Indigenous Pop-Up Javelina Is Gearing Up For a Winter Residency and a Full-Blown Restaurant | Eater Portland

"Since November 2023 the pop-up has served Native American and Southwest comfort food in a two-fold style of service. Along with her husband, Nick Numkena-Anderson, Alexa has sold comfort food like bison chili and fry bread tacos at events like the Indigenous Marketplace and popped up at restaurants including Morchella and Street Disco, where diners tuck into dishes like boar bacon and Ozette potato soup and blue corn tamales topped with roast duck. The couple plan to keep running the pop-up with a focus on fry bread in tandem with their restaurant plans. "With people reclaiming their first foods, it’s our way of taking back our history and our culture," Numkena-Anderson says. "For me, it feels like that act of rebellion, of ‘No, you didn’t get rid of us. We’re still here. We’re still fighting.'" - Janey Wong

A variety of tasty dishes. The shrimp fajitas did not disappoint a great amount of protein. The tacos and guacamole side hit the spot. I did take a to go box the serving amounts do provide the ability to have left overs. Beautiful views and decorations!

Good food and decent sized portions. Only downfall is that the place has quite an echo so it's hard to carry conversations there because it gets loud when they are busy. Pricing is decent, for 3 people, 1 appetizer, and 1 pop. Total was about $101 without tip.

Heads up They refill your chips only twice. This can be a surprise for the Texans out there. The salsa was fresh but not spicy. The queso tasted great. I enjoyed the chili relleno salmon but it was not what I expected a chili was not included nor was it stuffed with cheese. There is nice patio seating.

Complimentary chips and Salsa Margarita samples - jalapeño one was interesting. Prickly pear was my favorite. Chicken Mole - tender chicken and good Mole sauce. Chili Relleno with red and green sauce. Very good but on the pricey side. Red sauce is boring. Green sauce was really good. You can also add beef Machaca for $5 which makes it less pricy because of the meat. Heehee. Beef Fajitas- beef was well seasoned but dried and tough. And there were more bell peppers and onions than beef. Not my favorite. Flan - disappointed. Churros - very hard like it was from a frozen package or something. Probably one of the worse in all the Mexican restaurants that I have visited. Not recommended. Chicken Mole Enchilada- tender chicken and good Mole sauce. Chili Relleno - really good. I also added Beef Machaca for extra $5. highly recommended. Beef Fajitas- beef was well seasoned but dried and tough. And there were more bell peppers and onions than beef. Not my favorite. Flan - plain. Not recommended Churros - very hard. Probably one of the worse in all the Mexican restaurants that I have visited. Not recommended.

Was very good. Came alone off a recommendation from a friend. Sat at the bar. Drink was good, chips were good, salsa was good. Food was excellent. Met some other people from Florida at the bar so it made it more enjoyably. My only gripe was an entree, margarita, and a 20% tip was $56 for one person. Kind of pricey for Mexican food. But it was good and I didn’t order the cheapest thing and I understand the location makes costs a lot higher. So be it. It was fun and good. Parking was a bit of a challenge admittedly but found a spot. That’s no fault of the restaurant just a busy shopping center and not a massive parking lot due to geographical location.

We have been camping in Sedona for several days. We saw this place on our way in and commented that it looked like a great place to stop... Later at our campsite a neighbor suggested it as a place to eat. So glad we went. My Fiance is a classically trained chef, and I LOVE food. Especially Mexican. We were both more than satisfied with our meal and our service as well as the atmosphere. John (a.k.a. Mango) was a phenomenal server. He was fantastic at breaking down the menu for food and drinks. He also nonchalantly managed to summon a javelina for us. We thought he was kidding when he said "they live right out back and they come out around 7". The chef came out to introduce himself. The staff was super friendly, the food was amazing and the margaritas were definitely some of the best I have ever had. 5 stars, 10 out of 10... Would recommend. Anyone who doesn't think this is fantastic Mexican cuisine does not know real Mexican food. The chef is definitely a master of his craft. We had an appetizer to share, two meals and two hefty margaritas each and the bill was around $130. I thought it was well worth the cost. Chips and salsa included. Don't fill up on those!

Wow, this was a real treat. We heard about Javelina Cantina from a sales person. It was not disappointing. We met couple who moved to Sedona 32 years and they said this was the best place to eat southwestern food in Sedona. They were right. We started with the street corn which was very good. I had a chicken fajita salad and it was excellent. I forget what my wife had but remember she really like it. Tyler, our waiter, was outstanding. He was very patient and recommended the flight of margaritas which didn't fail us. They were great tastes. Finally we did not know Javelinas were really. A family of them live outside the patio of the restaurant. Unfortunately we didn't get to see them. But the views were spectacular.

We had an amazing dinner with outstanding service! While visiting Sedona, we decided to stop in—and we’re so glad we did. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. Our server, Mango, was absolutely exceptional—attentive, thorough, and welcoming. He even makes one of the best margaritas we’ve had! The food was packed with flavor, and our entrées came out quickly and perfectly prepared. Plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor seating options, too. Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Sedona!

Yelp
I'm going to break this review down into three parts. Part one: The Servers. We had the pleasure of having "Mango" as our server and let me just say, wow. This is not your typical server at a restaurant. He is the friendliest server you will ever meet and actually cares about your food preferences and what you like. He recommended my girlfriend and I each dishes and when they came out I was so impressed at how good they were with him only asking a few questions about what we like to eat. He was such a great server we came back a second night and will be returning every trip to Sedona. Part two: The Food. Let me start by saying this ain't your typical Mexican cuisine. The chef makes special dishes that will explode your tastebuds. I had the chefs enchiladas and chimichangas and they were phenomenal. I also had a mango daiquiri and will be thinking about that every single day until I'm back. Part three: The Vibe. In this restaurant you have incredible views of Sedona and are met with a cozy comfort while inside or outside on the patio. I would give this a 10/10 for views and comfortable seating. All in all, this was a phenomenal place and Mango is the best server I've had at any restaurant before. Talk about someone who cares about people, that's your guy! 10/10 experience.

Yelp
Wow --super impressed with this place. Food was 10/10, we had 4 people planned to split 2 meals... after a few bites of the barria grilled cheese we ordered another one for the table. The carne asada enchiladas also amazing. Then got lava cake + birthday ice cream. The service was phenomenal & javalenias outside to feed too. Great vibes -- will be back

Yelp
Javelina Cantina was a GREAT option for a large family dinner in Sedona! I called about 2 weeks ahead of time and they were more than happy to accommodate our party of 14. When we arrived we were quickly greeted by the hosted and taken to our table which was in a glass walled room next to the patio area. The manager quickly asked about the temperature and offered to turn down the A/C and increase the speed of the ceiling fan above our table. This alone was a great touch because it was 90 degrees outside and we had just come from an outdoor memorial. Our waiter came to the table and talked through the menu along with his recommendations for drinks and food. Some of us ordered margaritas, one ordered win, some beer, and of course sodas for the teens. Everyone was very happy with their drinks and said they were tasty. I ordered a spicy margarita, and when it came I asked the waiter if he could make it a bit spicier. He said, "Absolutely!" and came back in 5mins with a cup of muddled jalepeno in honey and simple syrup, and boy did that add the perfect amount of spice that I was looking for! When I ordered the second round he made the margarita himself and once again it was perfection. For the food orders we were all over the place, and no one was disappointed! Within our party we had the Del Mar salad (delicious and full of shrimp), birria grilled cheese (huge portion!), fajitas, chimichanga, fish tacos, quesadilla, street corn, wings (seriously spicy, like could barely handle one wing lol), and queso dip (one of the best I've had). Unfortunately I did not get pictures of everything as we were all chit chatting and enjoying ourselves. But believe me - this place is a MUST TRY! It was easy to find just outside of Tilaquepaque, and the price point was the most reasonable out in Sedona. Overall we will definitely be back, and Javelina Cantina left a great impression on all of our out of town guests!

Yelp
I really want to give to give this place a 3.5. The margaritas are pre-made and they just add whatever flavor you choose. I added the prickly pear and it was syrupy and thick. My husband had the basic HH margarita, and then got a Cadillac margarita, and that was much better. We had the HH nachos, which were loaded with meat, cheese, beans, tomatoes, avacado, and cream. We got the chicken at the bar tender's suggestion and it was a good choice. Bartender was initially cold, but warmed up and interacted more as we asked questions. It looks like a lot of locals go there. Not super authentic Mexican food like we're used to in SoCal, but a good meal if you go in with an open mind.

Yelp
Great service and delicious food. Had the shrimp enchiladas special for lunch and enjoyed the best homemade blue corn tortillas ever!! That with the picadillo...amazing. Husband had red/green cheese chili rellenos and those were pretty good too. Glad we stopped!!

Yelp
Three years ago, on a dark summer night, my husband and I stopped by a random Mexican place on our way to the Grand Canyon. That Mexican dinner stayed with us for years, and we swore to bring our kids back someday, when we all visited Arizona together. Reader, today was the day, and Javelina Cantina DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Starting off, you'd expect the complimentary chips and salsa. What you don't expect is how fresh and bright this salsa is. No joke I've been comparing all other salsas to this one for the past three years. Kids ordered quesadillas and enchiladas with chicken off the kids menu, which come with complimentary soft drink. My husband ordered the chille rell burrito, which he liked, and I ordered the chicken fajitas, which were delivered from the kitchen in a sizzling cast iron plate. We asked to be seated by the window; the rainy clouds obscured the view, but it couldn't be helped. Our server was friendly, helpful, and willing to accommodate my children's request for pink lemonade (by mixing fruit punch and lemonade). Overall, this was a great experience and we were so happy to share Javelina Cantina with our kiddos!

Yelp
The food was decent, but I was expecting better based on the reviews and pictures. My chicken fajitas were a bit too dry and bland--they could definitely use a stronger marinade for more flavor. The wait time was very long, which was disappointing, but the beautiful view from the outdoor terrace made up for it. Our server was friendly, but I think she forgot about our table since larger parties seated much later got their food before us.

Yelp
You should go!!! Mango was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. We got the margarita flight and OH BOY was it great!!! The fish tacos were made with mahi mahi which was cooked to perfection. The rice and beans were well seasoned and the mango pico was so good! The view from the patio was amazing and the overall ambiance of the restaurant I loved! Highly recommend!

Lisa A.

Yelp
Love love the atmosphere in this restaurant. We only got the Flight Marg. Best Marg's we've had in awhile. Guava & Kiwi being the best. Chips & Salsa also delicious!
google avatar

Caroline K.

Yelp
We were seated outside on the balcony and the view was incredible. We were served very quickly, and we had our food within 15 minutes of sitting down. They give you free chips and salsa, which were very good. We both ordered their chicken tamales, but I got the red sauce and my dad got the green sauce. Both were incredible! They came with rice and refried beans. We were very happy with the food, ambiance, and service. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Wonderful staff, great food & treated my pet like a superstar! We've been visiting the Javelina Cantina for over 20 years. It is a staple whenever we go to Sedona we love their T-shirts, food, margaritas and their staff make all the difference! The shaded patio for our pup was ideal. Highly recommend this place with wonderful vibes.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Javelina's for dinner on a Saturday night. One of my favorite things about the restaurant was their patio with a view. They have a large menu with lots of options including vegan and vegetarian options. We started with the queso dip. I wasn't too impressed with this queso. It wasn't bad but it lacked flavor. I got the shrimp fajitas as my main dish and they were delicious. It was a very large portion which was nice since I had leftovers. Our food came out quickly even though the restaurant was busy and our server was very nice as well. Javelinas is worth a stop!

Yelp
Javelina is always a must when we're in town. The food is consistently great, the atmosphere is warm, the staff and service is welcoming, and in a place like Sedona--where so much is constantly changing--Javelina stays reliably amazing in all the best ways. We love how they keep things fresh by rolling with the times, offering trending dishes and creative new recipes that keep our taste buds happy. This place has truly become a second home for us. Can't recommend it enough! This trip I got the Quesabirria tacos, the elote appetizer and a watermelon margarita the size of my head.

Joey P.

Yelp
Great location close to uptown and center of Sedona. This place has great views and a very nice staff. Vegan and vegetarian options are available. We have ate here 4-5x and every visit has been a good experience. Best place for lunch or at sunset.
google avatar

Heidi W.

Yelp
Overall: 3/5 Food: 2/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 4/5 The location was in a beautiful area surrounded by Sedona's natural beauty. The food left much to be desired. All of the food we had was barely warm and not that great. It was a Tex-Mex vibe. The restaurant itself and the staff were nice but it was not worth the price in my opinion.

Yelp
A Plan B re-direct from our original dinner plans that went astray- while the meal was hearty- it had a definite backup plan, would not have been my first choice, vibe- Arriving, we were seated at a side high top & brought very fresh chips & salsa ( probably the best part of the meal) The ambiance was ok because while they have a large sectioned out space, they really pack people in creating high congestion areas & lots of noise- for example, while all the bar seats were taken, they allowed a lot of people to just stand around the bar behind the seats, creating crowded space & people bumping into our section as well- I ordered the catfish relleno, the waitress asked me red or green chili- I said xmas style- my husband ordered the triple combo platter- I didn't sample any of my husband's meal, so I can't speak to the flavor, but my meal was very under seasoned- the rice & beans were generic plain- I would have added salt & pepper, but our table had none- and our waitress never came to check in on us- The fish cut was very small, barely stuffed with cheese or peppers- I smothered in the xmas sauces for a bit of a profile- When we got our bill, I was surprised to discover I was charged $2 for each sauce (red & green)- I asked why, and she said chili salsa wasn't a part of the meal it was an add on-I explained, I never really asked to add it on at cost, I ordered- she asked red or green, that implied it was part of the meal & I had a choice, not do you want to add on chili red or green- she ended up taking it off our bill, but gave me an awkward speech about how 'this one time I will allow it coming off because you did order it'- so it felt very frustrating experience. Wouldn't recommend at the prices- busyness- and lacking flavor food-

Yelp
If you're fortunate enough to get one of the rare tables with a view, that helps the visit. They do have outdoor seating but it was raining the day we ate there. The service was good but the food was ok, not horrible but not excellent either. As for the margaritas, they were much too limey for me.
google avatar

Sasha t.

Yelp
Heyyyyy you guyyyyyys! We stopped in for lunch, we sat outside our server was very attentive. I had a spicy margarita with tajin, the salsa is really good, bold but not spicy. Had a salad with blackened shrimp, shrimp tacos and elote. Others dining with me didn't care for the refried beans and the fish tacos were overcooked. Overall it was a decent experience food wise, nothing over the top. Good service, nice decor.
google avatar

Stan K.

Yelp
I have eaten fajitas all around the US and down into Mexico. These are the best fajitas. I've had anywhere the sauce and marinated. This was incredible. The vegetables were frozen and crunchy the way I like them we got chicken and shrimp and we also ordered the mango ceviche. Eileen was marvelous.

Yelp
This was our first dinner stop in Sedona. We did not have reservations and were able to sit inside right away. The menu is extensive and they have a lot of tasty sounding options. I went with the goat cheese and chicken enchiladas and I was not disappointed. It was very creamy, flavorful and I really enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the food came out lukewarm. The service was friendly and very attentive. We definitely enjoyed our meal here.

Jamie C.

Yelp
Normally I don't have issue with my food however I got the chili rellenos and they tasted either over cooked or a day old. The breading was overly crunchy. So sadly disappointed this time. And for $20 something wish it was better.

Yelp
Very busy but cozy restaurant. It is located in a shopping center with lots of parking. there is indoor and outdoor seating. we arrived at 6 pm on a saturday with no reservation. we were told it was a 30 minute wait but we could sit at the bar which is full service with no wait. we sat at the bar which has a happy hour. we were served our drinks and food very fast. we ordered a margherita and a rum and coke. we were given chips and salsa to start which they refilled multiple times. we both ordered the carne asada tacos which were delicious. very affordable prices for the amount of food you are given. will definitely be returning again
google avatar

Carlos M.

Yelp
I used to come here often whenever I came down to Sedona from Flagstaff and they had the best Carnitas dish served with Creme Fraiche that has since left the menu. I went with my wife last weekend after several years of not stopping by and was disappointed there were no Carnitas anymore. I think I had the Asada Enchiladas, but don't really remember, nothing to write home about and the dishes are pretty pricey for what they are. I know Sedona is expensive, but El Rincon at the Tlaquepaque is way better and with better prices and better ambiance. And Tortas the Fuego is truly a legit mexican food experience and cheaper as well. The service was pretty good.
google avatar

Yelp
Love their margs. Amazingggg house made chips and salsa. Birra tacos were good but more like birria quesadillas than the crispy outer cheese edge I prefer on a good queso Birria. Very fresh produce, Mango makes a mean marg!

Yelp
Visited for dinner last night with a reservation at 7 and were seated outside just in time for sunset.. beautiful view and great service throughout. That said, the food took quite a while. Our server apologized multiple times, and we noticed several tables seated after us got their meals before we did. Thankfully, we weren't in a rush. When the food finally arrived, it was solid.. good flavor, generous portions.. but a few billing quirks left a bad taste. Prices listed are cash-only, which isn't made obvious, and there's an automatic gratuity added (even for a party of four) which feels a bit much for a casual spot. One of the margaritas also had an unexplained upcharge. Overall, we might have landed at 4 stars, but the pricing surprises bring it down a notch. Just be sure to check your bill carefully.

Yelp
I'm still dreaming about the asada enchiladas at Javelina. These may have been the best enchiladas I've ever had. I couldn't decide between the carne or pollo so our waiter suggested I try one of each. Even after eating them, I still couldn't choose a favorite. I just knew that the steak and chunks of chicken were so much better than the typical shredded meat often found in enchiladas. It's rare that I finish a meal at a restaurant but I couldn't get enough of these! The rice, which I got a double helping of as I can't stand beans, was also amazing. My boyfriend ordered the veggie burrito with enchilada sauce and we both indulged in oversized margaritas and complimentary chips and salsa. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Sedona.

Jack W.

Yelp
So another follow up. Recent visits have been enjoyed and food is good as expected. I signed up for emails from Javalina expecting some deals or offers... nope. I got an email today advertising Happy Hour. No other details besides the time and days. Since I could not reply, I am adding my 2 cents and questions here in hopes a Javalina rep reads it.

Yelp
I will preface this review by saying that if I was writing this on the sole basis of Ambiance and Service this would be a 5 out of 5 but sadly my review is going to be more comprehensive hence the 3 out of 5 rating. Service: We were waited on my Edgar who was courteous and very helpful in our ordering. My family is traveling with my parents and they like to learn about the history of the places they eat at especially one like Javelina that has been around for 25 years or so. He was very helpful. Ambiance: The space is very nice (and if you like outdoor and don't want AC there is a nice balcony) and a middle ground where we were which was the patio that was covered and air conditioned. The partial sunset and rock views are nice here. Food: Despite the great service and ambiance, the food was underwhelming. Apps: --------- * Guacamole: This was the only part of the meal that had good taste. * Salsa: We got the red salsa which was bland (though chunky) and had to request a spicy version which was decent. * Tortilla chips: Were FRESH and decent Mains: ---------- * Chicken Enchilada: My wife got this and I had a bite. The sauce was this bland white sauce which was just OK. * Blackened Catfish Releno: My parents split this and they seemed to like it (I did not have a taste of this) * Quesabira Street Tacos: I got this and I have to say the meat had a funky (fattty) taste and it was not great. The beans were over done and the rice lacked taste. I couldn't finish my meal; for reference this is my favorite usually and I finish it at most places. * Carne Asada Street Tacos (x2): Both my kids got this and it was OK. The reason why the food, in my opinion, was UNDERWHELMING was the price. If they are going to charge the prices they charged us (see bill), the food was underwhelming and I would not go here again.

Yelp
The reason for the 4 star....Chips and salsa were great! The enchiladas and chili relleno were also great! We had great service also. The not so great was the smell of sewer by the restrooms, the tables seemed dirty and even behind the tables on the shelves there were chips laying on them. We would come back but a deep cleaning really needs to happen.

Yelp
Ugh! This review breaks my heart. I've been coming to Javelinas over the years since probably 2012. I visited today and I finally had the realization that I don't like the changes they've made and don't think I'll be back. My table shared the asada nachos, jalapeño poppers, and the blackened catfish relleno. It was 81$ (with tip). The food was mediocre and didn't taste special. With the nachos, they were burnt and there was no where near enough toppings. For 25$ nachos, I expect way more. The catfish relleno had no salt, spice, or flavor. I ended up using cholula and table salt to try and fix it, but it left me feeling unsatisfied. I wish them the best, but this place isn't for me anymore. It definitely feels like they're catering to a specific tourist and tax bracket.

Yelp
We came here for dinner while on vacation in Sedona. We read that this place was highly recommended, but all four of us were very disappointed in everything that we ordered. Steak Street tacos were too chewy and the shrimp tacos were very bland. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas and the waitress spilled about a quarter of it on the floor, table and one of us as she couldn't manage pouring from the pitcher to the glasses. She did not offer to replace any of the spilled margarita considering the picture was $65 She wasn't sure if there was a crack in the pitcher or if the abundance of ice in the pitcher was causing havoc with the pour. Overall bad experience except when we did have the margaritas they were very tasty.

Yelp
Went on a long hike in the morning and the fajita chimichanga I had here satiated the big appetite I built up! I also enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa and my prickly pear marg while waiting for the food (which came very quickly!) While we might have preferred eating outside, it was a bit windy so we appreciated the in between option- an enclosed patio that felt a little more casual and fun than the main dining room.

Yelp
Really liked Javelina! It can be challenging to get to if there's a bunch of traffic but there's ample parking at the location. We sat outside and enjoyed patio beers/drinks and lunch. I went with the tacos Al pastor and they were yummy! Not the traditional way with pineapple but still good. Our server was also very attentive. For 4 lunches and drinks the total plus tip was $180. A bit steep for Mexican food!

Yelp
Javelinas catered our backyard wedding (I've never been inside the actual restaurant). The food was DELICIOUS! The catering was on time, well packed, and our guests loved it. We had a taco bar with shredded chicken, beef and shrimp along with guacamole. The flour tortillas were to die for. The catering manager was super nice and easy to work with. Thanks Javelinas!!

Yelp
We sat in a wobbly table by the kitchen... The chips were really good and so was the salsa. I ordered the enchiladas with double rice no beans. Although, he brought the plate out (the plate was hot) but the food wasnt. It wasnt really seasoned. It was missing something it seemed a bit blan. The others at the table ordered the Birra Grilled cheese with fries. It didn't have that much cheese but it has a LOT of meat. But my kiddo said it was good. It was pretty busy when we got there. But the servers were prompt. Be aware if you use your card there is a charge. Also they do add gratuity.

Yelp
My buddy in Sedona introduced me to Javelina and it was a great experience from start to finish. I brought my pup to sit outside on their quiet patio under some umbrellas on a sunny day. Service was top notch -- friendly, attentive, and accurate. We always had water refills and water in the bowl for my dog as well. As for the food, I got a two item combo and picked from about six items, eventually going with a chicken enchilada and flauta, which comes with rice, and I substituted black beans in place of refried (which is a bonus that not many Mexican restaurants offer). Nothing negative to report about any of the food, everything had superb flavor and fresh ingredients. The only downside might be the prices -- Sedona is ritzy and expensive, after all. Oh and that they have Pepsi over Coke, haha. However, the setting, service, taste, quality, and dog-friendliness was worth it in my book.

Yelp
Are experience at the Javelina Cantina was so so. The food was good and we really enjoyed their fire roasted corn. However, we felt forgotten on the patio and our server only spoke to us twice the entire evening. We did not get a refills on drinks or chips. No one asked if we needed anything. After we finished eating we sat for 35 minutes before another server asked what we needed and then our server showed up with our bill. The service was poor at best and the food was great. I would go back and hope this was a one time situation or just a bad server.

Yelp
My friend and I were seated quickly in a quiet corner. The restaurant was large and spread out and decorated nicely. Some tables had great views. I received chips and salsa promptly. I was pleased with the number of vegan options. I ordered guacamole...it was pretty good. For my meal I opted for the fire roasted vegetable enchiladas. They were pretty good. My friend got the chicken fajita plate. It came out sizzling and was enough for 2 meals.

Yelp
We are visiting from California and was looking for good Mexican food. We found it here at Javelina Cantina. We don't get the 4 star reviews. Food was excellent and server was attentive. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for good Mexican food.

Yelp
We were able to make a same day reservation for 6 on open table which was super helpful since Sedona was a pretty happening place! Even for a Monday evening this restaurant was full! Food was great! We started with some jalapeño poppers and everyone enjoyed them! I shared the mixed fajitas with my husband which was plenty of food for the 2 of us! The prickly pear soda was yummy! I liked how they had some fun non alcoholic options since I wasn't in the mood for alcohol. Cute javelina artwork and decor inside! The only thing that would have made our visit better is if they were able to seat us outside or next to one of the windows! The view from the restaurant is just beautiful!

Excellent tacos and amazing amazing drink the server was so sweet. We loved him and he actually lived in New Jersey for a short stint if you're in the area stop by food with a view.

Yelp
Wow!!! Cannot say enough good things about the service... They understood my food allergies and worked with me. We ordered a flight of margaritas and a Bloody Mary delicious! The Del Mar salad they subbed goat cheese for me it was a hearty salad. Chips and salsas with Guac were so good. Give this place a try it won't disappoint!!!

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Very busy spot in the heart of Sedona! Parking is tough but don't let that deter you!! There were 8 of us and service was great! The food is amazing! Everyone love what they ordered! I had the best Chicken Mole' Enchiladas I've ever had!! Both my husband and I ordered them and devoured every bite!! (Side note-let your customers know they put sesame seeds on top! Very strange? Can't have them) Our House margaritas were amazing as well! Service was great! The only bummer was one dish was forgotten my sister was waiting patiently and I think we were halfway through the meal when it finally came out. The server was so apologetic and didn't even charge her for it! Thank you for that! Definitely look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Very busy large establishment that was able to accommodate our large group of 11. Menu had the usual as well as some interesting takes on Mexican food. I think we were too engrossed in our conversations to comment on the food, but that's a good thing. Service was good except for a moderate sized water spill that was never taken care of, and one order that was not taken with the others. My blackened catfish part of the dish was tasty, but I'm not sure the relleno part worked well. Overall, it was a good experience, though, especially the tasty margaritas. Be prepared for the Sedona prices, but that's just the norm.
