"Jeff Ruby, who famously banned O.J. Simpson from his restaurants, is the original larger-than-life food personality of Cincinnati. That’s reflected in his eponymous downtown steakhouse across from Fountain Square, the city’s front porch. The restaurant features a solid bronze replica of Wall Street’s iconic Charging Bull statue (commissioned in Italy from the brother of the original artist) and an 1860 Steinway baby grand piano made of 23-karat gold-plated bronze and mother-of-pearl. Ruby coined the term “culinary entertainment” to describe his restaurants, and the only thing more over the top than the decor is the menu. A raw bar serves up colossal shrimp cocktail, red king crab, and caviar. Steaks — like a 22-ounce, 70-day dry-aged, bone-in rib-eye or a Japanese A5 wagyu filet mignon — can be crowned with blue cheese butter, king crab, or bourbon peppercorn sauce." - Andy Brownfield

Had a great time at Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse while sipping a drink during my visit to downtown Cincinnati. One of my friends took me there in an evening and I loved the atmosphere. They had a unique interior and the live music and it was quite unique to this restaurant bar. It was little crowded that night but it was quite fine. Great place to have a drink while chilling with a glass of whiskey.

Wow - this was a truly outstanding dining experience! Didn't grab any pictures of the food, but it was the best I've had in a long time. Started out with pork belly with an Asian flavor profile, continued with the petite filet and green beans. Savored a flavor-packed bite of the Chilean sea bass that was stunningly sumptuous. Closed it out with a house-made berry sorbet that was light and airy. Every part of the experience was delightful and done with utmost care and attention to detail. Make time to visit for a meal that will blow your mind!

My family and I were fortunate enough to eat dinner here last night to celebrate our late father's first heavenly birthday and it was the best meal we have ever had. Our server, Michael, was absolutely incredible and he helped make this experience a 100/10. Bawe, the director of hospitality and experiences, was exceptional and stopped in to check on us as did the restaurant front manager whose name is slipping my mind. We were delighted to meet Jeff Ruby and hear about his connection to our Dad, who used to work for Jeff back in the day at one his restaurants. We have never had a more hospitable experience at a restaurant and the food was divine. I will dream about the lobster gnocchi and crab cake, which was the best I have ever had. We will be back!

Jeff Ruby's is a great place to dine. Everything we had to eat was delicious. My husband ordered the steak & and lobster. I had the salmon. We ordered the shrimp cocktail and crab cake for an appetizer, along with the sushi. I think it was the ruby roll. The sushi was perfect. We ended the evening with Bananas Foster and the cheesecake. It was entertaining and tasted great, and I will always recommend a flashy dessert any chance you get. The service was excellent. Our bill came to around $375 + tip. Cannot wait to go back!

First time and an incredible dining experience! Beautiful decor, elegant, inviting and full of characters. Delicious food, we loved everything we tried, especially the crab cake, tater tots, mac and cheese, Godfather sushi roll, salmon, and the massive carrot and chocolate cakes. Service was impeccable. Jason, our server was knowledgeable and attentive, made excellent recommendations. Lupe kept our glasses full and our table spotless with efficiency, care, thoughtfulness and great attention to detail. Their hospitality made our night even more special. Highly recommend!!

Better than 5 stars! We recently visited on whim while on vacation in Cincy and we visited twice because everything was wonderful. It is hands down one of the best restaurants I have frequented of all time and was the surprise highlight of our trip. The atmosphere cannot be beat; classy and timeless decor with a cool cats vibe! Very down to earth and fun crowd to dine with. They have cozy nooks and cranny’s to dine and lounge. The cocktails were superb, great wine menu. Most importantly, the food was just perfect, the sushi, the wagyu steak and the desert. And Jason, one of the managers, is our new best friend! We will visit again soon just so we can go there again.

We had our family reunion dinner at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse this past Saturday night. From the very beginning working with Maggie to reserve the room to setting the menu She was a pleasure and joy to work with. The evening and experience was off the charts great. Sat in the bar area and loved the vibe there! They have someone playing the piano which is really cool. Eddie was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The steak, drinks and dessert were all delicious.

Yelp
We had a fantastic family holiday dinner Thanksgiving Eve. There were a total of 12 of us. The food was excellent. All of the steaks were cooked perfectly. The sides were great. And I really enjoyed the coconut cake for dessert. We were in the Legacy room with Chip as our server. He did an amazing job. His wine knowledge was very evident. He provided perfectly attentive service without being over the top. And he even threw in a quick lesson on the history of the restaurant and the famous Cincinnatians featured in the room's numerous portraits (which was much appreciated by our out of town guests). All in all, a wonderful evening. We will be back next year!

Yelp
This was the best family dinner we have ever had! We went for my husband's 47th birthday. The staff were amazing and very attentive. The food was delicious and the ice cream was to die for! The ambiance was perfect! Definitely a 10/10

Yelp
My fiancée and I came here on November 29th to celebrate her 28th birthday. She has never been to Cincinnati and Jeff Ruby's before. I've been to Cincinnati before (2018) and I've been to the Jeff Ruby's location in Nashville, Tennessee. She wanted me to surprise her on this special birthday and I knew she would love Jeff Ruby's. We had a reservation for 8pm and we had to wait a few minutes for our table; which is not a problem. Once we got to our table, we got our drinks and appetizers. Fiancée got the ruby slipper drink and I just got a water and some oysters to start the night. I also got a Caesar salad with no croutons. For our main plates, I got the Chilean sea bass and the fiancée got pork chops with Mac n cheese. She fell in love with Jeff Ruby's with the first bite of Mac n cheese. If we're ever in the Cincinnati area again, we hope to eat at Jeff Ruby's again. :)

Yelp
If you're planning a trip to Cincinnati, please treat yourself to Jeff Ruby's! Reserve early, they were booked online a couple of months in advance. I called in a month before our trip and was able to have them squeeze us in for an early 4:30 Saturday dinner. The inside was immaculate. We had a great time at the bar area before dinner service. Loved the library nook, the piano bar, stained glass skylights, mural, chandeliers and the view of the sushi bar. The bar servers were busy prepping, but were attentive and quick with our drinks. The whiskey list was full of good reliable selections. I enjoyed an O.K.I. Single Barrel Jeff Ruby Selection. (Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana) It was a nice start to a great evening. We eventually got the call to be seated and met our server Syd. What a great man. Friendly, attentive, passionate about his job and great to my kid. The menu was loaded with great choices. We ended up ordering the Beef Carpaccio - $30 Anchovy Aioli, Capers, Arugula and Shaved Parmesan for an app. It was a big portion. Melt in your mouth, thin sliced, tender beef with a great balance of flavors. For Dinner I highly recommend the Australian Wagyu Ribeye Cap - 10oz. Margaret River Beef. I wasn't in the mood for a huge steak but wanted the flavor, didn't want a filet, but wanted the tenderness. I wanted the seasoning to stand out without crowning the meat (although the Burrow Creole Crawfish sauce sounds delicious). What a home run of a steak. Flavorful, tender, seasoned just right and the slight crispiness on the outside just completed it. It was tough to choose a steak, but Syd was 100% on point with this recommendation. My pal had the same and was equally impressed. My son had a Petite Filet Mignon - 8oz Center-Cut and devoured it. For sides the Spicy Vodka Gnocchi - Blue Crab, Shrimp, Fines Herbes, Shaved Parmesan was ridiculous. I was hesitant because Gnocchi's are heavy, but the mix Crab, Shrimp and Gnocchi helped make it lighter and the flavors/spicy bite were off the hook. My son wanted their Tater Tots - Tuffle Aioli, Parmesan, Chives. He was in heaven and the portion was sharable. You couldn't fit dessert in us after that meal! Although truth be told we walked quite a bit and had Graeter's Ice Cream upon my sons request. Food check, service check, ambiance check. Thank you to everyone at Jeff Ruby's for a stellar experience!!

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday to use an old giftcard without a reservation. In the middle of the holiday season but we were offered a seat at the bar or high top in the bar lounge area. We chose the table. Service is absolutely excellent, our waitress was friendly and confident in her expertise about the current offerings. Got a few drinks, salads and entrees. The dry-aged NY Strip was wayyyy over seasoned. French fries were just okay and filet was also fine. Highlights were the salads and the drinks. Didn't love the TVs that were in the area, really took away from the steel of luxury everywhere else. Would come back to try the sushi, but not without another giftcard.

Yelp
Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse in Cincinnati is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an ambiance that is both elegant and inviting. The beautifully decorated interior, complete with luxurious furnishings and tasteful decor, sets the perfect stage for a memorable evening. One of the standout features of Jeff Ruby's is the live piano player, whose enchanting melodies add a touch of sophistication and charm to the atmosphere. It's the perfect backdrop for a romantic dinner or a special celebration. The wine list at Jeff Ruby's is nothing short of impressive. With an extensive selection of fine wines from around the world, there's something to complement every dish and satisfy even the most discerning palate. Speaking of dishes, the steaks at Jeff Ruby's are simply fabulous. Cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, each bite is a testament to the quality and expertise that goes into their preparation. But the culinary delights don't stop there. The appetizers, sides, and desserts are equally exceptional, offering a variety of flavors and textures that will leave you craving more. And let's not forget the service. The staff at Jeff Ruby's are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring that every guest has a wonderful experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to treat yourself to an evening of exquisite food, delightful music, and impeccable service. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
This is one of the fanciest restaurants I've ever been to. The only reason I was able to afford to eat here was because work was paying for it. Otherwise, I never would have had one of the most amazing eating experiences of my life. Because that's what this steakhouse is - an experience. Treat yourself and make visiting here a priority! Best service I've ever had.

Yelp
After the big Ravens win against the Bengals we had reservations at this fine dining restaurant. The atmosphere is conducive to conversation and enjoying the wonderful meal. Our server Tommy and his team were top notch. Explanations of the menu as well as recommendations. Water glasses refilled and napkins refolded when a guest left the table. We started with Oysters Rockefeller and shrimp cocktail that the 5 of us shared. Oysters were prepared nicely and the shrimp were huge. I split a Wedge salad with my cousin; we were glad we split it as the portion was large. It came with pork belly instead of bacon crumbles. We all ordered steaks. I had the New York strip, Pittsburgh style. The outside was nicely seared and the inside was medium rare as I had ordered. It was excellent. We also had the Anna potatoes and Brussels sprouts as sides. An excellent meal. Even though we were all stuffed to the gills, we shared a piece of carrot cake and some vanilla ice cream. Again, these were fantastic! This restaurant is one of the best I have visited. I highly recommend it!

Yelp
We reserved the private Legacy Room for a night to catch up with friends (12 person room). We've dined at several of the Ruby's in the past and have always been very pleased, but this was just another level experience. First of all, Maggie (sales manager) made reserving the room very easy. The room was very nicely decorated , had a large round table and a door and curtains so we were in our own little world. Shelby was our dedicated server for the evening and was absolutely amazing. She made the experience even more special. As always the food and drinks were perfect. If you are ever having a large group and are feeling like steaks i highly recommend reserving one of their private rooms (there is a 5% charge and a dining minimum). Now I feel spoiled and want to do it again. I wish we'd have gotten the Air Jordan cake instead though.

Yelp
Disappointing. Now hear me out my husband and I frequent 3-5 star restaurants and know what good service and food is. Jeff rubys cincinnati is just living off a brand name and needs to up its game. 1) we arrived a bit early for our reservation with the intent of grabbing a cocktail before dinner. We were greeted by the floor manager for the bar area escorted to a seat he said that a cocktail waitress would be right there. She never came and the host walked by multiple times without once talking to us again. Guess it saved us $$ but not the level of service I want from a Jeff rubys 2) after being unsuccessful at the bar, we finished waiting in the entrance area by the sushi bar. It smelled so fishy! We were going to order sushi and tuna but decided against it. 3) while waiting for our table we noticed that the bus boys and women had to carry all the dirty dishes from the front part of the restaurant through the entrance way past all the guests waiting to be seated. At a high end restaurant I'm appalled that the restaurant traffic flow was designed that way. 4) the crumb. Pusher. Loved the service getting the table cleaned. When the staff pushed the crumbs off of the table they were just pushed off onto the carpet no effort to make it neat. I'm sorry that is gross we aren't eating a Texas road house 5) silverware placement I expect the server to anticipate and place silverware accordingly. We ordered soup. When our server came out he was carrying both spoons and soup in hand. He placed both my husbands and my silverware incorrectly again at any other restaurant fine... but at the price I expect high service. 6) food quality: we ordered a cowboy ribeye steak. It was absolutely unseasoned. Nothing. 100% worst steak I've had for $$$& Needless to say I can't justify the price of rubys steakhouse Cincinnati and all I have to say is it's disappointing.

Kia G.

Yelp
Wow. It's a beautiful restaurant and the food is outstanding. I got the filet and lobster, and the lobster faded to the background in comparison to the perfectly cooked and seasoned, melt in your mouth steak. Brussel sprouts were also an incredible side. Attentive service. It was worth the money.

Glenn C.

Yelp
The New steakhouse was fantastic. The service was exceptional. Food prices are super high but that's what you get at a Jeff Ruby restaurant...49 dollars for lobster mac n cheese side

Makeya A.

Yelp
Everything about this place is top notch. I had my favorite Kir Royale, Creme Brule for dessert while listening to the live music. Absolutely amazing place.

Yelp
I believe this is our family's eighth year having a dinner together a few days before Christmas at Jeff Ruby's. There are sixteen of us now. We love to sit in the lovely, big room on the left, and they always accommodate us. It's a fun evening to dress up and eat in elegance. Our four young granddaughters so look forward to this now also. What a treat! Clayton is our server each year, and he is just stellar in every way. The food is always fantastic. I have had steaks at all the top restaurants in Nashville, and Ruby's is second to none. The sides are great, and those dessert boards are dangerous. It's hard to pick a favorite--I suppose my favorite is the one I'm tasting at the time. This year was wonderful as expected.

Kim S.

Yelp
We told our daughter she could choose any restaurant in Cincinnati to celebrate her paying off her student loans and she chose Jeff Ruby's. This is the first time we have visited the new location and it's beautiful. It looks much more upscale and less over the top glitzy like the previous location. As always, the service was top notch; it doesn't get better than this. We all ordered steaks medium rare and they came out perfectly. I'm always a little shocked when the steaks first come to the table; because of the way they sear them, they initially look over-cooked, but when you cut into them, they are right on. We shared several side dishes. One of our favorites, Potatoes Anna was delicious as always but the asparagus was underwhelming. For dessert, they brought out a surprise celebratory dessert since we mentioned we were celebrating my daughter paying off her loans. We also ordered the table-side Bananas Foster, which was a fun way to end the evening. Jeff Ruby's is definitely a special occasion restaurant: quite expensive but so worth it on special occasions!

Shani H.

Yelp
Came here while visiting Cincinnati. I sat right at the bar and really enjoyed the live music. I told the bartender that it was my first time there and she gave great suggestions. I got the crushed rose dessert and the toro. Everything was delicious. If I'm ever in town again,I definitely plan to go back.

Sheryar K.

Yelp
Where do we begin with this place. Some of the best fine dining in cincinnati, i've been to all the Rubys and this one tops them all in terms of ambiance! it's huge and classy. The service was great and top notch (as always). You start with bread and 2 types of butters. We opted for a sushi roll (don't remember which one sorry) to start; a must have is the crabcakes. They are so so good that I could have my entire meal with just crabcakes. We also got a steak and the fish that they cooked tableside. I wanted a show with dinner and this did not disappoint. Fish got de-boned and filleted and served it. The sides are huge here so we only got the mac & cheese and i will continue to get this as my side as it's soooo yummy and creamy but the top is crispy.

Stu F.

Yelp
Started with valet parking, then walked in for a fabulous dinner. We were greeted right away and seated within five minutes. Great ambiance in a room full of happy guests being served by attentive staff. Within minutes of being seated we had met the assistant who brought sparkling water which was managed very well through the courses of dinner. They have a fantastic wine list with pricing in line to their menu. Our server was attentive and there to make sure that our evening went flawless providing a level of service that one rarely finds anymore. We started with a watermelon salad for my wife and I had the wedge. She stated how much she enjoyed her dish while mine had a very good blue cheese dressing and a nice portion of a fresh iceberg section, along with a nice piece of pork belly. We both had fillet's with her choosing the smaller 8oz portion while I had the barrel cut a 12oz portion. They were cooked to perfection as medium rare with a nice char on the outside. Our side were the potatoes Anna and Brussel sprouts. We really enjoyed our main course. For desert we had coffee and the banana foster which is prepared table side. What a way to cap off a perfect evening. The coffee is what you would expect from a menu where everything is served as a 10, it was full of flavor and hot. The bananas Foster was over the top and why it is the perfect finish to a fabulous evening. Kudos to an establishment where the expectations are high and many know what to expect when walking in.

Yelp
Experience. Great Food. Company. Cocktails. Service. Character. Bar(s). Desserts (if you can). I often eat here on my Cinci trips and will continue to do so. Petit Filet this trip. Mushrooms as a side. Tater tots are taterlicious. Sushi appy. Everyone had meat (with 3 other guests).

Shellie M.

Yelp
Quite a culinary experience, from the parking, to the entrance, to the decor, to the service, to the food, to the drinks, to the desserts, Jeff Ruby's is THE SPOT I brought my family here to celebrate my husband's birthday made a reservation ahead of time, it was packed and in a TUESDAY imagine. I let them know ahead of time I wanted to get the Rubys Rolex cake for his dessert which he absolutely loved , he loves Rolex's so it was perfect, and the way it is presented was amazing. The food and drinks are top tier and this place gives elegance a new name. I highly recommend this especially for special events or dates, it's a place that will surely take your breath away.

Tiffani M.

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely amazing, from the great waiting staff to the great food. The decor is fantastic. It was an old police station in the early 1900s. I had the boneless ribeye and just melted in my mouth like butter. The steak was fantastic. The sides were great as well. The sautéed mushrooms and fried brussels sprouts were amazing. Overall this is a great steakhouse restaurant in a nice historic location. Definitely recommend this place if you are ever in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Colten G.

Yelp
This Jeff Ruby's is absolutely flawless. First of all I want to give huge credit to the atmosphere of Jeff Ruby's, it is stunning. Also I would like to bring attention to the food, it is absolutely fantastic. Their bread is delicious, lemonade is amazing, and oh my goodness don't even get me started on the steak. Their A5 Japanese Wagyu is stunning. It literally melts in your mouth, and adding the Wagyu butter to the steak is an extra bonus. The only problem I had is even though our Mac & Cheese was piping hot when our food came out, it cooled very quickly. Not sure why. That was the only problem we had. Oh and service was delightful, since we were tourists from NC the hostess decided to give up a delightful tour of the restaurant. Fantastic job!

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
Jeff Rubys always impresses with the vibe, service, and of course the food. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to celebrate or a special occasion. There is nothing on the menu I don't like. If I had to recommend one thing is the mac and cheese!! Seriously it is unreal!!

Kristen S.

Yelp
We visited Jeff Ruby's on a Thursday evening, with a reservation. The meal was incredible! I got the petite filet and the two others I was with got the ribeye and the larger filet mignon. Our steaks were juicy and flavorful and cooked perfectly! The sides are for sharing so we got the Mac and cheese and asparagus (had to get something green). The Mac and cheese is baked and made with a white cheddar; it was yummy! The atmosphere is friendly yet upscale...decorated nicely! Our service was impeccable. There is a reason they charge what they do. Next time we'd like to check out the bar area which had live music and looked to be a happening scene!

Bill U.

Yelp
30th Birthday celebration for my wife could not have gone any better! Fantastic food and even better service - Michael Gunther was TOP NOTCH and took care of us throughout - he is personable, knowledgable, and professional without being stuffy. Before even leaving we decided we will ask for his service by name.

Wilfredo C.

Yelp
The restaurant was recommended by one traveler seat next to me. The experience, service and all appetizers and entries order were perfect. Sydney and Jasser provided an excellent service. Highly recommended when visit Cincinnati.

Anna V.

Yelp
Truly just a lovely restaurant. I adore every time I attend here. The staff is excellent kind and smart (special shout out to our server Jason who continued to blow me away with recommendations last night). The food is delicious. Some of the best oysters I've had in a long while. And the drinks are just superb. I don't feel like I can confidently speak on the ambiance, as every time I've dined here it has been in the reserved dinning room. However, that room is beautifully elegant.

Erica Z.

Yelp
Great Valentine's Day experience!! We had yet to check out the new location & were blown away by the size and decor. Our waiter was attentive in every way. He went beyond by adding a candle to our dessert to celebrate the holiday. We are big Ruby's people but normally stick to the steak. Tried the filet and lobster sushi roll yesterday and I think I've found my new favorite app!! 11/10 experience.

Rick S.

Yelp
Jeff's is one of the finest steakhouses in the US. You cannot go wrong visiting for a special occasion. The food is excellent and service is off the chart. With the addition of sushi to the menu it has become a nice place to visit when I'm solo, sitting at the bar and want something lighter than the regular menu. It's my date night dinner spot, business entertainment go to and I visit every holiday season. Hats off to Eric who waited on us recently. The entire team was superb.

Liz F.

Yelp
My husband and I had an excellent anniversary dinner at Jeff Ruby's! The new downtown location is gorgeous and so thoughtful with the special touches In decor. Our server was fantastic and she even brought us a piece of pie to share when she found out it was our 8th anniversary. My favorite things during this visit were the appetizers- we had the meatball and the crab cake. The meatball was giant and very good, in fact it's probably the reason I didn't eat much of my actual dinner! The crab cake was as delicious with large pieces of crab in it. My husband's Australian filet was perfection.

Caleb C.

Yelp
Oh man, where do I start with this place. I've been to the Jeff Ruby Steakhouse at this location and the sister location in Montgomery. I don't think I have a single bad thing to say about it. The price point is high for very good reason. Everything I had a chance to try blew my expectations out of the water. The Mac and Cheese carries a refined taste of more select and non-standard options. The pairing of the ribeye with the horseradish cream was so incredibly decadent and flavorful. The Esspresso Martini was to die for. All of it lingers very strongly in my memory because of how distinctly high quality it was. In terms of service, I'm always so pleasantly surprised by how personable the staff are. For my most recent trip, I had the pleasure of meeting Jason. He made the experience feel very personal. He walked our table through recommendations and even history and was very clearly comfortable speaking on every aspect of the menu. He was very humorous and very social so I felt very welcome and at-home (if my home was a gorgeous dining room that looks like something out of a movie, which it is not) Speaking of the dining room, I love the ambience of this place on a normal day. Recently I had the privilege of dining in one of the reserved rooms. Absolutely stunning. From the lightning in the floor to the dark wood, I was baffled! The lighting was low and welcoming. Perhaps my favorite dining experience ever.

Nicolette M.

Yelp
Jeff Ruby's in Cincinnati is a great dining experience. Our server, was amazing, adding a personal touch to the evening. The petite filet was amazing cooked to perfection. All the sides were delicious. And the ambiance is great! Behind the bar they have a huge stage with a live pianist which added to the amazing experience. Recommendations: Crab Bisque Filet Mignon Petite Filet Mignon Porterhouse Brussels Mash potatoes

Yelp
Worth the hype! The new location is beautiful. We went here for my birthday dinner and it was the right choice. A perfect place for an intimate dinner or a birthday dinner with friends. This is top notch service, the waiters are equipped with all the knowledge to help you make the right decisions. I really appreciate suggestions, which they were great at giving. Definitely took everything a step above any other fancy restaurant I have been. The food was amazing and the crust on the steak is so memorable. I highly highly recommend getting the crab cake appetizer, for us it is now a must any time we go back. Worth every penny, we will be back.

Greta B.

Yelp
Went here with my partner to celebrate Valentine's Day. It was the most incredible dining experience ever! We had an 8pm reservation but we arrived a bit early and were seated around 7:50pm. Our server, Joseph, was very attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Since it was our first time in, he went over the menu with us and gave us recommendations for steaks, wine pairings, and desserts. He also gave us tips while ordering, such as recommending that I order a half portion of a salad instead of a full portion, as the salads are enormous. We really appreciated his advice! My partner had 2 of the Brandon's Smokin' Maple Old Fashioned, which had the most incredible smoky flavor! I had the Cranberry Creamsicle cocktail which was light and fruity. I also had a red wine recommended to me by Joseph with my steak. My partner had the Wagyu meatball as an appetizer, and it was so delicious. It was very tender and quite large! I had a half portion of the classic caesar salad, which was also delicious! The baked parmesan crisps that topped the salad made it stand out from other caesars I have had. For entrees, my partner ordered the 12oz barrel cut fillet with bourbon peppercorn sauce on top. He ordered it rare. It was cooked perfectly, and he described it as "the best piece of meat he's ever eaten!" I ordered the 8oz petit filet, medium rare, topped with roasted garlic butter. My steak was also cooked just to my liking and the garlic butter tasted incredible on top. We shared the baked macaroni and cheese and the Tso's green beans as sides. Both were very large portions which we ended up taking home! For dessert, we ordered the Affogato, which was prepared tableside for us. It was the perfect way to conclude our terrific experience at Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse! I also took a piece of cheesecake to-go, which was also magnificent. One of the managers, Corey, visited our table to ensure our experience was top-notch. She was very kind, friendly, and welcoming! Overall, our dining experience at Jeff Ruby's was divine and we will absolutely return for our next special occasion. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I went for my birthday this past weekend. Such a great experience! For the appetizer we ordered mussels and clams, which were really good. For dinner I ordered the petite filet mignon. Our table shared mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and mac and cheese. Everything was top notch, from food to service. I will definitely go back next time I'm visiting Cincy!

Yelp
To be honest there is no need to review this place. C'mon it's Jeff Ruby! Everyone in Cincy already knows. Now for a Houston boy that knows steaks and fine dining, I was like okay doll let's go.......WOW!!! Knocked my socks off. Other than a not so nice hostess the rest was phenomenal! Treated us like royalty and the food was on point. Fresh and savory. Save room for butter pie. In fact don't even come if you aren't going to eat it!!! Andrew, my man...thank you for the experience!!!

Yelp
What can I say about Jeff Ruby's! The atmosphere is charming, nostalgic, romantic, and yeah ... expensive. For a good reason... Jeff's places and his steaks are legendary. The service crew exemplary. They take great care of you. You feel special here and that's how you are served. Class and style. My steak... 16oz ribeye... excellent! Ask for Dustin... excellent service!

Yelp
Actually got to eat at this brand new location twice this week...and both times were a surprise! We went in Saturday early just hoping for a seat at the bar, but we were too late...and it didn't look like anyone was getting up anytime soon. We did order a drink and planned to just enjoy the live music for a bit, but Austin (and I'm sorry I forgot his position but he is over all 7 Ruby locations) saw my friend and asked him if we would like to sit in the dining room if he could work it out. Well YES we would like that!!! It's hard to get a reservation here. Not only did he get us in, but we were in a booth. Winning. Peter was our waiter and he went thru the entire menu with us. Started with drinks and I decided on a chicken dish with polenta. OMG good. My partner had steak, and we shared Potatoes Diana. There were to die for...I guess it's a 3 day process to make them but I'll never forget how good they were. My friend mentioned to Austin that we were on a waiting list for Valentines Day but it didn't look like we would make it. So the next day Austin calls and tells him we're in!!! I'm sure he pulled some strings. It pays to know people. So he surprised me with a return 4 days later!!! We scored a booth again and by special request our waiter Peter (he is the BEST)! This time we started with a Winter Pear Salad which was perfect in every way! Then my friend got the chicken I had last time, and I got the filet he had last time! Guess we both were impressed with each others dish. And of course we split the potatoes. The new restaurant is beautiful, filled with Chandliers and artwork. And the service sets the standard for this town. I can't wait to go back, but lets just say I've been eating well this week and need a little break! Operative word being little. You know I will be back, and you NEED to check this place out as well. Tell them I sent you!!!

Yelp
Amazing and beautiful. First time in this brand new location to meet Tom here for a cocktail before we headed out for our respective activities. Him poker night with the guys. Me home in fuzzy slippers with a good book. Love to people watch and there was plenty to observe. Lots of folks well dressed and ready to enjoy their experience. *** insider tip. The bar opens just after 4:30 pm vs what is published. I was able to stand near a couple seats at the bar until they opened up and got them. It's best yo arrive right when they open if you want a seat at the bar. I enjoyed two glasses of Cab and Tom an old fashioned with Maker's mark. We are coming back for our anniversary on Feb 2. Again I just loved the atmosphere and vibe. A cool place with a trendy vibe that I'm excited to dine at in the near future.

Yelp
This place was so good I enjoyed everything the food the ambiance the service and especially the women they even have live music perfect restaurant for any celebration or just to go hangout on a Friday or Saturday evening. We started off with a dozen colossal shrimp which were delicious amazingly huge and half a dozen of blue fin oysters also huge and two sushi rolls we told the waiter to pick the best ones he picked the godfather roll and Jeff ruby roll both surprisingly so good. For dinner I had the center cut New York strip they put truffle butttttttttteerrrrrrr on your steak makes it extra tender we got all the sides and for dessert you HAVE TO GET THE MICHAEL JORDAN CAKE AND THE BUTTER PIE ILL POST SOME PICS can't wait to go back

Yelp
Our first time at the new JR location did not disappoint. There was live music at the bar in the front when we arrived and we sat in the back dining room. Our waiter was attentive and friendly and had been with the restaurant since the 1990s. We had oysters to start (yummy) and I had the It's Britney, Spritz cocktail which was fabulous - a lavender flavored take on a French 75 and Instagram worthy. We split a wedge salad, then both had petite filets and split the potatoes Anna which were a crispy creamy take on potatoes au gratin without cheese - absolutely scrumptious! No room for dessert but they brought a small plate with a cheesecake bite, chocolate chip cookie and butter cake bite with a candle. It was perfect! I love the decadent, 1920s-esque decor even though hubs finds it "over the top". It's a big space and was busy but somehow feels cozy and is not too loud. Great wine list and overall great experience, will definitely be back.

Yelp
This place lives up to the hype if you need a one sentence review, you're good to go here. The food, atmosphere, menu, and overall experience are wonderful. I've went twice during my travels and third a 3rd time, but was booked. Do plan ahead as this restaurant is quite popular. The menu has a wide variety that can accommodate most people. I prefer the steak and sushi for my choices here. The butter pie is one of the best things I've ever had, I could eat one everyday if I could.

Yelp
I want to commend the waiter Peter and the manager young lady whose name started with a M. Thank you for making sure my steak was cooked to perfection. Thank you for your patience and your willingness to go above and beyond.

Yelp
Visited Jeff after reading all the Google reviews even though I wasn't hungry. Decided it was my time to try Royster. Got both the east and west raw bar which came with full accompaniments and a smile from bar staff. I hope to come back again when I'm hungry for a full-blown gamut of a steak

Yelp
Enjoyed a night out in Cincinnati with friends at Jeff Ruby's. While this was one of many visits to Jeff Ruby properties, I was curious to see the new location on Fountain Square. The exterior and interior carry off the Jeff Ruby's brand well. The atmosphere was exciting - a place to meet and enjoy the company and buzz all around you. Service was excellent, very attentive and focused on the experience. Food courses came out timely, elegant, and well plated. I enjoyed a starter of Wagyu meatballs, followed by the Freddie salad. I was determined go slow and go the distance but I ate it all... the main was chicken breast with mushrooms and sauce. We finished with coffee and the seasonal pie. Again, there was no need for a doggie bag. My overall experience was great and I will certainly remember this place when planning business or pleasure events.
