Neat little pull off on the loop road. Nice spot to climb and see a panoramic view of the park. I recommend arriving early to beat the heat and the crowds. We were lucky have been by in mid may when the saguaro were flowering. * lots of walkers and bicyclists on road so make sure to drive slow and keep an eye out.

At the back of Saguaro National Park East, cool rocks and trails to climb and see views and the sunset in dramatic fashion. I've taken many visitors here and my 75 year old mother could easily get around, so most anyone can. Worth it. It does fill up near sunset because it's spectacular. Limited parking, so get there early if that's the time of day you'd like to see it. Many people will park anywhere along the road when spots full up too though.

I loved it. Its was a very quiet, relaxing place. Very refreshing place to get your mental stage back in and get all the positive energy in.

Absolutely stunning views. Almost a 360 view. (It would have been if I had climbed one more rock up). Alas, I left the hikers back in my room, and was in flip-flops. I dont recommend those...

This is one of those spots along the drive through Saguaro National Park East that makes you pull over and get out of the car. The rock formations rise up out of the desert like giant stone waves, weathered and layered in ways that make you stop and wonder just how much time has shaped them. The views stretch wide, with saguaros standing tall all around, and the desert light shifting colors across the stone as the sun moves. It’s not just a pretty place to look at, it’s a spot to climb a little, sit a while, and really feel the Sonoran Desert around you. The rocks are big enough to make you feel small in a good way, yet still easy enough to explore for families or anyone who just wants to stretch their legs. Keep an eye out, because the area really does live up to its name, javelinas are known to wander through. What makes Javelina Rocks special is how accessible it is. You don’t need a long hike to reach it, just a willingness to stop and let the desert show off for a while. It’s a reminder that beauty here isn’t hidden, it’s everywhere. Grateful Traveler’s Note

Tucson in general is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. We stopped here for a break and to check out the scenery. I loved that I could climb some of the rocks easily and get some nice, fun pictures.

What a great National Park! We were lucky to be there when the monsoons were coming through. The weather was cool and overcast and you could hear the thunder and lightning.

Great pull off spot for a short walk up to the rocks with a great view of the valley and walk through the cacti. Some good information boards in the parking lot. No trail markers, but all paths lead to the overlook.
