JB's goes the extra mile! They catered a large farewell party for a staff member at the church and they took the time to carefully work with me to get the numbers right and the menu right while staying within my budget. They delivered a bit ahead of schedule. They did the set up and everything was carefully and beautifully presented. Every item was - in a word - scrumptious. They even added a couple of freebie items. And they returned right on time for the take-down, and helped box the few leftovers. Everyone who attended has only good things to say about JB's catering.

Family run, no frills, excellent everything. Get the Caesar with grilled veg. The kids love the burgers and JB and staff are like a big hug on a tough day.

I made a mistake in my rush to satiate my hunger and desire for a burger.  I failed to look up and see where I was supposed to order.  I ordered where I was suppose to pay.  My advise is to look up and order from the correct location.  The cashier was awesome and allowed me to order from him... I truly appreciate this. From order to food on table was only about 7 minutes pretty quick for a busy Saturday morning.   We sat outside to enjoy fresh air and room to stretch out. I ordered the Avocado Cheese Burger with American Cheese.  The meal comes with a side of thin crispy fries.  The burger was big and messy.  Very juicy and delicious.  The avocado was spread on the bottom bun.. that means, I get avocado in every bite.  Nice big slices of fresh juicy tomatoes and crispy lettuce gave a great contrast of textures. Please bus your own table and give the staff a hand.

JB's is a neighborhood gem. Fast, delicious, & friendly across the board. The tuna melt and chopped salads are my go-to options, but the deviled eggs, breakfast sandwiches/burritos, and house coffee are as well. Their menu is extensive and the place is NEVER empty. I almost cried when I walked up and saw that they were closed for vacation in early January. Ha!

April 2023: Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed the Denver omelette with wheat bread toast. I actually was craving hash browns and saw that this place had them. Was very excited. Overall, was happy with my meal. The hash browns could have been made crispier. But that is just a minor suggestion. Omelette had lots of ham, onions and cheese. I would order it again if I was craving a Denver omelette.

What's my first time trying food from JB's Place and it did not disappoint. I was referred here by someone I met at one of my new favorite restaurants in Daly City called Shish Ke Baba and I'm glad I came. They're both really great restaurants that I recommend. You're at Jamie's place I had the spicy buffalo wrap and the macaroni salad. They were both really good and the prices reasonable also. This place is very popular. There were five police officers, myself, and at least four other customers in the deli and I imagine it's even busier for breakfast. Definitely worth the wait though and the staff are so kind. Are you excited to trade breakfast and the pesto salad next time.

Good sandwiches!! Good breakfast burritos! Everyone here is super friendly. The tables and seat are always clean. The breakfast burrito is delicious and will fill you up. I always come back. I recommend, especially if you work in the area.

Ordered the sausage breakfast burrito twice from here. The burritos are huge and very filling. I also love that they include grilled onions. Next time, I would have to try their other breakfast options. My new go to spot for breakfast burritos.

The food here is absolutely amazing! The staff is so kind, the owners are here everyday greeting you and are super accommodating to any food restrictions. I personally don't eat red meats usually and they accommodated to my vegan orders in the past. There's a wide variety of food options so there's definitely something for everyone. There's both American and Arab influence food options! Amazing!! The ambiance is that of a typical deli but it's very clean and well organized. I love sitting inside and enjoying my food while watching the range of customers that come in and out. There's a few tables outside if the weather is nice too! Highly recommend this lovely family owned deli spot. I will always keep going back!!! They do great on catering too. I catered the food for my birthday and it came quickly and fed all 20 of my guests with food to spare!! Love.

I will never eat here again. My friend and I got sick after eating lunch. Veggie burger and regular cheese burger respectively. I called to let them know about the situation and they were very defensive and aggressive. I believe we contracted Norovirus from unsafe food handling. It happens, I get it. When a customer calls you out of courtesy, don't tell them they took too long to call you. People are busy and no one wants to call a restaurant about getting sick there. It's not a fun conversation. Thanks for making it about as bad as it could be.

Located near California College of the Arts, this was a popular place for my classmates and me. JB's sandwiches are known among all of us to be large and delicious. As a college student, this was the perfect place to eat, because the prices were reasonable. Even though it has been a long time since I was a student, I still come back here to eat a delicious sandwich. I like getting the pastrami sandwich or the egg, bacon, and avocado sandwich on a sliced sourdough bread. The ingredients are so fresh and warm. Way better than buying a sandwich from the grocery store. The fries are perfectly salted and tasty. To top it off, the people who work there are always so friendly and nice.

We got a recommendation from someone at the newly opened SF Flower Mart just a few blocks away! We had delicious burgers, fries and cokes! The staff was very friendly, the place was clean and very busy during the lunch hour! What a find and parking wasn't bad either! Check it out and support local, family owned business. I read a lot of the reviews before writing this so some of the lower ratings were quite dated and I just finished the other half of my burger and it was still delicious (even cold) and I would go back when in the neighborhood. Neighborhood lunch spot with great service and unreal consistency. Every time I take a bite of the patty melt with the garlic spread, I'm transported to another dimension of flavor. The crunchy, toasted rye leaves the roof of my mouth in shambles for the next two days. But it's all worth the pain. I miss living close to here!

I've lived in the neighborhood for many years and this is the first time I actually went in and had breakfast with a friend. It's a small place - clean and bright. The staff is very friendly. There are a lot of breakfast choices and everything looks good. I'm partial to the sausage and hashbrowns with scrambled eggs- servings are quite copious.

Heard good things about this from a friend, so decided to come for lunch. Got their tri tip sandwich + fries. Taste (5 out of 5): Very good! One of the employees recommended it to me, and I'm glad I listened. It was a huge sandwich with delicious tri tip and standard sandwich veggies. Their fries kinda reminded me of McDonald's fries and were very crispy. Value (5 out of 5): $15 for a huge sandwich and a generous serving of fries. Great deal. Service (5 out of 5): Very friendly! They were patient with me as I took a while figuring out what I wanted. They answered all of my questions nicely. :)

JB's is a classic deli, good spot for a quick lunch. Their salad options are abundant - I ordered the artichoke and potato salad with the chef's salad. Both were decently tasty and the salad came with a massive portion of their deli meats. Overall, I felt like I needed some bread with the serving. I imagine their sandwiches would be well proportioned!

Started work early and decided that I needed a breakfast to get me through the day. Ordered the JB's Breakfast- shoulda read the fine print tho! It's a big one- 3 eggs, all meat options (bacon, sausage, ham), hash browns, English muffins... really tasty! Service is very friendly and sincere. It's all good here!

This has to be hands down the BEST PLACE IN SF!!! Everything I mean everything is delicious and home made. This is a family business and you feel the love the second you walk in. My favorite is the tuna sandwich on sourdough. The garlic spread they make homemade should win an award. The service is impeccable always polite and friendly. The owners Nas & Reem are such an amazing couple I just love them so much! They take such care of this place always clean and organized. 100/10 this is my forever place to eat!!

Just got a BLT and it was delicious, my sandwich had avocado on it and that made even better.

Stopped for a quick bite. Working lunch. They made the gyro platter into a wrap. It was delicious!! The meat was flavorful and moist. My coworker had an amazing cheeseburger. Great value for lunch. Highly recommend this place. First time here.

This place was great! I had the avocado sandwich with Swiss cheese and my partner had the chicken panini. Lots of natural lighting and they had a main window open for a cool breeze. The service was great also. They rewrapped our sandwiches to take home with us at the end of our meal. I would highly recommend.

*** In Short *** Classic American diner offerings, at an affordable price point! *** In Depth *** I always knew I didn't hit up Potrero Hill much, but to not know about a supposed PH staple despite having lived so close by for the past decade now?! Oops. Was in the mood for some good ole American breakfast for once (especially since my pandemic days have generally entailed waking up after noon), and JB's popped up on my radar as a quick stop on my way back from servicing my car, so in I popped, opting for something a little easier to carry and eat without a table: a sausage, egg and cheese croissantwich. Despite being pretty salty (which should not have come to any surprise given that sausage is never NOT too salty to me), the flavors were great, and was exactly the kind of simple, hearty breakfast sandwich I haven't had in many years and was looking for. Will definitely revisit, and spend a little more time thinking about my protein selection lol

Great neighborhood spot. The owner is excellent and very friendly breakfast burritos is my to go at this place. Don't forget to grab a cuppa coffee. Also, they take big orders give it a shot.

The Caesar salad, if you get "all the vegetables" will be served to you with hot vegetables and make your salad a warm Caesar. Yes. You read correctly: hot mayonnaise. It is a bad idea. Skip the vegetables. The deviled eggs are good.

Had their sorta cheesesteak and I say this because the beef was not as thinly sliced as a regular cheesesteak. But they don't market it that way and it's a pretty good sandwich! It's more like a steak sandwich with cheese and peppers. Maybe the emphasis is more on steak than cheese.

Stopped here for a bite to eat during my run. There was a steady stream of people coming in and getting food. It seems like the staff knew everyone's name besides me. I got the falafel wrap and the veggie (eggplant) sandwich with an iced coffee and Coke Zero. The wrap was very good but the veggie sandwich had a bit too much of balsamic vinaigrette. It was really drenched with it actually. You order at the right side of the shop and pay at the left side of the shop. There is seating inside and a few seats outside but we took our lunch to the park next door and enjoyed the weather.

I really love these kind of neighborhood lunch joints where everyone there seems to be a regular. They have really solid burgers and my favorite kind of fries (thin, crispy, fluffy!). Their veggie panini (eggplant, peppers, mushroom, cheese) was pretty good too with nice crispy bread, although it could've been a little more flavorful. The staff is friendly and fast, and there's plenty of different hot lunch and sandwich options for everyone. I can definitely see why this place is a neighborhood institution!

I come here probably once a week for their deluxe breakfast sandwich. It's probably the best breakfast sandwich in the area and also reasonably priced. All the food here is made fresh and they always have a plethora of options in addition to daily specials. Great place to get breakfast or lunch or even something to take home for dinner later. This place is one of the few working class institutions in the area. People often brag about the fancy expensive brunches you can get on 18th but honestly JB's is way better than anything you can get over there. I wouldn't say it's a well kept secret since they've been around forever but it's certainly overlooked by some for really perplexing reasons. The staff here are really great people. I often have great conversations with them to the point where I might hold up the line but seriously, everyone that works here is really nice, friendly and down to earth. It annoys me such a great place might get passed up by some especially since the new bike lane eliminated parking in front which might make some think twice. But if you're looking for some good food that's reasonably priced and made fresh daily, this is your spot! Not a lot of places like this left in the City and that's why I'm happy to support a local family run small business.

The best food in town. Can't tell you what my favorite is. This is a lunch staple for me. The fries are my weakness. They will even melt cheese in them for me. The sandwiches and hot specials never disappoint. So happy to see a family owned business in the neighborhood.

My colleagues made me come here since it's right down the street from our showroom. Everyone was extremely nice and the place was packed, but I got food poisoning after eating one of their burgers. Knocked me out for 3 days, and now I'm going to have trouble eating burgers for a while. It's 2023 and we just got out of a pandemic. There's no reason people shouldn't be taking all necessary precautions to ensure their food is sanitary.

Solid lunch spot so far from what I had. I had the gyro plate and it was a but different. The meat was flat but good portion about 5 pieces with onions, cucumbers, tomatoes in a huge piece of pita bread and a boatload of fries. Order first and then go to cashier to pay. Minimum for card is $5 or they charge a small 50 cent fee. Plenty of seating. Friendly service and prices are reasonable for the portions.

I got introduced to this gem by a good friend. I'll keep it short and simple this place is amazing the quality of the food is top-notch the service is even better if you have a chance definitely stop by I've gotten breakfast and lunch. The sandwich that I got was literally the best sandwich I've ever had in my entire life and I'm not even joking. Definitely check this place out if you can it is a hidden gem.

Breakfast is not actually served until 11. You should update your website or educate your team on your policies.

I visited JB's Place on Friday August 4th and ordered the Rocky Mountain High. The food was delicious, but the service was EXCELLENT! The staff was so friendly and they made you feel like family. Thank you so much JB's Place. We will be back!

I been coming here since I was a little girl. I love the cheeseburgers here and the salads. I have also now introduced my daughter to the cheeseburgers here and she loves them. Service is great also.

Great place to get breakfast or lunch. Staff are amazingly friendly. Food is delicious. Nice areas i door and outside to sit and enjoy the food. Definitely get a sandwich with both spreads, if you're looking for a taste bud adventure.

I work down the street and have eaten here regularly for the past 10 years. Not only is the food always great, and lots to choose from, but the whole staff is friendly and the owners really care about the community they serve. Thank you for taking care of me all these years!!

Found this place randomly on DoorDash and was so surprised! My order was messed up through DoorDash which was not their fault! I was greeted by 4 or 5 cheerful welcomes. I ordered to go but then decided to eat in and watch the game. I almost forgot to take the picture cause it just smelled so good. Super fresh vegetables, and the bread smelt like it was just baked. 100 percent recommend the Dutch crunch. The only thing I can compare this to is Mr. Pickles

JB's Place is a Potrero Hill gem. The place has a load of breakfast and lunch options, a mini mart quality cooler filled with drinks on drinks on drinks, and a pretty stellar selection of chips, sweets, baked goods, donuts, and all sorts of other treasures. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries. For a quick lunch counter burger, it was pretty damn good! The bacon was crispy, the cheese gooey, there was a nice char on the burger patty, the lettuce was fresh, and the bun was a pretty good vehicle for getting all of that goodness into your mouth. The fries were thin, hot, and crispy. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I'll be back soon to try something else off their ginormous menu.

A Potrero Hill staple. I'll be honest and say that when I first saw this location, I was not expecting much. My first thought was, "oh just another small deli", but boy was I was wrong. JB's has become one of my go-to spots in the Potrero Hill area. The sandwiches and food here is top-notch. Everything they make here is fresh and yummy. Their daily specials adds variety and homecooked like meals. Seriously, nothing like homecooked meals away from home. If you're curious about what they will have on their daily special, check out their social media, they're fairly good at updating what they will have. I also like coming here in the mornings where they allow me to customize my breakfast. I sometimes can't eat certain food products, so they're always more than happy to help make my order the way I want. The family who runs this small shop is also what adds to the overall experience of this place. Their overwhelming warm hearted kindness will always make you feel at home when visiting. They're one of my favorite people to talk to in all of San Francisco. If you're looking for food in this neighborhood, JB's should be your first pick.

Good lord! Bustling lunch business and for good reason. Woman behind counter, and everyone for that matter, all sweethearts. Tons of sandwich and hot and cold lunch items. And millions of bottled and canned drinks to accompany your gorgeous lunch. Absolutely delicious.
