"Another notable truck parked at El Camino, Jeepney Street Eats is an extension of the Sari-Sari Filipino Restaurant, Market, & Bakery. The Filipino fusion focused truck has a number of traditional dishes like shrimp pancit, tocino, and lumpia in addition to the breakout star of its menu: the chicken and ube waffles. Opening at 11 a.m. on weekends, Jeepney has quickly become a downtown darling for brunch." - Polly Anna Rocha

It’s my first time here and I’ll just tell you I didn’t even think to take photos of my food because everything looked and tasted DELICIOUS!!! The chef, his name is DJ, was ridiculously kind and prepared a sample of a desert he curated on the fly … it was like a mash up of a desert lumpia with plantain on the inside and delicious crispiness on the outside. Let me just say I will be back and tell all my friends and clients about this place. Thank you Chef DJ for this unforgettable experience. Whatever they’re paying you, you deserve more. Hahaha thank you again!!!

I wanted to like this place, and perhaps it's just the pork belly but that dish was not great. In my opinion it needed a little more sauce added to the pork. But the real issue was how crunchy the pork belly was. It hurt my teeth cut my mouth and was generally un-appetizing. Perhaps that's how it should be cooked I'm not a Filipino food expert, but I eat out at a lot of restaurants; I was hungry and I struggled to finish this dish. The staff were polite and the food truck has potential, if you like Filipino food maybe try their other dishes.

Jeepney is not just another food truck. We talking about exotic and tasty food seasoned to perfection. I'm still on that Curry Katsu Bao fixation, then there's the Crispy Milkfish with Rice, many memories of the PI.

Google
They don't have it on the main menu yet but the chef told me they had vegan tofu and eggplant adobo options so I tried both in bao and omg it was amazing!!!

Yelp
Food is freaking delish! The wait to order food was short, the waiting to get the food was acceptable. They were 1 of 2 food trucks serving that evening- so the wait was longer than normal, but not more than 20 mins. I'm so glad I got the 10 piece order of the lumpia, I wouldn't have shared them if I got less

Yelp
We had never had Filipino food, and there couldn't have been a better introduction than this! Our chef was just absolutely amazing. The food couldn't have been better. We ordered a chicken adobo rice bowl and chicken katsu bao buns as per the chef's recommendation, and they were to die for. Amazing balance of spice, beautiful presentation, and very reasonable pricing. They were also located around so many other cool little places that we loved exploring and was only a few blocks from the Pearl. Overall, we'd highly recommend! I can't believe more people haven't found this place!

Yelp
I can't believe I'm the second to review this great food truck! Jeepney Street Eats is located inside El Camino. That new hot food truck spot/bar. Jeepney serves a variety of Filipino options! Their pork belly is delicious and crispy! Their lumpia is amazing! Definitely worth the struggle to find parking haha! So good!

Yelp
I can't believe I am the first to review this food truck! I ordered the Beef Tapas Bowl with a fried egg and it was scrumptious. Everything in the bowl is so flavorful. The rice has so much delicious garlic flavor and the meat is so tender and delicious. I also liked the presentation of the lumpia and the taste was delicious. I will definitely return to try their other menu items.

Yelp
Lucked out having this food truck at El Camino Truck yard. We ordered the egg roll and noodles with pork, both of which were great. Food was made fresh, took about 15 minutes with minimal people. We were sitting and enjoying the vibes. Would recommend.

Yelp
I recently visited this food truck a few days ago. In my opinion, I was disappointed. I ordered a noodle bowl with Lechon (fried pork) and I also had the lumpia (spring rolls). To mention pricing, it's a bit pricy and I was deceived when paying. From the menu, I got that the bowl was around $16 and the lumpia was $5, totaling to $21. When the guy took my card, he asked if I would like a fried egg on top which was "recommended". So, I agreed. He didn't tell me how much additional it was to add a fried egg. He then gave me a total of $25. I assumed this included the fried egg and taxes. When tasting my food, the noodles were bland and I only had 3 or 4 Lechon pieces that weren't fat. The rest of the pieces were all fat. The Lumpia was kind of skimpy because they are skinny rolls. I can say the flavor was good on the Lumpia though. I was deceived because I checked my bank account and I was charged $30. I don't know what the extra charges are for. For $30 it wasn't worth it. Especially for one person. I wouldn't have minded paying the price if I had a good experience and wasn't deceived. The guy serving wasn't to friendly either.

Yelp
This place was incredibly expensive for what you get and tasted pretty bland. I got the lechon pancit and it was super oily with hardly any veggies all for $18. Don't waste your money.

Yelp
We ordered 4 lumpia ($5 cost, which we thought was really reasonable). The flavor was good, just that they essentially cut 2 lumpia in half diagonally and called it 4, when we really only received 2.. that just seems super cheap and dishonest to me, which is the reason for the low stars.

Yelp
love these guys & they're food The environment is also great. Parking kinda sucks but doesn't really have anything to do with the restaurant

Yelp
It breaks my heart to have to give this place a low review, but I was extremely disappointed with my meal. I had been wanting to try this food for months and didn't know their food truck was at El Camino. I ordered the bowl of noodles with veggies and pancit as an add-on ($5 for meat). The total cost of my meal was $17 plus tip. $17 for a bowl of noodles was so not worth it. There's no special sauces or anything memorable about the dish, barely any veggies in it either. I had really high hopes for this specific meal because I love pancit. It was quite bland. All I could taste was a slight hint of garlic and nothing more. I don't think I'll be coming back :/ For the cost I really expected to get a delicious bowl of food.

Yelp
Best lumpia ever. Been craving this! Disappointed no longer at El Camino, heard they go to McIntyres but what days can I find them now?? Is there a certain schedule I can track this Lumpia down? Lol

Yelp
We went for the first time this January - I just want to say I love Sari Sari (their brick and mortar) & Jeepney a lot. I dont like making sisig at home so having someone I trust to make it for special occasions is so niceeee! And the modernization of a nacho version is amazing. It was a bit pricey not going to lie & but it's a lot of effort to get sisig just right so I think the price was appropriate! We are actually a nonprofit cat rescue and on the walk to our car we found a cat that needed TNR. He let me scoop him up and carry him to the car. Anyways, we named him Jeepney! The only thing is that I paid for Turon (classic and a fav) and the owner didn't know they were sold out. My card was already charged but for the cost I paid they had me pick out 2 filipino snacks from their snackbar -- pretty great exchange, so no star docking for it. Turon is one of those things that when it's on your mind, you want it ykno? So hopefully they're on the same page with their inventory when I visit next. Anyways, I'll try em again but if what they say is true and the quality is going down for the truck, I will wind up going to sari sari for my sisig fix!

Yelp
Their lumpia is the best thing in the world and their service is amazing. I was indecisive on what to get there and the guy at the window helped me choose on what to eat and it was prepared nicely just like there pictures. I got the Lechon Bowl and it was amazing! I would definitely be coming here again!

Laura A.

Yelp
Their lumpias are to die for!! I will continue to go back just to keep enjoying those

Yelp
We got the sisig rice bowl, it said comes with mango salsa but came with pineapples instead (the pineapple was soggy too, I won't even be surprised if it's the pineapple from a can). I am actually a returning customer and I remember when Jeepney first came to our neighborhood we would always get the sisig rice bowl. It came with lumpia, mango salsa, the pork was crispy and the sauce was great! It tasted delicious. Because of past experience I brought my brother who is visiting and recommended this place to try it out. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The whole rice bowl changed, mango salsa became soggy pineapple, the crispy pork became oily and doused in chipotle mayo that didn't taste good. It used to come with lumpia and that was gone too. The price also went up and the ingredients went from good to bad. The taste went from delicious to $32 down the toilet. I would have given them 1 star but because it was good in the past I felt that it was fair to average the rating. That being said, sad to say you will be losing this returning customer... if I may make a suggestion, I get that times are tough but don't cut corners. Don't sacrifice quality over quantity, specially if you are going to increase the price. By increasing your price, it will put more money in your pocket in the short run and get the tourist people that come here on weekends, but in the long run if your food sucks, it sucks. You'll lose more returning customers. It's the returning customers that you can count on, on slow nights like Mondays or Tuesdays (you know when "tourists" or "weekend people" are not here). It's unfortunate because you guys are surrounded by apartment complexes and if you're food is always on point you'll have more returning customers, but your food is no longer tasty so bye... The lumpia is good, which is consistent with other Yelpers here so actually by putting it back on your rice bowls might save you. Best of luck!
