JD at Danzer's Pizza Pub

Very cozy and cute little local restaurant with a homey German pub/tavern feel. I was kind of expecting some good German food. I didn’t get that all. Don’t get me wrong, The people are super friendly but I just wish the “German” food tasted better. The potato pancakes were yummy!! The sausages were kinda cold and it’s just wasn’t working for me. And they didn’t have any Sauerbraten left on a Saturday night at 6pm. A little disappointing..oh yeah,The pizza was great too!!

Today was my first time here, and I'm definitely planning to come back! Our server was friendly and super attentive, refilling beverages without even being asked, which always stands out to me. 🙂 I ordered the Broccoli Cheddar soup and German Potato Pancakes, and enjoyed both. I have no complaints, but will say that just a little bit of salt and pepper on the potato pancakes would have made them absolutely perfect, but when you're having them with apple sauce and sour cream you barely even notice and it wasn't a bummer to me. I'll have to have my mother review the Reuben Eggrolls I'm bringing home, though I'm sure those are going to be amazing as well. 😁 Inside of the establishment looks great and was tidy and clean. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you haven't already!

Visited here during a short stay in Syracuse. The staff member are very warm, jovial and kind person who made my time there even more memorable. We ordered Loaded Fries, Burger, Wings and Pizza. That along with drinks brought our total to little over $30!!! What a win!!! Quality delicious food, great customer service, comfortable atmosphere at affordable prices! They also do German food here for those looking for that. Highly highly highly recommend though…this place is great and I can’t wait to return!!

The group I was with wanted to eat here, I have never been so was excited to try something new however was very disappointed. The Bratwurst was very good, the fries were disappointing, they were not crisp, they were soggy limp and seemed like they were precooked and left , the chips were good no seasoning however . The waiter was not on top of things, he never came back to ask if everything was OK, we had to flag him down for refills on drinks . He had his attention on the customers at the bar and the barmaid and wasn't concerned about his tables. Do not think I be returning.

Another great meal! I have been here a few times and tried sauerbraten, schnitzel and jäger schnitzel. All fantastic! The rueben egg rolls are amazing( I don’t even like corned beef usually). I have not been disappointed yet this is my 4th time here.

Not to impressed. It takes a lot for me to send out bad reviews, but this was one of my worst experience in a very long time. I called for a delivery, from the time I ordered until my food was delivered took almost 2 hours. I ordered 2 salads, 2 wraps and a dessert, desert missing. (Did call to get credit for that desert) After a hour and fifteen minutes I called to see what ETA for the food was, I was told the driver left the restaurant 3 min prior and should be here soon, which made sense as we live 3.3 miles away, roughly 9 min. Well, I'm not sure what way the driver went, but it took almost 25 min for him to get here. I know there is some construction going on but 25 minutes to go 3.3 miles is crazy. Anyway, definitely gonna think long and hard before I order delivery again.

It was Father's day and we went out for an early dinner. There was parking all around the restaurant. We sat down right away. Alicia was our server and she was very friendly and pleasant. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu, it was fantastic. I knew it was going to be a wait for that so I ordered the fried Reuben to start. The Reuben was really good as well. My bride ordered they jagerschnitzel, she enjoyed it. There is a bar, Lotto game tv going on. The place looks clean but lacks ambiance of any sort. There is an ATM right next matre'd stand.

The food portions are generous, which is wonderful! We paid roughly $ for an appetizer and 2 entrees, and got enough food for 4 people! The taste was really great as well! I ordered a calzone and my wife got the sea food platter which where awesome! And the customer service was awesome too! It was 1 waitress taking care of the entire dining room and she was fantastic! There is a lot of pizza burger and wings on the menu as well as lots of German food. 10/10 would recommend making the stop and will be back!

Stopped in before the Syracuse football game... great service food was excellent 2 pizzas and a calzone.. ordered wings and outside of buffalo where I'm from they were the best wings I've ever eaten. Great job!

This place needs a deep cleaning. Been there twice for about two hours. Never once saw the bartender wipe the bar area after customers ate and drank there. Floors were diety throughout the place. What does the kitchen look like? Service slow due to one person working and no ambiance for sure

After being monthly customer, I had a awful experience due to a snippy girl who whined about how she's on the bad, orders and customers and it's not her fault when I called to check on my order after 1 hour 45 minutes. She offered be 10% off my next order. Her attitude was so annoying I told her to cancel my order. Two hours after I had ordered the driver showed up at my door. I sent it back. I have still not gotten a refund after 13 days. That charming person said I have to send a copy of my statement to prove I didn't get it. Like I'd trust her with that.

We stopped in on a Saturday evening for our favorites, the Big Red Reuben and the German Potato Pancakes, both were delicious as usual. The sandwich is huge and we ordered one to split. We also decided to try the Mini Reuben Egg rolls, a fun appetizer, but they were chewy. Restaurant was clean, mostly empty, and the staff were friendly. This is a good place for your Reuben cravings!!

The food had improved 100% since 2 yrs ago The menu has changed and you now have several different options

I would like this place better if the service wasn 't terrible. The two women who tend to work the bar and be around all the time are useless. They are going to take this place down if the owner lets them stay.

Danzers used to be a great place. Authentic German food. Now it's just a run of the mill pizza and wings place. Menu is boring and the atmosphere reminded me of a cafeteria. Service was okay. Won't be going back.

Two food visits by health department and both failed . All I need to know it's a shame because when it was Danzers

This place is awful the food, the service and the outside of Building debris plus the inside dirty under tables ect.

Menu was huge lots of choices didn't order anything. The disgusting smell of dirty cleaning ammonia mop water sink was overwhelming so I could only imagine what the food would taste might try it if I knew I didn't have to have that smile. It literally stayed in my nose hours afterwards

Many years ago, this establishment was amazing. Food was beyond great and waitstaff was top-notch. That is not the case anymore. The place is often dirty weight staff is rude and food is often disgusting. We've tried this place several times in each time the food seems to have gotten worse.

My wife and I have been going to Danzers since the original was on Park St. We live in the Binghamton area now and made the trip to the (now) JD at Danzers on Friday, Jan 19. They have wisely combined some of the classics from the Danzer's menu with American and Italian fare. My wife has always been a fan of their Reuben and the mushroom appetizer, and wasn't disappointed. I tried the chicken parm and it was excellent and generous. I always liked the Spaten beer on tap and they still have it. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. Prices are reasonable. The place is clean and comfortable. Recommended!
