We stopped in for a quick unplanned lunch the other day in between a busy day of stops and were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is really cute, I liked the Christmas decorations and overall look inside. Service was very nice and we loved our food. Very generous portions and everything was fresh and tasted great!

The first thing that impressed me was the biscuits and gravy. I have tried it several times at other places, and never understood why people like it so much. My cousin ordered some, I tried it and it was great!! The sausage gravy tasted homemade and needed no additional seasoning. I had French Toast with strawberries and bananas, and additional side of bacon. My dish and the food my guest ordered was perfect. Our server was great, friendly and accommodating. She patiently answered all of our questions, provided suggestions and checked on us several times. I only had two small issues. 1.. They either need a new soda fountain or throughly flush out the one they have. Soda machines have a tendency to her this carbon build up taste no matter how clean they are. 2. The temperature in the big room, it may benefit from having a space heater. Otherwise, things are great and I will return.

Update: Hit up this place for a quick lunch the other day, due to it's convenient proximity to the Corewell Troy Hospital and could not have been more pleased. The appy hummus was presented beautifully, generously portioned, and so smooth and yummy. And the warm naan was to die for!!! Kobe sliders came with just cheese, so as not to distract the palate from the taste of the lucious beef (sorry, veggie friends). The salad was fork fresh, crispy and super yummy. Dressing was light with a little kick to remind you it's there, and pieces were cut into bite size chunks, so my lunch partner and I could chat and make eye contact while eating. Do NOT miss this place!!! ❤️😊 Great middle eastern food, some reinvented. Great service, very attentive and accommodating. Loved it!! ❤️

I got brunch here for the second time yesterday, my first time being in since the renovations. I absolutely love what they've done with the place. The pink theme is so cute and picturesque. The drinks are fabulous, especially the Tiffany Blue, which I paired with the Hot Italian Benny. The service is first-rate. Our waitress was very attentive and hospitable, especially with our drinks. Plus, plenty of parking and seating is available, making this a great brunch spot!

Checked this place out for the first time and will def go back! Everything we tried was great: Biscuits & Gravy, Steak Bites, Caramel Iced Latte and Shwarma Bowl (which I forgot to take a pic of 🤦🏼‍♀️ but delish and enough food for 2-3 meals)

I came here before they closed, a time when you would expect bad service, and the service and food was amazing. The wrap was great and my friends burger was cooked well. The workers were super nice, Sophia and Marcelina especially. Would 100% recommend to other people. The handhelds are tasty and well priced.

I love this place! I had a brunch to celebrate my daughter's graduation and everything was fabulous.The staff accommodated us and honored our requests! Our servers; Sophia and Annie were great! I will definitely return! The food is 10 out of 10.Thank you!

The food here has always been great. I didn't think it tasted as good as it normally does the last time I went, but it was still good. The variety of types of food is great for a big group. The inside is cute and big, I've never had to wait. Service has always been good and quick.

I went here for mother's day, sorry late review. But I went here with my little family and my mother-in-law. We enjoyed the brunch food here. The service was fast and on point. The food was delicious and drinks were tasty. The decors was nice and I like how they gave my mother-in-law and myself each a rose.

Don't judge this place by its exterior appearance. Inside they have a large renovated space. Their menu is quite expansive and has many American and Middle Eastern fusion dishes. Their chicken and beef is all halal. The fatoosh salad with chicken shawarma was pretty good. The cheesesteak sub was just ok. The meat was a bit tough and not as flavorful as I would of liked. I'd come back to try more things on their menu.

This is by far one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. My husband and I usually don't have the best luck with restaurants, either one of us leaves disappointed or it's just not wowing us. This restaurant WOWED us. He ordered a chai tea to drink and I ordered a mango lemonade, both were astounding. We thought the prices were a bit high, but since we were on our mini-moon, we figured we'd splurge a little. Turns out, the portions are HUGE. We ordered a full plate of hummus that came with pita. The hummus was delicious! Looking back, we really shouldn't have ordered it, as our dishes were huge. I got the vodka pasta with crispy chicken, and it was some of the best pasta I've ever had. The service was super quick and friendly. We loved the aesthetic of the place on the inside, I honestly wish the outside was as beautiful to show people what they're missing. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE!

This place used to be excellent but lately has gone downhill. They used to serve hot pita bread with garlic paste. Now, they are out of it mostly all the time. The shawarma wraps are very good, the fattoush salad is yummy and fresh but it's rather pricey. Service is good, booths are comfy. Just is a bit less than it used to be.

I come here all the time for their food, every single thing on the menu is phenomenal. My family usually orders the platters from them whenever guests come over which I love. My favorite on the menu currently is their shawarma quesadilla and the Dubai chocolate crepe. Service is always amazing and friendly and the inside is such a vibe as well. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Troy!

Amazing Breakfast and Dessert Experience! I can't say enough great things about my experience at Jay Jay's Bistro. I started with the Eggs Benedict, which were absolutely perfect--rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For dessert, I had the cheesecake crepes, and let me just say, they were out of this world! Sweet, creamy, and decadent--truly a dessert to remember. Our server, Brita (apologies if I'm not spelling that correctly), was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure our meal was flawless. Her warm personality added to the great atmosphere. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food and service. Five stars all the way!

This place is nice, not expensive. Service polite and observant, Food fresh and delicious including salad croutons. My 1st time here, but I'd gladly come back. I had a soup and salad combo w chicken breast for the salad. The lentil soup was nice because it had a light kick of turmeric. I got a to-go for State House Representative candidate Aisha Farooqi. She wanted to know if their meat is Halal, and they answered Yes!

I want to start by saying that we may have come on a super busy day (New Years Day). I am not sure what is "normal" for this establishment as far as business, but that did affect the overall experience - hence only the 3 star. The server was a bit abrupt. She did warn us upon sitting down that whatever we ordered was going to take a while. She also said their bartender wasn't there, so we couldn't order any non-alcoholic drinks. The coffee did not taste good whatsoever. And our waters were barely refilled. We had to constantly ask. Our food came out within a decent time given the circumstances, but getting additional condiments and extras (ketchup, syrup, etc..) took a while. During our meal, a bartender must have arrived and we were able to order additional drinks, but they didn't end up coming until the end when we were finished. Our server even came back to the table to ask us if we canceled our own drink orders, which was kind of weird. Overall ambiance - normal tables and settings inside. The covered sunroom appeared more updated and IG-worthy. A little misleading by some of the pics on Yelp, as we thought the whole restaurant looked like that. Nonetheless it was a clean place - just loud and noisy for breakfast/brunch. Tables were pretty close together, so you can hear everyone's conversation. Plus: huge menu with a lot of variety. Halal and vegetarian options so that's an added bonus !

I loved Jay Jay's Bistro! I came here with family and enjoyed many different dishes and they were all tasty. The staff was also very friendly and fun. Here's my breakdown on what we ate: - Korean Stir Fry: "this dish was divine" according to my MIL. Had a delicious great mix of meat, veggies and sauce. - Shroom Burger: properly cooked meat (not too dry) with delicious caramelized mushrooms - Cream Chop Wrap - delicious and crunchy chops - Cajun Spicy Fettuccine Alfredo - nice twist on Fettuccine Alfredo with jalapeños - Pesto Crème Pasta I would highly recommend stopping by here and having dinner with family and loved ones!

My fiancee grew up eating here. So every time we come into town we end up stopping for food. Consistent quality. Very tasty. And the people are nice. Ambiance is average. It's nothing over the top but it isn't meant to be. It's always been clean. Service has been good 8/10

The food is really good here (I loved the lobster bisque & my friend loved her truffle fries), we liked our drinks and the restaurant is decorated nicely but the vibe here is strange. It's like they are trying to be trendy while also being a family restaurant. The customers were rude when I was there and it didn't help that the tables are way too close together. I think I need to try this place during the week and update my review but for now I will give jay jay's a 3/5.

I love everything about this place. Beautiful ambience(rustic but modern), happy welcoming BFF servers, ample spacious seating, good portion of freshly made and served food and close to home. This was my second trip to this place, definitely going to come back when want to eat hearty meal.

Great food, great tasty drinks, and decent service. I came here on a Sunday Snead 4:30/5 PM. It was jam-packed with not a single table open and maybe two or three servers. Due to it being packed, it was slower service than usual but the server was friendly and we were patient. I would highly recommend the lavender martini to start. Very subtle lavender flavor and quite delightful. The mimosa flight was cool because there are a variety of flavors to choose from (mango, strawberry, apple cinnamon, peach). The chicken quesadilla was delicious and had a Chipotle aioli on it, although it tasted sort of like a BBQ sauce. Also ordered were bowls of both lemon rice soup and spicy tortilla soup. The bowls were big and I was told the spicy tortilla soup is too spicy (I did not try it). However, the restaurant was out of sour cream for the soup. My Jay Jay fries were delicious with chicken cream chop. Will be back to try more cocktails + food.

Best breakfast in the Troy/Sterling Heights area; portions are generous but not overly large, food is delicious and options include both traditional (eggs w/meat & potatoes) and unique (red velvet French toast). The staff here is very attentive and friendly. In short, it is an undiscovered gem!

I haven't had a bad meal here yet. Everything here is always freshly made including the amazing cocktails. They have the waiters and waitresses are extremely sweet and engage in conversation. Their specials are always on point definitely try them out if you're in the area.

10/10 best food I have had is genuinely soo long!!!! Drinks were amazing service was amazing just everything was amazing! I have not a single complaint about this place generally run don't walk you would totally miss out!

I have eaten here with friends twice now & we have had a great experience! The servers are so kind & we are always jealous of each other's lunch choices because everything looks so good! I highly recommend it.

Chicken shawarma quesadilla: I wouldn't say this was a chicken shawarma quesadilla by any means, the sauce on top resembles a bbq sauce, and I didn't get that shawarma flavor, now if they swapped the aioli for garlic then I could see it but I wouldn't be getting this again. It's like a weird combination of quesadilla mixed with bbq. Chicken Greek salad: they portioned the items separately which I was super happy to see because I don't eat chickpeas so I loved that, and they have the pink Greek dressing!!! The salad was great if you're in the mood for a good Greek salad. The server who cashed me out was smiling and prompt.

Have been coming to jay jays for years, usually for lunch or dinner. Their chicken cream chop sandwich and soups are my favorite. They recently had another renovation and we checked it out for brunch. The new interior looks lovely! I had the Greek skillet, which was good but missing a sauce to deliver some much needed flavor. We also had the incredible truffle fries, and my friend's Greek salad with chicken was incredible - will definitely order this in the future! We also enjoyed the chicken and waffles and our coffee drinks. Overall jay jays has a massive menu with something for everyone!

Came here with a few friends during a Sunday and the we were seated immediately. From the outside this places looks very unassuming, but the decor inside has been renovated. The glasshouse seating is beautiful and makes for a great place for Sunday brunch photos. We ordered a variety of dishes from the chicken piccata, chicken bao buns, and cajun shrimp alfredo. I really enjoyed my chicken piccata, and the bao buns were quite delicious as well. The shrimp cajun alfredo was seasoned nicely and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. I also want to add that the portions here are MASSIVE so you'll probably still have plenty to take to go. The staff were attentive and nice. I will definitely be returning.

Stopped in on a whim after my niece's soccer game. Very modern with really cute decor. Decent menu. They've got a little bit of everything for everyone. My 13 year old niece ordered the mozzarella sticks and said they are probably the best she's had. They were soooo cheesy! My sister and I both ordered the Presto Pesto Ciabatta. Great sandwich! For $2 extra, we added the fries, which there were plenty of. My only complaint is that they were a tad on the soggy side. Maybe ordering well done would help. That would be the only thing thing that could use addressing. Waitress was pleasant and got everything right. I would definitely come back.

Went for happy hour but they no longer offer it. Drinks were expensive, pretty and tasty but packed no punch! Espresso martini was delicious. Lavender martini was good. Brussel sprouts were delicious. A little too sweet but tasty. Steak bites were ok. Mashed potatoes were good. Service was good. Nice and quick. Decor was sweet.

Tipping is a choice, not an obligation. As college students on a budget, we were just out trying to enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, our server Sophia D made us feel guilty for not tipping, saying that they only earn $3 an hour. If the wages are that low, it might be worth looking for a job that pays more fairly, customers shouldn't be made to feel responsible for that. Good service earns tips bad service doesn't. We made the right call by not tipping in this situation. It was not right for her to humiliate us in front of other customers and to even come back to our table to repeat herself. There are plenty of great restaurants in the city, support the ones that treat their customers well.

Tipping is OPTIONAL and not a requirement. We are college students just enjoying a day out, we were already on a budget but the waiter felt like we should've tipped her anyways because she gets paid $3 an hour. Find a different job if this restaurant isn't paying so well. Not to mention the waiter added on hummus to our order even though we said we didn't want anything extra except for the things that came with the platter. Tipping is optional and i'm glad we didn't tip someone like that. Support a different restaurants around the city and ignore this. Good service receives tips, not bad service.

Everything you'd want from a brunch place it delivered. We came in as a group of 10 and was seated immediately. With all of the options I was nervous about the food not being amazing but I was pleasantly surprised that everything was DELICIOUS. The drinks and the food all fit the vibe. This restaurant is definitely added to the list!

Last seating at 10:45 PM. They close tonight at 11 PM. They are open for dine in at least. It's an old Big Boy. The old smoking sunroom. The interior is modernized. It looks nice inside. Ordered the Mediterranean mix up with one meat item, the chicken kafta kabob over hummus, a Fattoush salad, no pita, a veggie gallaba with chicken over hummus, spicy. Neon: "You can't sit with us" Not too nice. Neon 2: "You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning" They do have a liquor license. Their Fattoush salad was yummy. Super fresh romaine and spinach. The dressing was real robust and had and intense flavor, nice sumac too. It could have been bI wanted a second salad after sharing and finishing the one. The chicken kafta kabob was decent, not a ton of flavor and maybe a tad dry, but still good. They have pita pockets, but they get hard after several minutes. Feels like they were maybe reheated? Their garlic sauce tastes good, but it's thick and chunky too. The veggie gallaba with chicken was quite good. So much flavor and had fresh ingredients in it, including the jalapeños. Food is good, pita and kafta is okay, needs some improvement there. Service is also good. Their hummus and gallaba is quite good.

This is one of my favorites in the whole world! It has a large range of foods from pastas to sliders! And the servers are so kind and they bring out the food fast! The whole place is just an amazing vibe and its a great place to hang out with family and friends. If you dont know what to get, you should try the spicy cajun pasta with the crispy chicken. It is so so good. I will be coming back.

Recently came back home over the holidays and I enjoyed the redesign of the place and the food usually always hits anyways. I would say they should have more staff available for the busier days as I came on a Saturday morning and it was very busy but the staff seemed a bit understaffed. Other than that I enjoyed the visit and will come back whenever I'm in town.

Finally decided to check this place out and I'm glad we did. We started with the garlic sauce and pita bread that was so good I wished we'd of ordered a larger amount. Then we split the fattoush salad that's delicious. Lastly, we split the Kobe beef sliders with truffle fries. Everything was so good and our service was friendly that I'll be sure to go back again.

Food was 7/10 Service 0/10 Never will come back, our host RITA was literally the worst. I do not recommend

I found Jay Jays on Yelp agenda looking for a new breakfast place to try with my sister. It was pretty empty inside and we were seated immediately. I'm doing dry January so I didn't partake in a cocktail but they have a full bar. Including a mimosa board that comes with 3 types of juice. I'll be back for that. I had a French vanilla ice cafe latte and it was great. Not overly sweet and full of flavor. We both ordered the veggie skillet and added sausage. I added turkey sausage and it was some of the best turkey sausage I've had in a long time. My sister also got the bananas fosters pancakes. She said they were fluffy and delicious. Jay Jays is a little out the way for me but when I'm in the area I will definitely stop in.

I loved my pasta and we also got the palomino wings without the vodka. One thing I didn't really like is they took forever to come and get out orders. I know it was busy but man. Nahhh. Another waitress was sweet she actually made our night. Also, love the decor. It's a really cute place.

The food was great and service just as good. They have different type of food. Will definitely be back to try something new!

This place is just a mile away from my parent's house and I've been coming here regularly for years. It's definitely a top spot for me in Troy to continuously visit. It's great for all meals, with the brunch menu, as well as regular lunch and dinner. They have great prices and the portions are enough for two meals. They serve a huge variety of food, from regular American food and pastas to more middle eastern cuisine. It's always worth stopping by. I personally love the kafta kabob and regularly order platters from here for my family.

Wonderful service and great menu selection. Home cooked meals. Delicious chicken schwarma and chicken cream chop fries, don't forget the garlic sauce and start off with saganaki ! Opa! I moved to Las Vegas and always crave good middle eastern inspired dishes from home. This is the hidden spot!

Love this corner neighborhood restaurant conveniently located at 18 Mi/Dequindre in Troy. Great food & wait staff with fair pricing! Jay Jay's has a very comfortable home feel to it too. A must to try!

The service sucks here. We were only drinking waters, the server came back 3 times to ask us if we wanted liquor and we said no each time, but she never brought us water refills or even asked if we needed anything. We were a party of 4 and they brought out 3 meals, leaving 1 person in the party with no food until we were all almost done eating. The waitress said the cook forgot the meal. Didn't discount it or anything. They are very very very slow with service over all. The food was decent but it is very over priced. I did enjoy the music they played it had a club vibe to it. But I prob would not come back here anytime soon.

Best customer, service, and food. What do even better than that is the atmosphere that they have created in here. It looks fantastic. They had just renovated it inside and it looks really cool. The food is awesome and you have to ask for Lisa. She is the best waitress. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful breakfast.

I went last Saturday and it was very much so packed and the service was somewhat slow. The drinks was pretty good and so was my food it wasn't really hot it was somewhat warm. I guess I have to try them A different time when it isn't so busy

This place was awesome. 10/10 recommend Rita as your server! She was on top of it and made sure we were always satisfied. The food is awesome.

Good re-use of an old Big Boy. Open and airy space. Could use a little more decoration/personality. The menu is mostly Middle Eastern in character, but there are random other things mixed in. I had the Southwest salad with chicken. It was good, so I can't knock the place for its food. Just needs to find a focus and create some character.

Chicken pita was PACKED. Garlic sauce is excellent. No complaints from me on this end
