This was my trip to Java Monkey here in downtown Decatur Square. Today was a "girls day out" with my sister and 2 nieces ages 9 and 4. They are lovers of coffee if you can believe that. The youngest was in a bad mood and feeling blue. Graham, our charming and perceptive barista have Kennedy a small cup of whipped cream to eat. Instantly she was happy and cheerful and said to my sister that videos and whipped cream make everything better! We all laughed but we were so grateful to Graham for being so nice. Catherine was our other barista and she was so nice and welcoming. They had the idea to make the girls Cappuccinos decaf and gave the little one a mini Cap. How cute! Such a lovely and quaint little cafe with plenty of places to sit. There is wine and outdoor seating as well as free wifi. If you don't care for coffee they also offer a nice selection of Arden's Garden juice as well as pastries and cakes. This is a nice place to unwind or catch up with friends. Thanks again to Graham and Catherine for their hospitality. :)

Has free wifi and plenty of places to plug in your devices along the high table with high chairs. Good treats and eats, and you can find parking along the street or in the parking decks. To get free parking you will have to park a little further along the side streets.

Great food although it's a tiny bit pricy. Everything is fresh though so it evens out. Plus the tea is really great and they serve it aethestically pleases containers too! Great vibe, eclectic music, and good coder. What more do you need? Great study spot for people that need a controlled environment with low key noise to concentrate.

This place is just so cool and eclectic. It feels like home. They just have a great option of drinks to choose from from alcohol, to teas, to coffee. Haven't had a bad coffee here, and the wine was good. I love that they have vegan and gluten free dessert options. I wish I lived close enough to go here every day.

We used to love this place, but this last time, we've decided we're not coming back. The food is great, the espresso is eh, but the music is generally terrible. Tonight especially, was terrible. Whenever the two guys work together, one always wearing a cap and the other with glasses, the music is terrible and loud, and just too jarring. I understand that a lot of shops will play what they want and that's fine, but when you're trying to run a good coffee place, where a lot of people will go to study and have a good cool down from their day, I highly doubt playing Skinny Puppy and other less enjoyable bands will keep the people rolling in. I honestly don't think we'll be coming back anymore because it was just too much, these guys always kill the vibe. Sorry.

I went with a friend and was greeted pleasantly. The drinks arrived quickly and were very affordable. I did see an area for wine and the outside patio has a decent stage for performances. Great space and definitely will recommend more friends and will most assuredly be coming back.

This is a unique place to enjoy coffee and even listen to poetry!

Fantastic place for a coffee or pint while working. Solid draft selection, and many seem to enjoy their wine. The atmosphere is very chill, the workers are friendly and warm, and while the shop has an energetic feel, it also reasonably quiet and people who are chatting are usually conscious that others are working and not being disruptive.
