I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. This place is amazing!! I would recommend anyone to check this place out. To grab a bite or take it out to go. Like I haven’t ever had southern food before. I came all the way from California to try this place. I heard this place is one of the most popular food places to try and the food is fresh and high quality like a Michelin-starred restaurant. The hospitality and the service was amazing. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. It didn’t take long to get our food it was so fast. The Food was phenomenal!! exceeding my expectations. The drinks and food was so fresh and tasted like high quality ingredients. The Efficiency and punctuality of our server was very knowledgeable about the food and products. Was able to answer all my questions about what is in each dish or drink. Our waitress was always checking on us and making sure if we needed anything. I was completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service. I didn’t feel like a transaction or number. It was worth the price. Pricing was fair and transparent definitely value for money. Like the atmosphere and restaurant was put together so great. Showing and showcasing the history of town and the culture Cajun, Zydeco, blues, and jazz. The cleanliness of the restaurant was tip top shape. Shows that they care about customers health. Well-maintained furniture and a positive ambiance, and making me feel comfortable and welcomed, for me to encourage recommend any one to go here. I’m glad I made a trip to come eat at such an amazing restaurant. If I could give this restaurant 1 million stars I would. Thank you for making it a memorable experience. I definitely will be back again soon.

Google
We were really looking forward to trying this place but our experience was just ok. They seemed short staffed although the place was empty so it was probably staffed appropriately for the amount of people eating. The food came out very hot and it all tastes the same like they take a basic roux and made small variations for different dishes. It’s not terrible but it seems like they could make a little more effort and really have something worth the price. That said, there are too many better options in the same price range to go back.

The food was delicious! It's well worth the wait. Seafood portions are generous. You won't leave hungry. This place gives you every bit of your money's worth! The shrimp season well, the salad was fresh, the red beans were nice and creamy, and the chicken sausage gumbo wasn't bad.

If you have never stopped at Jazzy Pete's after a Honey Island Swamp tour you are missing out on both. The food here is absolutely amazing. Margo our server was outstanding. I would definitely ask for her every visit if I were a local. She is so sweet, patient and extremely helpful. Good customer service is hard to find these days but this young lady is exceptional. Please visit Jazzy Pete's and the Honey Island Swamp tours. You will not be disappointed appointment with either.

Google
We stopped by here on our way out of New Orleans and this place was all around amazing from the food to the service. We started with the Crawfish Fries and Traditional Oysters and the Oysters are going to be hard to beat from anywhere else because they were fantastic. We also got a Po-Boy that was wonderful, but we were too full at that point to finish it. Would definitely recommend stopping by this place!!!

Google
This place was AMAZING !!! We were on a gator boat tour at Honey Island Swamp tours and Captain Hunter recommended the fried frog legs...never had them before so we tried them and they were delicious 🤤🤤 Looks were deceiving, thought it was a fast food pick up spot and went in and it was a small restaurant, with great service and delicious and great portions. If you are in the area a definite must try. Had Softshell crab PoBoy. Was awesome.

Our first time visiting thia spot. Food looked absolutely delicious. Our waitress was so so so so Very very very helpful, customer service was top notch, she smiled the whole time we were there. Just as innocent, I think her name was Margo, please forgive me if it's wrong. Her personality is amazing. Our guest enjoyed the spot also. The establishment is New Orleans theme along with some tasty foods. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. We will definitely return.

Google
We decided to take a road trip with one destination in mind, Jazzy Pete’s!!! We were here for it and boy they didn’t disappoint! Our waitress, Margo was phenomenal! The food was served hot and cooked to perfection. The portions are large so there is plenty to go around, share, or take home for an instant replay. We ordered a little bit of everything. We had The lazzy Pete Po-Boy, Fried Oyster Po-Boy, Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, Grilled Chicken Alfredo Pasta, Debris Fries, Crawfish Fries, Cheeseburger with Fries and the Onion Rings. Nothing lacked luster. We will definitely return!

Yelp
On our way home from Pensacola to Texas we stopped her for dinner! Omgeee, so glad we did! We ordered the BBQ Shrimp po boy and the Crawfish and Shrimp Alfredo. It was all so good. We split both entrees! I even saved some bread from my po boy to clean the sauce off the bottom of the pasta bowl. So yummy!!! Don't forget to save room for dessert. The Beignet Fingers are going to be forever calling my name. They are amazing! Perfect how they are smaller and easier to eat. We didn't save room but we ate them anyway. Next time we will just share the pasta and get the beignets fingers too!!! Our waitress was awesome and the food came out really quick. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. We will be back!!!

Yelp
We got Crawfish Etouffee, Fried Oyster and Fish plate with gumbo side and the crawfish bread appetizer. Everything was super tasty- hot and fresh! Just off the highway too- outside New Orleans, we wanted some Cajun food before heading to the airport & it really hit the spot!
google avatar

Yelp
If the food is this good being delivered; I could only imagine actually going . Nice portions too .

Yelp
Simply put, if your ever in slidell and you want a really good poboy you have to try Jazzy Petes. There a true Nawlins sandwich joint. Gumbo, hit the spot, onion rings had a good seasoning to it but I had a black and gold, roast beef and shrimp, boy my stomach did a front flip and a backflip. A turtle cheezecake to top it all off yes and amen. Yeah It's got a café feel to it so its relaxing and quiet. Waiters and service, exceptional. Yepp that's about it, peace!

Yelp
My favorite place for a hot sausage po-boy! I use to come here for the dessert shakes but they don't have them anymore but everything else is still delicious. The service is fast and friendly and the surrounding gives you that New Orleans touch. My daughter loves their Cajun Alfredo Pasta dish and the crawfish bread makes ya wiggle in your seat dancing to the goodness. (About $20 per person)

Mark M.

Yelp
I had the jazzy Pete's Poboy and it did not disappoint. It was fresh full of flavor and plenty of shrimp! Definitely recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Tracy K.

Yelp
Spotted here on our way to Biloxi, got the Debris fries and had we known they were so big we would have only gotten a 7inch Po-Boy, but got the 12 inch and took half home. Their homemade rolls are delicious. Those debris fries, so good. The shrimp boot poboy was so flavorful! Sample of swamp juice, I ended up with a To-go cup. Very tasty! Great service
google avatar

larry b.

Yelp
The service was good and it had nice Saints memorabilia that's about all I can say good about jazzy Pete the gumbo liked flavor and had way too much rice and please never put green bell peppers in gumbo for crying out loud that is against all things Cajun. Pretty sure the fries were frozen. They had zero flavor. And worst of all was the roast beef Poboy. Absolutely no seasoning whatsoever and it didn't even look good on the bread. I took two bites and that's the way I left it where my lesson never again trust reviews like this one. I guess I can't win.

Judy G.

Yelp
Great food, great service! It seemed like a very busy restaurant. That usually means the food is good. Lol

Yelp
Came here on a Tuesday night with my coworkers on a friend's recommendation and I'll be honest that I was skeptical at first because it looked completely empty. However, we took that back quickly since the second we entered the door, we were greeted with such warm hospitality despite the restaurant preparing to close in about an hour. Honestly, our waittress was so attentive and friendly that it made our experience 10x better. I would give her a shoutout but we never caught her name ): We ordered the Cochon de Lait Po Boy , Crawfish Etouffe, Crawfish Fries, and Debris Fries. Everything came out well seasoned , huge portions, and absolutely delicious and comforting. I would honestly come back for that Cochon de Lait Po Boy again because that thing was delicious and humongous. The fries had great flavor but I wouldn't order them again unless they were more crisp - just a heads up if you're not into soggy fries. If you're in the area and looking for something to eat, definitely give Jazzy Pete's a shot. There's something for everyone here and your money will go a long ways.

Yelp
The jazzy Pete poboy is an amazing combination of fried shrimp Patton's hot sausage & amazing sauce. Worth every penny

Yelp
Went for a quick lunch. Here you go. Server 5 Atmosphere 4 Sticky floors 2 Gumbo 2 Hot sausage poboy 5 Catfish poboy 4 Cold beers 5 Service 5 This is a nice place and more to like than not. The server was excellent and the food was good. Hate a sticky floor and that is easy to fix. My sausage sandwich was excellent and the bread was as expected. My gumbo was very average and I missed the Okra which is always in ours at home. My wife liked her catfish poboy and we both loved the fries. For some reason it won't let me post the pics. I would go again and again.

Travis R.

Yelp
This place was fantastic! Went there looking for a po bay and got great service, atmosphere and food! Bonus they had delicious daiquiris. I have already been back with plans to go back in the near future!
google avatar

Geoff S.

Yelp
We stopped here for a quick bite before the swamp tour. The gumbo was surprisingly great and both of our po boys were good. My son's eyes were bigger than his stomach (see photo for the most massive po boy you'll ever see). Great option if you're in the area!

KJ M.

Yelp
Great food. Very generous portions and food is ready very quickly. Good service, and prices are average for the times.
google avatar

Jen B.

Yelp
Ok, now I'm upset. I ordered the same shrimp poboy 3 weeks ago and it was sublime . But last night??? Small , way too many poop trails left behind. That was all I could see with every bite. Asked for extra lettuce and mayo. Didn't get that. Not happy at all. Disappointed really

Yelp
This restaurant was a great find after our swamp tour. There were 12 of us and they got us in quickly. Our server, Margot, was so great! Our favorites were: bbq shrimp, chicken fettuccini Alfredo, the onion rings were amazing!, the jazzy Pete poboy, and the po little rich poboy

Rona W.

Yelp
The food was amazing! We ordered the stuffed crab appetizer which was delicious (forgot to take a picture of that) we then ordered the jazzy Pete Poboy that included hot sausage and a lot of fried shrimps with a sauce! The service was excellent! We were seated promptly. As we were eating our waiter refilled our drinks and brought napkins throughout without us asking for it. That's a plus for me. When we finished eating he bagged our to go plate and gave us to go cups. The Ambiance is a feel good vibe of Jazzy New Orleans decor. I will definitely be going back to Slidell just for this place! I would like to try more items on the menu soon!
google avatar

Yolonda H.

Yelp
We ordered two poboys they were both pretty tasty. One had the addition of a fried green tomato and the other had onion rings. So both were a nice addition to the traditional poboy. The bread they said was in house fresh made and had a great texture. We were pretty bummed that they had discontinued their milkshakes before we got to try one out. Server was a nice fellow and very attentive.

Yelp
We are headed home from our cruise and wanted a great lunch to cap off our trip. Jazzy Pete's didn't disappoint. First of all, this place is spotless and the decor is NOLA inspired. When the front of the house is clean, I have confidence in the back of the house. I had no sightings of "Jazzy Pete", but I can only assume that he was in the kitchen frying our delicious shrimp! Secondly, the food was amazing. Unless you have participated in competitive eating, the 7" poboy is plenty! The shrimp are lightly battered and fried perfectly. The bread is soft where it's supposed to be and has a slight crunch on the outside. The onion rings are authentic and plentiful. You know when you can look at fried food and just know how old the oil is that they are using? I think they poured this oil this morning. The salad was fresh and loaded with large butterflied shrimp and dressed with homemade ranch dressing. The gumbo was delicious and was my favorite combo, chicken and sausage. Not too spicy, but a nice happy medium. Finally, even though our server was running around with her feet on fire, she was still attentive and sweet. She was the only waitress until noon and the place filled up rapidly. I didn't catch her name (possibly Pam), but she had short, white hair and a pep in her step! Jazzy Pete should give her a raise! They are taking applications for servers, so somebody go help this lady out!! Five minutes off of 1-10, exit 266 in Slidell.

Yelp
Shrimp Po boy with fried green tomatoes, Crawfish fries with Cajun sauce, Etouffée and Chicken and sausage gumbo. Service was fantastic, all of the food was perfectly cooked, the place is great with it's decoration and super clean. I WOULD RECOMMEND.

Yelp
This restaurant is a little piece of New Orleans in Slidell. They have a decent sized parking lot, but you may pass the place at first, because their is not well marked outside. The restaurant is very clean and has New Orleans themed decorations placed all around it. They also have TVs that you can catch your game on. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. You will find a lot of cajun favorites on the menu like oysters, shrimp, red beans and rice, and of course po boys. I ordered the Cochon de Lait Poboy some onion rings. The onion rings are the flaky homemade type that I like. You get a large serving of them and they were delicious. My po boy was equally as good. I did not even come close to finishing my food. My server helped my pack up my food and I then had lunch for the next day. I really liked my meal here and I am sure that you will enjoy this place as much as I did, or maybe even more. So, go treat yourself and check this place out.

Yelp
Bring back the milk shakes! Shakes are way better than adult drinks! Love, a loyal customer for over 4 years.

Nohariz Iris R.

Yelp
Loads of flavor! I've had both the pasta entree and the catfish, oyster, and shrimp poboy. All had a great deal of flavor. Good portion size for your buck, though the fries could be tastier. These tasted a little towards the frozen side.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
The food was good. My husband loved his fried shrimp. I had the red beans and rice, and that was good. However, I thought they were overpriced, as I know what it costs to make a whole pot of red beans and rice and it isn't much. The kids burger was also overpriced: $13. And, they messed up the kids burger by putting all the condiments on when we ordered it plain. They took it away and brought it back having only pulled the condiments off. You could see the imprint of the lettuce and tomatoes in the cheese and my son didn't want to eat it because he said it tasted like pickles and onions. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. It seems to be in an old fast food restaurant, like maybe an old Taco Bell. The floors were sticky throughout the place as well.

Yelp
We had to wait for our tire to be replaced and the nice NTB workers suggested this place for lunch. It is a small restaurant. We were seated right away. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. She told us she was from Angelton Tx. The food was all super fresh and came out pretty promptly. My kids can be a little picky but they tore up their food when it came. The food all tasted fresh and not frozen. The batter on my kids chicken strips and shrimp seemed freshly dipped. 5/5 from my husband's roast beef sandwich (he is difficult to please too) 5/5 shrimp and crawfish pasta ( I wished it had steamed broccoli) the french bread was yummy. I had a fresh tasting house salad but I am not sure if it was included. My 4 kids all enjoyed their food.

Sherri G.

Yelp
Yes this is definitely a 5 star meal. We had a lovely hostess and enjoyed a scrumptious meal. Cool decorations. Check them out.

Yelp
Gave this place a try and really I wasn't pleased. You'll see why, just keep reading. RESTAURANT: It was clean. Love how the decorated with the NOLA decor everywhere. I didn't use the restroom so I can't report on that. SERVICE: We walked in and you have to wait to be seated, hostess wasn't in position so there was a small wait. Once we were seated it took a while for the server to come. I was about to go back to the front because there were people that came after us and they were seated and waited on within seconds. Finally our server came and took the drink orders (water/lemon) my husband got lemon, I didn't and I left it alone...no big deal, right? He never refilled my water either FOOD: Okay this is where it gets twisted...we ordered the shrimp curry as an appetizer and we waited and waited and waited...the server came to take our entrée order and again we realized the appetizer never came. The server never gave an explanation UNTIL we asked... Finally it arrived, it was hot and looked delicious. It had a good taste to it, but the shrimp were hard to peel. Its kind of like BBQ shrimp just in case you're wondering. Next the entrée, we ordered po'poys. One fried and one grilled with the gumbo and the red beans... I'll start with the grilled shrimp...they were jusy okay because they were DRY. My husband said the fried shrimp were just alright. The gumbo...my goodness it looked like gumbo, but it didn't taste like gumbo...AT ALL!!! I really can't describe the taste, I sent it back. I'M A NOLA NATIVE...I KNOW GUMBO, that wasn't it. My husband, who LOVES red beans was very disappointed and didn't eat any of it after he tasted it, but he didn't send his back. Maybe the other food is better...

Yelp
Really wasn't sure what the place was when walking in. Do we sit or do we go up and order? You sit lol went here because we seen the shakes which they do not have. The food was good nothing fantastic.
google avatar

Daphne J.

Yelp
Traveling through the area on a trip to Panama City. Enjoyed a half fried fish/fried shrimp platter with two generous sides. My husband and I shared it. The red beans were good. The gumbo was fine (needed a bit more seasoning). I would have considered a higher rating if the place was not so understaffed.
google avatar

Anaya R.

Yelp
More fast food like but the food was actually really good. The portion sizes were solid. The jazzy poboy was great. Would highly recommend. The milkshake was also really good.

Yelp
Went on Dr. Wagoners Honey Island Swamp Tour ... Captain Hunter recommended Jazzy Pete's for frog legs (ya gotta ASK for them - they're not on the menu!!). OMG - are we happy we did! The frog legs and crawfish fries hit the SPOT. The only thing better than the food was the service (and I am a tough cookie having spent 40 years in the biz). This is now a must stop every time we are down here visiting family.

Dan L.

Yelp
What a great restaurant. The food was GREAT! As good or better than you would find in New Orleans. The fried shrimp po' boy was incredulous! Their was more shrimp than sandwich. The stuffed crab and shrimp fettuccine was fantastic. Gumbo was really tasty. The staff was friendly and welcoming and checked on us several times throughout the meal. The inside was decorated with New Orleans items and memorabilia. It was like being there without the loud atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant!
google avatar

Floyd D.

Yelp
Got a muffaletta here. It was just a half and a little on the high end. Wasn't the best or the worst. I got it to go so not much more to tell. Will I be back????? Don't know about this one but who know

K S.

Yelp
Great lunch stop on the way to swamp tour. Ambience is cute. Service was quick and our server was super nice. Most importantly the food did not disappoint. Three po boy sandwiches- one with crab, one with grilled chicken and one with shrimp and sausage. All excellent.

Abbie F.

Yelp
10/10 would recommend going! Food was SO GOOD, and a 7 inch is HUGE. The service was excellent, and there was no long wait for our food. Gumbo was seasoned to perfection!
google avatar

Darriane J.

Yelp
This place was really good!! The decor was super cute, the service was great, & the food was delicious! My mom & I went to try it out after passing it & were so glad that we did! Those beignet sticks were amazing! I cannot wait to go back & try one of their famous milkshakes!
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Great shrimp po boy and the onion rings are worth the order. The daiquiris are great as well. Service was above average!
google avatar

Liz B.

Yelp
Really, really, really good poboys. Seriously gives some of the famous NOLA places a run for their money. I had the black and gold and it did not disappoint. The small is huge! The bread is just right, the shrimp have the right kind of breading and seasoning, and the roast beef is juicy and delicious. Dressed in the classic way with with fresh shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, mayo and pickles. Lots of creative menu options. Next time I'ma check out the fried green tomatoes and BBQ shrimp.

Yelp
This place has been open a couple of weeks now - long enough to work some of the kinks out - so I thought I'd drop in - totally on a whim as I was traveling past. I was welcomed by three people - one outside the door and two inside the restaurant. Nice. In a former life this place was a Burger restaurant and it was fine but not outstanding in my view. And so this is a rebirth restaurant that - on first impressions - made a good choice. There are a number of good choices on the menu with the PoBoys obviously being a feature with some standards as well as some twists and tweaks on some standards. However I decided not to go for the featured Po-Boys and went another direction and ordered the Chicken and Andouille Pasta - Grilled Chicken and Andouille sausage with mushrooms and green onions over fettuccini with a Creole cream sauce. SO GLAD I did. It was just the right balance of pasta, mushrooms, chicken, Andouille, green onions (it was as much about the color as the taste of those) and - the most important part in my view - the Creole sauce. It was tasty, had a little spice but left you some room to curate it to your own taste; not too runny, not too thick. And while most places just drown the dish in it - This was just the right amount. Loved that. Mild complaint (but not really) I would have liked another piece of French bread to make sure none of the sauce was left behind. But that's on me as I'm sure it would have been provided. And then - after a nice portion at a great price - Lagniappe! Waffle cone bowl with a single scoop of vanilla that tasted home-made whether it was or not. Very nice touch. Debbie took great care of me, was friendly, professional, and fast. And a nice smile... Definitely making some repeat trips here...!!

Yelp
We ordered delivery. Not the restaurants fault, but it had definitely been sitting awhile. Either way food was great. We got the roast beef debris poboy that has French fries on it. Good amount of meat and fries. We also got the red beans and crawfish fries. I absolutely loved it and would eat everything again.
google avatar

Yelp
Knock out poboys, gumbos and milkshakes with easy access off interstate in Slidel. Great pit stop on drive to Mississippi. Great service too! 10 stars
google avatar

Angele G.

Yelp
My hubby and I were hungry and traveling back to MS from Chalmette. We decided to try Jazzy Pete's after reading the great reviews. Absolutely loved the food and service. The waitresses were friendly and hard-working. Highly recommend the crawfish fries and beignet sticks. All of our choices were delicious. We definitely plan to revisit again. Margot was our waitress and did a great job.

B. M.

Yelp
We each had the 7 inch roast beef po boy which included fries in the po boy. Very good, tasty. It almost looks from the outside like a fast food restaurant, but it is not. Cute inside decorations. Would go again.

Tyler S.

Yelp
Great place, their po-boys are the best. Service is great. I would recommend this place if you're looking for something local.

Marion C.

Yelp
It was real good ! First time we came to eat here. Will come back! Ate the shrimp Po-Boy! Red beans REAL GOOD!

Yelp
Love this experience! Extra long waits with big parties but worth it! Good service, vibe, band, and fun for kids

Yelp
We rented a private room for my birthday dinner and it was lovely and the food was delicious. Everyone had a great time. It was so nice to have our private assistance who was very patient and friendly. I highly recommend Jazzy Pete's to renting a private sitting to just going in to have a delicious meal. It was worth the money. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant!
