"Your eyes do not deceive you. That machine you see behind the counter at Jefe Tacos is, in fact, an industrial-sized molino. We imagine it was tough getting that thing into the basement food court that is Downtown Brooklyn’s DeKalb Market Hall, and we appreciate the effort. It produces some very fine masa, used to make soft and chewy housemade corn tortillas. Take them for a test drive with a carne asada quesadilla or a pollo asado volcan. This grab-and-go spot also has a few seafood options, like a ceviche tostada, but don’t get distracted from the main event: their al pastor taco with exceptionally crispy, thinly sliced meat." - Bryan Kim

I been here a few times and tried their pastor and carnita tacos, and burritos. Their pastor tacos are tasty. The burrito are big and filling. The carnitas are okay. My only issue is one day I asked for only 4 tacos, it’s should only be $10. The guy who worked in the evening charged $12.50. I know tax is not $2.50 which is a price of another taco. Plus I paid in cash too. The other times I went, the price was not weird. The lady was better because the price is always fair when she’s there.

Lady refused having any non-meat options. Not even a potatoe egg and cheese taco.

These hood tacos that hit the spot. The parking lot is kinda sketchy, but who cares. Don’t expect fine dining, and I’m not even sure if these are “authentic” but they taste good and are consistent n cheap.

The best pastor taco in town so far. I ate my tacos and had to come back for more!

This place was a the most disgusting food. The women who work there never wash their hands. They drop food on the ground and think customers don’t see them try to scope it up and serve it. Please save your money don’t get food poisoning from this place. Very rude customer service. Horrible! Disgusting place to eat

Great place when you‘re doing laundry and want a bite to eat. I got time for home made tortas, tacos, etc. any day. It’s also usually busy when I get here in the afternoons/evenings. Support local businesses!!

Very good, would be 5 star but service is a little rough. Homemade tortillas and salsa's. Recommend for anyone who wants authentic Mexican food at taco bell or less cost.
