This was my trip to Java Monkey here in downtown Decatur Square. Today was a "girls day out" with my sister and 2 nieces ages 9 and 4. They are lovers of coffee if you can believe that. The youngest was in a bad mood and feeling blue. Graham, our charming and perceptive barista have Kennedy a small cup of whipped cream to eat. Instantly she was happy and cheerful and said to my sister that videos and whipped cream make everything better! We all laughed but we were so grateful to Graham for being so nice. Catherine was our other barista and she was so nice and welcoming. They had the idea to make the girls Cappuccinos decaf and gave the little one a mini Cap. How cute! Such a lovely and quaint little cafe with plenty of places to sit. There is wine and outdoor seating as well as free wifi. If you don't care for coffee they also offer a nice selection of Arden's Garden juice as well as pastries and cakes. This is a nice place to unwind or catch up with friends. Thanks again to Graham and Catherine for their hospitality. :)

Has free wifi and plenty of places to plug in your devices along the high table with high chairs. Good treats and eats, and you can find parking along the street or in the parking decks. To get free parking you will have to park a little further along the side streets.

Great food although it's a tiny bit pricy. Everything is fresh though so it evens out. Plus the tea is really great and they serve it aethestically pleases containers too! Great vibe, eclectic music, and good coder. What more do you need? Great study spot for people that need a controlled environment with low key noise to concentrate.

This place is just so cool and eclectic. It feels like home. They just have a great option of drinks to choose from from alcohol, to teas, to coffee. Haven't had a bad coffee here, and the wine was good. I love that they have vegan and gluten free dessert options. I wish I lived close enough to go here every day.

I went with a friend and was greeted pleasantly. The drinks arrived quickly and were very affordable. I did see an area for wine and the outside patio has a decent stage for performances. Great space and definitely will recommend more friends and will most assuredly be coming back.

Fantastic place for a coffee or pint while working. Solid draft selection, and many seem to enjoy their wine. The atmosphere is very chill, the workers are friendly and warm, and while the shop has an energetic feel, it also reasonably quiet and people who are chatting are usually conscious that others are working and not being disruptive.

This is a unique place to enjoy coffee and even listen to poetry!

This seems to be a café for locals. That being said, it was a nice place for an outsider to visit. The staff members were friendly and conversational. Just don't come in expecting to strike up a conversation with a stranger. Of course, this was a weekday. It is a multi-level space with optional outdoor seating. This appeared to extend from a room with a bar The atmosphere was quiet in the early afternoon, with the area closer to the door being utilized for conversation and the upper level room with the bar being used for studying, working, and painting. I have no idea whether this is the norm or not. . Based on my one order, they won't skimp when it comes to your drink. It was filled to the brim :). They offer tea, coffee, hot chocolate, baked goods and a short, presumably-operated-at-night, bar. I recommend the visit. There are a number of chic restaurants in the area too.
