Grey did such an Amazing job on our photos! She was there the day after Christmas working alone b/c everyone called in sick! She still had a wonderful attitude! I hope she is compensated for doing the job of 3 people! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I want to give zero stars but Lindsay in photo department saved the day and is super deserving of 10 stars. Unfortunately for us, we had a different photographer (Collin I believe?) take our family (awkward) photos and while we were there, the experience itself was AWKWARD! The man who checked us in and ended up taking our photos was SO unprofessional, I wonder how he is actually able to work in this position or in customer service at all. Social Media made JCP portraits a ‘hip’ thing right now and this would be such a fun job for the right people—absolutely NOT him. Our appointment was pushed back by two hours and then we were rushed, and the things coming out of this dude’s mouth were so shocking, it took everything in me as a mother to not cause a scene. Here’s a good example of just one of the things stated: my daughter, wearing a dress and curled hair he looked at and called a “they, them, she, whatever.” Like, so shocking to hear someone speak with so much disregard about how that would feel to hear. All around, this type of interaction throughout our session.” I practically had to throw money at this just to get the hell out of there. I would LOVE to speak to management about this. It looks like there are MANY reviews citing this same kind of behavior and I would think you would do something about it. I would actually love our entire experience refunded, because if social media knew OUR experience, it was NOT what I believe your core valves would be based upon, in the slightest. I don’t want to come back, I don’t want a credit, I want someone to contact me and make this right. Absolutely NOT ok.

Horrific experience at the jewelry counter last night. I was purchasing a watch for Christmas and there were two ladies in the jewelry department - one was helping a customer and the other was a manager who was doing absolutely NOTHING except stand there. The manager never asked if I needed help with anything. I waited very patiently for quite some time until the cashier was able to help me, then FINALLY the manager speaks up and asks me if I need help, which is weird because I was with the other cashier and the manager saw us the entire time and said nothing. I said we would like to pay for this watch. She said something about how it was not fine jewelry (basically not expensive enough) shouting at me across the department over counters and said they would not help us - to go to another cash register after all that time. I said politely - you could have told me that I couldn’t purchase the watch here and then walked away. As I (and my children) walked away, she shouts at me across the store - Well! You could have asked!!!!! Hmmm, well, I couldn’t be rude and interrupt the cashier I was waiting in front of because she was helping another customer and the manager (who yelled at me) was doing her best to completely ignore me so she wouldn’t actually have to do any work. I was absolutely humiliated and disgusted by her rude and classless behavior. Other customers and JC Penney employees were completely shocked by her behavior. I will NEVER spend another dime in this store again and will possibly avoid JC Penney altogether. Absolutely GROSS customer service.

I placed an online order that I had to return to the store. The customer service said I would get an email showing my return. I never got any paperwork from customer service and the never sent my an email with return info. I contacted online customer service and they didn’t show my return info their system. So they issued a dispute. I just received an email that the dispute was settled and not in my favor! A pair of jeans that was $26.22. Was stolen from me! To prove my honesty I repurchased the same pants I a different size that same day! I always pay my bill off every month. The customer service team are so overwhelmed and lack of knowledge I had to tell her the invoice number was on the shipping bag! I am not happy about this situation. My only recourse would be to see the security footage of me making the return! I will be canceling my JCPennycredit card and no longer shopping there. I advise any shoppers watch out when making returns! Get some sort of proof of your return. Emailing receipts is not to be trusted! Roberta Hase

My daughter and I came into your beauty dept today and needed help getting her some of her first make up. And as one of the ladies helped us color match I was so appreciative of some of the other ladies who also dropped in to compliment my daughter and encourage her. As a tween of color she is still growing confidence and it was a beautiful thing to see so many woman lift up her. THANK YOU BEAUTIFUL KIND ladies who helped encourage her ! The community effect was powerful and touching! and made her day.! And for the tasteful make up help!.

My rating is for the place you get pictures done. Why make appointments when they are always running behind 30 mins or even longer. Then the person taking the photos doesn't even know how to position ypu for a photo and even tells you they really don't even know what else to do and says "how about we take a silly photo". What? We went for Christmas photos as a family like we do every year. If you are getting a guy with long hair to take your photos, I would ask for someone else. All the photos were horrible and rushed us out quick. Will never come back to this location again.

I placed an order this morning. I received an email stating that curbside pickup is available. I arrived at 3:47 and pressed the button to notify the store of my arrival. My pickup request was canceled by the employee at 3:47. I went into the email again, and notified the store of my arrival. My pickup was canceled AGAIN at 4:00. The employee should have waited on customers in the order that they arrived. I watched 5 people get in line AFTER I notified the store that I was here. I am not feeling well, so now I will have to leave and come back another time because an employee didn't feel like walking outside, or simply saying to those in line "there is a customer who has been waiting for 20 minutes, excuse me while I help them, since they were here first". GO figure. Can we say customer service anyone?

I'll never order from JC Penny online again! The last two of three items needed to be returned and it's an impossible task getting a return label. When you call it's a life-like automated recording that is pushing to sell a Life Alert devise. There is no live person to talk to, I called back 3 times and got the exact recorded message from "Jessica" pushing the devise. It took way too long to receive my item, my order doesn't appear in my order history and now I have no way to talk to anyone to get a return label, which they charge $8 for. NEVER AGAIN!!! Don't waste your money or time ordering online!

Horrible. Yesterday while at Haywood Mall location, I stood in line for over 20 minutes for a return. The cashier chatty with everyone, seeing the long line, and never called for assistance. When I finally got to the register she smiled mockingly and said they only take returns downstairs, no other information. No signs around any register about returns. We went to the lower level and finally found the return desk. The attendant ignored us even though we were the only people there and finally looked up as if we were annoying him. He never spoke to us, no hello, nothing and scanned my return form. Shoved the return receipt at me, again he did not speak. So rude and annoying, I don't believe I will spend my hard earned money there again. Ridiculous.

I typically don't do reviews for retail stores, but I need to share my experience so that other customers won't waste their time going here! I went in to make a "quick" return.. They only have two checkouts, one upstairs and one downstairs. Only the checkout downstairs processes returns, so I had to wait in a very long line! The store was outrageously messy. Clothes all over the floor, racks ransacked, and shoes all unorganized.. Looked like no one cleaned in at leash a month. There were only two cashiers. The younger girl had NO clue what she was doing, and the older lady was frazzled as well! I was so frustrated by the end of my transaction because of the lack of experience. If you can, avoid this JCPenney location.

There was only one fitting room on the first floor, one checkout with only two cashiers, and no sales associates on the floor to help you. I waited at least twenty minutes in line with twenty-one other customers. Does Penneys deliberately want to harass customers and drive them away? I will never go to this store again!

Is it any wonder why this store is going under. I tried to purchase a pair of sandals there today that were on sale. I was told to go back and take a picture of the sign saying they were on sale. They aren't even equipped to put their sales in their system. How pathetic! I kept the sandals there.

Don't trust JCP customer service. They lied to me, claiming that a package that had been sent to an old address would be retrieved or refunded if I made a claim to UPS, and they couldn't find it. Then they pressured me to reorder the same item to the new address, assuring me again and again, that I would be refunded for the original item. Now, I'm told it is a JCP policy to not refund if it went to an old address. The mistake may have been mine because I didn't carefully check that the system had defaulted to a previous address, but I counted on the JCP rep to give me correct info and not lie to me. I have been a JCP customer for over 40 years but am cancelling my address. No wonder they are not doing well in business now. Customer service is not honest with customers. Don't trust you are getting accurate info.

My daughter wants a watch for Christmas , we saw the " perfect one " . It was a gorgeous Liz Claiborne and on sale to boot ! Whoop whoop ! Here is where the one star comes in , no sales associates . It's December folks and you are having a sale , maybe schedule someone to work ? They were NOT busy . We waited and waited and ask someone for help , she will get someone with a key .......waiting waiting waiting . Nada . Finally she comes back someone would be with us " In a few minutes " whaaat ?! Ok we waited and waited . Now it's my mission to find someone . No one to be found . No manager , no cashier and no key . Thirty minutes into this experience we have given up . We go to find the others to leave and Holy smokes someone announces over the intercom they are having a watch sale and to see an associate at the jewelry . Whhhhhat ?!? Ugh!

JC Penny's customer service is quite horrendous. Adding to that they are still operating on an inefficient system that is clearly outdated (inability to change shipping address? You've got to be kidding me). As such they will go out of business soon as customer and convenience-centered corporations like Amazon are rapidly on the rise. Take your business elsewhere.

NICE AND EASY! I sort of wandered into this store looking for a simple tank top. I was really surprised to discover that they had a very generous sale in process. This wasn't a fake sale where prices are jacked up and slightly reduced, there were actually bargains! Their casual tanks by ANA were reduced to less than $7 each and if you want something a bit dressier like Worthington, those were also discounted. I purchased the dressier tank and one of their colorful kimonos in a bright coral with black accents. It is the perfect vacation piece to dress up that LBD or to add something special to your outfit. You can tie it at the waist or allow it to hang loose. This was a great little stock up sale and I really liked this store because I didn't have to go hunting for the check out counter. Some stores have moved to that centralized check-out model where you have to go 'hunting' for service. However, this check-out was right in the middle of the woman's department where I was shopping. Yay! ***This sale continues through Sunday so hurry up and get it poppin!

Wish I could give a zero! Worst customer service experience ever during our photo shoot. We waited for over 20 minutes before were were even greeted or acknowledged. We had 3 kids all less than 3 years old who were not cooperative by the time we were taking photos! Then the photographer only got 24 photos total not 24 usable photos. During the photo shoot she had to delete photos to take more really! On top of all of this she had her food sitting out on the counter. I will never go back to JCPenney or Jcpenny Portaits ever again!

I went and had my hair done at JCPenny's hair salon. I have to say Sue did an excellent job on my hair. She is a color specialist she takes her job very seriously. I left loving absolutely loving my hair. So if you're in for a haircut, color or just simply want it styled ask for Sue and go to JCPenny salon in Haywood Mall Greenville SC. I would put a 10 star if I could.

Came in for a simple cut and style but was immediately turned off. There was hair everywhere (behind and under stations, even out front in the waiting area). It's unsanitary. I thought you're supposed to clean after each customer. I came midday so the area should have at least been cleaned. Trash was overflowing from the trash cans.

I have had nothing but good experiences here! I always see Grace for my hair cuts and my sister goes to Mike, both are equally great. Grace always cuts my hair just the way I describe it to her and styles it the way I like it. I have gone from long to very short with her as my hair stylist and I am currently growing it back out again, I have liked it each time I just can't make up my mind! She always does what I ask even if it's totally different from what I wanted last month and makes it look good.

Im speaking about the salon .Don't go here went to get eyes waxed they say they have listened to your request well they do not they just wait for people who have no experience in getting this done and take your money not only that they don't do a good job went here lyrics burned my eye either the wax and I have so many bumps got some cortisol and neosporen i didnt go for this and to be hurt stay away from here they will ruin your eyes I just hope this burn goes away spoke to supervisor got some condescending remarks they should be closed or just don't do what they can't. The wait is long and the service is scary ,so if you go your taking a chance if you get ly.pronunced Lee.

Kimberly at the hair salon is great! She styled my hair for a wedding (I was a bridesmaid) and knew exactly what would look the best. She is very personable and I was really happy with how my hair turned out!
