Jazmin’s Bakery & Donuts San Fernando

Just a quaint little bakery that might be over looked if you rushing through. The service is charming. If you have any questions they'll answer you with kindness. Everything that I've tried has been scrumptious, from the cookies, doughnuts,sweet bread, to the pastries. I highly recommend you stop by and grab something sweet. You can even eat your treats right outside the store in the small seating area they have. Or just make your way to the Palmas park a few blocks up.

$3.50 for the flattest driest tamales I’ve ever bought. Never ever in my life have a bought a coffee and they charged me for the tiny coffee creamers. They charge $.75 per creamer… Absolutely wild. At one point this place was so delicious I definitely won’t ever return.

My husband and I visited this bakery a hand full of times every time we drive to LA from San Francisco we chose to go to this bakery because it’s one of ours favorites from few weeks ago liked. Unfortunately after a long drive from San Francisco we decided to stop by this morning get some of our favorites items from this bakery bad choice there is a rude female employee who help us with our order apparently warmed up our breakfast sandwiches 2 and 2 tamales in the microwave for 20 seconds make this story less long our food is completely cold still have 45 minutes to we reach our destination was excited to have a warm breakfast was not the case. The female lady there definitely needs some attention with her costumer service and attitude. I mean we paid for the food that can’t even eat or enjoy because is cold. We paid for was not for free. Definitely her services need some serious attention.

We had a bday surprise for my sister so we needed a cake in Slymar. A friend told us to check this place. Cake was ready when I got there. All our guests absolutely loved the Mocha Chocolate cake we got. We saved the Cappichino cake for another day

The tamales are one of the worst I ever had. For 2.50 each very little meat and very very dry . I have eaten tamales all of my life from California to Mexico and have come across some bad ones but nothing like these and for the price of each. We make our own for the holidays and I sorry to say how ever gave these tamales a good review don't know tamales 👎👎👎👎👎👎

I love the tamales but they are pricey. The fruit tarts are delicious. I bought a 3 leche mocha cake not good super super sweet you could just taste the sugar. The bread is good too. Service is good too.

Staff is always welcoming and very helpful. Tamales are delicious and full of meat not masa like other places.

The cakes taste good. I ordered the simplest blue cake with a yellow smiley face, and the lady was just not happy to take my order. She kept on making little complaints as I was talking to her and it was getting annoying. They should really hire someone else who is great in customer service. Mole tamale is delicious! Salvi style 3.25each Pork ok, dry. Come give them a try! Service is great, very friendly. Inside is clean, not much eating area, but GP outside and enjoy it. Go to a nearby park.

Ham & Cheese con jalapeño is FIRE. Will come back again. Great service. Love the variety of menu items

They have the best tamales ever, pollo and chicken are amazing. They also have the best cakes. They are extremely decent priced. I highly recommend coming here.

I go here for their tamales and champurrado. Wow. I've tried most of them and my favorites are Chicken , Rajas (cheese w peppers) and Elote (white corn) and puerco (pork). They also offer mole and green pork. Amazing every time i get them.

I was really excited to place an order for my boyfriend's cake. However I was slightly disappointed towards the end. I communicated with someone online if they can create a cake for about 30 people. They were able to accommodate and asked if I had a design in mind. I sent over the image and asked if they can make it into tres leches. They did notify me that it might leak due to the cake being extremely moist, but I didn't mind because that is his favorite flavor. I called a day before the pickup at 9 a.m. if they can convert the cake for 15 people instead because half of the group canceled on me. They told me they weren't able to because it is a custom cake. I had a feeling but I was hoping they would. They following day around 1 p.m. I picked up the cake and asked for my copy of the receipt and the cashier only handed me the small white receipt with the total amount. I asked if I can have one of the the receipts (the one that contains both yellow and white receipt). She said she can't because that is for them to keep but in reality, I wanted to read if it had any policies such as fees, cancellations, modifications that I can be aware of for future reference. The presentation of the cake was beautiful and it is exactly what I asked for. As for the interior, it wasn't. The cake was not tres leches and it tasted really dry. It was almost as if you can also taste the refrigerator. A lot of my guest were disappointed and I spent a pretty penny for the cake. I like to support locals and mom and pop shops but this one left a bad taste and I was really devastated.

I love coming to Jazmin's bakery for tamales in the morning. They usually run out later in the afternoon so you can call to make sure they still have your favorites. Today I ordered two tamales for breakfast. I got one of my favorite tamales, Mole. It's wrapped in a banana leaf and then foil and served piping hot every time. I also tried the pork rib tamale with green salsa today. The spice levels of the tamales were mild but they were full of flavor. The rib does have a bone but it slides off the bone. I think the bone gives it extra flavor. My favorite tamale is the green chicken and that one is a bit spicier. You can also get salsa on the side. I've tried the tamales from Vallarta and they are dry, reheated and have hardly any meat. Save yourself the hassle and go to Jazmin's Bakery instead. I also ordered a Torta de Pavo for lunch and the sweet woman makes it fresh to order. The workers are bilingual and the menu's are in English and Spanish. This is a great place for the whole family. I'd recommend to stop by before visiting the cemetery or after church. Be sure to try the pan de elote.

I've been going here for years and they have not disappointed love there chicken tamales and cheese and jalapeño. Tamales if you haven't tried please do

Their pie de elote is absolutely delicious!!! I had my moms bday cake made here at Jazmins. The lady in charge of the cakes (can't remember her name) was so kind an helpful and made suggestions. The cake looked beautiful and it was delicious. My mom said it tasted home made, she loved it and so did the guests. If you can get your hands on the mole tamales they are delicious as well. Just call ahead of time since they don't always have them.

Open early and has delicious double chocolate cake. They were very helpful and friendly. The cake was a hit and very reasonably priced.

I ordered tamales for Christmas. I was told that these tamales were good so I went to try them . The puerco tamales were good . The pollo with green sauce was also very tasty , however it was a bit too spicy. I tried the queso con rajas and the flavor was very good but i would've liked for them to have more cheese . I didn't really see any cheese . Overall i would say the tamales were good .

Disgusting!! I went in there to order a dozen of fruit tarts for my event this up coming weekend but they didn't have any for me to try. So I didn't place the order and I'm glad! I got This flan to go and it's not sweet at all!! Never going there again!!

I had always passed by but never actually bought anything from this bakery and finally I did. I decided to give it a try after my "always go to" bakery told me they "couldn't make" my vision happen, I was really disappointed but in the end everything worked out perfectly fine. Jazmin's Bakery actually went above and beyond my expectations with my order, I was really happy when I saw the final product and even more when my guests complimented the taste. Definitely coming back!!!

Not impressed. Called in An order from breakfast sandwiches And tamales. The sandwiches were in Saran wrapped, but they were cold. I was under the impression that they were made to order considering it was a phone order? Ordered the chorizo, beans & egg bolilo. It DID NOT have any chorizo. It was good after I warmed it up in the microwave and added cheese to it. Disappointed that it didn't have chorizo. My parents ate the queso and Rajas tamales, and my dad who is not picky did not like them. He said they seem like the masa was undercooked! When we got them, they were warmed. I don't understand how that could be. Pan Dulce was mediocre, not enough for me to return. It's a no go for me.

Yes!!! They have the most delicious tamales I've ever had! I have been looking for good tamales in The Valley and these are it! The cheese tamales and chicken tamales are amazing but they do tend to run on the spicy side. If you don't mind it these are the perfect amount of spice but you can also ask for salsa for an extra charge. Tamales are about $3. Tip: I usually call ahead before going to make sure they have the tamales I want and the amount. They usually sell out quickly. * they speak Spanish Este lugar está delicioso. Yo vengo por los tamales son muy ricos! Yo estado buscando buenos tamales en el valle y estos son. Si pican un poco. Y puedes pedir por salsa pero cuesta un poco más. Iced Blended Mocha: absolutely no taste. Customer service was super friendly. Visually appealing for your Snapchat or Instagram and thats it.

We came here because we heard the tamales were great. However when we asked about the prices of a few things (we weren't able to see the prices), the lady said "can't you read the prices". After letting her know that we were unsure she still didn't want to tell us. We just asked a simple questions, and unfortunately she was unable to provide it.

Ordered a cake for my daughter's 4th birthday. It was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. And very delicious. Will recommend to others. Can't wait to order another cake.

Ordered this cake 2 days before I needed it. Made sure to go in and ask if they would be able to do it and they very kindly took my order. The cake was perfect! The price wasn't terrible either for a very last minute thing and it came out very beautiful. The bread is fluffy and it's flavorful and highly recommend this bakery. The inside is quaint and small and have a variety of pan dulce along with iced coffees and juices.

This place is known for the their tamales de pollo but every time you come they never have any. I don't know why they don't produce more of those when they know they sell out all the time!!! MAKE MORE OF WHAT YOU SELL OUT OF!

We ordered 100 churros back in July for my son's 1st Birthday. We lived down the street so it would be a quick pick up. We totally forgot about our order in the set up and movements of the party. We didn't even realize that we forgot. We were still charged for them... but what we were really upset about is that we didn't even get a single phone call about the order. We get it... it was our fault for forgetting... but that's 100 churros that went to waste. They gave us our money back. So we appreciated that. Even though this left a bad taste in our mouths... we still come here... and will continue to come... we like the food!!!

Came in with hopes they can make my friends cake happen for her 21st and they did an amazing job!!! Showed them a inspo pic and they made it even better then i imagined! Thank you so much ! And there prices are reasonable, will be coming back here for other cakes

I threw my baby niece a last minute birthday party. The day of the birthday party, my sister and I forgot about the cake! (I know, crazy) lol. So we went to Jasmine's bakery that morning and ordered 2 cakes. When we told the lady that the cakes were for the same day she looked at us like *Shocked Emoji* however, they managed to get it done and the cakes came out beautiful and delicious! (The Hawaiian ones on the gallery). The price was also reasonable! I give this bakery 5 Stars :]

I came here to see if they had a tres leches cake available. After them telling me they didn't I said okay it's fine and I walked out. I'm half way to my car when one of the workers came to look for me when they said they did have one available. Although this cake was good, this is not a tres leches cake as it's too dry. Not mad, just disappointed.

I'm reviewing their cakes only. So after having a huge disappointment at my previous bakery I decided to venture out and find somewhere new. I came across this place and it's very hidden. So I decided to give them a chance. They did not disappoint. I really love their marble cake with banana filling. It's delicious!!! or their white cake with the strawberry frosting. It's save to say that I found my new place. They are always so nice and above all professional. They also do picture prints on the cake. Normally you would have to bring a copy to the bakery but not here. You just send it via text and bam its on the cake. Which is awesome, seeing as how I'm running all over trying to get birthday stuff done that's the last thing I remember to bring with me. So if you are looking for a new cake place, I highly recommend this one!!!!

I had a pastry and must admit that it was delicious. Although the service could have been better. The owner lacks people skills but her other staff is very friendly.

This place has the absolutely best tamales! Five-stars on this end. It is too small to sit there and eat (there are only a few chairs and tables) and it gets quite hot in there depending on when you go... But the tamales are quite worth it! And they accept debit cards.

Delicious bakery items and those chicken tamales( picadillo??) are excellent. Plus, if you need your Mexican comfort food fix early in the morning they open at 5 a.m.!

I am most familiar with the tamales. I especially love the chicken. It has just the right amount of spicy (might be too hot for those who don't do well with spicy food). They have a good amount of meat. I recently ordered a strawberry with white bread cake from them. It is surprisingly good. Not too sweet with a price point that is fair. Nice variety of desserts and they look amazing (I have yet to try them). Street parking is easily available.

Mmmm co worker brought us Napoleons for our lunch dessert.. Oh sooo good. Can't wait to try more of there pastries.. Sorry my pic shows an empty box but hey now u know we did enjoy them... Mmmmmm

I like this location it's really tuff to over look it, also, because it is between streets that are busy. I thought they just sold bread, but they also sell, smoothies, coffee drinks and Tamales. Today I went in, curious as always, place is small... seems like this is a re-occuring problem where I go now a days. It's very clean inside. Not a lot to choose from, they have there regular pastires such as, sugar donuts, chocolate donuts, glaze donuts, Churros, Halloween sugar cookies. Also desserts like, carrot cake slices, one with strawberry, smaller looking ones. Plus They have really pretty looking cakes that were tempting to buy, eventhough there was no special occassion for it. Smoothies of all the regular flavored fruits and what surpriced me was the blended coffee drinks, starbucks types, caramel, mocha, expresso, regular coffee, blended vanilla, 50 cents extra for shot of expresso. I can't recal the prices, but I believe I remember it being inexpensive. The donut was okay, I love them with a lot of sugar. The halloween cookie was good at least it didn't have that disguisting factory cookiee taste with plenty of sugar, blah! The tamale was super hot, I LOVE IT, but to little meat, and massa so that sucked, but good taste, really authentic mexican taste. Over all good experience.

I was very disappointed with the 4 Oreo cheese cake I purchased on 4/16/2017 I sliced them up into many little sample pcs and everyone that had a taste didn't like them, including myself. I also purchased 8 strawberry cookies and 4 hart cookies and they all tasted old... i am a true believer in supporting our local business... but I also expect top quality baked goods.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned their pie de elote?! That is the most amazing pie I've ever tried. So simple but so delicious. My Tia brought it to a party once and I'm hooked! I will drive across the valley just to get my hands on this!!!

I stopped by here because I had to pick up something quick for a meeting at work. I ended up buying a little bit of almost everything. It was my first time here and I wanted to taste test. The fruit tarts were good. The tamales were a little too dry for my taste, but the fillings were tasty. I'm leaving the best for last... that Elote Pie!!! Omg.. it was delicious!! The consistency was a bit more rich than a flan, but it tasted like a sweet elote tamale. I would definitely come back just for this elote pie!!!

This morning was the first time patronizing this establishment. I ordered a mole tamale and one Chile Verde. The Chile Verde was one very thin tamale. They skimped on the masa and filling. I took the mole tamale to go and as soon as I took the unfortunate first bite it had one long hair!!!!​

disgusting service we were goana order cake and she has stupid girls that don't know how to help u and we came back and the owner and the girl said she couldn't come out and the worker was being so so rude and then the owner came out not to help us but to help someone else and the girl was verry rude and no help cakes are good but service is horbile and we came on sunday and the same cakes they sale for fast pickup if you need cake we're there from sunday and today is tuesday witch is verry unsanitary

First time ever visiting this bakery the environment is great and the employees are really polite and quick their products taste wonderful! And their prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!

Their variety of fresh pastries and traditional mexican breads as well as all time favorites are sure to please anyone. In addition to their fresh bread they have a wide variety of mexican tamales that they make daily. I've yet to find better tamales in all of San Fernando and Sylmar. I will wake up extra early to make sure I have time to stop by for a tamale before work...
