so does the smoothness. The pistachio milk gives it a nice kiss. You taste the pistachio milk but it's not overbearing to the coffee. Doesn't cross boundaries. Service was nice and the ambiance is super chill. The kinda place you would want to chill and have a coffee at. Everyone there just chillin. Like a picnic or something. Great coffee shop

The service is always super fast and they have really good matcha-- best I've had in La Jolla. I get the matcha latte with extra ice and vanilla, it already comes with oatmilk. What I like about their matcha is that it actually tastes like matcha. They also have really good banana cream foam that you can add to any drink. It's a little small inside with only two-seater tables but they have a lot of outdoor seating as well.

There are so many different options for your coffee fix , but I was feeling something a little different this morning than your typical cup of Joe. Java Earth did not disappoint! Their eclectic drink menu had me standing there for a bit hahaha I ended up with a Lavendar latte and it was so perfectly subtle and delicious :) The customer service was top notch and the cafe itself is just adorable! Signed up for the loyalty program cuz I knowww I'll be back!!

After going to the PB location for years, i decided to stop by the LJ location after an ortho appointment. Parking was tough in the middle of the day, but there were spots! I ordered the #12 smoothie which came out in about 1 minute. Service was great and the smoothie was delicious and hit the spot. It was tasty if you love almond butter!

This is a very nice coffee shop and cafe. I stopped for a cortado with whole milk and also had a cinnamon morning bun. The cortado was pretty good, especially up front, but towards the the end it had a little harshness that I did not care for. The morning bun or sugar bun as the young barista referred to it was good. A little heaving on the sugar and more on the cinnamon would of been nicer. The coffee shop has inside and outside seating. They also make breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, and toasts, in addition to the locally baked goods.

Java Earth Coffee is located in a little corner mall with plentiful parking on surrounding streets. I had a delicious chocolate cold brew and breakfast burrito. They have limited seating indoors but have a nice outdoor patio area. The service was prompt and friendly.

Flavor: Very sweet drinks, almost non enjoyable. Overall, good place vibes were there but ultimately the drinks were not up to par.

I was so happy to discover this quaint little coffee shop that is well known in La Jolla called Java Earth Coffee. The parking lot is super tiny, but don't let that keep you away because it's so worth it. I got the most delicious decaf oat milk iced caramel latte served by such gracious people, I felt like I was having a high-end experience. I also bought the strawberry hand pie and it was so good. I got everything to go and what a wonderful experience that the order was correct. I can't wait to go there again!

We tried the happy matcha and lavender matcha and they were so good! Will definitely come back to try more drinks. Also pictured is the Mediterranean bowl. For a place that markets as "happy" the staff wasn't very friendly, almost felt like we were bothering them when taking our order The beachy aesthetic is light and airy; it's a cute place to hang out or work remote.

Cute little coffee shop near La Jolla shores! I got the brown sugar cinnamon latte, and it was good, but not the best latte Ive tried. The cinnamon flavor was strong and I couldn't really taste the brown sugar. My bf got the lavender matcha latte, the lavender taste complemented the matcha well. The barista was nice and friendly. It wasn't too packed on a Sunday, and they have a lot of seats outdoors. It's very clean and well decorated indoors.

Found this coffee shop strolling along La Jolla, really love the options on their menu! I love that they offer chaggaccino! We added an extra double shot to our drinks, it added the perfect strength. Would definitely go back again.

We got a hot mocha and the number 12 smoothie. The coffee was just alright but the smoothie was an amazing start to our day. Service was quick, the cafe itself was clean and they had outside seating as well.

Popped in for a quick coffee and brekky when on our way to Coronado. The staff was sooo welcoming and very friendly!! There's only a handle of tables inside but plenty of seating outside as well if no space opens up.

This is our second DoorDash breakfast and they were both amazing! Lox and bagel is terrific with the pickled onions and really appreciate griddle toasting the breakfast burrito after it was assembled. Seasonal ginger latte was great and a bonus ginger cookie. And then there's the pistachio latte! I've never even seen one of these on a menu. Wow. Delivered hot in 20 minutes start to finish. Well done.

Sooo good!! Best avo toast. Hearty. Warm bread. Large avo chunks Great service. Lovely outside courtyard. This is a family owned business father and son are here or in the PB location often. You might find their fabulous Peruvian young man working at the front here in La Jolla. Everybody has a smile and is so kind. I love that they have vegan chorizo in the burritos. They can even make a vegan burrito by setting out the egg for spinach.

Stopped by for a matcha and a bite to eat and both were amazing! I ordered the wellness bowl and a regular matcha; the bowl was super flavorful while still being healthy! The tahini was to die for, and I was pleased with the portion size. And my matcha was great as well. Definitely recommend! The Bird Rock location is amazing too.

Quick service. Tried the lavender matcha and it was just the right amount of sweetness for me. Usually I don't like too much sweetness in matcha so I can still taste the natural flavors of matcha. They use Paru Matcha FYI!! So authentic and ethically sourced matcha :)

Great little shop with indoor and outdoor seating, it's never been over packed during the weekdays and I love the assortment of fresh bites. The veggie bagel was so delicious and fresh! The prices are fair too, I would definitely be back here :) The chai is on the sweeter side and the iced coffee has a very smooth but strong essence.

My go-to breakfast spot. I usually order on DoorDash. I wish they enabled their notes so I could modify my order to support my food allergies. Besides having to call in every time- this place is the best. Açai, burritos and bagels are the favorites in our household. The staff is all very friendly as well!

I've been here a few times. The espresso drinks taste better than the chai tea (I'm a latte and chai person). The toasts are tasty and so are the pastries. The staff is nice and quick. The patio area can also get crowded since there are other eatery's in the plaza. It's a good coffee shop though!

Coffee is amazing, food is also delicious with big proportion sizes! This place is super cute and aesthetic inside and also lots of seating on the outdoor patio. Staff is also friendly as well. Great la jolla coffee shop! Also lots of free parking throughout the street.
