"Javelina Cantina serves Sonoran-style Mexican and features a tequila bar and margaritas to go with that view of London Bridge and Bridgewater Channel. Diners should try a tie-dye margarita and dig into mahi mahi fish tacos, a salmon tostado, open-faced shrimp taco, or lobster enchiladas." - Susan Stapleton

We came in during our family vacation. A group of 14 adults and six children. Kiersten was our server. She was very gracious to each person at our table. She is a pro with large groups. Kiersten also kept the secret of not tell who paid for my sister’s meal (Thanks Kiersten😊). Our food was served all at once. No one received their food later than others. We had a great view of London Bridge. From the patio you can walk down the stairs and walk under the bridge. I was served a well crafted margarita cocktail. My shrimp tacos were larger than expected and stuffed full of large shrimp. The shrimp tacos were served with rice and beans. I opted for all rice. Most of us took leftovers back to our hotel.

Visited Happy Hour on Monday, 4/21. Good friendly, helpful service by Janine!! Ordered, initially, a house margarita on the rocks. Then, after I received it, I noticed they had Prickly Pear margaritas 🍹 I asked for a "shot" of the "nectar" to pour into my existing margarita. Janine obliged me without hesitation. I ordered an appetizer of bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. It was well prepared, presented, and was very tasty! As always, on a first-time visit to a Mexican restaurant, I ordered a cheese enchilada and pork tamal, al a carte. If these simple items are well prepared, I can make the assumption that the rest of their menu is equally well done. They were good and good-sized portions of both!! Had another "Tuna margarita" with my entree. ("Tuna" is Spanish for prickly pear) It's fun to loudly order a Tuna Margarita and watch the reactions all around. Sat on the spacious deck with a great view of the neighboring London Bridge!! Ordered a side of bacon 🥓 for my pup!! There were several other parties with dogs as well! Obviously, dog friendly!! The venue was moderately busy, but we weren't rushed, and we were able to relax and enjoy the time, the food, the margaritas, and the view. Stop in. You won't regret it!!

Google
The food was extremely terrible. Will not be returning. The husband ordered the enchilada and tamale meal. It had no flavor and was mushy, I ordered the chicken sandwich with a side salad, nothing special here at all, no flavor, dry chicken. It was very slow on a Sunday Easter evening and very disappointed. $65 meal, only good things were the chips and salsa and the tie die margaritas. Server was good. Food terrible!!!

Google
Great service. Great location. However the chili relleno has just been prepared with way too much cheese. It was not recipe specific and a waste of Product. Note my photo cheese pile To the right Will be here a week so we will try again with another choice

Google
I’ve been here a few times, always have good experiences, this may be known to everyone else, but this new discovery prompted my review, I was blown away finding out you can ask for spicy salsa rather than the original you first are offered, don’t miss the chance of trying the spicy salsa, it blew me away with the flavor, I had to ask for more and graciously was given some to take home. Amazing, food was good, but spicy salsa was the star of the show.

$2 tacos on Wednesday we're okay. $5 Corona. I added the happy hour menu because you can find it anywhere else. I'm sure there's better happy hour prices out there.

Oh I love the food here. The waiters are so nice, and I do wish I have an exact replica super burrito to take with me for home because the Guacamole and everything in it, perfect!

Google
Great location and good food. The restaurant is really elegant and comfortable. Service was good (shame for the young, pretty lady with glasses at Reception who was not very welcoming - maybe another bad day..) Our server Kiersten was very helpful instead. Iced water and warm nachos as soon as we sat down. It's really a good place with great views of the river- must try it!

Yelp
Hubby & I got into town last night. I didn't want to go here because I don't like the one in Sedona. However, circumstances left us leaving our Tesla to charge and this was right next to the charger. We were able to get a table in the bar right away. Service was slow. Hubby ordered the house margarita. They don't have sangria so I had a margarita rita. Both were heavy pours & really good. The chips were super grease, but good. I got the taco salad with ground beef. It was huge. It was good, but the carrots in it were huge. Hubby got the chicken fajitas. He loved them.

Yelp
The bar has a few tables and I was seated quickly. No view from the bar side but great service. The chips were brought out quickly. I had a few but could not eat anymore out of respect for my cardiologist. The chips were dripping with oil. I've had fresh chips but they should not be that greasy. First impression and I have a pool of oil under my chips. I ordered the lobster enchiladas. I am passing thru town and tried something different. They come with red or green sauce or one of each. I did enjoy my meal. The lobster was plentiful. It was overcooked and too chewy. Yet I guage that I just ordered lobster in the middle of the Arizona desert on a Monday. That's what you should expect. I ended up pulling the lobster from my enchiladas and cutting it in small chewable bites. So it was basically two cheese enchiladas with a side of lobster. Nice place and great views.

Yelp
Came here 12pm on a Sunday party of 4. Of coarse this restaurant will be busy, the food makes up for it!!! But... Huge but! Jade the hostess was definitely not up to being busy. Her comments were unwanted while waiting 20 minutes to be seated. Not that the 20 minutes was an issue, cause like I said... The food makes up for the wait. But when I asked Jade how much longer after the 20, the response was long and drawn out without minutes. I just need minutes. She seemed very annoyed that they were this busy, if busy is an issue she is definitely at the wrongs spot to be a hostess. The table had chicken fajitas, beef fajitas green chili carnitas everything was on point and delicious. Would have been 5 stars if hostess Jade was a little more hospitable.

Yelp
Arrived via tour boat on a Saturday around 11:30 for lunch & was seated immediately. The chips & salsa was really good...I could have eaten 2 baskets of chips. We ordered fish tacos & shredded beef chimichanga both with rice/ beans. The rice & beans were ok but the main entrees were great! Portions are HUGE & definitely shareable. They also have outside seating with misters with view of the London Bridge. Recommend eating, getting stuffed then walking along the river & enjoying the view.

Courtney M.

Yelp
Been here so many times! Love the fajitas! The service is always great everyone is very helpful since usually we always come in with large parties, if you sit on the patio, you get a beautiful view of the water. And they're open late so it's really appreciated with getting on and off the water and still having time to go to dinner. Order the tie-dye margaritas.

Jonnie D.

Yelp
Was recommended to come here for the Moljacete. First off the view are amazing . We came right around sunset which was nice. The chips are thing and super yummy. Make sure to ask for the green Chile it's way better than the salsa they serve with the chips. The Moljacete was on point. Super yummy and perfect for sharing with my husband.

Luis G.

Yelp
Salty food, margaritas taste bad, rude server, leaking water mister, and overpriced. I would rather have gone the the place next door again (Barley Bros).

Michelle A.

Yelp
We had a great time with friends out to eat on the patio. It was great since we had a lot of kids with us. Great service overall

Heino P.

Yelp
I would have given 5 starts if it was closer to the river Nice Covered Patio Overlooking London Bridge We were looking for a place with outdoor seating and a view of the river to have a light snack and a cold beer for me. I saw the patio for this place from across the river and it was calling us. They have a large patio/deck overlooking the London Bridge and the river. It's not real close to the river, but close enough to see boat traffic. Complimentary chips and salsa were brought to our rail side table immediately. My wife had her usual iced tea (no charge) and I had 23 ounce Firestone Walker 805 ($8.50). The chips and salsa made for a tasty snack and the beer wet the whistle perfectly. We did look at the menu which is quite extensive and they have some very good prices on daily specials and Happy Hour deals Monday through Friday 3-6.

Ryan D.

Yelp
The taco salad was actually delicious! The service was attentive, quick and overall no complaints at all! You for sure have a return customer next time we're in Havasu

Evan G.

Yelp
Visiting Lake Havasu and my wife wanted a sit down place that has chips and salsa. I checked with a friend that lives in Havasu and this was one of the recommendations. Wondered when we got there if we made a mistake. The hostess was not very friendly and about 5 of them stood around ignoring us for several minutes. When we got seated, we were greeted by our server Jennifer who was really friendly and did a fantastic job. We ordered a combo plate and and enchilada with rice and beans. After seeing the pictures on the website, I had to order a tie die margarita. Not only did it look awesome, it was a very good drink! The food arrived and the first thing we though was the portions were huge and the food looked delicious! It didn't let us down. I have to say the cheese enchiladas and Chile Rellano were probably the best I've ever had. We will definitely be back!

Momma D D.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The service was ok. Our waitress didn't listen to requests and we got everything as it was on the menu. That is frustrating to our family. The view was ok, seating was nice but all of that isn't what the rating is for. Really the food was the star as it should be.

Amanda G.

Yelp
First of all, the view is great on the balcony. Very nice clean atmosphere. The food and drinks are large portions so thats perfect - probably could have split my meal between 2 people. You get the chips and salsa right away My servers name was Janine (if that's how you spell it) and she was very tentative and sweet. Thank you for the relaxing afternoon - I will b

Yelp
Came for my 70th birthday. Restaurant was crowded, but we were seated relatively quickly, maybe a 10 minute wait. Table felt sticky so we asked for it to be cleaned. Someone came with a rag and wiped it down, but it still felt unclean. Drinks were not good. We (a party of 4) each ordered Cadillac margaritas, two were good, two were not drinkable. Asked the server to send them back and remake, second time they still were not even close to to the other two. Disappointing for a celebration. Asked the waitress if the bartender had switched out, she said no, same barman made all the drinks. Very sad that a standard cocktail cannot be consistently made. Food was average, not anything outstanding but ok. Chips were good, and if it weren't for them, I probably would have given an even lower rating.

Steven S.

Yelp
Food was good. Location was good. Service by the female weekday bartender could use some improvement. Maybe we'll try this place again in the future.

Susan D.

Yelp
So disappointed! We figured in Arizona there'd at least be decent Mexican. Hostess and server were great but... as in other reviews, the chips are subpar, really greasy, and the oil didn't taste fresh. The salsa tastes like someone dumped a bunch of Tabasco in tomato sauce. The prices are much higher than expected and even though a special is listed on the chalkboard as you walk in looks like a good deal, apparently it only applies during the week. The outside deck is nice but the view of the water is extremely limited. The carne asada meat was very dry and bland. Big burrito but again not much flavor. Decent portion sizes though and the burrito at least had a lot of meat, not just rice & beans. The flour tortillas were pretty good though, just the right thickness (on the thin side) and held together nicely. The taco came in two which was perfect.

Brandon S.

Yelp
Waitress was great. I despise businesses that add a credit card fee after the bill has been presented. Almost every other business in the world adds credit card processing fees into their cost of doing business and pass it along to the consumer. Why do a handful of restaurants insist on adding it right before they run your card? I won't support businesses that do this.

Brenda W.

Yelp
Food, service and drinks are excellent. I had the Cornita Margarita and it was the BEST margarita I have ever had. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Havasu!

Carrie A.

Yelp
The Monday fajita special is the only reason we come here. The portions are full sized you can even share. But for $12.99 pp why would you? Take the leftovers home! The cons to this place: the menus are always sticky (gross) and the bar is filthy with flies all in it.

Melissa B.

Yelp
Alexandra is hand down one of the worst serving experiences. We arrived at 8:43 pm, our dinner order was put in at the same time as our drinks, because of our late arrival and last service and closing was at 9pm. Food arrived, I had a tortilla that dropped. I asked for another... was told kitchen staff is gone. So apparently they leave the kitchen filthy! I asked the hostess if the staff left, she confirmed they had not, I then asked for a manager. Alexandra came very combative to let me know they left "no manager". I would say avoid this restaurant not because of Alexandra but because when they close at 9 all staff is gone by 9:03 this is food poisoning waiting to happen. There is no way you could shut down and clean a restaurant in 3 minutes!

John L.

Yelp
Great food with great views. Always great service and reasonable prices. Definitely best Mexican place in Havasu.

Tracey S.

Yelp
We had the ultimate and Cadillac margaritas and both were good a bit sweet but good still the same. Had the tiger shrimp tacos. Came with 2 tacos, lots of beans and rice. Was tasty enough however there's no way those shrimp were tiger shrimp LOL but u did get a good mount (5-6). Good location by the bridge but there are better locations down by the channel.

Anthony W.

Yelp
Idk what all these negative reviews were talking about Service was amazing The deck was as clean as it should be for an outdoor dining experience And the food was incredible and really well priced They serve a lobster tail with pico de gallo, cabbage and a massive side of butter for only 11.99 I drove an hour to get here cuz my friend recommended it and I will definitely be coming back soon My compliments to the whole staff

Julie E.

Yelp
Chips were a greasy mess! Lobster tacos were tough and chewy and completely drenched in sauce!! shrimp was translucent in sight and rubbery in taste! Bad seafood all together! Cheese enchilada was a huge chunk of cheese, barely melted with a super thin tortilla and sparsely covered with sauce!! The Cadillac margarita was overly sweet and lacking of tequila...If you really know about Mexican food. This is not the place!!!

Chace H.

Yelp
I'm going to start with the, Service, the service was sub par and our waitress did her job but by no means did she go above it. She was well educated and answered our questions quickly and professionally. She moved like she was in a rush even though it wasn't busy which is understandable but it would have been nicer to be a bit more welcoming. Next I want to talk about the, Ambiance, the ambiance was sub par too with simple decorations and clean building with a great view of the bridge. Sadly it is behind a hotel meaning the view is just a little away from being perfect but still good. Lastly I will speak about the, Food, the food was.... Very.... Unfulfilling as far as satisfaction goes for a Mexican restaraunt. It is not what I expected to receive after reading the menu but maybe I'm just un cultured in Mexican cuisine so this does not really effect my rating. I would say everything was just sub par. Fin.

Sue E.

Yelp
Went for happy hour and was told only in bar area. Place is really dirty and needs remodeling. Margaritas we're watered down. Cross it off your list!

Alexandrina B.

Yelp
Unfortunately taste or seasoning is not good, had the steak, shrimp and chicken fajitas, do not recommend. Service and view of the lake was great.

Kate P.

Yelp
Definitely will star this for a return. Food was excellent and filling. The fried ice cream was delicious, love the the crunch bowl. Regular margarita was good. Our server was on point, friendly ,funny & provided our group of 10 with quick service. Sat out on the patio which had heaters on since the temps were chilly.

Jordan G.

Yelp
The worse Mexican restaurant ever . The place was filthy and the food was disgusting. After returning one of the orders the next order came burned and we didn't eat half of it . We should have gone to chili's !!!

Chris P.

Yelp
I just had to leave another review on Javelie's restaurant. We usually go there 5 to 6 times a winter. And bring a lot of guests there. We also frequent the flying X tavern for games & food. We tried Tavern 95, it was good. We haven't been to Shagrues in years. We like Ch-Bones, & Angelina's for a nice dinner. Anyway we were a bit disappointed in the ground beef tacos, so we tried the shredded beef, it was lacking a little beef. And the chips were so greasy we couldn't eat them. The only highlight to our evening was our server Jamie! We loved her. If we have too many more disappointments there we will start trying other places.

Miigwan R.

Yelp
Food was phenomenal! My husband and I had a blast and a super special thank you to Jamie who was very attentive, amazing customer service skills, friendly, all around great experience! We will definitely be coming again! Thanks for the wonderful experience!

Laura A.

Yelp
I will start by admitting again that I am not a big Mexican food eater. When we went to Lake Havasu to see the London Bridge, we ended up eating here. Dec 2021 and no one wears mask anymore here. We did. For starters we were served freshly made chips and salsa which were so scrumptious. The chips were thin and very crispy and the salsa was fresh but a bit watery. Service was quick and they were very attentive. I had the Lobster taco and my friends shared a combination fajita. Everything was very tasty that we devoured them quickly. Dessert was fried ice cream on a fried taco bowl and we also ordered churros that we all 3 shared. The churros was still warm and both had a scoop of ice cream and lots of whipped cream and chocolate sauce. The price was good too. Try them when you are in this area.

Marc C.

Yelp
DUMP! Our first time in Lake Havasu and was looking for a good spot for my wife and I to have lunch. Poor attitude by hostess. Bartender was pleasant and fast. Chicken sandwich was good, but canned salsa. They depend on tourists to not know any better. Take a look at the attached picture.

Steven C.

Yelp
Best Molcajete!! And Bacon Poppers! Other side of London Bridge in Lake Havasu hahahahaha I needed 85 characters lol!!

Michelle C.

Yelp
Wow so great last week. Quality and quantity of food. Great service too. I had a combo and my husband loved the chicken corn tamale. We were able to bring our friends dog and they nicely brought cold water for it. High 5s

T H.

Yelp
This place had Great food. Quick service and the patio has a great view of the river. Fajitas are very good.

Lois B.

Yelp
Visiting the London Bridge was on my list of things to do for many years. Finally got there today, and it didn't disappoint. Stopped at Javelina's for lunch on Cinco De Mayo. Was a little disappointed that they only had two drinks as a special, no food. We dove into the chips and salsa which were hot, light, crisp and salty. Perfect! Ordered a combo of taco and chili relleno, which came with beans and rice. A humungous plate arrived, and everything was delicious. My husband had a steak sandwich with double fried potatoes. Huge portions and excellent flavor. Such a great experience.

Gary O.

Yelp
Great service and great food. The Jalapeño poppers were amazing, and very spicy. The Chicken Fajitas were very good. The alcoholic beverages were a bit on the strong side if you like strong alcoholic beverages. I did enjoy the Tye Dye blended Margarita. The patio seating is very nice and overlooks the London Bridge. I will definitely return to this restaurant next time I come back out to Lake Havasu. This place is Gary Orange Tree Approved!

Brady M.

Yelp
Yes! The salsa was very good here. The michiladas were bomb, and the food was good quality and good portions. Great location right off of London bridge, with a great view of the river and the bridge. If it wasn't so far from me I would come here regularly. Can't wait to come back. 10/10 would recommend and will be back!

J C.

Yelp
Terrible parking. Bird dung all over the patio tables and chairs, flying over and dropping on food while you eat. Inside seating is cramped and stuffy. Steam from the fajitas being served on the night they are on special is suffocating. Tried this place three times and will never return after the last time, when the service staff was rude and highly unprofessional.

Bob J.

Yelp
Ordered the chicken fajita and the vegetables were not fully cooked but the chicken was ok. And the rice was just warm when served, Not the best I've had in Lake Havasu

Linda W.

Yelp
Friday afternoon - barely crowded ? The patio was a mess, the place seemed dirty, our server was rude, the food iffy. Will never go there again we'll stick with El Parasio where everything is awesome. The bathroom mirrors looked like someone brushed their teeth on them. The hostess just looked tacky in her too tight dress, showing her underwear, flab - and those eyelashes !!

Bev B.

Yelp
For thinking this would be a slightly higher-end restaurant, being near the bridge & decent views, we were very disappointed with everything about it, from the cheap college-bar looking decor to the mediocre food and lackluster enthusiasm from the staff, we would not recommend it. When ordering cheese enchiladas, my husband asked if it had onions, and the waitress replied that it would be an up-charge, but when we had (horribly dried out Al Pastor) tacos, they were loaded with chopped onions with no mention of that when I asked for no onions at all. so if you'd like $20 margaritas and good beans, this is your place to go.

Anna M.

Yelp
Saw this on a review and thought we'd try it! It was really really good! The salsa was fantastic!!!!! I had the chicken fajita and I scarfed it down bc it tasted so delish! Our waiter was a nice guy and was right there when we needed him!! This is our first time to Lake Havasu City and it is gorgeous here so we will be back and when we go we will definitely come back to the Javelina Cantina!

Robert P.

Yelp
Such a great spot for a restaurant. Seating on the patio had the best view of the London Bridge. The Hostess greeted us and our pup warmly and seated us on the pet friendly patio. The staff quickly brought us water, including a bowl for the dog, and chips with salsa. The food was good and quick and ample portions. Another gem in Lake Havasu!

Clarissa M.

Yelp
this dining establishment gave my friends and i the shits wish i could provide a picture of the food but i've been preoccupied in the bathroom thanks javelina cantina for the clogged toilet

Ray G.

Yelp
This place was right on the river. My review is also a pandemic based review. So the establishment was working with a skeleton crew. That being said they were attentive and service was as fast as they could. I ordered there Michelada which was spicy, savory and salty everything you want in a refreshing drink. You got to drink it fast because it was hot that day and we had outside sitting. I ordered the nachos and it was a decent size definitely enough for me to share with others at the table. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well with a lot of toppings like pickled jalapeños, guacamole, sour cream, olives and fresh Pico de Gallo.

Laura B.

Yelp
Love this place for drinks and food!!! Try to go every time we are in Havasu, look forward to it

Hayley H.

Yelp
I'll jave to pass on Javelinas. My family recently moved to Havasu, so we celebrated with outdoor dining at Javelinas. Since COVID is still tip top of mind, we opted to sit on the patio despite the cool temperatures. Luckily there are a variety of heaters scattered throughout the large deck, and a gorgeous view of the Christmas lights from across the London Bridge. The biggest turn off about Javelinas was their lack of a mask policy. Many of the waiters half assed it by not covering their nose or by wearing a bedazzled sheer mask. My dad and I were also taken back by their $21 Cadillac Margaritas. I'd expect this pricing in LA/OC, but at a small Mexican joint by the lake? Insanity.

Nicole R.

Yelp
If you are reading these reviews you may be looking into this place to dine- I'm posting this to alert you. We were a family of 5 dining here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, service was quick, food was great, Chips, as many have said in other reviews, super greasy, but good. I honestly recommend the veggie fajitas it comes with potatoes so it's more than the typical peppers and onions. About half way into our meal we asked for more chips. 2 minutes after they were delivered a cockroach was running around our table and the adult's plates. When finally caught and brought to the waitress' attention she immediately reacted apologizing and told us she would be comping our meal. We watched as she went on to explain to her manager what happened. He manager approached our table with a cocky "so, what's going on, how can I help you" acting like she didn't just tell him everything- we repeat what happened, he offered to make us new plates, but respectfully, we didn't want anything else from the kitchen at that point. He brought our bill and only a tiny partial "manager's special" discount was taken off. We are service industry, we understand that things happen and bugs find their way in, but we also know how we would handle this and our waitress was on the same page, at least comp the 2 meals that the roach played hopscotch on, especially since we can almost guarantee that roach came from the kitchen, possibly even the lot of chips. Unfortunately, the manager was more focused on convincing us that he has pest control come out monthly. Since the littles were with us soaking up the energy we quickly paid and left to avoid any of our true feelings coming out and ruining the meals of those around us. It's no other diner or staff's fault that there is poor management and I'm sure lack of cleanliness in the kitchen. Beware of the "manager's special"
