No management , Kitchen was dirty food looked old and unappetizing portions were small for the price $15 for four tacos. One worker stood there and did nothing as one younger lady helped the three customers throughout the building. All the other worker did was make tortillas and stand there. kitchen space was unorganized and you could tell while they struggled to bag and prepare food. I’m sure this place could be better, but it just wasn’t good. Feel bad for the younger lady. She was doing everything and She looked untrained unprepared to even do the job.

I've been wanting to visit for a few years, & yesterday I did! It did not disappoint! The birria tacos were on point & consume damn good! The cilantro rice delicious! The chips are fresh, & salsa amazing! Chrystal helped with everything we needed & made the experience even better! The cook 5⭐️ for the feed! This is a place that should be global & not just local!

We tried Javi's tonight for the first time and could not recommend it enough. The food was delicious and will definitely make me come back for more. We met the owner while was was cooking, such a nice guy. He recommended the birria chimichanga and the nachos. Both were fantastic! The chimichanga was cheesy and toasted to perfection, and the consumme was very favorful. It was served with a side of queso, the best! The nachos with chorizo were tasty and some of the best nachos I've had. I highly recommend you try it out!!

Google
Service was good. Asada taco was good. I was disappointed with the ground beef gordita. I've had gorditas at El alambre and a place in Portales, NM. Those had fluffy, soft "shells" (for lack of a better word). The gordita here was extra fried and just didn't taste the way I expected. I ended up not eating it.

Amazing food and friendly service! Chrystal, the woman at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful as it was our first-time eating at Javi's. I ordered the street taco platter. It came with 4 tacos all of which were double shelled and your choice of meat and choice of rice. I had 2 birria, chorizo and carne asada with cilantro rice. All of it was very good and tasty. You also had your choice of sauce that was excellent. My brother ordered chips and salsa which were delicious as we were informed the chips had just been freshly fried. Very good locally owned chain restaurant!

Google
Quick pickup Mexican food with some very impressive offerings. Family size Quesa Birria. 5 stars It was everything we hoped it could be. It came with 3 sauces on the side to add to the birria sauce to make it spicier and enhance the flavor. Lengua burrito with charred beans and Roja rice 5 stars This was my favorite! I could see myself coming back for this. It's also hard to find lengua at many restaurants in the weekdays. Many places only serve it on the weekends I liked that your options included Jamaica, horchata and the melon drink along with your usual assortment of soft drinks. I tried the melon which we all agreed was a good flavor. Unfortunately the horchata was out so we didn't try that one Parking is available in a large shared lot.

Google
Stop by this location 5/2/24 around 1pm on my way to the airport. Tacos were great the service was fantastic and definitely made you feel welcome in the establishment the only thing I didn't care for was the I think it was the cilantro rice that was the only thing I didn't like but other than that the food was five stars and the customer service was five stars. As we took off out of Omaha we flew back over the location and I'm like man I should have got some more tacos for the plane ride e🤣🤣🤣

Google
Really good flavor. Cilantro rice was well seasoned and favored. The Al pastor hits all the right notes. The carna asada needed a little more love was chewy and bland but mixed with the wonderful rice and plenty of toppings was good! I do wish they would add more corn in there corn salsa, it was more like bean salsa

Yelp
My son has been wanting birria tacos so we stopped here. I went with a Carne Asada quesadilla that was delicious! Loaded with meat and topping, this quesadilla is one of the best in town. I love the varieties of salsa with their salad bar as well, but I would be mindful of the creamy salsa because that will light you up! Decent menu to choose from, but I have always ordered quesadillas because they are that good.

Yelp
I have been looking for a good breakfast taco/burrito for a while now and I believe I found it at Javi's. They provide a number of options, but I recommend either the $4 taco or $10 burrito. I ordered the bacon taco twice this week, which included egg, hash browns, and shredded cheese on a flour tortilla (also offer corn). The also had more topping available. Observations: they do a great job blending it all together. So when you take a bit, you get all the flavors and not just a pocket of cheese here and meat there. The portion is huge, with toppings overflowing out of the tortilla. The filling could have easily filled two tortillas. I do ask for two things that I think makes it even better. (1) I ask them to extra cook the bacon and hash browns to make them extra crispy. (2) I have them toast the tortilla, so it holds up to the massive filling.

Yelp
I want to love Javi's so bad because I have had some great meals here, but the inconsistency just kills me. I picked up lunch for myself here today and decided on a sope. The employee I placed my order with was very kind and patient with me while I finished up a phone call with the doctor's office. I was able to dress my sope exactly how I liked it. You really get quite a bit of food for the money. The value is definitely there. My problem today unfortunately was the guac. I had them add it to my sope, and that was my cardinal mistake. It would have been great without it! Upon taking the very first bite of my meal something tasted very off; like seafood. The only problem... I ordered the asada. Thinking I was crazy, I took another bite. I tried to isolate what the issue was and identified it as the guacamole. It had definitely turned. It honestly tasted like I was eating a yucky ceviche.. Before consuming, I noticed that the hue was a little dark, but dismissed it because guac oxidizes quickly. Because it pretty well covered a majority of my meal, there wasn't much to salvage. I decided I would call Javi's to spare anyone the same fate I had just endured. After speaking to the employee they just said thank you and then hung up. Not that I wanted anything for free but it would've been nice for a replacement to be offered, even though I wouldn't have been able to pick it up as I had taken my lunch and that was it. I am really hoping they decided to heed my warning and swapped it out because it was truly foul. I'm not sure if it was just spoiled, or had been left uncovered next to something in the fridge overnight. Regardless, it was hands-down the worst guac I've ever had in my life.

Yelp
Best breakfast burrito, EVER!! The service is always top notch! I always over eat because the food is so good, I can't stop!

Yelp
It was very underwhelming. It sounded good from the menu and seemed like it would be packed with flavor, but it was quite the opposite. I got a burrito with el pastor and most of the toppings while my boyfriend got a birria,el pastor, and asada tacos with an el pastor quesadilla. The burrito was huge so that was great to see. However my biggest complaint was this all cost $40 just to not be very flavorful. The service and ambiance were fine so no issue there. The concept of this place is very similar to chipotle.

Yelp
Wanted so badly to like this place but after trying it I sadly have to leave this review. I tried the birria taco meal and the rice tasted like the microwaveable rice that you would pickup at the hyvee next to this location and the tacos had huge chunks of fat that made me lose my appetite. Good thing Omaha doesn't have a shortage of taco places because never again

Ethan S.

Yelp
Delicious tacos and very good lunch deal. Many options for toppings to customize to your tastes. Multiple levels of spice options. Fast service and good atmosphere. Love the music!

Yelp
Taco Tuesday treat! Each month they have a specific protein that is on special every Tuesday for $1/limit 5 per person. We stopped in for the last April-Al pastor one. Staff was very friendly and nice. The establishment appeared clean and open. Not many people were there when we arrived around 5:30pm but quickly picked up as we were finishing. The street tacos came w/ or w/o onions & cilantro. Simple and tasty! The sauces were a little confusing as far as heat scale. Pictured is the self serve salsa station which shows the "heat" scale under each name but when you look at the same scale for the same salsas being portioned by the staff they are different. Not sure what thats about but we enjoyed the tomatillo with ours today.
google avatar

Manda M.

Yelp
The $1 taco Tuesday ad I found online brought our family of 3 in to try for the first time. When we arrived the advertised special was actually $2, no big deal... there was also an additional special of $2 beers. My husband orders 3 street tacos and a beer. He notices that the prices are regular and says something to the woman and she advises us that the discount would come off at the end. I get the receipt and only the discount on the beer comes off, I ask why and she informs me that only one discount is allowed so the tacos would be regular price... between that and the other small inconveniences. Charging us for pico on one taco AFTER already paying $60 for the 3 of us to have dinner on "taco Tuesday" seemed ridiculous. The food was ok but the other silly practices will keep our family from returning.

Yelp
We are here in Omaha from Hawaii for a rug cleaning class at your own Omaha's Rug Cleaning & Restoration this week, and found Javi's. The food is phenomenal, and after one ONO (Delicious) Carnitas burrito, and some chips and queso. It's time for a nap. Now, I eat lots of Carnitas burritos and these are very good. But the biggest reason for this review are Crystal and Anthony and the rest of the team here at Javi's ... it's the people at the front lines that make a company... Truly impressed with their enthusiasm and down to earth conversation... I will be back for more rug cleaning classes at Omaha Rug Cleaning and Restoration, so I know I'll see you guys again. Mahalo, my friends!!! Aloha!!!

Yelp
THE WORST service I've ever experienced! Also a horrible value for your money. I give it a ZERO out of 10! I wanted to order 2 deconstructed tacos and build them when I got home so the shell didn't get soggy. I was charged one dollar extra for them to put the meat in a to go container separate from the shells. When I got home there no toppings for the taco. I had two tiny tortillas and approximately 2oz of meat for 2 tacos. I called the restaurant when I got home to question and vent a little. They didn't seem bothered one bit. Funny, I ate there last week and shared with many people my positive experience. This week closed the door for me on Javi's. Off to somewhere else....tough business this is!

Michelle D.

Yelp
Ordered takeout for lunch from here today. My tacos completely fell apart when I tried to eat them. The shells were a soggy mess. I tried eating the tacos with a fork but they had no flavor at all. The rice was hard as rocks. The whole meal was basically inedible. I ended up just throwing everything away. Total disappointment.

Yelp
Headline: Good street tacos in a convenient location out west. I'm giving Javi's 4 stars because nothing blew me away. We tried nearly all the different meats in our street and Javi tacos--the al pastor and the chorizo being the best in my opinion. Al pastor was tender and flavorful, well-seasoned. The asada steak was pretty tender for the most part but there were a few tough gristle pieces that were inedible. The birria (shredded beef) was super dry and lacked flavor. So, the tacos were hit and miss. The cilantro rice needed salt, it was pretty bland. They cut the kids quesadilla into quarters but then stacked them on top of each other in the paper tray...so they congealed all together and were difficult to separate. The ordering process is a bit inconvenient. You walk up and place your order, then you go sit down (if dining in). When you hear your name called, you come up to get your food and have them add any customizations you paid for (for example, Javi's tacos come with whatever fixings you choose from a cold bar). They just hand it to you over the high counter, and the containers are soft sided so everything is a bit precarious. When I started struggling to get everything, the employee suggested I use a tray, which I hadn't noticed a little farther over, and that helped. Factor in a hungry kid into this and it becomes hectic.
google avatar

Jackie R.

Yelp
This is basically a glorified chipotle. Premade food sits in containers behind a counter and you select what you want on your order.
google avatar

Barnett J.

Yelp
We had excellent service from Jack, Sean, and Kim tonight. The portions were incredibly big, and we were not prepared.
google avatar

Yelp
Please hire more staff. The food is great but the time it takes from when I order to leave the restaurant keeps getting longer and longer while the amount of staff working keeps dropping and dropping.
google avatar

Sondra Z.

Yelp
We got a variety of street tacos:. Asada, chicken, El pastor, and birria. The birria was a new flavor for us and a favorite, sort of like a beef pot roast. We also tried each of the sauces. The creamy habanero lived up to its spicy billing, the chili de abrol was ok but our least favorite, the molcejete is a chunky medium sauce, the tomatillo was a great green sauce and the chip salsa basically has zero heat at all. We also got both pico and the corn salsa. They don't come with chips and are a bit pricey for the small serving, but the corn and black bean salsa especially was a nice addition to the tacos. And you can never go wrong with a churro to finish things off!
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
I have been keeping my eye on this business for the past several months, waiting for the opportunity to dine in. It wasn't crowded during the evening hour and ordering was relatively easy. I went with a 'fan' favorite, the breakfast burrito with all the toppings and a churro filled with cream. I didn't think they would make these fresh but I saw them mix the items into a skillet and dish it onto a large tortilla. I was keeping this simple by only adding onions and a moderate hot sauce to the mix. The overall dining area was pretty clean and organized. I liked the ambiance and the openness of the area. Overall, a decent meal, took home the rest of my meal for a future snack.
google avatar

Jay N.

Yelp
I met a friend here for lunch. This was my first time here. It is a lot smaller than most restaurants . It was very clean. The menu was easy to understand and offered a good variety. I ordered the Birra taco platter. I really didn't know what to expect other than tacos and rice. I was pleasantly surprised. I received three double shelled tacos and red rice. The tacos had a very flavorful shredded meat in them with onions and a dipping sauce. The dipping sauce was very good and flavorful. I was impressed with the flavor. Overall I was impressed. I will have to bring my family here for a meal in the near future.
google avatar

Chad B.

Yelp
As soon as you walk in the door the staff is always there to greet you with a smile. They are always extremely kind and open to answering any menu questions. Last night I picked up a burrito meal with both types of rice as sides and queso with chips. It was all fresh and quite tasty. The creamy habanero salsa is very spicy, but taste so good. I recommend adding a little to your burrito if you want a kick. Their burritos are even bigger than the chain competition. I don't know how anyone can finish the meal. I had half a burrito and rice left over for breakfast. It was still super yummy! I highly recommend this local gem!

Yelp
After much, much hype on the OFL page I wanted to really like Javi's Tacos. Now I have to give them credit. Their marketing is phenomenal and their social media presence deserves an A+. The food, however, is lacking for me. If you read any of my other reviews, you'll know that I usually try to eat at a place TWICE if I land on less than a 4 or 5 star review. I've had Javi's twice now, each time trying something different and I stand on my 3 star review. Ok so the first time we ordered their basic tacos. And that's exactly what they tasted like...basic tacos. Certainly not the worst I've had and not the best. Just very average, mediocre tacos. And maybe this is really good if I ate it in the context of not seeing so much hype...but to their downfall, maybe too much social media set up my expectations really high. I talked with some foodie friends to really percolate on my experience and see if maybe I caught them on a bad night OR maybe I tried the wrong thing. Well, several of them said to go back and get the Birria Tacos so that is exactly what I did this past week. On first impression, it looked amazing! (Although for 3 tacos, $15 felt a little steep...$10 or $12 might have felt more fair, but I digress.) The presentation even for their to-go was really nice. Greasy and gooey tacos just like I imagined it would be. Again, I wanted to like this more but it was lacking. It almost needed a bit more salt or seasoning and the consomme was just as lacking as the meat. The rice was good, although you could tell it looked like a pre-packaged box rice. (When they said cilantro rice, I imagined something like Chipotle rice but better.) Overall, I wanted to like Javi's way more than I did. It was pretty average for me and for the price point, I felt like we should've just driven to South O and gotten something else. What Mexican joints would I recommend instead?? For West Omaha, definitely hit it El Alambre for nachos, tacos, etc. If I wanted Birria again, I would make the drive to Isla Del Mar and get their Birria pizza.

Yelp
Where do I even start? At the beginning I guess: they greet everyone who comes in. It's a small touch that sets the positive vibe immediately. The food does the rest. So delicious! Some of the heartiest, tastiest salsa I've had in ages. Also Mexican beer (Victoria), Mexican sparkling water (Mineragua), and Mexican deliciousness (everything). It's a quick serve place like a Qdoba or Chipotle, but in my opinion (and my wife's too) Javi's is better. Tacos are amazing, chips and salsa are fantastic, rice and beans bowl totally tasty .... We've got a new go-to for our Mexican cravings.
google avatar

Kari W.

Yelp
I went in at 11:30 (just before lunch rush) and it still took 30 minutes to get my order. Friends and obvious favorite customers came in and had their orders made before those in line time. If not for this, and the wait time, they would have received 4 stars! The Bireia tacos are spot on. The burrito not so much

Shawn K.

Yelp
nasty tacos. bought the lunch special and got 2 hard shell taco's rice and beans. lunch special doesn't start tell 1. cost almost 15 bucks for tacos that fell apart on the first bite. who starts lunch at 1. really. this place sucks
google avatar

Brit B.

Yelp
So we have tried this place several times and I've always been left underwhelmed. It's just ok food. The prices are reasonable for what you get.
google avatar

David Y.

Yelp
Javi's was a reasonable taco/Mexican restaurant that does fast casual. I got the Birria tacos- these were the first time I've had them and I enjoyed them. It was a braised beef taco with a dipping sauce with a fried shell and cheese in it. I think these had good flavors and definitely felt like a greasier, tastier taco. I don't really think that these were worth it from a value perspective, though. $15 for 3 tacos and rice is on the higher end for Mexican food. That said, these are a unique experience that you can't get at most other Mexican restaurants, so fair enough. Quesadilla was really excellent, I liked the beef quite a bit. Again, a bit steep at $11. Overall, I actually had a good experience at Javi's but I don't really think the value is quite there. I actually think you can get a comparable burrito at Aberlardos or Linas for decently cheaper (albeit a bit smaller). Not sure if I would go back or not.

Brian K.

Yelp
We did a catering for a family Christmas party from Javi's. They prepared the food, and we picked it up. I can't speak highly enough about how good of a job they did on this. We did a combo of taco bar and nacho bar. We picked up a few boxes from the restaurant, and brought them to the house. The meats were all packaged in foil where we can easily keep it warm, and the various toppings were packed in resealable plastic containers. I wish I had taken a photo when we got home. It was packed in a way that made it so easy to set up. This was such a great way to pack up the menu. It worked great. Every family member complimented both the taste, and the way the food was presented. I would highly recommend using this for a taco bar/nacho bar for your next gathering.

Yelp
Bruh, this is the best Mexican in Omaha. My favorite is the quesadilla with grilled shrimp.

Yelp
I just moved out west and was hoping to find a spot with good tacos, Sopes and burritos since the trucks and South O places I usually go to are further than I wanna drive to now. I was really hoping this place would be it after reading some reviews and learning a little bit about this place. Honestly this place is Ok, but I doubt it will be my go to spot. The Tacos were ok, we decided to dine in and ordered 4 street tacos (2 Asada, 2 Al Pastor) but the meat was lukewarm at best. The Sopes, were good the corn base of the Sope was great. Again, the meat was lukewarm but hidden by how hot the Sope was. One thing that was a bit annoying was how stingy one of the employees was with the toppings. While one employee was as minimal as you could get, the other poured it on. For $5 a Sope I'm pretty sure a 10¢ topping isn't gonna break the place. The sauces were the best thing, aside from the Corn Sope base. We tried the two Habanero sauces and really liked them, the heat and flavor were very well balanced and enjoyable. Now if I'm being completely honest, the Tomatillo sauce was on point! I would drink it as a shot if they had that as an option. The biggest disappointment came with the beans and rice, which were not even lukewarm. They tasted like they have been sitting out on the table for 15 minutes before you sat down to finally eat. A little stirring of the tray might have alleviated this issue. And I tried these as soon as they came out so we weren't the reason why they were cold. 3 stars was being generous and while I'm not impressed at all, I'll give them another shot later in hopes that it was one bad experience and not the norm.
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
This place is the definition of "bang for your buck." The prices are low and the portions are huge! I've had the bowls and the sopes, which were loaded with everything you could want and so delicious. I also love the chips and queso!

Ron A.

Yelp
The service and the atmosphere is great! I wish I liked it. Tacos way too much cheese. I miss taco grande . I will have to try something else.
google avatar

Brooke L.

Yelp
**YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS** Wow. So good! I have been wanting to try birria tacos for awhile, I'm glad i got them here. I'm sure things differ depending on family recipes but this was amazing and we'll definitely be back. When my boyfriend looked at the menu he thought it was just like some Americanized fast food version of Mexican food. After his first bite of his burrito he said "wow that's good!" Even the chips and queso are different and delicious. I got the mild sauce and I'm glad I did, I got a side of medium sauce and tried it once my initial reaction was shock with how much flavor the medium has and then the heat hits you. My boyfriend said that's how you know it's a good hot sauce. It's not just heat. Moral of the story, eat here. But primarily on a Monday, Friday, or Saturday when they have the birria platter.
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
Killer Birria Taco platter - one of the best I've had. The staff was pretty upbeat and friendly as well. 4 stars just due to location - PLEASE open a Javi's near Aksarben/Midtown/DT. This could become our Friday ritual but I can't justify that drive
google avatar

Bill M.

Yelp
We were looking for a place nearby with outdoor seating for lunch on the last nice Sunday of the year. This place came up on Yelp, so we gave it a try. There was only one table, and it was empty, but my wife decided to eat inside due to the wind. All the staff friendly, helpful and happy. Couldn't ask for a better atmosphere! I got a meatless burrito (because they'll make it however you want), and it couldn't have been better. We'll definitely be back. The wife wants to come back on a Friday when the Birria taco is available. Has to stop and get some ice cream on the way home to mellow out the wonderful spice taste we were left with
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
This place is the bomb!!! I will drive far for this. They were busy and def new and there are some kinks but the food and salsas speak volume. We ordered 2 carne Asada burritos and a chicken nachos. Both amazing flavor, and super fresh. The burrito is huge but I couldn't stop eating. They melt the cheese on your tortilla first which really takes it to the top. The habanero creme is so good. Lots of heat. Also loved the queso that is in the nachos. The steak was tender and flavorful and you get a lot. My only criticisms is that I didn't enjoy the fact they let people get up to the ordering area where all the food is without their mask on. He said nothing and served a guy without one. They were so busy and behind and the owner came in. I would have got behind the counter and helped. Also, I think part of the slow issue is it's backwards. You should order food and get it then pay. The amount of people asking for extra stuff at the end is ridiculous. Stuff they didn't pay for but they gave it to them. That's why you should always pay last. They are new so it was fine waiting awhile but it was def crazy in there, I'll be back but if they aren't enforcing masks, especially by food/toppings window, maybe not for a little bit.
google avatar

Dan L.

Yelp
Love this place. Birria tacos are the best. Also great breakfast burritos. I like the amount of hash browns they put in them compared to the eggs and chorizo. I like chorizo but not when it's the only thing in something and they balance it out just right. Get it with some salsa and it's hard to beat.
google avatar

Khoi M.

Yelp
We got it Togo. Sad part is I live south of the metro and the location is out west. Let's say these tacos do no travel well. Took me 45mins round trip to get food home. I wish we could have ate there. The food was ok. I guess I'm not finding the spice and flavors I'd imagine it would be with the red spiced dipping broth. The birrria tacos were rubber probably because my trip. The seasoning was right not salty and not bland and full of fat. The chip and dip was good. Next time I'll have to give it a try to dine in.

Yelp
Highly recommend Javi's for your event! The Javi's Taco Truck Team that served our daughter wedding went well beyond our expectations. They served everything, chips and salsa, tacos, burritos and amazing churros. With the fabulous food and friendly service, our guests will be talking about Javi's tacos for a long time.

Raymond S.

Yelp
Waited almost an hour and then they said they ran out of Chorizo for my burrito. On line orders take precedence over customers in store. It was at least 10 minutes to get someone to take my order. This definitely will be my last time I go here or recommend this place to anyone. In fact I will go out of my way to tell others not to go there.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
The Al pastor is delicious! I love that you can customize your meal. Service is usually quick, but it can get busy at lunch. We love their menu.

Yelp
Best tacos around hands down!! Street tacos were too good to take a picture first! Will definitely come back when I'm in the area!

Yelp
Great taco! The soft opening has a limited menu but i will be back when everything is operational. The remodeled facility is super clean and the staff very friendly. I had a basic flour softshell with ground beef. I got to pick my toppings which was hard because they all were super fresh. Really hope everyone tries them and likes what they have. Would be awesome to keep this small business in that spot!

Mike D.

Yelp
I've been coming to Javi's since it opened, they have the best breakfast burritos in Omaha!

Truthfully I will never go to Javis tacos again. Went in this morning to get breakfast burritos. A burrito is $9, but $2 extra to make it "loaded" meaning I can add whatever I want from the counter. The woman taking our order kept offering menu items trying to rack our bill up. Total came out to be $30.70, FOR ONLY TWO BURRITOS, yikes. We waited for our food & when called to the counter came up. I asked for sour cream in which the lady replies "that will be an additional $2". But I already paid the $2 for the "loaded", only for the lady to get an attitude and talk to me disrespectfully while explaining it's an extra $2 because the sour cream is in an individual container. Rolled her eyes and had an attitude. I will NEVER eat there again. The only reason I even gave 2 stars was because the burrito was half decent, but not for $30!!!!

Yelp
I've been to Javi's, especially this location, numerous times over the last year and a half. I love Javi's and their food. However, apparently they can't handle a 4 meal order anymore. Went in at non-peak time with very few people in the store. They got 3 out of the 4 orders wrong. One of them we had them remake and they got it wrong again, both times putting different meat in the meal than asked for. Then they came out to the table and told me, as the customer, that I was wrong and that I had told them what they put in the remake, and that they would not make it again for me. They've lost a very frequent customer. Don't go to this location. I've had minor issues with my previous orders, nothing to really complain about. But this experience has shown me they don't care about their customers.

Yelp
Absolute delicious food. Staff is always smiling and helpful and even patient as we were overwhelmed with the options on the first visit. The hibiscus drink is delicious and my daughter always wants that. Burritos are gigantic and you definitely get what you pay for. Nachos are yummy. What's great is you get to choose your own toppings so it should be a hit with everyone who comes in. I wish they had another location downtown or Midtown for when we are craving their food when we're on that side of town. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but.... My first visit will likely be the only one. Menu was a little tricky to see, posted above and to the left of the register. Rather than hold up the line, I asked the cashier what was popular. He suggested that I get the platter, so I took his advice. Waited a few minutes (8-10?) and food was ready. We were summoned back up to the counter with lots of tempting salsas and toppings. That's where things started to go off the rails. Apparently the platter is a discount package, so you can't actually get any of the salsas or toppings on your food. I offered to pay extra, but I was told that wasn't an option since I got the platter. Sat down and ate the food, and it needed salsa to give it a little kick. It was just ok but might have been really good if not so plain. If I could have added some salsa, guacamole, and veggies it might have been pretty good. Really hoped to find a cool new local spot to eat, but the whole experience just put me off. I wish they would have had the option to add toppings or at least let me know that the recommendation was a plain discount combo package. I'll stick with Maximos over in Elkhorn next time.

Yelp
The food is great and fast, but not fast food. Amazing flavors, shrimp tacos are the best! Week definitely go back.

Yelp
I went to the one on 171st and W Center. But I didn't see that location among the choices. But this was my first visit to any Javi's Tacos. I got the steak burrito and the berria taco platter. Wow!! Amazing. It was in the middle of the afternoon so it wasn't busy at all. So my food was ready quickly. I got home. I gave one of the tacos to my neighbor. He'd never had javi's either. He'd heard they can be hit and miss but the Lakeside location was suppose to be one of the good ones. He loved the taco. I've only eaten one of the tacos and saving the last one and the burrito til later. But I'm sure the burrito will be delicious as well. I'll comment again after I eat it. Today was my first day. Not my last
