"This former Big Boy now pulls fresh-baked pitas from the oven and serves Mediterranean gyros, homemade soups, and an all-day breakfast menu packed with classics. To pair, the beverage menu offers coffee drinks and bright and bold cocktails with decadent garnishes." - Courtney Burk

Had the opportunity to stop in to Jay Jay's Bistro on Long Lake Road in Troy for a photoshoot. Owner Mike, Chef John, and Expos Pilar and Marcelino were accommodating, friendly, and attentive. The decor looked newly remodeled with lots of nice brick, stone, wood, and neon lighting with some great pink accenting in the former "patio" section of this building which you could tell was a former Big Boy Restaurant. All of the food came out smelling great, hot, and looked delicious! This restaurant is unique in that it has a wide menu selection focusing on breakfast, Middle Eastern and Lebanese food, as well as American favorites - something for everyone. If you are around Troy, Rochester Hills, or Sterling Heights, stop in and give them a taste!

Nothing about this place makes me want to come back. The soup was thick and didn’t seem like it was made in house. Like something that’s from a freezer bag and was boiled down. The entrees were okay but nothing that pulls your attention. We got one cup of water and didn’t see our waiter again til we got the bill. Maybe it was just the day i was there but there was a scent to the place I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Not repelling but not pleasant either. Parking is easy with handicap spots.

I've only ever gotten the "combo for 3", it is really great quality and you get a lot. Chicken shwarma here is the best, not salty. The beef shwarma is very lean and not as spiced up, as some places. Love the cream chop. Salads are really good, especially the Greek. Very clean inside. Nice big TV screens. Very nice staff, very friendly. Service is sometimes slow. Also, 2 out of 3 times, I've had to ask for garlic, mediterranean mix, and pita bread. I think waitresses were new, or just forgot. Hopefully that was the case. Take out has been great. This is my favorite mediterranean food, it is a little out of my area, but worth the drive!

Amazing place! They have some bread and garlic dip that is free and it is amazing. The food is good and there’s so many options. If I lived here I would try all the dishes. Will be coming back if in the area. There are clean bathrooms and the ambiance is great. They were playing drake and it was such great vibes. You need to come here! You won’t regret it. There’s something for everybody here! The breakfast menu is available for way longer than you’d expect. We went at around 4pm and it was still there.

Love it ! The scenery was gorgeous. Went for brunch and I think that’s the perfect time to go just when the sun is hitting through the patio. Food was amazing and price was reasonable for the portions they gave us

We really enjoyed our chicken and beef shawarmas and very berry crepes. The food was delicious and our server was sweet. Very pleasant atmosphere. Also, there's a great variety in the menu - middle eastern, American, Korean, and Italian... Something for everyone. I would definitely dine there again.

We ordered the combo. All other meats were good except for the lamb. Quantity was enough. Combo covers with soup or salad. Both of them had limited options. The coffee was not so good and the lady who delivered it acted very rudely. Probably that's what made the coffee taste bad. Rest of the service was friendly. There are very limited dessert options.

Great place for brunch. I tried their Iraqi chilli fry, skillet eggs with veggies. I also tried their strawberry lemonade which was really good. It’s a bit crowded in the weekends, so I would recommend to book a table before itself. The menus has many things to choose from which I loved. The service was a bit slow though, may be because it’s crowded.
