My Advice, DON’T LIVE HERE! I moved in at the end of April, and I’ve had a terrible experience from the very beginning. For starters, when I was looking at different apartments at Jayde, she showed me one and told me to put 603 on my application. Well, she actually showed me 601 instead of 603. When it became clear I applied for the wrong apartment number, she refused to allow me to correct her mistake, even though the apartment was vacant. Therefore, I didn’t get to live in the apartment that they showed me. Not only that, but when I sent my cashier checks before I moved in, I told her to let me know if she doesn’t get them. Well, she called me to setup a time to sign the lease, and when I got there, that’s when she finally told me she never got my checks. That $2500 I was worried I lost. The leasing agent didn’t seem to care that this was now a big problem for me. Then there at times when I need to go to the room with garbage and recycling, and I’ve seen mice in there from time to time. If you think that’s bad, the worst part about living here is the inability to control the temperature in your apartment. I prefer to live between 65 and 67 degrees. Well, based on the engineering design of the heating and cooling system and the quality of the HVAC units, you can’t control the temperature in your apartment if it’s too cold outside. They have the main lobby set at 75 - 78 degrees, and I don’t think they understand that even though it’s on a different HVAC unit, heat always rises. I e had multiple occasions now when it’s 72 degrees in my apartment, and I have the thermostat set at 67. When I submit a maintenance ticket, it takes them days to address the issue. Therefore, I’m not able to sleep and I’m sweating all night because this property is way too hot. I even have the windows fully open, but that doesn’t help. They keep the hallways at 73 degrees in the winter time?! They definitely have a lack of responsiveness when you can’t control the temperature in your own apartment, because they don’t have a solution, therefore they make you sweat, and I had to fix the issue myself last time. Plus, they are insensitive to the fact that they made you bake in your apartment for 20+ hours before the picked up the phone to call me back. For those of you looking to rent in DC, I would recommend u avoid this property and its management! I find it absurd that hotels don’t have any issues with people controlling their own temperature, and people don’t live in hotels. I wish this property had the engineers and HVAC systems that hotels do, and their customers only stay a night or 2. I have to try to live here, but this property is designed in a way that my apartment is way too hot for comfort, and why pay to live uncomfortable.

I’m making this review to show how the second building bathroom style which is black tile. They don’t have a lot of pics or videos showing the kitchens or bathrooms I did this tour with the manager I think he was on a meeting and paused to take me to see a unit. Thankfully I want this unit but I did not know they could not take vouchers right now in the second building if I did I wouldn’t done the tour in the first building. They still waiting to set the account up for the vouchers so if ur applying with a voucher it may be a while. I was approved also but didn’t hear anything after I got the email until I reached out that’s when they told me they just waiting with the voucher people.

I just like yo thsnks Lucy for all her help and making our transition so easy and how she took her time step by step helping me understand the way the portal along with the tour that was given. It brought tears to my eye to once again to be under the professional management, she always wear a small and my grand daughter just enjoys seeing her. Thank you for the comfort of home once again. Living at Jayde Parkside has been awesome! The apartment is modern, comfortable, and well-maintained. A special thank you to Carmalita, who helped me through the whole process! She was incredibly kind and made moving in a breeze. The management team is also very responsive, and maintenance requests are handled quickly. Overall, I’m very happy I chose to live here and highly recommend it!

I had a great experience with the team at Jayde Parkside from the beginning. They know exactly what to do and when to do it and they respond quickly to your emails. They give comprehensive explanation and information about the apartment and everything you need to know. Both Lucy and Carmalita showed great customer service and I had a fantastic tour with both of them. The amenities at Jayde Parkside are top notch, the exterior and interior design is awesome, it's really a good living space with great location for whomever wants to get an apartment for the first time or move into another apartment. Great job Jayde Parkside team 👏 👍.

I hope everyone gets a chance to work with Lucy shes excellent at her job and an outstanding communicator. So far I really like this apartment and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality, luxury experience.

Randy Perez was amazing while leading my tour and showing me various apartments. He was all in on helping me find the apartment for me and definitely played an huge role in signing my lease. Extremely personable and glad he was here to be a part of my search. Alex also played an instrumental role in making sure paperwork and documentation was completed and I greatly appreciated his efforts and time regarding my situation. The apartments are smooth so far. Everything is very clean and new. Gym is better than any gym I viewed at any other apartment in the city. There’s not much to do around this location but it’s calm which is nice. Walmart, Harris Teeter and Downtown are all 10-15 min away. Package room and access is easy and seems to be protected. Packaged aren’t sitting out in the open like other apts. I’ve been here for two weeks. The only problem I’ve had with Jayde is when I arrived for move in day. No one was in the office at my scheduled move in time, so just had to wait outside and wasn’t contacted by anyone until almost an hour and a half after my scheduled move in time. Everything really been straight through besides that.
