"Indian food continues to grow in popularity in Jacksonville, with new restaurants highlighting the diverse cuisine opening around town. One that’s established a loyal fanbase around its two locations is Jax Spice. The restaurant has gained a reputation for its large menu, which includes curry, biryani, and tandoori dishes. While tikka masala is available, consider trying the unique Chettinad curry with onion and coconut base. Of course, tandoori chicken is on the menu and some of the most flavorful chicken in town." - Megan duBois

Google
Great place for Indian food they can adjust the spice heat of your food according to your taste. The service is friendly and fast. They have 5 types of Nan. The chicken tiki Marcella is full of flavor. The lamb chettinad was out of this world. The dessert Aloo partha was very sweet and tasty. It a little pricey but well worth it. If you're near Jacksonville Beach FL this is a must try place .

I really am not a fan of Indian food.... And I'm still not. The best part was the tea. The meatballs were pretty good. The lettuce wraps were ok as well. The vegetables and noodles were oily. The other dishes were ... boring at best. You pay good money too for what seemed to be 4-6 ounces of protein in a sauce with 4 people splitting two bowls of rice. Another annoyance was the inconsistency in spice. Five dishes were to be spice level 2. Two were nicely spiced, the other three had no spice at all! The service was ok, IF you can get their attention. Would have gotten another drink but refills are not on their agenda. To top it all off, it's still Jax beach. Every time I go there I have a strange and disturbing experience. This time a man came up and offered to sell me a variety of different types of drugs, all while I was waiting to park., and on, and on.... Jax beach is not for your normal middle aged person.

First time here & first time trying out Indian food and it was amazing! had a reservation for 6:30 arrived a couple minutes early and was sat down immediately! I would definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking to try something new! Ordered the butter chicken and the chicken curry both heat level 3. Our server Ali was amazing very attentive & very sweet as well!

My boyfriend and I came last night for the first time and it was truly amazing. The place was pretty busy for a Monday but the service was very good. We had to wait a good bit for our apps but it was well worth it ! Everything was fresh and delicious, we will definitely be back .

Google
JaxSpice was everything we were hoping for when searching for an Indian restaurant. The flavors, spices, and tenderness of the meats were perfect. We ordered the vegetable momo, which was very tasty and had a nice spicy kick to it. Then, we ordered the lamb and goat biryani (heat level 2) and chicken curry (heat level 3). Both dishes hit the spot perfectly. Our server was very nice and helpful as well. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean. Highly recommend!

Google
This is the best Indian food I have ever had. The butter chicken was amazing, the garlic naan was equally delicious, crisp and aromatic. I also tried mango lassi and don’t regret ordering it. It was refreshing and it complimented the meal beautifully. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the sumptuous feast. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for dining, adding to the overall experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Google
If you love Indian food, this is the place to go! It is absolutely beautiful inside, incredible service, and the food is *chef’s kiss* delectable! Entrees are shareable proportions.

Yelp
Connor was great-tea was always full! Gluten free enjoyed a delicious appetizer and tandoori chicken with basmati rice, the non gf person who joyed the cheese garlic naan. Portion sizes are HUGE, prices are appropriate, service is always wonderful! Come hungry, leave happy!!

Charlotte P.

Yelp
It's been a minute since I enjoyed a meal at Jax Spice. As I write I am asking myself why! The good, the service, the bartenders and staff are so awesome! I love the cocktails and especially the spicy margarita. Thanks for a great evening

Yelp
Indian food right by the beach?! YES! We went for lunch to JaxSpice. I thought we were cutting it close since lunch closes at 2:30pm, and I got there around 2pm. But the staff was friendly to let us come in and eat and stay as long as we'll want. The interior is modern, they have lots of seating inside along with bar seating as well. The menu is on an iPad which is cool and I've never seen. The food is DELICIOUS! They spice level is from a scale of 1-6, we ordered at least a 4 which was the perfect level. Definitely recommend the Gobhi Manchurian, butter chicken, and ALL the drinks cause they look so good! This is a restaurant I will be going back to in the future!

Yelp
What a great find in Jaxbeach. Just a short block from the ocean. What could be better than delicious Indian food near the beach? My husband and I are here visiting with friends that live in Jacksonville. They recently found this gem and told us about it. We were excited to go try it. When we walked in, we were greeted by Ryan. He seated us and we proceeded to tell him ALL about our food restrictions and preferences. My husband and I are vegan, and our friends eat gluten free and sugar fee. Ryan said:"No Problem"! He immediately made recommendations for each of us and no one was disappointed. The appetizer was out before we knew it. It was hot and crunchy and not at all greasy. We all loved it. For main dishes we tried 4 different entrees. One was tandoori chicken, a chickpea in a yogurt sauce, Baigen bharta, a spinach and tofu dish and an amazing spinach dish. Each was superb. As we were enjoying our food Ryan wanted us to taste one more dish and brought us a different spinach dish with chicken peas. That too was amazing. Once we were done we realized that we would have enough for another meal. Ryan helped us pack it all up and also added more rice so we surely would all have plenty to eat for another meal. Don't miss this great find near the beach. They also have a 2nd location in St John's. Can't wait to visit them there too. The restaurant is large and they do take reservations. You can also book on open table. They also have a full liquor license.

Yelp
Review is for delivery.. what a surprise! The goat biryani was stellar.. nan was quite good.. I had expected the Kathmandu chicken to be more flavorful( based on the reviews) but it was above average. The portions are huge and delivery was on time.

Yelp
Hungry, road-weary, and in from out of town on a Friday night when the loveliest of smells caresses our noses. The delightfull smells wafting from JaxSpice. Dinner solved! We enjoy a lot of Indian and Nepalese food and have a set of "staples" that we order for our first visit at a new restaurant. Tonight that meant chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, garlic naan, pass on chicken mommi as deep fried only), and mango lassi. Ambiance is good, but very loud (busy night combined with club music) - low lighting, but still bright enough to see your dinner partner and your food. Staff was friendly, but haggard even at mid-service. It felt like there may have been some glassware shortages in the kitchen. A good mix of guest tables (2 to 10 tops). Food, though, was slow moving out of the kitchen. Time from seated (pretty quick) to served for us was an hour and several minutes (longer than expected wait to order, longer yet for the food to arrive in comparable situations). When the food did arrive, we were past being hungry. Tandoori was good. The tikka was a bit on the sweet side and not as hot as we had expected (3 on a scale of 5 cam.put as a 2). The meal might have been very tasty had in arrived when we were ravenous. Things to know: * Parking is tight, but roof parking for guests is available and is a good option. * Spice levels are wobbly - a level of 3 got us a 2. * Dine with an open evening.

Yelp
We know the quality Indian food because of our friends and family and this is not it. Good ambiance and great service but this is not a good indian food at all, especially the vegetarian food. They have a lot variety but taste sucks. We love Masala.

Bella A.

Yelp
Amazing food - Amazing service - Special thanks to ally for their hospitality! I always bring family and friends to this spot

Yelp
The Chicken KTM (Kathmandu Chicken) should be one of the most popular dishes. I'm surprised it isn't more recommended on Yelp. If I had ordered that my rating might be higher, but I only had some of my coworker's. I myself had the chettinad curry with chicken, which is a coconut curry. It was ok but definitely not the best choice in comparison with the chicken KTM. I love this kind of curry with lamb at other places but it missed the mark here, maybe it'd be better with lamb but I didn't love the chicken breast and thought it could have more flavor. I didn't go with lamb since it was lunchtime and I wanted something light. The samosas were pretty good, but the star of the dish was definitely the tamarind chutney. The garlic naan was good as well. The service was good, they were attentive and offered extra rice with our dishes.

Bobbie T.

Yelp
We met a friend at JaxSpice recently. The restaurant is located a few blocks off Jacksonville Beach. The inside decor could use a refresher but the food was amazing. There is no lunch menu. We decided to do more family style and thank goodness we did instead of ordering individual entrees. The portions are huge! We started out with the vegetable samosas. They were tender on the inside and a nice crust on the out. We also had the vegetable pakora. Basically this is fried veggie fritters. They were tasty. The side sauces (mint and tamarind) were amazing. They have a tamarind tree apparently and make it from scratch. Delicious!! We all (three) shared the lamb vindaloo and chicken biryani. We got a spice level of five on the vindaloo and four on the biryani. The five was very spicy. I loved it. It might be too much for most, however. It came with a great yogurt sauce to cook you down. The lamb was tender and very tasty. The biryani was full of flavor and the heat level was very tolerable. We added a side of garlic naan that was also very generous. We were pleased with both entrees. The service was friendly enough. He seemed a bit rushed. He did answer all questions and responded to everything we needed. Overall, portions are huge. We were all able to take something home. It's some of the best Indian food I've had in a while. Watch your spice level if you're sensitive. Enjoy! Cheers!

Josalyn E.

Yelp
first time coming to this place but it was very quiet and peaceful inside. Our waiter was very polite and asked if we had ever been there before, the food was phenomenal. Very fresh and delicious flavor.. cheese naan bread was spectacular I'm not even exaggerating will be coming back !!

Joanna P.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Everything was delicious, spice levels were perfect and service was excellent! Portions are large enough to share. Our server was Alicia and her knowledge and recommendations were very helpful! This is a must stop for anyone who loves Indian food. We can't wait to come back!

Liv A.

Yelp
A MUST VISIT IN JAX!!!! The best Indian food ever. Everything is cooked to perfection & just the right amount of spicy. I love the chicken tikka & all their nans. Service is the best around. Inside the restaurant they have a full bar and a low lit comfortable atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend if you like Indian food this is the place for you.

Yelp
Sorry to say we're having a very disappointing night here at Jax Spice. We've been coming here since they opened. We've even met the owners who live in our neighborhood. We arrived around 7pm on a Saturday night. We were promptly seated and we placed our order. Other than our very delicious appitizer which came out about 50 minutes ago with our drinks, we haven't seen our server or our food. It's now 8:25 pm. We've been sitting here for over an hour. We're not the only ones. We're hungry and cranky and we've been waiting way too long for our meal which I'm assuming doesn't take long to make. I know all the excuses on hiring and staff but I really don't care. Our entrees each cost in the high 20s we did sides and an appitizer plus drinks. I'm sure our check with our usual 20% tip will come to around $100 or so. This place obvious has some operational issues and maybe one place to look at is the carry out orders flying out the door which I'm thinking might take priority over those of us dining in. I hope they figure it out because the food is good but nothing is worth the frustration of waiting this long for a meal. There stars is generous tonight and it might be some time before we're back. *****Update***** Our food eventually came and as expected, it was phenomenal. I would also share the management reached out to me and acknowledged their challenges last night and apologized. They didn't make excuses and they promised to make it right, so I have adjusted my review accordingly based on their quick and appropriate response. Things don't always go well and hopefully last night was a fluke, but it's nice when a business owns their challenges and takes responsibility as they have here. We'll definitely go back.

Yelp
Amazing Indian food in Jacksonville!! I loved the modern vibe in here. We came in for lunch and started off with their cocktails - I love that they were themed as Indian movies like "Devdas" and "Jab We Met", and the cocktails were actually really good! For appetizers, we got the gobhi Manchurian and the chicken 65, both were perfectly flavored and came out really fast. And for entrees, we got 2 garlic naans (8 pieces), butter chicken, and daal and everything was so so good. We ordered spice level 4 out of 6 and it was just right for spice lovers. And the portion sizes were huge so we had a ton of leftovers. We also loved the service, our waitress was so friendly and always checked in on us. We were the only ones there as they were closing up after lunch but we didn't feel any pressure to leave, they made us feel at home. This is one of the best Indian restaurants I've had in a while! Highly recommend.

K S.

Yelp
Had friends come in from Texas and they wanted to try some Indian food. JaxSpice is so spicy in more ways than one. There is a dish for every one here and the drinks and service is "Johnny on the spot". our server Alicia is super professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this outstanding restaurant.

Patti C.

Yelp
A favorite local spot where you can get your spice on! We love sharing dishes and even mixing some to create your own flavor! Be sure to order lots of naan for all that good dipping! Staff are friendly and service generally quite good but if they are full with larger parties you can wait a bit. Usually can have conversation at your table without too much noise issue.

James J.

Yelp
Food was a bit disappointing. The dish I got was chicken in a sauce and it was just chunks of tough chicken in a sauce. My wife's dish was similar. The garlic Nan was very good, and the apps were tasty. Service was excellent. We took leftovers home and just tossed them the next day. There are much better Indian restaurants in town, and being somewhat of a foodie I'll get my Indian fix somewhere else. I did speak to an Indian friend about Jax Spice and she really didn't like it.

Sai C.

Yelp
Went to Jax Spice for New Year's Eve with some friends. The ambiance was nice and light, place stayed very busy and there were 14 of us so getting reservations was a very good idea. They had indian themed alcoholic cocktails which many people from my party ordered. For the most part it seemed like they were underwhelming. There was only one bartender so the drinks were coming at random points of the dinner. The spiked mango lassi seemed the best one to order. I personally did not get anything this time since I just wanted to stick to water. In terms of food - we got shahi paneer, butter chicken, chicken 65, samosa chaat, chicken tikka masala, bhindi masala, Gobi Manchurian, garlic naan, and bullet naan! We got everything on a 3 out of 6 spice scale which had a kick but was the perfect amount of spice for us! If you have a lower tolerance to spice, I would def let the kitchen staff and waiter know and maybe go for a 1. One group ordered level 2 and 3 and they do not handle spice well and looked like they were taking a second shower in the restaurant. The curries were very authentic and very flavorful and the naan bread was cooked to perfection. I love garlic naan and would recommend getting extra portions. My friends really loved the bullet naan so we got couple of orders of that which was also very tasty. Since we had a lot of food, we actually did not end up getting dessert there. But next time I visit I will definitely try the dessert and give feedback on that. Overall I am not a big indian restaurant person because they typically tend to underwhelm on the flavor profile where it is too bland but I enjoyed it here and will be back when I am in the area. If the desserts are good and makes up for the drinks, I would update this place to 5/5.

Milad H.

Yelp
THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! They couldn't care less about the terrible service. The waiters and waitresses literally look you in the eye and avoid you. You sit there patiently for over 1 and a half hours (yes you read it correctly!) to get a lukewarm glass of water. We walked out and will never ever come back, and will make sure no one from our community does. If they can't manage the business and provide the bare minimum service, they should just shut it down, or at least don't accept any reservations. It's not customers' problem that you take more orders than you can manage. And yes, we did complain to the manager, who couldn't care less.

David V.

Yelp
I have been to India. I know what Indian food tastes like. This.... This was the best I have ever had. That's saying a lot. Get the lamb. You have to get the lamb. Wow.

Jill W.

Yelp
Amazing wait staff. Is it the best Indian in town? Not by a long shot, but it is the only one writhing 20 minutes if the beaches. It is pricy and there is no lunch menu. All that being said, I've been there a number of times. It is good. Not great. But good enough to return to. The portions are large enough for 2-3 people to share. I recommend the cheesy naan. Yum.

Tia Y.

Yelp
We love Indian food and was happy to find a great place in JAX. The service was phenominal from the host, waiter, and busser. Everyone was so friendly and we very much enjoyed our lamb meatballs and butter chicken with naan and rice. Very flavorful and authentic. Their drinks are fun and a spicy twist. Highly recommend and a reservation is a must here!

Tyrica Y.

Yelp
Authentic Indian food with a modern twist. The restaurant is simple with little to no decor but our waiter was very attentive and explained the menu in great detail. The menu had pictures which made it much easier to order if you unfamiliar with Indian cuisine. We ordered saag with chicken, korma with lamb, and garlic naan. Everything was delicious; however, next time I will ask to hold the raisins in korma. You can select your heat level from 0 to 5, choose carefully because it can get spicy. The time from ordering and food being delivered to the table took awhile; hence the 4 stars.

Marqus R.

Yelp
Being on Third Street, JaxSpice is a little off the well travel track of Jacksonville Beach but remains very popular amongst locals. The menu items are nicely varied and complete with heavy leanings on Indian cuisine and influences with such items as Tadaka Daal, Bhindi Marsala, a boneless marinate Methiwali Kali Murge chicken, and a sundry of other dishes. Indeed, this is full-fledged restaurant food; not bar food. JaxSpice is a large spacious space and can easily accommodate private events, so no worries about being too crowded. On Mondays, it's closed and on other days only open until 10 PM. The service I had was pleasant, friendly and professional and the Cucumber Martini was of a decent pour of cucumber vodka, St. Germain, agave and muddled cucumber; very good. As for food, I only had their appetizer of Lamb Meat Balls which came in a delicious curry sauce that paired so well with the flavors of lamb.

Sagarika G.

Yelp
OMG!!! Went to Jax Spice for New Year's Eve with some friends and let me tell you... this is one of the best Indian foods I've EVERRR had!! IT WAS INSANEELY DELICIOUS!!! There were 14 of us so getting reservations was a very good idea given they were very busy! We all orders alcoholic drinks - I got the cucumber margarita but it was WAYYY too sweet and didn't have any toppings or garnish. The cucumber flavor was there but it wasn't as refreshing as I expected. Everyone else was also very underwhelmed with their alcoholic drinks. In terms of food - we got shahi paneer, chicken tikka masala, bhindi masala, Gobi Manchurian, garlic naan, and bullet naan! We got everything on a 3 out of 6 spice scale which had a kick but was the perfect amount of spice for us! The curries were soooo good! Very authentic and very flavorful! The bullet naan was out of this world!! The garlic naan was greasy and crispy and yummy! The naans were very small and light so would recommend getting extras! All the food also came with rice! The bhindi masala absolutely stole the show!!! It was so tangy and spicy and crispy but also soft! LOVEDD IT!! Would 100000% go back again for the food! If the drinks were better, I would've given this a 5/5

Ian D.

Yelp
I did take out. The food was ready on time. I ordered through their website. The lamb was clearly overcooked, extremely tough and chewy. The curry was essentially flavorless, zero spice to it at all. Part of breading of the samosas were undercooked, also zero spice to it. I felt like I was eating watered down Italian food. The saddest Indian food experience I have ever had. Avoid if you have had good Indian food before.

Sushant G.

Yelp
Oh Shit!! I seldom start my reviews with profanity, but I was left with no choice. Ordered Saag w/o Paneer, Garlic naan w/ side of rice. Food was finger licking good! I'm talking authentic food like it was made at a Punjabi Dhaba! The portions were generous and if I'm being honest may be too generous Leigeh (waiter) was super courteous and prompt and deserves a raise! It's really the people in any business that allows it to fail or succeed. So, JaxSpice owner, consider giving a raise to Leigeh. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!!

Tara G.

Yelp
Still one of my favorite restaurants. We arrived right when they opened so we were the only ones there. The restaurant was freshly cleaned and we were seated right away. We went with the fried paneer, cheese naan, butter chicken, and chicken chettinad. It was served with rice as well. We went with medium spice and it was perfect. You can taste the heat but it wasn't burning your taste buds. As suggested, we dipped the naan in both of the sauces and it was so delicious. We could not finish all of it so we packed it up to go. Our server sent us home with a fresh container full of rice as well. That was really nice of him. Service was amazing and so was the food. I'm sure we will return. While all was delicious, the butter chicken is our fave! Attached pictures of the menu again. I may be wrong but I think some of the prices may have changed so these prices are as of 5/20/22

Yelp
Delicious Indian cuisine next to Jacksonville beach with an upscale atmosphere. MANGO LASSI: a mango yogurt milk drink. This is my daughter's go-to drink at Indian restaurants. JaxSpice's version was best that I have enjoyed at a restaurant! VEGETABLE SAMOSA: Crispy fried pastry stuffed with potatoes and peas. I recommended this appetizer. Comes with two large pastries. They can be cut in half if sharing. -------------------- We ordered and thoroughly enjoyed our three favorite Indian entrees: LAMB KORMA: Thickened rich creamy onion sauce, blended with house spices. You can choose your meat but we always go for the lamb. CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA: Tomato-based creamy curry with house-blended spices. The tomato cream sauce was wonderful! BUTTER CHICKEN: Chicken strips in butter gravy masala sauce with house spice blended to perfection. I mean how can you go wrong with a buttery curry? ROTI: we opted for this whole wheat bread instead of the white Naan. The roti didn't come with butter. I found it to be a little dry. I'd go for buttered Naan next time. WINE: They have a nice wine cellar with a window wall, which Is something I am not accustomed to seeing in an Indian restaurant. I normally order beer instead of wine when enjoying strongly flavored current dishes.

Sami K.

Yelp
Excellent! I went there late so the rice wasn't the best possible but the butter chicken was.

Kathlyn Joy J.

Yelp
Our go to Indian restaurant. Everything taste good and the service was good also. We got vegetable samosa with the dipping sauce of tamarind sauce and spicy sauce. Theyre pretty big and 1 per person is enough to start with actually made us full after having one samosa. First time trying the chicken biryani and it was good. There's a lot of chicken pieces inside the rice. And my go to dish is chicken korma, always the best and the servings was pretty big there's always left over for the next day. Highly recommended.

JaneAnne F.

Yelp
JaxSpice is our favorite place for Indian food in Jacksonville!!! When they are busy it's pretty loud so don't expect an intimate date night! They have a great wait staff and top notch bartenders! The food is delicious! My favorite appetizer is the chicken lettuce wraps spice level 3. We have tried lots of their main dishes however I usually pick shrimp as my protein and usually get the vegetables too in the Tiki Marsala sauce. Honestly, you can't go wrong and if you need direction the wait staff can always help out! Give JaxSpice a try. You won't be disappointed.

Grace T.

Yelp
delicious food, very friendly service 10/10 recommend. slay all day! the shrimp and veggies were immaculate, the chicken tikka masala was delicious. The samosas were a 12/10. Drinks also a 12/10.

Lynnea B.

Yelp
Located in Jax beach, Jax spice is a hit! We were greeted by a lovely hostess who sat us down as soon as we walked in. To start, we ordered the bullet naan. The balance between the refreshing herbs and spices warmed up our tastebuds for our meal. For my entrée, I had the lamb chops which were coated in a traditional Indian spice blend. This flavor was unique and exciting. The dish came with seasonal vegetables on the side that accompanied the spice of the lamb in perfect harmony. My only complaint is the lamb was slightly chewy. Other than that, our server was attentive and considerate. Overall, this experience was pleasant and I would recommend Jax spice to a friend!

Keith C.

Yelp
We made a reservation but arrived early and was seated right away.It took 15 minutes for someone to come take our order . We waited 45 minutes before our food arrived. Our waiter Pat never came back to the table to check on us . My mother in law had to ask another waiter for salt and a coke . She only received the salt after asking twice My wife had to go ask the bartender for a coke.. I will say the food was good . The service was poor . Pat needs more training. The service made the experience two stars . The manager was gracious when she gave us a discount to make up for the poor service.

Sara L.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to try Jax Spice. I went to culinary school and am very particular on restaurants and this one did not disappoint. The waitress was attentive and the service was great. The menu was traditional to Indian food, which I love. We tried the chicken lettuce wraps, tika masala and butter chicken. All the food was fresh, hot and chicken was perfectly cooked. Spices used were amazing. I also recommend their garlic naan! This will be our new monthly date night spot!

Marianne L.

Yelp
The food is amazing. The wait staff is friendly and the service is always terrific. We love to be here again and again a must visit

Dawn D.

Yelp
I love Indian food in again another go to Place in jacksonville Beach. We always usually get it to go The food is hot and delicious. they always are on time with our order.

Yelp
St John Location of JaxSpice NOW OPENand FABULOUS! We were so excited to see this wonderful restaurant open in our back yard of Nocatee! Very relaxing, open restaurant with nice views of outside, patio seating coming soon. Vegetable Pakora, Garlic Naan & Chicken Tikka Masala (enough for 2) was super delicious. We were lucky enough to have the owner wait on us, Puja, who is so friendly and goes out of her way to make sure we were happy with everything, which we were. Added bonus for today & tomorrow... liquor license is not in yet, so bring your own wine to enjoy with your spectacular dinner. This place will be a hot commodity in this area, even if you are not used to going to an Indian Restaurant, please give this restaurant a try. You are going to have another amazing GoTo restaurant Thanks for coming to the Nocatee area!!

George J.

Yelp
Service when sitting at the bar was very good Vegetable Pakora was excellent Veg Samosa could have been crisper Chicken Tika Masala was above average Overall an above average Indian restaurant

Precious R.

Yelp
Amazing place and love the vibe. I have been twice now and it's been good every time. In my opinion one meal is enough for two people. I usually get butter chicken, mango lassi with rum, and cheese naan

Beulaira B.

Yelp
Delicious ! This place is always my fav Unfortunately we could not make a reservation in time but they squeezed us in. We had a party of 7 and the waiter did and a good job. The food took longer than expected but boy was it worth the wait. I will be back again and again

Mark K.

Yelp
This is a good restaurant, one makeover away from being a great restaurant. What gives it that potential is the superb food. However, at the moment, there are problems detract from that. The service is friendly but rushed. The entire order, appetizers and main course, was practically brought out all at once. Most importantly though, there's almost no ambience here. The stone floors and hard walls make it EXTREMELY LOUD! And there are TV screens everywhere, because the bar takes up the whole length of the restaurant. So it's a very overstimulating environment -- not a place for a quiet or romantic dinner. In fact, probably shouldn't eat here unless you drink and would therefore drown out the noise and all the TVs. The LOUD bar kind of atmosphere seems to make it quite popular. Fyi the decor doesn't have any character of being an Indian restaurant. All of this is most unfortunate because the food is excellent. You kind of have to be part of a certain kind of crowd though--young, loud, drinking. Otherwise, go for takeout!

Yelp
Best Indian food in NE Florida! The food is amazing. The people, ambiance and service has never been less than great! And the portions are huge. We always have good for the next day if that's your thing lol.

Yelp
Outstanding service, five stars. However it's their food that will keep you coming back. Never been disappointed. Submitting this review four hours after leaving Jax Spice. Left overs in fridge, great family time, my stomach and taste pallets very happy.

Yelp
One of the best Indian restaurants in Jax, the flavors are not consistent but are never bad. I always go for the Tadka Dal and Chana Masala with Roti and samosas. Many vegan options.

Yelp
Wowzer, high tech, the menus were electronic (iPads or tablets!) Delicious! I had something new (to me)...Kadhai, "Thick curry with onion, bell pepper, tomatoes blended" I added chicken which came in good sized chunks. Hubby got the Buttered Chicken, a gorgeous red color. Both were delicious, his chicken was in strips...my chicken was a tad dry, but seasoned remarkably. The rice is unlimited, tender & fluffy. A gent in our business meeting suggested Jazspice as it was just up the street & said "You won't be disappointed" He was right! This apparently is a new location, so I'll have to be sure & bookmark their Nocatee location south of here too! Oh & the garlic Nann was awesome - big bubbles, cooked great w a touch of char that made it perfect

Yelp
Talk about an EXPLOSION of flavor! I'm not gonna lie - I am a wimp when it comes to spicy food but I do enjoy it so bear in mind I stuck with the level one spice, although we had a decent sized party and was able to try the other dishes and spice levels. Our server was great and he made some awesome recommendations. They even had a happy hour on a... Wait for it... Saturday! Our sever even came right before happy hour ended to see if we wanted to put in a round of drinks before it was over, splendid! My only complaint is that it was a bit hot in this restaurant. Not sure if the A/C was broken or that's just how it is but the food and service made up for it.

Yelp
We really enjoy the food here. We don't live in the area, but I have business every three weeks up near the restaurant so I frequently will pick up food to take home. Our standard dishes are goat curry, Indian hot and Saag Paneer, mild plus. Hubby loves his goat curry! He makes yum yum sounds the entire time he is eating it. But beware, it is very hot! He likes his food very hot and he really enjoys this. I enjoy the saag paneer. I changed to paneer because the chicken saag always seem to be a little overcooked for me. I am definitely happier with the paneer version. We have also had their chicken 64 appetizer, and it is excellent! Our friends have served it to us over waffles for breakfast! Holy cow! It is awesome! I highly recommend this restaurant.
