"Pick up a classic pasty from Jean Kay's Pasties where they're made with flank steak and potatoes just like a Yooper grandma would make them." - Amanda Ponzio-Mouttaki

Never had a pasty before as I’m not from the area, and this was the first place I landed on. Went in without expectations and came out having my expectations thoroughly exceeded. Got the vegetable pasty, such a good, deeply flavored dish. Layers of deliciousness and melted feta cheese and nice flaky crust. Wish these were popular where I live in Washington! AND SO CHEAP I couldn’t believe it was only like $7.75 or so. I was expecting I’d need to buy two but one filled me up so perfectly. Definitely something I would expect to be ~$12.

The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and informational. I bought the original pasty with gravy, and my bf got a sub. Both were really good!! I definitely recommend stopping here for a bite to eat!

The steak pastie with gravy is delicious. I'm just going to say to get it with rutabaga, it's authentic and more flavorful. The pizza sub was great too. There are 3 tables inside and a couple outside.

A must stop if you are in the area, even just passing through. Delicious hot fresh steak pasty! Fun sodas. And the guy running the place with the cool hat was extremely nice and helpful! Visit here.

Wow! After hearing so much about them, we wanted to give pasties a try. Honestly, it was kinda like eating a stew that wasn’t wet! It was good - make sure to get the gravy as a side. They are pretty sizable so you won’t need to get chips. Very easy to get it to go - we took it to Blackrocks and ate at the water side.

Delicious pasties, and the workers are amazing. We had a wonderful visit. We were greeted with the warm welcome of the staff and had their delicious beef pasty.

This placewasawesome. Spicy ketchup or gravy on a pastie... Both were good. Vegetarian pastie. Steak pastie with rutabegga. Or steak pastie without ruttabega. The local candy shop sodas were amazing. We tried berry, black cherry, birch beer, and a grape soda. We. Were like do yall ship to fl. And yes they do send em frozen and u can heat em up at home in ur oven..
