JD's BBQ

The rib tips were so tender, they were falling off the bone. The chicken and the fish were crispy and well-seasoned. The barbecue sauce was super flavorful. My family loved it. We'll be returning soon.

I'm sorry but the chicken tips s nothing but boiled chicken with sauce. He chicken was so dry 😩 the service is amazing but the quality of food is just not there. This was not authentic grilled chicken in my opinion. Maybe I'll give it a second chance but probably not. Fried chicken wings was the only good thing in my order

I cant say enough good things about my experience here but ill try... 1st JDs customer service was spectacular! He greeted us warmly acknowledging it was our first time which leads me to believe he pays attention to his clientele. 2nd The food is great! I had tips and catfish and GATDANG it is phenomenal. 3rd There is a space for parties and events that looks great for gatherings. The food is cooked fresh so be patient because it's worth it.

Chicken tips, pork tips, honey mango jerk chicken rice bowl were very very good , it was actually my first time trying them, my wife loves the turkey tips and the bbq brisket bowl, I’m having a anniversary party soon so after eating the food i called up and he is gonna cater my event, getting my menu together as we speak, I’ll post pics after the party ,

When I enter the established it was nice and clean!!! The owner him self was very polite and quick on his feet!! The best chicken I ever had hands down!!! My husband had the chicken tips and let’s just say he didn’t share lol!! Will be back

I must say that I didn’t get a chance to put pictures because when he gave me a sample I was ready to dig in!!!😋Everything was cooked fresh, The ribs were tender and the sauce topped it off. The chicken was well seasoned as well. JD and his wife were very personable, professional and the atmosphere was inviting! I usually travel all the way to Orland Park for some good ribs….not anymore! Good job guys you come highly recommended from me.👌🏽

I had the rib tip dinner (large)it was delicious and on point cooked to perfection the rib tips were tender and falling off the bone thank you jD I will return.

We visited JD’s BBQ today and had such a great experience! Even though the restaurant was close to closing, the owner kindly took our order and made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent—especially the wings, which were some of the best I’ve had. Great service, delicious food, and a warm atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good BBQ and friendly service!

Absolutely NOT! I have ordered from this place about 3 times a month. Usually on DoorDash. NEVER again after tonight. MOLD on my bread. Right on top as soon as I opened the container. I posted on DoorDash, google, Facebook , you name it. Never AGAIN how do you miss that? If they are too cheap to replace their bread, what else are they doing??

This is one of the best bbq spot in joliet definitely a hit everytime coming back soon.

They pretty good. Just was upset they gave me 2 burnt hot links. Burnt and dry. Had me pissed when I got home. They replaced them but they knew they was burnt wasting my time and it was my 1st time there. 1st bad impression

Went since they have a physical locations. We ordered bbq chicken wings and two bbq turkey tip combos, small and large with sauce on the side. Pros: chicken wings were fresh, Turkey tips were tender, and the restaurant had a connecting lounge. Cons: The guy who took the order over the phone sounded lifeless. The food presentation was not there. Costly for the portion sizes. I asked for bbq chicken wings, but I got fried wings. Then chicken wings were heavily sauced with their bbq sauce, which prevented the ability to taste the chicken was seasoning. The turkey combos consisted of boiled turkey tips not bbq. The small combo was a handful of turkey tips and a half of a turkey link. The large combo had a little over a handful of turkey tips and one turkey link cut in half. Again, not bbq turkey tips. Even after putting the sauce on the turkey tips the only thing I could say was at least they're tender. Their homemade sauce is very thick with super ketchup base. Bottom line i think the fried chicken maybe good with no sauce. Well if you're okay with boiled turkey tips then this is the place for you.

6/30/2020 There was a piece of hair in my food about 10 months ago, I reached out to JD we came to a resolution and I changed my review. We've ordered from here several times since without issues but tonight upon opening my food and removing the bread there was another piece of hair found in my food. I again reached out to the owner however this time I wasn't looking for a resolution because I've decided this place is disgusting but I wanted to make him aware that more hair was found in his food. JD stated that he's unsure why he's completed thousands of orders yet I'm the only one who's found hair (twice now). He however was willing to reimburse me for the price of the food. I'm unsure why I'm the only one that has found hair as well but we've ordered from here a total of 6 times and of which there's been hair 2 times, I personally find that percentage to be unlikely that I'm in fact the only person who has located hair from this place. There is absolutely some disgustingness going on at this place. I am beyond furious this time because I understand maybe it happens once but this is the second time. No thank you...stop sharing your DNA with customers!!!! 7/1/2020 I awakened this morning to a message on here from someone who has one review which just happens to be of this restaurant. Pretty much stating that my picture appeared altered and my review has no validity. 1) I have no reason to lie about hair being in my food as I gain nothing. 2) I can pay for whatever it is I want. 3) I am as well a Black business owner and I have no reason to lie on another. Which is why I allowed the resolution the first time but hair twice, I'm sorry we cannot resolve that. This review stands! As per my other reviews I have never posted about hair found in my food before. Furthermore if she don't typically post reviews what made her post this one??? I can tell you why it's because it's one of his friends or family members. There's no way I'm the only one who has had hair in my food twice now from this place. Eat slowly when ordering from here you are nearly guaranteed to locate hair.

When I tell you that Joliet and the surrounding suburbs have a BBQ House that will satisfy your EVERY crave of some good Que IT'S HERE!! JD's BBQ is an awesome addition to Joliet! I almost ordered everything on the menu...the wings well seasoned and the sauce is the BOMB!! The tips were off the chain and VERY TENDER! You can tell when a GrillMaster/Smoker has perfected their craft and Rico certainly has!! Couldn't leave without a large hot link which was tasty and juicy NOT dried out sausage like so many spots overcook them I also bought two bottles of their sauce so I know I'll have my personal stock of it! We'll definitely be back and looking forward to have JD's cater soon...#Blessings

The Barbeque was not good. It tasted like liquid smoke was poured over my pork and turkey tips. The Turkey tips sauce was awful.

Amazing BBQ! I ordered literally everything off the menu for my wife and I. The bbq sauce is homemade and unlike any other... flavorful, spicy, very different! all the meats are very tender, juicy, well made and smoky. I was able to taste the ribs with no sauce and I was falling off the bone tender and seasoned perfectly. We are definitely going back

Swung by picking up a door dash. Smelled so good I had to go back trying. 12 am answered the phone brought me out sample tray. Top class.

Meat was seasoned really good chicken was cool very crispy .... But it's one thing .... THE BBQ SAUCE IS TERRIBLE!!! Taste like tomato sauce not bbq Sauce ... Try everything dry no sauce because the food is good SAUCE IS TERRIBLE... n that should be the main thing at a BBQ RESTAURANT!!

So delicious. I ordered some rib tips and knew I was gonna be back. Next time I ordered tips, links, wings. My husband said it was the real deal. We found our bbq place.

Phenomenal BBQ. This place is bar none. Clean smoke flavor paired excellently with a homemade BBQ sauce. I can't exactly explain what it taste like, but it feels like bliss, or like some fire kush. JDs BBq is serious about the BBQ game. Ordered the 4lbs bucket of runs tips twice now. To the 1 star reviewer: The owners grace in handling your public outrage reflects the degree of quality JDs BBQ offers. This is classic and unofficial Chicago terminology. Take your right to be offended elsewhere. Even the Chicago Art Institute has a photo from 1988 of a man in Jew Town: https://www.artic.edu/artworks/125585/jew-town-polish . Offended in 2020 who would have guessed, welcome to Chicago and walk faster.

JD's food is delicious. I had the chicken wings and the turkey tips and everything was amazing. It is definitely worth the trip!

This establishment has OUTSTANDING ribs, chicken, and hot links. When you're a lifetime Chicagoan, you become accustom to high quality, flavorful food. I was ecstatic to find "Chicago-style" bbq in Joliet. Also, it was refreshing to meet the pleasant owner. One can tell he has a passion for grilling and is truly grateful for his patrons. Best Barbecue tips I have had in a long time. The sauce has a good texture and flavor delightful rather it be spicy or mild. I'm definitely a fan of JDs BBQ
