Jefe's Street Tacos & More

I have been waiting SO long to get true, authentic good street tacos and Jefe’s did not disappoint one bit. I’ve been wanting to come here for so long and finally got the opportunity. Also, Jasmine took care of our order and she was the sweetest soul EVER. Me and my boyfriend got the chicken and birrira tacos to share. Absolutely AMAZING. The avocado was so fresh and was perfect. The meat was delicious and cooked so well. Everything on the tacos tasted fresh. Will be catering for my birthday!!!!

Jefes street tacos. The best Fancy Tacos in Corpus Christi. Amazing tacos. Great food and good people. Fun energetic atmosphere. Easy menu options and the food is insanely good. You need to come out and try the Corpitos Tacos. They are amazing! Prices are fair Food is great Service is fantastic People are great. Come check it out.

First time trying this place. The cashier was awesome. She told us what they offered and which items were her favorite as well as popular. We ordered thw mini tacos which were half pastor and half birria. Birria was the favorite of the two. We ordered a burrito and carne asada fries. Both were delicious but the burrito was hands down the star of the show. We spent $54 for 3 ppl with drinks. 10/10 would recommend!

This establishment is “Top Shelf” in every aspect. Their baked potato comes with fried cheese on top, just amazing. Their hot sauces are so tasty. My wife Belén and I love this place!

Probably the BEST PLACE I’ve been to in a long time. Their meat is so well seasoned and their service is something you don’t usually run into these days. Definitely gonna turn into my “I know somewhere we can go” place.

Hot sauce so good when it got on my dress from one of the to go cups, I wore it proudly as if I were fighting for sparta. We intend to return to try more items on the menu. Went for $1 taco Tuesday.. & just so everyone knows, you may only get FIVE TACOS FOR $1 ON DOLLAR TACO TUESDAY. & THEY DON'T INCLUDE AVACADO NOR JALAPEÑO, but anyways, I wanted the street tacos on the menu. The guy said he can make them to be like the dollar tacos they advertise on this day. First pictures are from our first visit then second set of taco picts was from today 4/29/2025. They came without the queso freco, avacado, and jalapeño. We absolutely love the hot sauce. We had our dog with us, otherwise we would've ate inside. We plan to next time, & do reccomend this restaurant. I liked the little hot sauce bar area too that's provided.

Who is bashing who???? YOU ARE NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL and can not accept CRITICISM! After reading your reviews, I can see I am NOT the only person not happy with your food or policies. I just wish I had read your reviews before WASTING my money on your crappy food. Update to reply from owner: SERIOUSLY DUDE? I bought 10 tacos and TIPPED 20% on what service??? It was NOT busy at all @ 6pm. No where in ur wannabe establishment does it say "if you have any concerns, please call owner. My daughter went on Facebook because SHE found you there. It was my decision to support a small business in Corpus. Thanks for your PROFESSIONAL response!!! I read your reviews, too. Maybe it's time for u to CLOSE YOUR DOORS!!! Not a real restaurant!! U get ur food from a food truck. Was charged a fee to use my credit card. Was never told of the fee...saw the sign after I paid and TIPPED!!! The tacos were a JOKE for Taco Tuesday. It's more like TINY TACO TUESDAY. The HAMBURGER meat was tough, and I found GRISTLE in the meat 🤢🤮🤢 Not enough parking. Had to squeeze into a space. Huge disappointment 😞

This place really let us down. Definitely just another mediocre restaurant at best. Ordered the street tacos el jefe and didn’t get the grilled onions, grilled jalapeño, queso fresco, or avocado. Everything was not even lukewarm. The queso was the cheap stuff out of a can you get at a middle school baseball game concession stand. The chips were melted to the styrofoam box, and yet somehow cold as well and not even salted. One of the cooks thought verde salsa is red. That was funny. But man…. I was really hoping this place was going to be better. Might’ve been an off day, but as our first time here…. I don’t think we’ll be giving this place a second chance. That was pretty darn bad.

The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable helped me choose tacos for a picky child. The dining area is decoration is nice love all the murals and the temp was cool. The tacos were very good perfect size and the fries were perfectly coated with cheese! The food was very very good!

Good food, but on the pricey side for Mexican street food! A couple people walked out after looking at the menu prices. Regardless, we were there for tacos and like my spouse said, "we only live once" I had birria tacos and an elote cup. He had the corpito fries ordered with asada (but was really ground beef) sour cream and jalapeño was extra. He had chicken fajita tacos. The tacos are tiny, but there are 5 in the order. Food was good and the place was cute.

Delicious street tacos! We got 1/2 pastor & 1/2 asada... So yummy and flavorful. Friendly staff. Counter service style restaurant with self seating. The corn cup and charro beans were also very tasty. Loaded fries were good as well, next time I would want to order them with meat & jalapeños. Will definitely be back.

We were excited to see this place open after 9. We were on the way to our motel after a day on the beach and needed something good.I got the classic mini street tacos and my husband got the burrito.Not sure if I saw it on the menu but it looks like they will top a bag of chips you bring in with your choice of meat and toppings.We got the pastor in both! It was very flavorful. The salsas were good too.

This place is great! Visiting family and from California, so standards for Mexican food are there. Tacos were delicious, meat was well cooked, and salsas on point. Service was fast and efficient. Vibe in the room gives really authentic tacos, and not Tex Mex! Will definitely be back!

Came for a late lunch and was really impressed! Indoor and outdoor seating available. We ordered the street tacos el jefe asada and pastor and they were both great! The elote fries were amazing as well. You can't go wrong with Asada machete quesadillas! Overall good service, ambiance and food here a must try ! They are open late on Friday/Saturday too which is a plus!

Great street tacos as advertised. Had the classic tacos with pork and they were very good. Also had a burrito that was pretty tasty. Definitely will be back

We went here unexpectedly and wow! Blown away at how delicious! We ordered the regular street tacos and corpus burrito. I wasn't even in the mood for this style of food, but my attitude changed upon the first taste. So fun that the Barn is right next door and you have the option to sit outside with plenty of shade! We will be going back!
