The music was great. The food was good. The wait staff was friendly. The atmosphere was fun. Put an adjoyed it anymore. And it was really nice to have parking, right across the street, five dollars goes to a good cause

What an EPIC weekend at this fantastic club!!!! This is an awesome, safe, clean venue to listen to live music. 🎶 🎶🎶 We loved the venue and the staff are all so very hardworking and very nice. Especially Randy and Tony the security guys!! They are efficient and professional and kept the environment safe. My wife felt very comfortable. 👍 Patronize this establishment only if you want to listen to great music and a warm and inviting atmosphere!! 🎶🎶🎶🕺🏻💃🥃

#sirsy I love you, thank you, for educating me of Stacy Jones Band #stacyjoneaband was spot on with love ... rocking with both bands. Worth the 1.5 hr drive x 2 ways. Great place too. Thank staff for your amazing service. P S my husband forgot my nachos sad face love the green dipping sauce.

Saw Coco Montoya here this month with the Joel Astley Band opening the show. This was our first time here and we got in line at 7 pm when the doors opened. There was quite a crowd in front of us but once we got inside a nice lady we met in line led us right upstairs and we got great chairs in the front row of the balcony. The place did seem close to capacity but never too crowded. The dance floor was busy all night but we had maybe the best seats in the house to take it all in. Both bands were excellent and the crowd was appreciative. For us, the bonus this evening was how well behaved and and respectful everyone was during the evening. It may have been the higher then average age but our experience this night at Jazzbones was perfect.

Google
Super busy place, the live band Hell Belles bring a full crowd. Good sound and visibility to the stage, good sitting space, and plenty of room to stand. With two bars, the wait for the drinks was acceptable, great cocktails and decent prices. Their live band program is awesome, lots of variety and usually good bands.

Google
Energetic and great vibes! Enjoyed dancing and singing to Diva Feva tonight with my family and friends! Appetizers are delicious and the mix drink tasted great. Servers are so attentive and friendly. The venue has 2 storey sitting, with 2nd floor being open to the 1st floor and the stage. Parking could be very difficult, there's no parking lot allocated for the venue so there's a street parallel parking or nearby businesses parking.

REMEMBER TO CLOSE YOUR TAB! Husband forgot to close his tab so the tender decided to tip herself. We actually intended a higher tip but the fact that they do not answer their phones, voicemails, and decided to charge me more than a party of eight automatically was a huge turnoff. Besides that the music is all right.

Google
We enjoyed our time here and it was a much needed break from a crazy work week. We came in to let our hair down and met at door with a smile. The live band was amazing and the food was okay (not the best) but okay. I am still giving 5 stars because of the customer service.

Yelp
Finally! AC/DC all female tribute band Hells Belles. My wife Laurie never wanted to see AC/DC live as too much screeching in her view. BUT: she loved last night watching Hells Belles at Jazzbones in Tacoma and we both had a great time! The lead singer's voice was very clear so Laurie loved the show! It was my first time seeing this band and never saw AC/DC live ever, just played them loud and proud. Here is couple short videos as place was packed to the limit! Enjoy. Way to go Jazzbones for another awesome show ! And Rachel helped book this show. Was nice meeting the owners too.

Yelp
OK, so here's the deal. It's a nice venue quite cozy more intimate than the larger one, but the customer service really sucked. I had to ask for my bill six times and it was wrong and then the waitress copped an attitude and was rude the rest of the night Because I did not tip because they already included an 18% tip on my bill for just me that's absolutely ridiculous. The comedy was good. The parking street parking so that can be a pain in the butt as for the food it's hit or miss. I mean it's all fried food so Nothing exceptional or unique. It's just basic bar. Oh let's address the drinks as well. Don't order no fruity pretty Fūfu drinks because they're overpriced and will be watered down if you wanna drink go for a straight shot.

Yelp
Past 2 decades some of the best live shows great food fantastic service December 20, 2024 my friend and I went to Sun King Tribute to The Cult 25.00 to get in we were at the front of the stage great band out of nowhere this woman turns around pushes through us causing a commotion. Next thing I know the bouncer comes to the front of the stage escorts my friend out. Owner was so rude told her to get out not come back wouldn't give me a refund. JazzBones has really went down hill. I don't care who is playing there I will not go back nor will I speak highly of it as I once did.

Yelp
I haven't been to this location for years. But decided to go to see a band that I love. We decided to eat before we came just because I thought it might be a little bit busy as they opened at seven p m and the music starts at eight. That said, the kitchen would be very busy early on, and it might take a long time to get any grub. So this is not a review on the food but the venue itself. There is a lot of great seating, with several levels and floors, and most have a pretty decent view of the stage. There's a very large dance floor and a bar up and downstairs, which makes it very convenient. We ordered a full bottle of wine and could cork it and take it home after the show. This just stopped too many lineups at the bar. We sat upstairs and in the highest section with great seating and view. The sound was not the best, At first, I thought it was the band that opened thinking that they might not have the best sound, but the main headliner also sounded kind of terrible. I'm not sure if the venue does the sound or if the act bring their own sound people but it must be a tough place to get the sound right because it was not anything to write home about. We still enjoyed the show. Got a little dancing in and have a great time.

Yelp
Went last night to watch a Beatles tribute band. We always go early to enjoy dinner there as they have always had a great selection of food items. Well to our disappointment ownership has changed and the food items were basically quick fried foods(photo of menu attached). We chose the mozzarella sticks as what can go wrong with that, well they were not served with any sauce so we asked for marinara sauce and were given ketchup!! We again ask for marinara sauce not ketchup and we're given some type of salsa, we gave up on asking for marinara! Also the cheese was cold inside! The plus to the evening was seeing the previous owner Rachel and the bartender Denise there, they both are great! We did meet the new owner Keanu and expressed our disappointment of the food choices, hopefully it'll change but until then we'll continue to watch the bands but will eat elsewhere before hand!!

Yelp
I didn't see many about the food and drink so here's the current menu. The food came fast and was great. The bartender upstairs messed up the drinks twice and gave us both plus brought a shot of what they thought they forgot, not even mad. Only real negatives were the sound system wasn't managed well the mics were way too low you could only tell the cover song by the melody and not enough bathrooms especially when they had to close one for the night from someone throwing up . Security was great and handled the intoxicated/rowdy quickly.

Stacey J.

Yelp
We bought the higher-priced reserved tickets and had absolutely NO view of the stage. The whole point of a live music venue is seeing the band! The only way we could see anything was to stand up, lean over a counter and a plexiglass barrier, and crane our necks downward. Bad bad bad!

Aaron G.

Yelp
Garbage 30% service charge for tickets to a show. Was not able to complete thievery transaction online.

Katie C.

Yelp
Great small place for what we went there for. HELLS BELLS it was awesome and many years ago.

Sara K.

Yelp
What a wonderful little place. Plenty of options to choose from and was the perfect venue for the show we attended. Parking is kinda minimal but to be expected.

Cecilia H.

Yelp
At this club to listen to some music... a lot of slow songs and the band MVP takes long ass breaks. It's not worth it when the band is gone longer than they play. So far not impressed. They know how to kill the party vibe.

Katherine R.

Yelp
Too bad there isn't a negative star. Like others we will never EVER return to this venue. They do not answer their phone, do not respond to emails or messages. People wait 1 to 2 hours for food. Sound is terrible. There is no place to sit downstairs unless you manage to get a reserved table. Understaffed and the people working there are rude. Management is worse. Patrons are standing outside on the street for an hour to be first in line - no early entry so people can be seated and eat before the show. They do not assist or accommodate patrons with disabilities. There is NO parking in that area and patrons are walking blocks to the venue. It took us 25 minutes to find a parking spot 3 blocks away. That part of 6th Ave is also unsafe - assaults, the occasional shooting nearby. Horrible venue and staff and horrible experience for all of us.

Susan H.

Yelp
We had never been to this venue before and were looking forward to seeing Hells Belles for the first time. Ordering tickets was easy enough and the Will call experience was smooth. what didn't go so well was that the place was way too crowded. we stood in line for an hour and still were stuck in the nosebleed seats. We couldn't see the band at all except for on the big screen and we could've stayed home for that. They didn't seem to prepare well for the amount of people and it was difficult to get food or drinks. We were concerned that there was an emergency people would not be able to get out. We won't be back again.

Yelp
Bar staff are nice but the people manning the door are just rude and there client tell are not the friendliest people. Will not be going back to this place again.

Yelp
I've been to Jazzbones for several shows now in 2 years. As a person who's been there as an audience member and goer and also someone who's also worked for a band that's played there, there is a lot about this place to unfold. As a goer: They are extremely high in price for drinks they are Seattle prices, not very good mixed drinks or balanced between alcohol and mixers. The food is ok but not great. They're sound system for the last two shows is either the sound guys terrible job doing or their speakers sound like they're blown out and static. As someone who's worked with a band: Don't work with flash as a promoter. He's definitely not worth any hype. He doesn't promote well nor pays bands adequately. The crew that was there was extremely rude to the band that was playing didn't even give them a proper sound check. And was more focused on their headliner that didn't even bring a 1/4 of the crowd. The owner is far better to work with directly she's sweet but think if she's going to go through anyone for business of entertainment she should drop working with the crap promoters, terrible sounds guys that can't really do their jobs and give bands a proper set up it be a decent place minus the high drink prices. The parking is terrible, setting up and take down is ridiculously out of hand, too small of a place, the stage isn't meant to fit 3 bands and a lot of times they still do put that many on a bill, just taking the equipment up and off the stage and trying to get it outside is a nightmare. It would be nice if performers were allowed to park in the parking area rather than the streets all over the side walks. Over all I wouldn't care to go to this place. Or work this venue again for anyone. I'd recommend to any band or goer unless you have to go there, go somewhere else.

Yelp
Small room but amazing sounds. Love 80's rock bands here. Will come back over and over again

Joe Zeek S.

Yelp
What a blast. Live music, great food, good drink selection. . . Dance floor is a bit small downstairs, but eh, not a make or break deal. The bands here are high class usually, and a good sound system... What's not to love

Scarlett P.

Yelp
The food had underwear in it girlfriend was not happy we broke up. The girl I asked for drank the lady spit in it. It was chill until the bouncer found my gun in my butt he kicked them out so i took home a dancer.

Yelp
Been to Jazzbones probably 4 times. Always to see a performer, never on a random night. That being said Jazzbones is an intimate venue not too far from home that hosts some pretty great artists in intimate space. Capacity is about 300, so you're definitely pretty close to the performer which is great. Never had an issue with security in the front, they've always been pretty chill. Some shows are all ages in which case they have a 21+ bar area & upstairs area. Drinks are reasonably priced. Sound is great and there's a good view from pretty much anywhere. In the summer it can get pretty hot & stuffy , as I don't believe there's AC, but it's still worth it to see the artist (just wear less clothes ) lol. I will continue to return to Jazzbones to catch some great live music acts.

Yelp
I haven't been out in a while but my first experience here was good. The bartenders were friendly enough, drinks were good and I met some cool people to dance with. Went on a Saturday when they played good Hip hop & I had a great time. Forgot my coat inside at closing and an employee went in to grab it for me, much appreciated! Will definitely come again

Yelp
I went to Jazzbones a few months ago with my mom and her boyfriend for a night of karaoke and to get away from the normal scene that we go to every weekend. We're dart players and tend to frequent the same bars, but we also like karaoke and they were determined to get me up with a "live" band... So we ended up here! Bartenders are straight and to the point, with no bullshit. Pretty much what you'd expect from a bar in Tacompton. The crowd is okay. A pretty good variety - had quite a large group of twenty somethings all hanging out but had a fair share of the older crowd, too. There was a guy here who would NOT leave my group alone and there ended up being quite the altercation with him that landed him in trouble, which is why I probably won't ever come back here. Tacoma isn't my first choice of cities to go to EVER, and this just reaffirmed that. I think if you're coming here for a *hopefully* stress-free night without anybody like him to bug you, this is a fun place to be. The karaoke song choice is a little limited in my opinion, but since this place is so popular you really only get to sing once anyways (they'll give you a second song if they have time before their cut off, but they didn't the night I went).

Yelp
So far Jazzbones has been "A-OK" for the last 3-4 times I have been here. Drinks are just ehh like most bars, I don't really know how ordering and menus go so I get confused a lot. I liked the Jello syringe that was an interesting experience~ Too bad I don't know how to dance.. I wish I did though! I do like how they have a mini dance floor but then again they should remove those tables in the middle and let all those other people dance their butts off. I like the upstairs feel, its nice and cozy unless it's crazy full and people are dancing and drinking upstairs. So the point is though, I heard there was sushi... here at Jazzbones?! I have yet to see since each time I came, the kitchen was closed. Darn. I will come early enough someday to check out the sushi and then probably update my review. As for the people there... a ... lot... of weird... people. I mean I don't really know what to expect at a bar... (not exposed enough to bar settings yet). I've had some strange guys ask me for their number, hit on me.. oh man. Strange nights spent but it was still fun and interesting. I will be back (:

Yelp
Good food and great hip hop dance club! Everything they make is from scratch! Even their tortilla chips for their nachos are made from fresh tortillas! They have great fries and awesome music!

Yelp
I wish Yelp had a 0 star available for me to select. I'd like to shout out for the $14 shot of Henny that was a small shot. TAXIN AND I'd like to shoutout to the half bald head burgundy colored hair white Lady who needs more training with her "experience" as she told me. She kicked out my cousin because she dropped her wallet. First of all, I asked her in a SOBER and calmly manner as to why she needed to feel to kick out my cousin and she said, "we'll from my experience" and I was waiting for the proper explanation and she didn't say anything further. It was only 12 o clock and my family and I who are from Boston just arrived at 11:30. I would've understood if she was falling down and stumbling but she was dancing and took a seat to relax for a little bit and dropped her wallet once. I've attended to Jazzbones many times and this is the first time I have ever seen security escort any of my family out. I would not recommend because they need more training. They confused dancing with being drunk. Sorry not sorry for the review.

Yelp
What a farce. First off a single Hennessy is 17.00. Which currently we've ordered 2. I ordered an apple martini to be served non alcoholic apple flavoring. It was awful. I switched to a vodka pineapple only to find the pineapple juice wasn't real. Ok. Switch to wine .... I'd like a bottle of Pinot gris. "Oh we are out." Ok. May I have a small taste of the Reisling before I buy a bottle. "No." I just want a small taste. "No, the owner is here and she won't allow." Can I speak to the owner. "No." Ok. I'll take a glass of water. Complete bullshit.

Yelp
I've been here for a few shows. Great venue, ridiculously awesome sets! Two bars, good service! I've had some food, all have been good. IMHO, upstairs is the place to be if you come for a show, downstairs can get a little rowdy. Always a good time!
google avatar

Shaili S.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Right when we got there the server had attitude. Was trying to celebrate our friends birthday and they were just rude to us. We are never going there again! They wouldn't let our friend to grab his debit card. They are lucky I'm giving them 1 Star.

Yelp
Had a good time last night at the Hells Bells show. The kitchen was backed up and food was served cold. Other than that it was a really enjoyable night. Glad my wife convinced me to show up early. Would of been a completely diffrent night if we didnt get a table. Hope we find more artist to see here.
google avatar

Kord T.

Yelp
This is a great local live music venue. Quite a few Tacoma performers have started here and went on to do some great stuff (like Vicci Martinez). Sure, some nights are better than others, but that's true everywhere. Also the folks are great. For example, we were bummed because my wife lost her cell phone battery at a Nolan Garrett/Randy Oxford show. We called afterwards and they didn't have it. They even let us in the next day to look for ourselves and we didn't see it either :( But God is great! The moment I was looking up prices on the internet for batteries, Heather at Jazzbones called to say they found it. That's really going the extra distance re: service. It keeps us going back to Jazzbones for great music (and nachos). And the experience helped us keep the Faith that things always can work out. :)
google avatar

Nate F.

Yelp
So apparently that karaoke band is here every Thursday singing the same songs. It's kinda corny to me to be honest. Crowd was kinda dead that night but so was the entire 6th Ave. so I won't fault them. Drinks were watered down and it's kinda small for a music venue. The upstairs area looked like a cool spot though when it's actually people there. The music sucked. I might give this place another chance but for now it's a 2.5.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
Back in the day, there were so many cool jazz and blues, classic rockabelly or other great music. These days, is the younger crowd with music that fits the crowd. There is a whole another part of the population that you are now missing. Quality of food and service is down etc, not a spot I even consider anymore.....sighs
google avatar

Henny G.

Yelp
Super fun thing to do on Thursday. Nice crowd and play cool music for the most part . Go there sometimes the military dudes be very aggressive lol . Other than that great place
google avatar

Seth P.

Yelp
For a dive bar this place is a great place to listen to local bands and celebrate birthdays like I am tonight. I would suggest this place to anyone who enjoys live music and good service as they have a descent amount of seating and the service is descent and accommodating.

Yelp
First time going to Jazzbones in Tacoma. I would give it a 4-star for the venue and atmosphere. I would give it a 2-star for the food. As many other people stated the food could be awesome but it arrives cold. We ordered the bacon and cheese fries which would be awesome but they were limp/cold and the cheese was hard. If the timing of the food was fixed I'm sure the food would be alright. I would recommend having a bite to eat somewhere else and enjoy everything else that Jazzbones has to offer. It really is a fun place to go!
google avatar

Paxton T.

Yelp
I just happen to stumble in Tacoma's best jazz bar and I had a surprisingly great time. The customer service was sublime especially the bouncer named La. This place takes cash entrance, but La let me have a free pass since I only had card for the first time. After 10:30pm they have hip-hop and it gets crazy. Be sure to tip the staff, because they go above and beyond expectations. From SoCal most of my life I can honestly say the JassBones has shown great hospitality to great lengths. I will definitely introduce this place to my friends.

Yelp
A friend couldn't make it for a Janis Joplin and CCR tribute this last Saturday so offered me the tickets. I accepted graciously and trekked down to Tacoma for this first time adventure to Jazzbones. Venue is a bit quirky in that there was an upstairs area with bar and open space, with minimal seating... kinda like a cross between classroom meets balcony style. I didn't venture back up once we found a spot downstairs, but I feel like the open space up there filled in, with a bit of a younger crowd. Downstairs, where we sat across from the bar at a 4 seater booth and chair table, was pretty lively with a pretty good view of stage. Fair amount of seating downstairs with main area reserving fast apparently. Overall a mix of young (bachelorette party) and older peeps... I'd say majority in their 40s/50s. Great tribute music with CCR rockin' the place!! Great sound system set up there too. It got pretty busy quick and food did kinda take forevah (main reason for only 4 star). Garlic fries weren't so garlic-y, fried artichoke and coconut prawns delish tho. Wish I remembered our waitresses name as she apologized several times for the wait, and otherwise was attentive with our drinks, and very cool! Parked on side street in residential area. Area seemed pretty safe. Overall, if I'm offered tickets again for this venue, I'd venture down for the fun.

Yelp
Absolutely love the new ownership! Sunday fundays have never been better now that my friends and I have jazzbones to go to. Great food, takes a little bit but I would say it's worth the wait.

Yelp
I was in the group with BenJammin' and two other other long time music promoters (40 years) and I have to say it felt like we were in a Twilight Zone episode. After a marvelous meal across the street, we went into Jazzbones, I bought a couple drinks and $40. worth of merchandise from the band. I was shocked to hear that Ben had been bounced when given permission by the band- friends of his, to record and using painters tape for his recording setup as dozens of times before. I tried to make peace by talking to Ben, but the doorman misconstrued what I said to Ben, said I was kicked out too! When I tried to negotiate politely, he physically assaulted me grabbing my arm and shoving his chest in mine and verbally threatened me. I stated anyone working for me acting such would be fired immediately. We got our things and left. I have never seen such unprofessional management and door service in my life and I certainly will not go back until both have changed, if ever. I feel sorry for those who are certain to be treated similarly. If not with my friends, I would have filed a police report.

Yelp
Honestly I work in the service industry and I understand when a place is understaffed or under stress, but the bartender at this place was just plain awful. My subpar sandwich took an hour to finally get to me (was slammed on the table in front of me) and I was denied any compensation for waiting the entire time. Extremely rude. 1/10 rating.

Guillermo C.

Yelp
Wow really fun place. Mellissa the bartender did a great job making our big party feel welcome! Plus she made the best drinks and was very friendly!

Yelp
I came here with a friend and her dad & step-mom to see a concert on a Saturday night. We had reserved a table and when we got there the booth was covered in beer soaked towels near our table. We complained and they promptly cleaned it up and apologized saying it was likely the band. I think that's where the promptness ended. My friend and I sat at the table for about 15 minutes with nobody who came over. Not being sure if there was a waitress we went to the bar. Where we proceeded to wait about 5 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us standing there. Throughout the evening it was a mix of ordering from a waitress, who may have been one of two working the entire room I think, and ordering from the bar. Neither option was particularly quick and was frustrating. Once the band started playing it was extremely loud. We were sitting close, but it was that sort of volume where it's up so high that it's almost hard to enjoy the music. I know I sound like an old lady there, but you know what I'm talking about! They have a balcony area upstairs. Given it was no fault of the bar, but someone dropped their drink from up there and it splashed all over my friend's dad and even me, sitting under the balcony, got some drink on me. They apparently have a food menu, but we were never offered one, but I did see people eating. They also appear to have a sushi bar in the back of the place, but we didn't give it a try. Overall, the service was extremely lacking here. The ambiance was unclear what kind of club/venue they were trying to be with their decorations and bookings. It's not a place I'd come again unless there was a great act performing...and even then I'd have to consider if it was worth it.

Yelp
Jazzbones is one of those places where because it is so far out (frickin Tacoma!!) most Seattlites don't know about it...and until you experience Jazzbones, you just don't understand..... My first experience at Jazzbones was at an Events and Adventures event... (see my review on Events and Adventures.) This was advertised as a karaoke event, and being the karaoke addict that I am, I was really stoked....this place doesn't just have karaoke.... on Monday's they have "ROCKARAOKE!!!" If you ever had a moment in your life where you wanted to experience the rockstar high...you need to take a Monday evening and get out to Jazzbones. "So what is this Rockaraoke that you speak of?" Well picture yourself on stage...with a rockin band, great sound system, and crowds of people dancing!! I thought to myself "Am I at a karaoke place? Or am I on my way to superstardom?" Anytime you want to shamelessly exploit your karaoke talents I totally recommend Jazzbones on a Rockaraoke night (MONDAY!) The food is great from the appetizers to the main-course items. They have a sushi bar, and the wait staff keeps the drinks coming. I seriously didn't find a thing wrong with this place (including the distance...for me it is worth the drive.) Since my first experience I have been several times, every time with the same result. ENORMOUS amounts of fun, cute guys and gals (kind of fratty...but eye candy nonetheless.) Tons of seating AND when it got closer to 10 or 11 people started dancing, while I was singing!!! (This is of course the biggest compliment to a karaoke addict like myself!) Price isn't too shabby! Get there early if you want to avoid cover, as well as getting yourself on the list to sing. I will go back, again and again. As long as there is Rockaraoke at Jazzbones, I am there!!!

Yelp
JB:( What happen to this place??????? I know times are hard but don't change what's good and what you are known for!!! Tacoma being what it is, I won't even start to go there but you don't have many options but Jazzbones has been around for a while and so many great artists and events have taken place here, that the lack of everything it once was made me super bummed and sad! Decided to come here for my friends birthday and unfortunately didn't look at the schedule but in the past that was never a real problem, tonight it was.... I think they are trying to go Hip Hop or maybe R&B, no made Top 40..... EXACTLY!!! and the crowd, meh......

Yelp
Live music - fantastic. Bartender aptitude and hustle - admirable. Drink selection and quality - good. Kitchen and food delivery - poor. Management and customer service - HORRIBLE. We were told last night that Jazzbones was under new ownership. And if our experience is any indication of how they're going to run it, they won't be open long. Kicking out a large group of your target demographic (mature adults with plenty of disposable income) simply because they were vocalizing frustration at not getting food after over 2 HOURS was a bad decision. Chicken strips, grilled chicken skewers, and a quesadilla aren't exactly difficult orders. And they were all on the "specials" menu, so you'd think the kitchen would be cranking these out in quantity. After waiting an hour and a half and seeing everyone around us get their orders, I tracked down someone (turned out to be a sympathetic security guy) and asked for help. I expected him to bring over a manager, but instead he brought us a couple plates of cold food which amounted to half our order. The chicken strips were room temperature and rubbery, as though they'd been sitting out for an hour. The skewers were not only half the size of what we'd seen others get, but they were actually cold. I could only guess they'd been frozen and inadequately cooked or reheated. Needless to say, none of it was edible. One of our party then went to a second bartender (who had finally arrived to help service the approximate 125+ people upstairs with us) and complained. That woman gave her some money back and said our order would be out immediately. Other customers seated near us overheard our conversation and told us the second bartender was part of the new ownership group. They too were experiencing poor service and improperly cooked food. After yet another half hour of waiting for food (during which we were solicited multiple times for jello and special drink shots) I went to the bar and asked to speak to the manager. The same 2nd bartender came over, and I asked about the status of our order. Once she realized I was part of the troubled party, she huffed dramatically and said it would be soon. By this time, I was in no mood for her attitude. I asked her why it took so long for such easy food (admittedly, I was cussing by now). She responded with more attitude than a spoiled 12 year old that she gave us back our money and was going to give us free food, acting like I should feel lucky for her generosity. She was now joined by the jello shot server who echoed her attitude and confrontational behavior. I then asked her for a little respect and apology for such horrible service. She and the server laughed in my face, shouted a sarcastic sorry, laughed again, spun in their heels and walked away. I went back to our table, told the rest of the group about the encounter, and resolved to take a picture of the manager/owner for a thorough social media review. She apparently saw me do this because a few minutes later, she came over smirking and told us we had to leave. I'm almost 40 years old, and I have NEVER been treated with such disdain by a restaurant or bar. Nor have I ever been kicked out. I'm not a big drinker, but I do enjoy live music with friends (preferably with food). Needless to say, Jazzbones will never get another dime from me, and I will make sure to tell everyone I know about this horrible experience.

Yelp
Great music. Needs updating. Six people in our group and everyone has a broken chair or stool.

Yelp
I have only been here for Monday night Rockaraoke so I can't vouch for any other night. But Rockaraoke can be amazing!!! Rockaraoke is karaoke with a live band! It's what you do when you're a karaoke addict and you just aren't satisfied with karaoke anymore. Rockaraoke is some next level ish. It's the same as regular karaoke in that you have a list of songs to choose from, and if you don't know all the words, there is a monitor with the words scrolling across for you to follow. The band here is actually really good and supportive, too. The emcee is always dressed up and kicks off the set - she really knows how to get the crowd warmed up! Even if you are too shy to sing, you will have a great time dancing on the dancefloor or watching the singers (most of whom are regulars and are really talented vocalists/performers). One thing to know is if you want to sing, you have to keep an eye on the stage before every set. When one person decides to start a line, it grows really fast and you might not get to sing unless you are paying attention to that. The first set starts at 9 and then the band takes a couple breaks. Each time, you will have an opportunity to line up again to get on the setlist. So if you want to sing early, get there early to peruse the songlist so you know what you want to sing. That way, you can be ready when the line starts to form! The only complaints I have are that the crowd is a little meat-marketty. But what can you expect really? When you have that many drunk people crammed into once space, it seems to just kind of naturally lean in that direction. Also, I ordered some sushi from the happy hour menu and I would not reccomend it. I should have known better really -sushi and rockaraoke? It was too good to be true.

Yelp
Pretty cool atmosphere, watched my friends band play this venue a few times. The sound is pretty dang crisp and sounds great for small stage. This visit I ordered the pepperoni pizza and the chicken tenders. Very tasty pizza for the price I must say! The chicken was not dry and fairly spicy so very enjoyable. I will def be back again to grub out & listen to some good reggae!

Yelp
Went for a weeknight show after work (work - always getting in the way of fun time!). . There was no time to grab dinner before so we ate there...I was hesitant at first but the menu has a great selection and offered good veggie options and ways to make it a little more healthy. They do have a sushi bar upstairs that is open a few nights a week, unfortunately it wasn't open on the night we were there. I got the Veggie Burger, better than most places but not the best I have ever had. Got it with a side salad that was just fine! Husband got a burger with bacon and an egg that was tasty if a little/lot greasy, but hey...it is bar food. Nice set up for dinning and watching the show but they also have a dance floor if you are in the mood to shake it. The sound was also great, which bars don't always have the best reputation for knowing how to mix music. Cant wait to go back!

Yelp
Service was middling, but not awful. Sound guy was awful, could barely understand the band singing, and I knew most of the songs - for a $15 cover charge I don't expect perfect, but at least understandable. Food looked awful, and we received our overpriced wine in a plastic cup with a straw! If you are looking for a dive bar with bad lighting, only somewhat clean, bad food, and horrible acoustics, this is for you.
