"You might know Jayson Home for the gorgeous store (great furniture and other home goods), but their floral department is one of Chicago's best-kept secrets. The proof is in the pudding: See the elegant white-and-green bouquets they arranged for the Chicago #gooppop dinner. So simple, and so good."

"This beloved vintage furniture/décor/botany mecca was a major contributor to making the Chicago goop Pop the experience it was. Somewhat rare, Jayson Home designs floral arrangements that are as exceptional as their furnishings. Perusing the shop's bright space is always an inspiring experience, but you can also order flowers and plants from their online store for delivery in the Chicago area."

Breathtaking Gorgeous Stunning Compared to other high end luxury furniture stores, I LOVE the number of items Made in the USA and the price points are much more reasonable! Every staff person greeted us warmly and answered any questions we had. This store has been in business for about 30 years and is a great resource for timeless furniture and home decor! Lane was wonderful when welcoming us and when we left an hour and a half later! Thank you Jayson Home for a wonderful shopping experience!

Love this place…the eclectic style has such a comfy cool lux vibe and the garden center is beautiful. A definite must go.

I ordered a banquette that did not meet my expectations when I received the piece at home. However, after engaging with customer service and the VP (who was ADAMANT about making things right), we reached a resolution. I've got to say, I've never dealt with customer service who truly wants to make things right as much as the team at Jayson Home. Their commitment to customer satisfaction exceeded my expectations. I am thoroughly impressed. Thank you, Jayson Home, for your exemplary service.

Jayson Home has some of the most beautifully curated home accessories and furniture I've ever seen. I ordered a few things from their site and even the packaging was beautiful. They have super helpful customer support (backordered item). I also love their catalogue--it reads more like an art piece.

Mostly great stuff, unique but somewhat over-priced. 2 of 3 people(both guys) whom I spoke with were extremely helpful and courteous. I spent about 2 hours there having a great time putting decor and design ideas together in my head. Left twice to walk the beautiful neighborhood, returned twice for a total of 3 visits over 2.5 hours. I couldn't get some of the items off my mind. This time however, when I had a final question about mirrors, I was referred to a lady that was the "expert" regarding such items. She brushed me off, stated that she noticed I had come in 3x over the last 2 hours and blew my question of rather arrogantly. I realize this is an expensive area to live, and the store is high-priced if not over-priced. Needless to say, my 3rd foray into the store that day was going to be for a purchase of 2 pieces of art and a mirror, total somewhere in the neighborhood of $2100.00. I realize this isn't a lot of money to some of the types that shop there, or maybe to the lady, but that last reaction to my 3rd visit convinced me not to spend my money there that day. Again, great stuff, somewhat over-priced, nice staff for the most part, but the haughtiness from the lady unfortunately made me decide to bail on the purchase since I couldn't get a straight answer.

Let me start out by saying, this company has OUTSTANDING customer service. A kind employee named John, took extra time with me to help pick out a vintage vase. Since I live in Arizona, I couldn't see the vase I wanted in person, so he sent multiple photos of the vases they had in store. He also measured them for me and was friendly throughout the whole process. When the package arrived, the vase was in perfect condition and even better than I had expected! THANK YOU, Jayson Home. This was my first time ordering from you guys, and I will definitely be shopping here again. I wish every company had as good of service and care that you clearly showed. Thank you again!

Been shopping here for years and the selection is always very well curated. High-level customer service which is very important to me. John and Neil are very helpful. I'm glad we have Jayson Home!

I love this store! Jayson Home is filled with unique furniture and decor that you can’t find anywhere else in Chicago. The staff is friendly and clearly have expertise in the field of design. Highly recommend adding this store to your list. Fatima is exceptionally helpful!

Yelp
This is the best vintage/ thrift store I've ever been to. I love that they also have little pop ups of different shops and they have great sales once in a while . Everyone that works in the store is super friendly and they are always around offering advice . The store has 3 different sections (I think ) and every little corner is full with treasures . I recommend to go early in the day and be ready to spend there a couple hours . There's a LOT to see!

Yelp
I recently went to Jayson Home to pick up a small orchid. It took everything out of me to stay focused and not look around. It's one of those places where you pop in for a minute and can easily leave an hour later. This place is teeming with eclectic items for every room in the house. Even though the store is big, it has a feeling of being one of those small shops in a seaside town with great art objects and home decor. The kind of store you wished they had back home only it is back home in Chicago! My only quip about this store is the customers you run into during your visit. While Jayson's carries items for most people's budget, they do have items for those who have, let's say, extra, extra income. And for some reason the people I've come across in my path of perusing come off very snobby. That aside, I have found the service to be friendly and helpful.

Yelp
We had to stay home for the first time for the holidays due to covid so this Christmas was looking a little different for us. We'd never had a real tree and since we lived across the street from Jayson Home, we decided to pick out our first live tree to make the season a bit warmer. Their tree selection was perfection. All the trees were healthy and came in many shapes and sizes. The staff was super friendly and helpful. When we finally found 'the one' it was love at first sight. We just knew. The staff gently wrapped it up for us and we left it there to pick up the next day. When we arrived to take our tree home, we were surprised when a staff member offered to carry it across the busy street into our house! We were prepared to make the arduous journey alone, but this man was a saint. Once inside, we grounded our tree, released its casing, and stepped back. Wow. After a horrible year this was just what we needed. The aroma hit us like a million happy Christmas memories years before. Thank you Jayson Home for helping make this year a little brighter for us and for your helpful staff!

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about Jayson Home! They have outstanding customer service and wonderful products. I am extremely impressed by the way this business handled a delivery situation for me, and by their very kind, thoughtful and conscientious customer service and delivery team. The store itself is beautiful with a very broad and unique selection of furniture, home decor and greenery. I will absolutely be a repeat customer and will suggest the store to family and friends. Really shows the elevated level of care, service and selection you have at a local business compared to a big box brand store. Highly recommend this store!

Yelp
After purchasing a new home, I didn't know where to begin. Allie at Jayson Home was an incredible partner. We first chatted on the phone and over emails, exchanging room dimensions, design inspiration, and budgets. Two weeks later we went to Jayson Home where she showed us two beautiful design options and all the fabrics and furniture pieces. We are SO happy with the end result and Allie made it simple.

Yelp
Forever favorite home store. I have many pieces from JH and send gifts often it is well curated, lovely service, family owned, stylish and high quality. I am a former interiors stylist and always rented from here and most of the homeowners bought the borrowed goods. So perfect. Just ordered a custom piece for my husband. Love it.

Yelp
Great one of a kind finds to decorate your home with an interesting and stylish twist. Unique gifts for hard to please friends. Helpful staff. Always changing their floors with new merchandise.

Yelp
It is a always a treat to walk through Jayson Home when I am out and about in the neighborhood. The furniture tends to quite chic and my house is not so chic and the prices are a bit out of my reach, but the quality, style and workmanship are all there, even if the sofas are not for me at this time of my life. Walking through, dreaming of future furnishings and getting design ideas are all free, so why not take advantage and do a walk-thru? What is so special about Jayson Home are the unique accessories, books and gift items they offer. Need a housewarming gift for a friend that will be summering on their boat? Jayson has nice dominoes or cards sets reasonably priced in great boxes ready for gifting. Need a book for the kid finishing college? How about going to Jayson and finding something called "Paris Street Style". Want to bring something special to a senior you are visiting? Jayson has some great lotions and soaps. This list goes on and on. The staff has always been helpful, plus there is a free parking lot across the street.

Yelp
The customer service I've received has been so so encouraging during such a difficult time. Amazing really! The floral department has been following up on a small item very consistently, providing updates..... very bespoke service! Beyond that, the owner is a really nice guy. And of course, the selection is unlike any other in Chicago.

Yelp
Everything! Bought a wonderful mustard/gold leather sofa, & i plan 2 do more shopping soon. So many unique/interesting pieces. The Staff is excellent, professional, knowledgeable-lotta' fun!

Yelp
Jayson is a Home away from home for myself. The staff is so inviting! I enjoy taking my time and walking around the store because there are many unique and unexpected furnishings and goods to find. I've purchased two sofas from Jayson and they were both great quality. This store will be my go-to for statement furniture pieces for years to come. It's also my favorite place to get flowers from in Chicago. They really do the most creative and original floral work in all of Chicago in my opinion. The tattooed florist is so talented and was able to take some basic directions and make something that was out of this world beautiful.

Yelp
This is by far one of the best home stores in the city. Unique, fun finds with a side of sticker shock. Sometimes it pays to pay a wee bit more for that special, vintage find.

M M.

Yelp
Excellent selection of home decor, beautiful gifts, unique plants and flowers. My favorites include their collection of John Derian, Astier de Villatte, Cire Trudon and I love the mini potted orchids. Last time I was in I also picked up a beautiful set of marbleized wrapping paper. The only downside of the shop is the lack of friendliness. I don't need someone to fawn all over me, but a simple "hello" or "let us know if you need help" is always appreciated. It's awkward when you walk in and 4 people working look up at you, say nothing, then continue their conversation or task.

Yelp
Would I come here often for furniture and home goods? Probably not, mostly just because it's pretty pricey, but wow is it fun to browse! A lot of their selection is really rustic, re-claimed, retro, and a little contemporary. It reminded me of a nice Pottery Barn/Restoration Hardware meets Crate and Barrel but with some kind of second-hand store feel. The highlight of this place (for me anyway) was their outdoor area. It's marvelous and they have a really nice range of plants, that all looked like they were quite healthy. I came just for herbs and left and I spent less than I thought I would. Compared to the herbs I previously bought, these are healthy and still going strong!

Yelp
I decided to give Jayson's Container Planting Service a try. I brought in my own containers, which isn't necessary. You can come in and choose from their containers or they'll choose containers for you. I already had some pots, so I figured it would save us some money if we used our own. You let the people at Jayson know your budget, your sun exposure and the size of your balcony or deck. They'll ask you a few more questions to determine what to plant. Our containers finally arrived yesterday (forgot to mention that they'll deliver them). It took almost 2 weeks from the time we dropped off the pots. I took away a star for that because I was told we'd have them much earlier than that. Aside from that, they look great. Each container has a lot of different plants in it. Unfortunately I was told that a lot of the plants would be annuals. So, I'll have to decide next year whether it's worth the $230 to have someone create and deliver these beauties next year. I may just try to do it on my own. I'll add some pictures of the containers.

Yelp
Quick notes on furniture shopping: It's a very specific style - rustic, homey, open homes that can utilize their style of furniture. I ended up not getting anything here, but would recommend the place to friends who have styles similar to theirs.

Yelp
Beautiful! I love visiting jayson home because it's such eye candy. Everything is tastefully done, but just out of my price range. Like other reviewers, I love coming to get inspired. This is also a fiddle leaf fig heaven. They have so many of these leafy beauties that are hard to find in chicago, and they are well taken care of. The small tree varieties are in the mid $100's and the 5 footers go up in price to nearly $600. But they are beautiful and complement any home with their leafy greens. Maybe one of these days I will bite the bullet and get one.

Yelp
I have a long shopping history with Jayson Home--one that goes back to the '90's when they had a single location in a warehouse next door to where their current space is. The space where they are now used to be their second shop, focused primarily on gardening and gardening furniture. Today they are consolidated into the garden center space, where they still have beautiful outdoor plants and urns, and their fresh flower area. The focus now tends to be swank mid-century modern re-imagined furniture with a blend of tribal for a super hefty price. The space is still designed in a way that makes you want to move right in, but I miss the past. In their other space, the focus felt a bit more shabby chic+ Parisian flea + a kick of vintage. The prices seemed to reflect the care of the buyer who traveled around the world seeking out one-of-a-kind unique furnishings that you couldn't wait to get your hands on. When the items were gone, they were gone. That's what made them special and worthy of the high price tag. The collection is still fabulous here, so please don't get me wrong, but I feel like I've seen some of the pieces before. In the past I used to get excited to explore what came in from the recent flea market trip from Paris. It seemed like many of the pieces had a story. If the buyer is still there, I have no doubt she knows exactly what she's doing. Perhaps for the location, this is what the market wants now. What I do love about the shop are the wonderful decorative accessories. You'll find a few items from local artisans mixed with books and pillows. I couldn't keep my eyes off that vintage looking leather-wrapped bicycle. Now that's a fun find. Still the same great quality and tasteful design of the space with room to move around and shop. Though I remain a huge fan of Jayson Home, I miss the days of the past. But that's just me.

Yelp
Love this place. Always go in for inspiration. They could be friendlier. They do carry lots of interesting pieces from around the world that you won't find in other places.

Yelp
Favorite home goods shop to find heedfully curated furnishings for indoor and outdoor needs. Some of my favorite purchases from Jayson's were rugs (living room and hall runner), indoor plants, large ceramic pots (most options are in solid neutral tones), and chic shelve and table decor. They do beautiful work with flower arrangements. Quality furniture pieces that'll fit in a vast variety of home styles (contemporary, traditional, chic, vintage, Parisian flee-market, etc.). If you're looking for home inspiration, stretch your legs through Jayson Home!

Yelp
Great place to purchase a lush Christmas tree. Fantastic, prompt service. I was a little disappointed with the dearth of Christmas decor for sale within the store, but store merchandise is quality.

Yelp
Furniture, flowers and accessories! Oh my! Jayson has every home decor item from big to small that you can imagine. Not your standard big box kind of items here. So much fun to browse and get your creative juices flowing even if you may not be purchasing something at the time. Great fresh flowers and Christmas trees around that time of year too. The first time I came in and was seriously looking to upgrade and invest in some long term furniture, the sales people could not have been more helpful! Very friendly and detail oriented, asking lots of questions about my space, style and what items I was looking to purchase. I took some pictures to help my memory since I was visiting other stores on the same trip. By days end, I knew one of the coffee tables I saw at Jayson was the one! I couldn't find the item on the website at first, so I called in and was told the table was out for a photo shoot that day, but they would get the specifics for me and called me back very quickly to let me know the easiest way to place an order. Stacey contacted me to arrange for delivery after I placed my order online since I live outside of the Chicagoland area and needed to plan for the following week. Right after the delivery guys left, I noticed a chipped corner on the table and again, Stacey was wonderful in providing different options and making sure I had a replacement delivered and swapped out for a new table in no time. It's been about six weeks or so since I got the table, and I could not be happier. Everyone comments on how unique it is and even with other new items in my living room, it's the standout piece! Great quality, durable, and looks fantastic! I'll definitely keep browsing at Jayson Home and will surely buy something else from here in the future when I'm ready for a re-design, upgrade, or just in need of a new special something to switch things up a bit!

Yelp
Went in today with plans to buy a few items but when John failed to greet me after passing him multiple times yet he went out of his way to greet a white couple who later walked in, I left and will spend my money elsewhere. Remember, all money is green so keep your nasty bigoted attitude at home.

Yelp
Used to love this place, and when out of town visitors came to visit, it was always on the shopping stop list. But... they've become way too self important. A couple of weeks ago, we made a stop in for the fist time in a while. I noticed a cool looking sign from the French National Rail Road (SNCF -- Societe des Chemins de Fer Francais) for Lille/Tourcoing. It was marked, "Vintage Belgian Railroad Sign." It was a bit too pricey for my taste, but since I've always liked the place, I thought I'd help them out, and pointed out that their sign was wrong -- Lille and Tourcoing are both in France. On the Belgian border, sure, but in France none the less. And the prissy guy working there said, no, you're wrong, it's from Belgium. He went on to say that the SNCF was the Belgian National Railway. Which is completely false. From that point on we were just glared at. I think we'll take a pass in the future.

Yelp
As someone living across the country (California) from the store, I can only attest to the online and customer service experience that I had with Jayson Home - it was so good it's worth writing about even from afar. I loaded up my cart with a few small sale items and was having issue checking out so I called the customer service number and got immediate help. It wasn't the usual, "oh, sorry you're having trouble, give me your credit card number" help either... it was warm and caring and I felt like I was actually important and that my measly transaction mattered. It was one of the most satisfying customer service experiences that I have ever had, hands down. Fast forward to receiving the two items I had purchased, a candle and a horn pencil holder (if I had the budget and ability to easily make decor and furnishing decision, believe me that I could have bought out the entire store, so well curated!) arrived at my doorstep and I couldn't be happier. Safely packaged (we're talking above and beyond with the bubble wrap) and with a little note from the customer service person who assisted me. Seriously?! How sweet! I'm looking forward to keeping Jayson Home bookmarked as a wonderful go-to place to order gifts and home decor items... it may be on the other side of the country and I may be able to find similar things in California... but this store made it just so wonderful that I'd come back again and again.

Yelp
My favorite store in the city... I could get lost in here for hours! Jayson is sensory overload, but in the best way. I must explain the awesomeness that is this store because you have to visit all the different "areas": when you enter the main building, all the merchandise really delights your eyes... and nose! This main part of the store has really cool/funky furniture, accessories and gifts, all very unique (I buy a ton of gifts here). It also has fresh cut flowers (which are beautiful, but pricey), along with a wonderful selection of candles, so the whole room is wonderfully fragrant. Be sure to visit the outlet store in the basement where you can get huge discounts on off-season items, plus slightly imperfect items. The next "area" is outdoors where Jayson sells seasonal merchandise (in the fall its a pumpkin patch, in the winter its a Christmas tree lot; the rest of the year its plants and garden accessories). I hardly have a green thumb, but I love meandering here anyway. The far building has a small area for custom window treatments and more furniture, and then a huge framing area - best place to get art framed OR purchase regular stand-up picture frames (amazing selection and really helpful staff). The prices for custom framing are high, but well worth it for the excellent service you receive, plus a very professional job done. You must visit Jayson, you'll be so glad you did! But just to warn you, it can be addicting! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the FREE PARKING!

Yelp
Recently I visited the shop to search for two to four grand planting urns for a showroom. I needed something dramatic that would make a statement. I remember they had a nice selection in the past so it was my first place to check out. I walked in with my partner and two associates turned to look and turned their backs. As we shopped the front of the shop and made our way towards the garden we passed two more associates. Only one was with a client and the rest looked involved in their work. I was surprised, yet again, of the attitude of the associates. I've been in twice before and was not acknowledge. I don't expect to be followed or served from the minute I walk in, but I do expect a friendly hello or smile at least. As we shopped we looked at various pieces of furniture and made it outside. The weather was crummy so we didn't stay outside long. As usual I found a decent selection of modern planters, plants and greenery, but still no service. At this point I think I'll take my business elsewhere. I never really found them to have the best of quality in furniture anyhow, so here's another reason why I'll skip them the next time I'm shopping.

Yelp
As I tried to start writing this review, I mainly just started fantasizing about what my apartment would look like if everything was straight from the Jayson Home & Garden showroom...and that led me to think about if I had more than one room to decorate... The first time I was around the area, I just passed by and admired the beautiful garden and outside accessories. I made the blind assumption that they only were about the "garden." Well, I was wrong. I came here the second time with purpose, as they were having their "antique flea market" and wanted to see more about the "room" aspect of their business. There was a giant white tent full of fabulous antiques, but they were also sprinkled throughout the showrooms inside. Then I fell in love with all of the amazing indoor plants that would look beautiful in my bay window, a coffee table made of reclaimed wood and metal, and the list goes on and on. The top floor is a great inspiration if you're looking to seamlessly combine old and new in your apartment. They have many unique pieces, creating the ideal casual, comfortable atmosphere. This took way too long to write because I kept thinking about all of the other pieces of furniture, plates, and silverware that they have and I want to someday in the near future own.

Yelp
I would move into this place if I could. that being said Blondie's review is dead on- everything is beautiful but it'll cost you an arm and a leg. Now being a designer I'm used to sticker shock this place would fit right in or be on the lower side at the Mart but since it's open to the public... lets just say its not Pottery Barn. I bought my first $30 candle here... on sale and I'm ruined for life. It was the best smelling candle I've ever had and it's gone now. Puts a new perspective on Money to Burn.

Yelp
This place is amazingly well put together and has a ton of unique home furnishings to choose from. We have bought items for our home from here, albeit sparingly, because the prices can be a bit high. However, it's not for someone that wants to furnish their home in one fell swoop, but add a little character to their space with a unique item. Leland helped me during my purchase and is super-informed as well as helpful. Jayson Home never pushed product on us either and we have probably browsed there more than we have bought. They have a spectacular outdoor plants section that is great in the summer. Whenever we want add to our home, we look here for inspiration, and whenever we can afford it, a purchase.
google avatar

Matt C.

Yelp
O.K. Guys, I am writing this review for your benefit.(say blowjob) Pay special attention to this one because it might help you to get out of the doghouse one day.... Jayson Home and Garden has the best cut flowers you can get anywhere in the city. In fact, many of the photos that accompany this page have come from my home. Lindsey and her staff of dedicated florists put together the most beautiful arrangements for your price range and on short notice if need be. Flowers are not the only things you will find for an impromptu gift at Jayson Home and Garden. You can find candles, coffee table books, soaps, pillows, throws and furniture. Take it from me, a little thoughtfulness every once in a while goes a long way. In the winter they carry a wide selection of live Christmas trees and in the summer they have a great nursery with live plants. If you like live planters but do not have the greenest thumb, they will build a planter for your enjoyment. They do get rather busy during the summer months, so give them some time for this service. Seriously guys, take some advice from a pro. Make your lady feel special with an unexpected gift from Jayson and you won't regret it.

Yelp
This place is awful. Display furniture looks old and worn. Customer service is lacking. People barely looked at us when we walked in and on my way out I said thank you to our "helper" three times - once right to her face - and she never said anything back. Designs are old and out dated. Don't waste your time. Yuck!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything inside of Jayson is beautiful, there is no doubt about it. The buyers there have exceptional taste. The staff is super friendly. The only downside? Anything you buy will cost you an arm and a leg. If you are looking for a signiture piece, you will find it here. Do not go here if you are looking for a bargain, because even the sale items downstairs are for people with money to burn.
google avatar

Hanna A.

Yelp
I like Jayson Home and Garden. Expensive but you can get really great ideas for a creative home here. Check out their basement for deals on furniture, lamps and other home goodies. Definitely worth looking!

Yelp
I ordered a product online but it turns out the product was on back order. Unfortunately, I needed the the products asap. Jayson Home customer service contacted me immediately and notified me of the situation. They contacted the OEM manufacturer and tried to speed up the shipment to make my deadline. They even offered me free shipping costs! However, I could not move my deadline but the customer service speed and responsiveness at Jayson Home left me very impressed. 10/10 would do business with again.

Paul R.

Yelp
We ordered a Fiddle Fica tree and a beveled planter. Both were delivered within a week which was sooner than we thought, very happy. Because we both were at work we had our condominium maintenance team allow them to bring the plant into our unit. That night we noticed a few scratches on the planter, which we paid good money for. I emailed Jayson Home that night regarding our desire for a replacement. Within 12 hours we heard from the owner and a customer service person both apologizing for the issue. Two days later they replaced the planter and we receive a follow-up email this morning asking if we were happy. The point of this review is to applaud JH for outstanding customer service, and offering a quick solution. Both added to a great experience.

Yelp
The best home and garden store in Chicago/Midwest! Incredible space to view their amazing selection of custom made home furnishings and accessories. One of the best places to go in the city too if you are a city gardener. They stock lots of interesting and unusual trees, shrub, perennials etc suited for shady, small, urban gardens! You will love this place!

Yelp
Lovely store. Wish I could purchase everything in the place. A bit expensive, but the quality is all there. I went in recently and Harriet helped me find exactly what I needed. Very attentive service. In the summer they have a great plant selection in the courtyard!

Yelp
This place is amazing. If you are like me, and don't enjoy the process of looking for antique/vintage housewares, but DO very much enjoy the obtaining of such objects, this is the place for you. They have the most beautiful things, carefully curated so it looks like someone just placed a 200-year old French bar there, but oh wait - it's too cool for that! We bought a desk here that cost us about half our mortgage payment for a month but was totally worth it for the unique beautiful piece that we got and for the friendly service we received. When (?) I become a millionaire, I will be back again and again. Just hope that ancient French bar is still for sale...;)

Yelp
I come here often to steal design ideas-- I check out their tablescapes and shelving arrangements. There is always cool stuff to look at however it's overpriced and usually a variation is available at the Home Goods across the street. The floral arrangements are excellent and the succulents are beautiful. My biggest issue and the reason why I rated this store 3/5 is the staff. I've never been helped, questioned, aided, whatever by anyone who is "working" there. On one occasion I asked the man who's always styling the flowers, (homeboy is very talented but has ZERO manners or communication skills) "how do you arrange the succulents without the roots?" HE DIDN'T ANSWER ME! He just kept his head down and continued working! I looked at my mom and she just said "ok. Time to go." I refuse to actually give this store my business, I think it's bizarre that they are able to maintain a clientele while treating people the way they do. Anyway, I'm going to keep going and keep stealing ideas.. thanks for the free design service, I guess.

Yelp
I went in today, and I wasn't even greeted. I was ready to drop some serious cash because I am in desperate need of some unique furniture that I could have delivered asap. I have an interior designer but sometimes I just want to look by myself. I am decorating two homes. A city and a country home. I did two laps upstairs, thinking someone would ask me if I needed help. I was the ONLY person in the store! ??? Finally, went downstairs and the gentleman asked me if I needed help. Wow! Finally talked to a human! I didn't feel like dragging him upstairs bc I was already annoyed. So went back upstairs for the 3rd run around, finally someone asks me if I need help. Too late... I used to buy TONS of stuff here. Even my Xmas trees. Not anymore. The only reason I am giving them two stars is b/c I miss what they used to be.

Yelp
Favorite home decor / plant stop. A dangerous place. Prices are up there, but all good are quality. Totally worth it!

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go and get inspired. It's on the pricey side for me, but they still have smaller affordable items that I pick up. The smell alone of this place makes me fall in love every time. If you have been, you know what I mean. If you love all things home decor, go to this beautiful place. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Nice place. Beautiful container gardens. Staff outside very nice; when I was inside I was ignored. Staff was too busy speaking w each other to acknowledge me. Prices were a little high, but plants were beautiful.

Yelp
The one thing that I'd like to add to the other reviews is that after comparing the pricing on a sofa that I love in stock at Jayson Home (made by Mitchell Gold) and the same sofa at Mitchell Gold, Jayson Home wins. To parrot what others have said, this place is a design mecca in Chicago. A great place to go to get inspired.

Yelp
I am glad that Chicago has a home furnishings store of the calibre of Jayson Home. It is a place that I love to come to to get inspiration in decorating my place. Nomadic rugs, beautiful pillows, decorative items and mirrors, antiques and contemporary furnishings. Jayson Home has it covered for you. If you have a yard check out the gardening center outside. This place is awesome and I can't recommend this place any higher, but as a cautionary word, I will add, that this is not some huge emporium, but a small local business. Support it.

Yelp
I hate writing negative reviews, but...I went to Jayson to buy fall flowers as I could not find what I was looking for anywhere else (ornamental peppers and kale). The sign said $5 & $6 per plant, however, when I checked out, they were rung up at $7.95 per plant. When I questioned it I was of course told it was for different plants even though the sign was on the table that the plants I purchased were on. I proceeded to buy them anyway as I had looked everywhere else in the city with no luck. 2 days later I was at Home Depot and went out to the garden center for soil when, alas, I saw a huge rack with tons of peppers and kale. I asked the sales associate for the price, she told me they were $2.48 per plant but they were on sale for $1! I had looked at 2 other Home Depots with no luck which is why I ended up @ Jayson. I understand paying more at an interior design store vs. a hardware store but $7.95 compared to even the $2.48 for the exact same thing is crazy! BTW, the sales associate that helped me in the garden center was nice and polite, so I have no complaints about the service on my visit, just the price.

Yelp
I like to go here to see what the creative buyers and Visual display people have come up with. As far as the actual merchandise, I see a concentration of a lot of things mass produced in Asia and marked up significantly among a smattering of one-of-a-kind things marked up ridiculously. But the displays are assembled beautifully. My one attempt at actually purchasing something major was sadly cut short because I didn't like the smarty pants remarks made by the tres tres important staff. It was during their Mitchell Gold sale last year. BTW, you can buy Mitchell Gold a lot of places, so I just left. The EXACT fountains, flowers, dishes, candles, and most everything else can be found slightly less expensive at other boutiques. Shop around a bit and this place quickly looses its allure.

Yelp
When I walk in and see the staff talking with each other and actually having a great time at work, I feel I am spending my money at the right place. I am a huge fan of the garden section. I understand the difficulties of dealing with very specific customers, as I am one of them. This woman assisted me, and offered me constructive comments offering the freshest of flowers, even if they contrasted my initial proposals. Working with the public everyday can be quite exhausting, and if a girl with a piercing in each nostril can come to Lincoln Park amidst all its glory and show the love her job to a random customer, then I know I'm a fan.
