"Glendale may not be the first place one would look for either stellar seafood or sweeping views, but look again: Here comes Jax with rooftop seating to boot. Tucking into a bowl of crawfish gumbo, a lobster roll, or a mess of peel ‘n’ eat shrimp on a sunny, breezy day is as good as it gets 1,000 miles from the nearest ocean." - Eater Staff

"What’s on the to-go menu at the Glendale branch of Jax these days? A better question is, what isn’t? While meeting all its neighbors’ seafood needs with raw bar samplers, entrees such as blackened catfish with collard greens and hushpuppies, and cioppino kits for two, it’s also become home to not one, not two, but three different ghost-kitchen concepts. The Tender Project answers the clamor for fried chicken; The Cheesesteak Project, of course, specializes in its namesake; and The Lasagna Project doubles as a fundraiser for the food-insecure. Takeout and delivery 3:30–9 p.m. daily" - Eater Staff

Google
Katie & Otto were the best servers. They gave the best recommendations, made us feel welcomed, and were great people to chat with! I will definitely come back here and want to request Katie & Otto!!!

Mike Schmidt

Google
We had Kate and Otto as we got away for an anniversary meal. Their attention to detail, the manner in which they waited and us and even coming over to simply chat was a much welcome relief to what is a mostly rushed experience today. We’d come back simply to get them as our team again because they’re the kind of staff you want waiting on customers.

Decided to try out this location as we frequent the location in Downtown and in Fort Collins. The food here was consistent with other locations and nonetheless delicious. Walking in the hostess was pleasant. We sat on the rooftop which was amazing with the beautiful day we had. We arrived about 4:30 on a Saturday, the restaurant was just waking up for the evening with a great ambiance. The reason for the lower rating was due to our server. Every other staff member we interacted with were simply cool people. Our server did not bring us napkins, cutlery, or the check. We had to ask a food runner for the fixings for the oysters as well as the dining utensils. The server did not check in on us much less interact with us. We asked for the check as we sat waiting for him for about 20 minutes. Then when we had to go ask him for the check as he took another 10 minutes to print it as he was polishing glassware. The other staff members held nice conversations and looked to be having nice conversations with their tables. Sadly, this service did ruin our experience. Overall, a solid choice for dining. Hopefully with a better server but I understand we all have our off days.

Google
I love this place so much and the servers, bar staff, and shuckers are always so nice to me. I often come by myself for all day Monday happy hour since my partner is not a huge seafood fan (lame) 😉 Recently, if you don't have a reservation they have an outdoor patio where a server will bring you a cocktail or mocktail. It is really nice. Laid back atmosphere with top notch food and great happy hour.

Google
Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar completely lived up to the hype. From the moment I walked in, the energy was on point--vibrant but not overwhelming, perfect for a night out. The service was top-notch too--friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food. Let's talk oysters... insane. Fresh, briny, and beautifully presented. I tried a mix from the raw bar and even got the chargrilled ones--honestly, some of the best I've had in Colorado. I also had the scallops and a lobster roll--both were rich, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients

Our server Erica was amazing! We had a party of 7 with a lot of food allergies, Erica took her time with us and made sure all of our food came out perfect. (Thank you kitchen!!) Erica also kept a cake in the fridge for us, asked the kitchen for something to cut it with, she lit the candles, and carried our cake to our table for our 80 year old birthday queen!! Everything was wonderful! We will definitely be back!!

This is one of my favorite places in the Denver area to grab oysters and other good seafood. Drinks are phenomenal as well. I did their New Year's Eve experience in 2023 and 2024 and would highly recommend. Very well run establishment as well!

Came to Jax while on a trip with my wife. We were trying to sit on the rooftop but it was closed despite having great weather on a Sunday. The restaurant was busy so the initial hiccups we had with our original server could be expected but the reason for leaving this review, is for the gentleman named Otto, who came to our to table and made sure our dining experience turned from good to incredible. The kindness, impressive customer care and time that was taken really turned our evening around. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
You know 5 star service when you get 5 star service. Jax doesn't slip at all, focusing on several touches from multiple ppl, with a customer centric focus. Every dish we ordered was exceptionally executed. The calamari was the best we've had; not over cooked, sumptuous with a perfect fry and both tubular and rings balanced. Also, there was no "old" taste to the frying oil. Their willingness to substitute sides without concern was another way they excelled at pleasing the customer. They have quite a few menus so that you know everything available. Perfect for our birthday party. While my father wanted scallops I was happy they offered raw oysters individually, freshly shucked. Our tableside banter with Cody, our waiter, personalized our birthday dinner. Thank you Jax, for adding to our special event. They even had "Happy Birthday" written on the table. Get there a bit early for their Happy Hour with live music.

Heather C.

Yelp
We stopped in to this location for the first time today and absolutely loved it. We have been to the downtown location many times and found this location better suited for us - it wasn't as crowded, it's easy to find parking, and there is live music on Fridays (the singer was fantastic). Ryan and Ben waited on us at the bar and both did an excellent job - but the thing I was most impressed by was how many employees checked in on us, they really work as a team. We had several happy hour apps starting with oysters, shishito peppers, French fries, peel and eat shrimp and the lobster deviled eggs. Everything was really good and they had perfect portion sizes. My favorite were the shishitos and my husband's were the oysters of course. We didn't have any drinks, but I did check out the wine list and was impressed by the quality of wines they offer. We had a great experience and will be back again soon!

Yelp
With friends in Glendale, looking for a happy hour spot, we found Jax and their Monday Happy Hour (all night!). A bright, festive atmosphere found us seated immediately and ordering one thing after another off the menu. Raw oysters, deviled eggs with lobster, mussels with toasted bread, chargrilled oysters, fish sandwiches, beets and burrata salad, wedge salads, you name it. And of course drinks of all sorts. Fresh seafood, decent dishes, delicious drinks. If you're looking for a good happy hour, visit Jax in Glendale, especially on a Monday where the happy hour lasts until closing time!

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Great happy hour at Jax! We love happy hour--especially when a restaurant can make items not gluten-free, GF. Jax not only provides the atmosphere for date night, they also have great seafood. Everything we had was yum and the portions were nice--not too small. We enjoyed: west coast oysters, shishito peppers, we split the hh wedge salad, lobster deviled eggs, chargrilled oysters and my partner had a cup of gumbo (not gf). We sat at the bar talked to the bartenders who are always knowledgeable, kind and helpful. Loved our experience!

Wendell W.

Yelp
I had great service from the moment I walked through the door two nights ago. I sat at the bar and both bartenders were very attentive. I didn't have to ask for anything. I started the evening off with a cup of gumbo. As a native New Orleanian I am extremely critical of NOLA cuisine. That said the gumbo was pretty good. One small tip the roux was a little too dark and left a low note of burnt mess to the dish. Natives don't make their roux that dark for gumbo. It was pack with seafood. So a huge thank you for that! For my entree I had the North Carolina Catfish. The dish is solid but probably not one I would necessarily order again. I found the cornmeal a little too thick but that is a personal preference so no deduction. I am not a hush puppy person but these were really good, especially when combined with the pot licker. I absolutely love desserts and was able to end the evening on a high note with a key lime tart. I will say that there are a lot of entrees that sound very appealing and I will definitely be back to indulge.

Yelp
We came to Jax on a Monday evening for happy hour. They serve happy hour throughout the entire restaurant, which is great. They have a nice covered outdoor patio area where we sat. Their happy hour has some great options, including oysters and mussels. The oysters were so fresh!

Angie H.

Yelp
Stopped for a drink and quick bite. Great service at the bar. The calamari was delicious and drink prices were great!

Corina E.

Yelp
This place was closer to home than I expected! We would have loved to sit on the upstairs patio but it was just too hot. Oysters were delicious. Try the palisade peach if available! We also tried the gumbo and calamari. Service was on point and speedy! We will be back!

Tj S.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! Their service is always accommodating and top knoch! Music is a vibe and they have the freshest seafood available in the state (cheaper than everyone else to boot!)

Michael B.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our first visit here. On an Impulsive craving for mussels we searched out something nearby, booked a table, and headed out. Having the reservation turned out to be an excellent move, as it became our ticket to the delightful rooftop bar and patio. Friday nights are graced by live music, other evenings have trivia night etc. Jax is now officially part of our regular rotation! Ordered mussels, calamari, fries (what are mussels without frites??), sangrias and settled in for great music on a warm evening. Just so chill.

Michael A.

Yelp
Monday night is local night. Great deal on their wines and oysters. Most of their wine bottles are half off on Mondays. Great selection of wines and we chose one that was a good compliment to our meals. Just ask your server for recommendations. We ordered a dozen oysters which were $2 per on Monday's. Very fresh and love that they have their own branded oysters from Virginia. Lobster rolls was amazing. Great chunks of lobster and the bread was perfect. Highly recommend. Love my fries but these were just okay. The salmon was also perfectly cooked and the sides were a great compliment. It was just the perfect meal. I loved the tater tots which was more like a potato patty. The dill cream on the veggies were so darn good. MWAH!! Sign me up for local night anytime.

Yelp
First Time Here And Will Come Back !! Brian Served Me During Happy Hour And Was Very Knowledgable, Friendly, Patient (I Came Alone And Stayed For 2-3 Hours On The Rooftop . It Was Great To Watch The Sunset . Drinks Were Great & Brian Gave Me The Schedule For Other Days Since I Said I Live Closeby . Will Def Come By Another Day.

Edie A.

Yelp
Went for our traditional Christmas Eve Feast of the Seven Fishes meal. This year's was a five course meal for $85 per person. Service was friendly and attentive. Pacing of the courses was always verified with us before having the kitchen prep the next course. As a lover of calamari, I would have to say my favorite course was the third - calamari ripieni...a colorful dish of tomato sugo (sauce), crisp fried basil, and calamari two ways, one was stuffed with Italian sausage. I have a hazelnut allergy so it was greatly appreciated that the restaurant was already aware and had prepared a different crumble for my panna cotta dessert. A lovely way to spend our Christmas Eve.

Ashley T.

Yelp
So so good! Plenty of seating indoors but would definitely recommend getting a reservation, even on a weekday. Happy hour is every day from 3:30-5pm. You can sit indoors, outdoors and at the bar. Food was delicious. The calamari is the best I've ever had and their mango-Chile mojo/lime aioli sauce is phenomenal. There is the perfect amount of breading, it's definitely on the lighter side. I'll definitely be ordering this again the next time visit. Steam mussels were delicious with plenty of flavor. You get a lot of mussels for the price! Happy hour oysters are crackerjack oysters, which are from the east coast. So so good and very reasonably priced! It comes with a cocktail sauce and an apple cider vinegar sauce. Definitely try both sauces or just eat with lemon! Staff is so friendly and helpful. They are able to answer any questions you have and help You determine which oyster is best for you!

Yelp
Despite its remote location from any coastline, this consistently exceptional seafood restaurant offers an unparalleled dining experience. The cuisine is of exceptional quality and preparation, while the service and ambiance are both impeccable. Regrettably, its proximity to our residence presents a disadvantage. II consistently patronize that establishment for an exceptional lobster roll.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
I love Jax! Have been going here for years and I love their Happy Hour, cannot beat a Sunday Happy Hour! Food is always high quality and service is great!

Rafael S.

Yelp
Had a great time and culinary experience with our granddaughters that love oysters, and all shellfish. Visiting from Orlando and Miami, went without reservations and the manager very nicely accommodated us. Their craft cocktails are good. The service works as a try team in a very friendly and professional manner (specially the backup Server; Rose(?)) . The ambiance is refreshing with a nice bar scene and what seems as many regulars. A great find and an awesome experience.

Nicole C.

Yelp
Cody S was our server, and was fabulous. We were celebrating my dad's birthday and he was given a card signed by the staff. I thought that was a great touch.

M N.

Yelp
Amazing everything! You need to have the HH- soo good! All drinks and the deviled eggs--so good!

Yelp
I had crazy high hopes for Jax, but Happy Hour disappointed today. A few things to note: - Fish and Chips is no longer offered during Happy Hour. The website has not yet been updated to reflect this. - The oysters were absolutely delicious. Not sure what was in the dispenser, but the provided garnish sufficed just fine. Highly recommend starting with a half dozen. - The Hamachi Crudo has a lot going on, but give it a good mix and the flavors work quite well. It's not offered as part of the Happy Hour. Good for two to share. - The calamari was frankly bad. It has been a long time since I've had soggy "fried/crispy" calamari. It was undercooked but the taste turned us off quite a bit. No way we could have it. - Service was okay. We came five minutes early and they told us to come back in 15 minutes, then called us back when they realized the time. My server barely acknowledged me and was probably not happy about us disliking the calamari. - Ambiance was pleasant. Being from California, it reminded me of Lure Fish House. Like Lure, though, it was overrated and way too overpriced. Hey, we trecked in the snow during our vacation to come here. Between reception and quality, we were disappointed. Still love the oysters, though.

Alexei R.

Yelp
I come here every time I am in Denver. Their happy hour is pretty good for food and for drinks. I had the $2 oysters and they were delicious. I also had the 1/2 pound peel shrimp and they were also good. What the best dish of the night was the Branzino. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce it came with was delicious. The octopus was a little over cooked but the flavor of the whole dish itself was really good. Thanks guys! Always coming back every year.

Yelp
We've enjoyed dining at this Cherry Creek area Jax location several times. First of all, the decor is clean, cool and very comfortable. We usually just pull up a stool and sit at the bar, where we always get exceptional food & drink service from their top notch bartending crew. And, you get a front row seat to watch their trained oyster shuckers in action, always entertaining! Try to time your visit during their daily happy hours, as you'll get several of Jax best menu items at reduced prices. In this lousy economy, every dollar saved is important, so take advantage of bargain dining when you can. My personal happy hour favorite is the plate full of peel 'n eat shrimp that are seasoned with a flavored sea salt and served with a tangy cocktail sauce -- absolutely yummy! And you'll never go wrong with Jax homemade gumbo, which is as good as you'll get anywhere outside of New Orleans. For the best seafood experience in the Denver area, THIS Jax location is where you need to be.

Dana W.

Yelp
The happy hour is pretty good! The peel and eat shrimp are my go to along with the the deviled eggs. And you can't go wrong! Yum yum yummm!!!

Robert C.

Yelp
We love this place. Come here often. The food is consistently great and the atmosphere is charming. Always great service. This is our go to spot when we want something upscale but low-key. But Dear Jax: I'm BEGGING you to bring back the old Thai muscles! And maybe move to Park Meadows

Yelp
Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar has rolled out new seasonal items on their menu and we had the opportunity to try them out for dinner this week. We arrived at Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar in Glendale, CO and were seated in the main dining room. The aesthetic of the restaurant was welcoming & nautical, complete with raw bar and ship beams on the ceiling. Area Director, Juliette & General Manager, Tyler ensured our meal ran smoothly - both had great energy and were active on the restaurant floor our entire meal. Our server, Ben was awesome. He was friendly, engaging and recommended amazing oysters for us to try. We started off our meal with two glasses of the Presecco, Villa Loren. The Presecco was fragrant with hints of floral & peach; it was a lovely pair for raw bar courses like the Savage Blonde Oysters and the Kanpachi Crudo. From the Chilled Raw Bar we had a dozen oysters on the half shell - the Savage Blondes. The Savage Blondes were beautiful in look & taste. They had brilliant shine and were briny and crisp with a sweet finish. The Kanpachi Crudo was made with ginger ponzu, pickled onion, corn crema, puffed rice, nori and Asian pear. The Kanpachi Crudo was gorgeous in color and bright in taste. The diced kanpachi was a tropical white fish highlighted by the effortless flavor of pickled onion & pear. The Main Lobster Roll was made with claw, knuckle and tail meat, herb dressing, cherry tomato, a butter toasted split-top roll and French fries. This traditional Maine lobster roll was served cold to preserve the lobster's natural sweetness and salinity. The lobster was flavored with freshly squeezed lemon juice and chives and the herb dressing added a nice creaminess to the roll. For new seasonal mains we got to try the Seared New England Scallops, the Butternut Squash Risotto, the Pacific Northwest Petrale Sole, and the Ahi Tuna Conserva. The Seared New England Scallops were made with soy braised pork belly, roasted fennel, brussels sprouts, honey crisp apple, creamy celeriac and pine bud syrup. The scallop was sweet and nutty in taste with a tender, soft chew in texture. The creamy celeriac mash was silky and buttery - a delightful lower-carb alternative to mashed potatoes. The Butternut Squash Risotto was made with roasted "hen of the woods" mushrooms, fried brussels sprout leaves, sour cherry, sage and grana padano. The risotta was a great fall dish - the sweet squash and fresh sage filled the risotto with delicious flavor. The Pacific Northwest Petrale Sole was made with fried capers, lemon-brown butter, parsley gold potatoes and crispy lacinato kale. The sole was our favorite seasonal dish. The sole was a finely textured, firm fillet with a delicately nutty flavor. The mild fish paired wonderfully with the rich buttery gold potato. The Ahi Tuna Conserva was made with sauce gribiche, yukon potatoes, fennel, heirloom cherry tomato, roasted kalamata olive and freshly cracked black pepper. The Ahi Tuna Conserva was meaty and the cherry tomatoes added nice acidity to the fish. For dessert we had the Pumpkin Spice Swiss Roll. The Pumpkin Spice Swiss Roll was made with apple and fennel compote, salty caramel anglaise and candied pepitas. This was the perfect autumnal treat. The cake was full of spiced pumpkin flavor that complemented the salty caramel frosting. The Pumpkin Spice Swiss Roll's cake was super soft and spongey.

Daniel M.

Yelp
The oysters were fresh and delicious. However, the swordfish was plain with the only flavor coming from the grill marks. The potato's were the best thing on the plate. A little bit of spices would be appreciated. Very disappointed.

Tracy B.

Yelp
So yummy!! Love the rooftop patio and the food is always consistent and tasty. The chowder is perfect on a cold night. A good steak for the non sea food lovers. A chicken dish would be a nice addition for those land lovers who may not want a heavy steak. Oysters are fresh and served on a nice bed of ice and go down perfectly paired with a dirty martini.

Saundra R.

Yelp
A place we love to celebrate the milestones in life with friends or just us. Tonight was just us We were greeted by a young woman at the door. Absolutely charming! Blonde with a ponytail; unfortunately we didn't catch her name. We dined at the bar, which is our usual. The gentlemen at the bar & young woman that served our food made us feel like we were "home". Love that the music & TV's are never so loud you can't hear each other. Subtle background music is perfect! Food was delicious but there were a couple of confusing moments. If the broiled oysters were a bit bigger & had more "juice" they would have been a solid 10. The jerk calamari was an ample sized dish which we shared. Presentation was on point. It was served almost room temperature. Would have been amazing if it was served hot. Had the fries...smokin' hot!! Big points! If they were truffled with a sprinkle of Parmesan we could have died & gone to heaven. Fried calamari was good as usual but we really miss the mango salsa. Last, the bread was to die for! We had 2 servings. Puffed quinoa?!! Don't know how you do that but with the spices, olive oil & served so hot you have to wait a sec (we didn't!). Overall, another enjoyable night at Jax! Love this place!

Cassandra C.

Yelp
We managed to snag last minute reservations here this Valentine's Day and enjoyed their pre fixed menu. I added on their wine pairing for I think $32 which meant a glass with appetizer, entree and dessert. The wines were really good! The ambiance is fun with a bar going down the middle of the restaurant. The food was just fine - I didn't love all the items we had and felt the seafood portions were smaller than expected. Would give them another try for good service.

Vajrang V.

Yelp
You know you're in for a good time when a joint boasts an oyster bar and a fish house all under one roof. Jax Fish House and Oyster Bar is a seafood oasis that'll make you forget you're landlocked in the heart of the Midwest. The ambiance is very bustling and cozy with the seafood presented fresh in front. I was hooked the moment I stopped by for their happy hour (3:30-5) and slurped down those $2 oysters as if my life depended on it. They were fresher than the prince of Bel-Air and packed a salty punch that could make a sailor blush. I even had to pause to appreciate the oyster shooters, a delightful concoction that made me wonder if I could survive solely on the power of seafood-fueled adrenaline. As if that wasn't enough, Jax throws down the gauntlet with their fried New England calamari and hush puppies. I'm pretty sure the calamari was fried by Poseidon himself, because it was so tender it practically whispered sweet nothings to my taste buds- the mojo sauce with their sweet/spicy sauce was fire. The hush puppies were like little pillows of joy, so comforting I half expected them to pat me on the back and tell me everything's gonna be alright. But then, just when I thought things couldn't get any more bonkers, they hit me with the panang curry hot oyster. I wasn't sure if it was a seafood dish or a secret potion for immortality, because one bite and I felt like I could conquer the world--oyster in one hand, and a determination to take over the universe in the other. Jax Fish House and Oyster Bar, you have officially reeled me in like a hapless fish, and I'm gladly wriggling on your hook for more.

Rosalia T.

Yelp
Excelente servicié Oysters on the Half Clam ChowderShell I definitely happy with this place...

Joe H.

Yelp
Hirriblectske out service. We spent over $150 on delivery, and the entire order was wrong, we called both Doordash and Jax and they both kept pointing the finger at eachother. We have ordered from Jax alot in the past, but I doubt we will order from them again. Horrible accountability and they did not make our experience right...HORRIBLE customer service...we pass on this restaurant

Jenny C.

Yelp
From the hostess to the waiter, we definitely had a 5 star experience. Started out with the calamari and loved the sauce that came with it. We ordered the old fashioned to drink and it was absolute perfection. The lobster rolls were amazing so was the lobster pasta. We rounded out dinner with an apple cobbler. Definitely will be back. Thanks for a great night.

Joanna C.

Yelp
We came here for the pre fix valentines course. We came earlier than our reservation and they were happy to seat us early! The pre fixe menu was pretty good, I think there were many things on there that are not on the normal menu so it was good to try. The pre fixe menu had options which I enjoyed. We started with the oysters. We got a dozen ousters total, 4 of each of the three kinds our server recommended. The oysters are the freshest I have had in Colorado so definitely worth coming here if you like oysters. We got the Emersum (very crisp and clean), the Midnight bay (least favorite of the three, briniest), and the Kumamoto (smallest and most expensive - I would still recommend trying). All of the food was overall delicious and exceeded my expectations. My only complaint is that the server didn't ask how we wanted the steak and it came out very rare and chewy. We aren't too picky, but if we are paying $85 for the meal we would expect our steak to be cooked how we'd like. Another thing that was annoying was that they ran out of multiple things on the menu. I think this place is pretty good and good for special occasions because it is on the expensive side.

Laura R.

Yelp
The star of the show was a special called the charbroiled oysters. These were phenomenal. The other star was the house mocktail which was a cucumber spritz with notes of mint and lime. While most places grossly overcharge for mocktails, this was reasonably priced at only $6. We had The Hook which was a seafood platter that included two types of crab, shrimp and oysters. The shrimp were shelled and heavily seasoned. The flavor of the seasoning was fine, but made a huge mess that required multiple napkins to prevent transfer of the seasoning to the other shellfish. I enjoyed their house mignonette for the oysters. Neither of us cared for the lobster Mac and cheese. The cheese tasted odd and left a weird aftertaste in our mouth. I am a mac and cheese fanatic and stopped eating this after two bites. Our server was wonderful and all the staff jumped in to help if they passed by and saw a plate needed to be cleared. The ambiance was great. We sat at a high top table near the oyster bar. The sound absorption allowed us to speak at a normal volume and hear one another clearly. Overall, I prefer Jaxx for happy hour oysters over a sit down dinner.

Loc N.

Yelp
The oysters are so fresh and delish. I highly recommend the catfish. The service was great.

Jason M.

Yelp
Good, service and atmosphere were top notch. Thanks for having us..we'd definitely recommend the deck.

Maryann C.

Yelp
My colleagues and I came to Jax's for dinner since it was across the street from our hotel and very convenient. The menu looked very tasty right away and we all had trouble deciding what to get. But the good thing was that we all left happy with our choices! We were seated immediately (4 of us on a Wednesday evening) and our server was attentive (I can't recall his name but it was a young man ... maybe Zack). The drink menu had something for everyone, and the Jax's strawberry lemonade was delicious (although it was so delicious I wonder if it had enough alcohol in it lol). Enjoyed my grilled shrimp & trofie pasta bowl as well. Overall no complaints. 5 stars just because nothing particularly blew me away but I would happily dine here again!

Chris H.

Yelp
The food was excellent. I have been to both Denver locations and Kansas City locations. I love the peel shrimp and snow crabs. Sat upstairs which was nice on a hot day. They have a bar upstairs.

Marlan M.

Yelp
Excellent selection of seafood entrees. Preparation will first rate as well with nice wine selection. Comfortable Atmosphere for Casual Conversation.

Taplino D.

Yelp
Never EVER going back to this place! This is my 3rd time visiting this restaurant. Today currently at 5:30pm on 6/5/23 the 2 bartenders decided to start a conversation about race & how black people sound stupid like I was not sitting right there! Another customer decided to chime in & talk down on black culture like I was a ghost. I just decided to keep my mouth shut, keep my tip; & leave this review. They completely ruined my birthday by the way. Thank you!

We came to this place during a weekend trip to Denver. Was looking for a chill place to hangout with friends and some good drinks. This place delivered on all the above! First the ambiance. The decor was modern and chic. Love places that has no nonsense decor and this is one of the few places that I really liked. The service was excellent. We ordered a few oysters and drinks. The chargrilled oysters did not disappoint - they were spicy, a good kick. The drinks were amazing! I would highly recommend vieux care. Though you would not go wrong with any drink here! Will definitely come back here on our next trip to Denver!

Yelp
Had a really great time with my family, easy parking and great seating. Felt like I had been taken care of all evening and we really enjoyed every part of our meal. I added the receipt and as you can see not only was it good pricing but it was worth the price. Some of the best old fashions I had had in Denver and really great wedge salad. The atmosphere was very family friendly but good for dates or get together's as well. There was an upstairs I didn't see. The crabcake was perfect and the desserts were great for all four of us we shared two. You won't go wrong ....go enjoy yourself at Jax

Yelp
My sister and I had dinner here once while traveling and it is now my favorite restaurant ever. Our waitress Alexa was the best waitress I've ever had, and the food was 100x better than Ruth's Chris. Now I'm just sad I live in CA and can't come here all the time haha. Cheers to your business.. you're doing all the right things. The food is cooked to perfection and I hope Alexa is still there if/when I ever travel there again.

Yelp
I had the steak, mussels and the seafood chowder. I must admit I'm picky and it takes a lot to impress my pallet. The NY strip and the sides that come with it were all a perfect marriage of bursting flavors in my mouth. I smiled the entire time while eating it. I love mussels and I was not disappointed, will have them again. I'm not a fan of chowder but I wanted to try it and I must say I was pleased with its taste, though I won't order it again, it was good, but it could have been great if the okra was cooked, if the fish was not dry and the cocktail shrimp was not ice cold. I will definitely dine here again. Everyone I encounter was pleasant and accommodating. The interior was very nice and clean, perfect lighting and low noise.

Yelp
Don't waste your money, go to Red Lobster. Go to Long John Silvers. Go anywhere but Jax in Glendale. I had the Line Raw Bar Platter for $110. 12 small oysters were OK, the shrimp were over-cooked mush and had not been shelled or deveined, the snow crab cocktail isn't snow crab, but the icing in the cake was the horrible stuff served in a can (see photo) that they try to pawn off as spiced squid. When challenged, the waiter came back and said it was actually tuna. For $35 of the $110 platter - made them give me a credit. Totally over-priced and worse, it's badly prepared. I lived in Boston, and I know what seafood should taste like. This isn't it.

Yelp
Had dinner for 3 on Saturday night and it was not very busy. We had the worst service I've encountered in a long time. One waiter took our drink order, brought the wrong drink and told us he was going to wait on a larger table and left; it went downhill from there. Our table was never cleared of dirty dishes, no one ever checked on us and we had to hunt someone down to get the check. Our dinners did not arrive together. We waited for about 15 minutes after the rest of the food was served before the crab legs arrived. They were about as far from fresh as possible. To pay over $225 for dinner and be ignored is totally unacceptable. We will not be back.

Yelp
Last night I had dinner at JAX Glendale and it was a delightful experience- it started with Brittany accommodating me with my favorite table. I then had the pleasure of being served by two wonderful servers, Caroline and Alexandria! One thing on note was the house made seasonal Sangria - so delicious and refreshing- I could have drank a gallon! Great food and ambience!!!
