The 15 Best Decatur Restaurants - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Atlanta is a wing town, but this small, family-run, takeout spot on Wesley Chapel is making a case for swapping out flats and drums for tenders. When you want a quick dinner to take home, scoop up Jaybee’s 20-piece family pack of tenders (they're huge and have an amazingly crunchy panko-like breading). Or go for a messy fried chicken sandwich with thick buttery toasted bread, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and their tangy, mayo-based Jay’s Sauce." - juli horsford, jacinta howard, nina reeder

8 Great Drive-Thrus For When The Outside Is Too Much - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Most drive-thrus have chicken tenders, but JayBee’s in Decatur on Wesley Chapel serves the kind that makes the others feel like an afterthought. These are big, juicy, and can be purchased as a 20-piece for an easy family meal. Their fried chicken sandwiches hold their own too, stacked with thick toasted bread, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and tangy Jay’s Sauce. Head to Jaybee's for juicy, well-seasoned chicken tenders - Review - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Atlanta may be the land of wings, but Jaybee’s Chicken Tenders, a small, family-run, takeout spot in Decatur, makes a strong case for swapping drums and flats for their fried golden tenders. Each chicken strip is practically the size of a '90s-era Toshiba remote. Plus, they have a well-seasoned panko-style breading that locks in the juices from the meat. Grab a five-piece for a quick dinner (order online and pick it up at the drive-up window). Or scoop up the 20-piece family pack for picky kids who’ve convinced themselves chicken only tastes good in breaded and boneless form. It comes with four pieces of Texas toast, four coleslaws, four sodas, and large fries for $35. Food Rundown video credit: Jacinta Howard Chicken Tenders The tenders are great. They’re huge, with well-seasoned, cripsy batter. The meat stays juicy and moist. Fried Sandwich This is a big, messy sandwich that’s worthy of an order. You can’t modify it, but that’s fine with us because it’s perfect as is, with snappy tenders, thick buttery toasted bread, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and their tangy, mayo-based Jay’s Sauce. Grilled Tenders The fried tenders are the star here, but the grilled chicken strips hold their own—moist, well-seasoned, and solid. Mambo Sandwich Another tasty, messy sandwich. Crispy chicken tenders pile on thick toast, with pickles and a sweet, tangy mambo sauce." - Jacinta Howard

Google
I was kind of eager to get a taste of this food and support my people, but I also keep an open mind when I eat anything. We pulled up and placed an order - online ONLY via their app - waited no more than 10-12 mins. As we walked up the little window opened and before I could even say my hello and ask for anything, the guy that appears in the window calls out my name and hands me the drink and a bag. Literally afterwards he started closing the window back. Didn’t even ask me if I needed condiments or a straw, napkins or something! There was a straw & napkins (only) in the big pretty bag the food comes in. I DIDN’T like that one bit since you don’t know if we were going to eat the fries bare. We turned and walked away because it was clear he was not trying to be professional no matter how much you spend. I spent around $30 as it was just a light snack for my niece and nephew. One wanted a meal which was the chicken strip & fries with the strawberry lemonade and the other just wanted a sandwich. I took the pics to show what I bought for this review & I asked to taste the sandwich, fries, strip without sauce and the lemonade. Now the sandwich was not as appealing with all the fixings as you see posted online. There were barely balmy tomatoes. The two you see were end pieces. The food itself was bland even with the sauce. The only thing that I can give 5 stars to was that lemonade because & fried simply for the drink was delicious plus a nice size and the fires were not greasy. No condiments except the one honey mustard for the strips. I also don’t like the fact when you order it adds a tip automatically! I’m glad I know how to count because I had a tip added that almost made my price 45 bucks. Don’t think I’ll be back here. The lack of communication and customer service at the window along with the subpar food, doesn’t move me to try them again. Now in my little niece’s voice, she said she liked the food.

Google
This black family owned and operated business is EVERYTHING !! I’m so upset that I rode past so many times before finally stopped by because I really been cheating myself. The food tastes amazing. It is always made fresh to order and still steaming hot when I get home. Every employee I’ve interacted with has been extremely pleasant and professional. And honestly the prices are not bad at all especially for the amount of food and quality of service you receive in return. Oh and please keep in mind you HAVE to order online. They do not take orders at the window. But on the bright side, my order is always ready a little bit sooner than the expected time. 5 stars highly recommend.

Google
The food was delicious. The banana posing was one of the best. The part I did not like was the fact I should have checked my bag while there because I paid extra for coleslaw and j sauce but I didn’t get it.

Google
I’ve been wanting to try this place for over a year and we FINALLY went and let me tell you OMG the wait was worth it! Everything is good, but the stars were definitely the fried tender sandwich and the mango/strawberry/peach lemonade mix 🤤 🤤🤤 it’s a bit of a drive from us but definitely worth it! When I tell you it’s the BEST chicken sandwich I’ve ever had 😮‍💨 Y’all should try out if you ever get the chance you won’t be disappointed. Plus the customer service is amazing, family owned, the owners are so nice and the most uplifting people you’ll meet. Please go support this amazing Afro-Latino small business!! Check days/hours before you go and it’s pick up only (no dine in) and you must order online. Follow them on instagram for updates!!!

Google
Ordered the five piece tenders With the coleslaw. The coleslaw completely fell flat. No acidity, no salt, just taste like plain mayonnaise. They did give me six tenders instead of five so that was pretty solid and everything was definitely hot and fresh. But it was definitely Under/lacking seasonin. The store bought fries definitely needed some salt and aside from the chicken being hot and partially crispy without the dipping sauce There was no real flavor. When I pulled up and saw nobody there I should’ve known, but I had already drove out of the way and figured maybe just cause it was midday. It was slow.

We had the pleasure last week to go to Jaybee’s and let me just say it was amazing. I met the owner and his daughter so I believe it’s a family owned business. I got the original sandwhich and he was nice enough to give me a sandwhich is the sweet sauce and it was very good. The fries were good with the sauce on the side for dipping as well. Will be back for sure. Thanks for you hospitality and great food.

I was introduced to this spot by my homegirl and enjoyed my sandwich! I ordered their Chicken Chop Cheese Sandwich w/ the Georgia Peach Tea and Coleslaw while my friend had the Fried Tender Sandwich. The sandwiches were delicious, the tea was enjoyable, but I was indifferent to the unique taste of the coleslaw. My friend absolutely loved it and was pleased I shared it with her. One thing she mentioned was that maybe the coleslaw should be in a smaller container for the portion size given so it doesn’t give the appearance of a skimmed portion. Other than that, I’d recommend a trip here for a good pick up meal!

Google
Customer Service is utterly terrible and unprofessional. I pulled up in the parking lot & ordered online. Received text notification stating the order would be ready at 7PM. I sat in the parking lot & waited until 7:10 and was told at the window if I didn’t get a text my food wasn’t ready yet. Mind u there is a huge sign saying “you will receive a ready text message” or something. After another 8 mins, I approached the window again and asked how much longer, the guy then asked for my name and handed me the order. At this point, I’m upset and showed him my phone that I didn’t get any notification. The 2nd dude came from the back asked for my number & basically told me my phone wasn’t working. I asked him to check his records to see who he texted but he refused. The tenders were subpar; part was half wet and not cooked partly. Drink wasn’t even mango/peach.Could I eat it? Yes. The cooked tenders. Would I go back? Nope!

Yelp
I had the five piece chicken tenders with fries and lemonade. Some of the best chicken tenders I've had in the city top-tier for sure. Fries were nothing special and the lemonade was just right not too sweet or too tart well balanced. I'll be back.

Yelp
Tried the chicken sandwich and the M/S/P (Mango/Strawberry/Pineapple) lemonade--both were fire. Sandwich was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. The lemonade was super refreshing and not overly sweet. Definitely worth the hype!

Yelp
Ive driven by this place so many times and didnt notice it. Its a smaller sized takeout window type place in a shopping plaza so no sit down service. You also cannot order at the window. Online ordering only. I tried the fried tender sandwich and its a pretty basic but solid chicken sandwich. It was sweeter than I was anticipating but tasty nonetheless. I tried it whole and tasted some components on their own. The sauce was described as a mayo based savory sauce. It tasted sweet but im not sure if that was due to the pickles that were directly on top. The tenders are seasoned perfectly and I want to try them on their own. I do wish the bread wasn't as thick and that it was warm. The tenders were hot and fresh but biting into cold toast took from the overall experience. Overall it's pretty good. Definitely overpriced so not something I'd rush to try again but I'm not opposed to the place.

Yelp
Browsed reviews complaining about prices. I see what they mean. $10 for banana pudding? Thankfully they were out so I didn't feel tempted to over pay. So, you have to scan a code and order through your phone. There is no option to order at the window. Didn't mind the QR code ordering, and I think they did a good job with anticipating questions on their site. I did see ppl leave after reading about the scanning thing. Even though, this is a "get your food and leave" spot, they had good music playing while you waited. I waited in my car, and could still hear the good vibes and music playing. The system worked well for me. When I got the text, my food was ready, I walked up, and they promptly gave me the food. And I had a really nice conversation with the lady at the window. I really enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries. It was a basic meal, but they do it right. This chicken was very nicely seasoned and cooked to the perfect crispy texture. If I lived closer, and if it wasn't as expensive as it is, I would visit more often.

Yelp
This is one of me and my son's drive by's. It's on the way to/from this school so when it's open, hard to know specific operating hours, we pop by. I've had the chicken sandwich every time, just prepared different ways. It's messy and all so good!!! My son loves this place! It's a cute little shed with a walk up window and drive thru. I will say that almost every time we've gone they've forgotten something from the order so make sure you check your food before leaving. Overall, I'd give them a 7/10.

Yelp
I'm never on the Eastside but Jaybee's made me travel for food! The restaurant, which specializes in chicken tenders, is in a small strip mall tucked toward the street. They're online orders only! I had the Mambo Combo which is fried chicken tenders with pickles drizzled with mambo sauce on Texas Toast with fries, and a mango peach lemonade. Bae got the Grilled Tender Sandwich Combo. This is Texas Toast, Jays Sauce, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, & grilled tenders w/ fries and a mango lemonade. This food was so good! I love frequenting Black-owned restaurants and this made my day. Zaxbys, who?! Nah, Jaybee's is where it's at! I didn't even get tired of chewing (you know sometimes that can be an issue). It just hit the spot!
google avatar

Kesha B.

Yelp
Today we had the tenders and they were so nicely seasoned! The breading wasn't as crispy as I would have liked, but still delicious. If you're a fan of garlic flavor, you'll definitely enjoy the seasoning. We'll definitely be going back there again.

Yelp
I made a trip from Kennesaw to Decatur just to try Jaybees and it was AMAZING! Hot, fresh, flavorful! I made a pleasant mistake and got the grilled chicken tender sandwich instead of the fried and it was simply amazing. I Was a little reluctant due to I'm not a big fan of sauces or anything like that, but I am so glad I got it cause it sent the flavors over the top! The young man at the window was incredibly nice and attentive, was able to address any questions that I had food came out nice and fast!
google avatar

Yelp
Finally tried Jaybees after watching the hype on social media. The food was good, but not worth the price. I ordered the loaded fries (x2) & the chicken sandwich combo. I ordered 2 drinks ($6.50 EACH) & only received 1. I wanted to try the banana pudding, but it was $13 . My total for 3 entrees & 2 drinks was about $70. The food tasted good but definitely not worth the hype or price. I won't rush back.

Yelp
It only took 8 minutes for me to get my food from the time I placed the order online. I ordered the fried tender sandwich and the banana pudding. The portions were huge and I was oh so happy. The tenders on the sandwich were juicy and flavorful. The bread was toasted to perfection and tasted amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich and the service was even better. The young lady at the window explained the ordering process to me and was so kind and pleasant. She had the most beautiful smile and pleasant demeanor. Every bite of my sandwich was good. The banana pudding was light and fluffy and full of flavor. I think I tasted a hint of cinnamon and I absolutely loved it. The portion size was big and worth all $10.92. I spent little under $25 for my entire meal and I told some friends about this place. They went the next day to try it for themselves. So in summary; good food and good service. Come get you some.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
I love this place; I get it at least once a week. Loaded Fries 2.0 and a Lemonade with Strawberry and peach mix. The service is great and that is one of the reasons I have taken the time to give this place 5 stars. if your close to Westley Chapel give this place a try.
google avatar

Demetric E.

Yelp
Would love to try their food but their site keeps erroring when I attempt to make an online order. Just know that's the only way you can order from this spot. They don't do walk ups or drive throughs. Just online orders. I did call and mentioned to them that their site isn't accepting my order, with multiple different cards and transactions. I was just told to keep trying at a different time. Oh well.
google avatar

Kiara B.

Yelp
I've heard mixed things about this place but I decided to check them out! Not a fan.. the bread and fries are good but the skin on the chicken just slides right off. It is crunchy which I loveee! But it's like you're eating the skin separately from the actual chicken. Probably won't be back since it was nothing that stood out about it. I did get the sauce they have on the side it was really good!
google avatar

Daryl J.

Yelp
This place has been here for a while, and I've had it a few times. I always come back for the loaded fries. A lil pricey, but the food is worth it.
google avatar

Ayesha L.

Yelp
My son loves this place so much. We drive 30 minutes one way for it and it's worth it every time. Try the loaded fries, the chicken tender sandwich, all of it. We have never had a miss and the service and ordering process is really easy as everything is online and they text your phone when your order is ready. It's a walk up so just plan to eat in your car if you have to drive a distance to check them out. They do have a nice playlist on the speaker if you want to make it a parking lot picnic.
google avatar

Tanya B.

Yelp
I had a friend insist I check this place out so of course I did! Easy location and easy parking. It's not a dine in spot but still worth it! Parking is easy it's located in a shopping center. I walk up and they have the menu and QR scan available to place your order online and yes they only accept online orders. They fry their food items in peanut oil so if you have a peanut allergy like my daughter reconsider. I ordered the loaded fries 2.0 and a strawberry/mango lemonade along with a banana pudding. During the process of placing my order they do ask for your phone number and they text you when your order is ready. So I went back to my car and waited they were playing music outside and it was a decent day so I didn't mind at all. I waited maybe 15 mins and then I received a text message saying my order was ready for pick up. Let me just say ppl were definitely pulling up to this place so I had a good feeling about the food! I wasn't disappointed they give you a lot for what you pay! I couldn't even finish my loaded fries and the banana pudding is amazing!!! I will definitely be visiting soon!! Until next time SYOY!!

Nae N.

Yelp
Overrated and beyond overpriced . I was highly disappointed . I got tenders and fries with a peach lemonade mix . The tenders were NOT IT , the mambo sauce is what took it from a 1 to a 3 and it still wasn't it for me . I'm giving it a two because the peach lemonade was on point , even though it was almost $7 for a drink . The service was amazing though ! I'm not going to say I do NOT recommend , I'm going to say , try at your own risk and accord .
google avatar

Stuu D.

Yelp
I love jaybee's ! They literally have the best tenders around. I've tried everything on the menu at this point. The customer service is amazing . Erika was there today and is extremely friendly and helpful . I definitely recommend you check this place out !
google avatar

Jasmyn H.

Yelp
I am normally leary when social media hypes up restaurants because I've been disappointed several times in the past, but I took a chance and tried Jaybees based on an Instagram post and I'm glad I did! This is a family owned business, and the husband is an actual chef. The food is hot and fresh. Their flavored lemonades are top tier. Every time I go there, I buy at least 2. One for the kids and one to add liquor to when I get home for an 'adult' lemonade . *Pro Tip: If you follow the owner on Instagram, you will know when he does special pull ups where he sells plates that are not on their regular menu like chicken or shrimp pasta, salmon, ribs, jerk chicken, etc. IYKYK

Lindsey G.

Yelp
Food was HOT burn your fingers fresh!! Grease doesn't taste old! Customer service was phenomena!! Their food is to good to compare to zaxbys, raising canes, or guthries. Come here instead! Lemonades and tea was great as well!
google avatar

Kiah R.

Yelp
Located in Decatur has a unique spin on chicken tenders. They are well seasoned and come with a delicious sauce that you need to add an extra on the side for. The fries weren't seasoned so that was disappointing but the toast was amazing & buttered. It is a small black family owned business! Cons: Drinks aren't included with the meals, no modifications & bring cash because it's a 4% charge using card. The tenders were smaller than I expected & is a bit pricey for tenders.
google avatar

Shandranika M.

Yelp
Food was hot fresh and made to order. I always get the tenders and fries with mambo sauce. I could eat this every week lol.
google avatar

Brittany L.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting I ordered my food not seven minutes before it was deemed ready for pick up once I picked it up I could smell the bad grease from the window. I ordered chicken tenders and fries and what's so scary. I ordered the kids meal as soon as I opened up my food, it was not hot and so I proceeded to taste the chicken tender and to my surprise nasty rotten, gross do not spend your money at this business. When I called to complain, no one answered the phone, nor Were, their voicemail working so I decided to leave a review here this ain't it!
google avatar

Ariel L.

Yelp
Delicious will be back! Ordered online very easy pickup. The drinks are amazing had the peach/strawberry
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
So glad to have this restaurant in my neighborhood. Really fresh, flavorful and crispy tenders! Love this spot
google avatar

Yelp
Incredibly Ok. Nothing special here. The tenders are should be fried longer but taste ok. However, it's overpriced and lb for lb Zaxby's is a better option sadly

Yelp
Drove from Duluth this morning around 11:45 and didn't realize they weren't open until 1pm. Left and came back around 7:47p. Thank god they aren't the type of restaurant that shuts their grill down early. So was grateful for that aspect of their business. Was greeted by the cashier after he finished putting someone else's order together. He was very precise and accurate. I like that part about having someone efficient order handling. So the food is severely underpriced. Just my opinion. I know folks look at the prices and think the prices are high but in this circumstance, especially after tasting the food, I would have totally paid more for the 8 piece combo. Our receipt total was $34 but my 4 children and I were able to eat with plenty left over. I would have easily paid $4-$6/$7 more dollars per plate. Easily. The Jaybee sauce? Would pay $1.50 per side. Easily. Cole slaw was perfect, it's sort of cheaper to make ingredient wise so I would have preferred a bowl twice the size even if they upcharged it another dollar. So I'll be headed back today to get some Cole Slaw, Texas Toast and some other things. You know I'm never looking for a perfect experience just because people are human but my experience here was not disappointing in the least and that's because the young man at the counter was on point with his skills of order taking, managing the flow of orders and I could tell that he was proud of what he was doing. I asked if the younger child there was his brother and he let me know it was a family business. I'm just impressed so much with their attention to detail and customer service I wouldn't even be upset if I got home and some of my food was missing. Totally worth the revisit, totally worth the ride from Duluth twice. My baby girl enjoying her EPIC dinner! Update: 1/24/2022-We have been back twice since my initial post. Came and got like 4 Cole slaws the next day. Also was there Saturday night 1/22/2022. My car wouldn't crank after I'd ordered my food (apparently the anti theft mechanism was activated on the car) so I ended up eating it in the car in the cold but it was perfect. The young man at the counter had amazing customer service, he listened very well to my order and repeated it back perfectly. He suggested the strawberry lemonade when I went back to add extra pickles and it was delish! The tenders were smaller this time but the flavor and the value still remain. Totally worth being stranded in the parking lot & all!! And the cashier asked me 2x if I were ok while waiting on help to arrive. Will return in a couple of days time since they don't open again until Wednesday.

William B.

Yelp
They were out of everything when I went. I would say have a back up restaurant in mind in case. This happens when you go. The female worker was very nice and friendly. Maybe in a few months it will be better

Yelp
Lissen, let me tell you about this spot here! I can't emphasize enough how incredibly delicious this restaurant is! I heard about this spot some months back, and on this beautiful Sunday i decided to pay a visit. (Glad I did too) let's get into the deets! It is located in Lithonia off Wesley chapel and Snapfinger Rd. Once you get here parking is easy. It is in the five points Village plaza! The menu is very simple and easy to read. The staff are the children of the owners! These young boys are running the heck out of this restaurant and I live for it!!! Their customer service is top notch. They also have (at the time of my review) 100 on health score! Food: i ordered the 8 pcs tenders and fries, the tender chicken combo (includes fries no drinks) and the grilled chicken combo. I ordered two peach lemonade drinks! ABSOLUTELY amazing!!!!!! The chicken sandwich was so flavorful. The jaybee's sauce is so complimentary to the whole sandwich! I usually like cheese on mine, it was so good I didn't need it! Popeyes, chick fi la, and zaxby's your days are numbered! The lemonades were delicious!!! This family recipe is LIT!!!!!! The best chicken sandwich I've ever tasted!!!!!!!!! You won't regret it! Everything cooked to order! Have patience and trust me your TASTEBUDS WILL THANK YOU! Payment: All forms are accepted, however extra charge

Yelp
I had the opportunity to attend the soft grand opening and Hands down this is the Best Chicken Tenders I've had! The crisp, the seasoning, just everything! Had me reevaluate my choice of eating Tenders at other restaurants. Their sweet drinks are amazing too! I highly recommend!
google avatar

Camille K.

Yelp
The chicken sandwich is one of the best I've ever had. The food is always fresh and well seasoned. I love that I can order ahead.
google avatar

Brittney M.

Yelp
I highly recommend this spot! I found them on Instagram and the pictures spoke for them because that tender sandwich was speaking to me!! The long wait was worth it because they did not disappoint!! Everything is cooked fresh so be ready to wait. This is a family owned business and I love it. Their menu is limited but they have some delicious options to choose from. I ordered the Chicken Tender Sandwich & Fries Combo for $15 and it was worth it!! The tenders are seasoned so well and juicy. Can't forget about the Texas toast cooked just to perfection...soo good!! The menu prices range from $10-$16. I didn't get to try their different flavored homemade lemonade but I heard it taste really good so I will be trying that next time I go back. This is order at the window restaurant with no seating so prepare to wait outside or in your car. Their located in the Five Points Village Plaza so there is plenty of parking.

Yelp
I bought the Chicken Sandwich and the Loaded Fries from @jaybees_atl, first time ever going. I drove from Cobb County to try the food and patronize a black owned business. The Chicken sandwich was tasty, however I was disappointed in the Loaded Fries because it looked nothing like their advertising picture. There was no shortage of chicken and the flavor was good but I noticed it had NO shredded cheese and when I brought it to the lady to let her know she insisted that there was (without looking at it) and that it just melted but shredded cheese will appear stringy. As you see in the pictures there was no shredded cheese and in fact the right side of the dish hardly had any cheese whatsoever. I just feel like I came at a bad time because there was something going on with another person's order also. Maybe I'll try it again in the future but as of now

Yelp
Black owned which is a plus. It's a longggg wait (ok it was only 10mins but that's long for fast food spot) but I can appreciate fresh food. I wanted in my car so that wasn't a problem for me. The coleslaw is really good! I understand the complaint of the cost but you get a lot of food. Again, no complaint from me there - just noting it for others. The banana pudding I wasn't fond of. It wasn't bad, I just was expecting it to taste like 'normal' banana pudding. There was something unique added like toasted coconut. I'm not sure because I didn't see coconut flakes but I could taste the texture of something. It would have been nice if the menu reflected that ingredient so I wouldn't have been shocked.

Yelp
Very Over rated the chicken tenders was chewy and the skin wasn't crunchy it was sliding off the meat and felt mushy. The French fries were average. The smell of the chicken had my stomach hurting but I tried my best to ignore it and enjoy it. The house sauce taste like nasty bbq sauce 3/10. The chicken was a 6/10 wouldn't recommend. Wouldn't recommend this over Zaxby's ever

Yelp
My foodie friends had been posting about Jaybee's for over a month and since it's not far from me I decided to stop by and try it for myself. I placed my order and waited in my car for about 20 mins, everything is made fresh to order and worth the wait. I ordered the famous tender sandwich combo, side of slaw with a Mango drink as well as a 8 piece and 3 piece tender meal for my kids with a Peach drink and banana pudding for dessert. I took 2 bites of my sandwich before leaving the parking lot because the aroma was so mouthwatering I couldn't help myself. I would've eaten the entire sandwich if I didn't have to take my kids their food too lol. And let me tell you the 15 min drive home had no affect on the food. My sandwich was still piping hot when I sat down to finish it. The buttery toasted bread, Jay's sauce, the tender batter and seasoning, the pickles, lettuce and tomato all made this sandwich Amazing! I'm so extra I threw some slaw on it too Now I'm a saucy girl so I bought some extra Jays sauce and it is worth the $.75 ok The Mango drink went perfect to wash it all down. I'd buy it by the gallon if I could, it was that refreshing. Customer Service was top notch Oh I can't forget about the banana pudding, it was good although I'm trying to figure out what the special ingredient is, maybe brown sugar crumbles anyways y'all make sure to swing by and order everything because it's definitely ChocolateDrop Approved

Yelp
Best chicken tenders in the East of Atlanta!! Service is always good and fast. They charge for ketchup, but other than that, we were very satisfied.

Yelp
The location is small but they are doing WORK in that building. The food is always fresh and hot. Even though food is cooked to order, you don't have to wait long. They have a good system and are very nice to the customers. I witnessed an elderly customer struggle with his debit card and the texting system that is used to let you know your order is ready. The cashier was extremely patient and kind and decided to bypass the text and take care of the customer with a smile on his face. Made my day and I went home and tore my food up with my heart warm Headed back today for more of that chicken, lemonade, and peach cobbler!

Yelp
With social media comes popularity and high expectations or unwarranted opinions but sometimes we as people need to understand that this is a small business. It is not a franchise or large business. They are literally a family owned business and have their kids working as well (who are some amazing young gentleman with great customer service by the way!) they operate according to their schedule as business owners. So with that said I'll give my opinion and honest review. The first time I went was at the end of 202. I looked at the posted hours in google maps to check hours and unfortunately they were closed when I got there. I searched on instagram and saw they had a hood/vent issue that prevented them from operating so I decided to try again as soon as they were back open. Hey things out of our control happen right? I'm so glad I made the trip from Henry county back to Decatur a second time because it well worth it! Fresh to order food is everything to me! It was hot and not a long wait I got the tenders combo and fries with the special sauce man the flavor I was in chicken tender heaven & they make their homemade "happy lemons" lemonade so it was fresh and not too sweet I could have drunk a gallon of it! For dessert I had the peach cobbler and it was fresh as well and still warm and had just the right amount of cinnamon and nutmeg! Overall I'm pleased with no complaints as my profile says I will drive for good food when I'm back that it's a definite must have for chicken tenders for me!

Yelp
Great homemade taste and everything is served hot and fresh. They were only doing online pickups when I went but instructions on how to go about it were listed.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE THIS SPOT. I've never had the desserts, but the chicken tenders are soooo flavorful !! You get a lot of food for the price, which at first I thought was high but the quality / quantity made up for it. Customer service is IMPECCABLE. Even though I recently moved from the area, I'll always come through and patronize and refer folks !! Support Black Owned businesses yall !!

Yelp
I saw Jaybees on Tik Tok and told myself I had to try it on my next visit to ATL. This place was great!! I got the 8 piece tender combo. It came with fries, coleslaw, and a slice of Texas toast. I also got the peach cobbler and banana pudding. Jay's specialty sauce was my choice of sauce. The service was excellent. The women who took my order was very polite and I felt very welcomed. It took about 15 to get my food from the time I ordered. I like the system they have where they text you when you order is ready. The tenders were really good and flavorful. The jays sauce is also very good. Just to give a description, it's a smoky sauce. The fries were also very good. Great flavor, crispy on the outside and chewy. Texas toast was awesome and the coleslaw was delicious. The peach cobbler was very good as well. Now... YOU MUST GET THE BANANA PUDDING!! It was seriously so good!!! it has lots of vanilla wafers and I think they add some brown sugar in there that gives it extra sweetness. Seriously some of the best banana pudding I've had!! Overall, great experience and I'll be back!

Yelp
The tenders were good! I like the idea of the contactless ordering. I was not a fan of the coleslaw. The lemonade was AMAZING!

So good. Really, every single time so good I want more. Do yourself a favor and check them out. Super nice every time you buy from them too. You have to order ahead FYI
