Jefferson Market Garden

We had the most magical wedding ceremony at the stunning Jefferson Market Garden. Zac and Michele were an absolute dream to work with and helped make our special day perfect from start to finish. The garden was an enchanting, picturesque backdrop - it was exactly the intimate setting we envisioned. We wholeheartedly recommend Jefferson Market Garden to any couple looking for a spectacular setting and top-notch team.

Really pretty place that must be a lot of work to maintain. It is a refreshing tranquil oasis in the middle of our concrete jungle. I enjoyed sitting on the bench and relaxing.

Flowers are in bloom right now. Beautiful little corner worth stopping and relaxing for awhile. There are a few benches to sit at and it’s surrounded by places to eat and shop in Greenwich Village

Beautiful, peaceful spot. Benches are spaced out so you can enjoy some solitude. No food allowed (to keep rodents away). Thank you to the volunteers who make this such a lovely place! (there is a donation box/venmo if you’d like to help support this park)

During my recent visit to Jefferson Market Garden, the volunteers made me feel unwelcome. They were rude and constantly watched my every move, even though I wasn't causing any trouble. Their behaviour made me uncomfortable, especially as a black woman just taking pictures like everyone else. Despite trying to be polite, I felt targeted and unwelcome. As I was leaving, an older lady tried to escalate things that were none of her business. Still, she intervened unnecessarily because she overheard the volunteers talking about me (her racially charged comments towards me felt like an attack and were overwhelming). Overall, I was harassed and over-policed by “Karens” at JMG. Their attitudes overshadowed the beauty of the garden, and I would certainly never visit again because of the racism, and my friend feels the same way.

The garden is decked with Tulips of various shades for the spring. A small place to lose yourself in a beautiful patch of nature if you are lucky to find an empty bench.

Absolutely stunning and a lush haven of beauty in the middle of the city. I will absolutely return for another stroll, whoever maintains these gardens does an excellent job.
