Jefferson’s Ice Cream Balham

Visited Jefferson’s for breakfast with my daughter and had a lovely time. The venue was very clean and the ambience inviting, making it a comfortable spot to start the day. Staff were attentive and friendly, which added to the positive experience. The coffee was decent, though not quite as special as I’d hoped. It’s also very easy to get to from Balham station—just a short walk away, which is super convenient. There’s a nice range of ice creams to choose from, and the outdoor eating area is well maintained, perfect for enjoying a meal outside. Overall, it was a good visit and I’d recommend Jefferson’s, especially for their welcoming atmosphere. Will be uploading some photos as well.

This is a wonderful place to get waffles and catch up with friends as not only are the food, ice cream and drinks delicious but the vibe is delightful with the pastel colours of the decor adding a relaxed, peaceful vibe. The iced drinks are sweet and refreshing and the waffles have a distinctive crisp to the outer shell, giving way to soft fluffy insides. The ice cream is flavourful and there are even power points to charge your phone. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I will be back!

Great service. There was a mistake with my order that was quickly rectified. Really good flavour. Choose your own ice cream flavour from range they have available.

I was served by a gent called Rikky. He was lovely. Wonderful coffee and wonderful guy. Shop smelled of waffles which was nice. Will definitely be back!

I see very good reviews, but I don't know if this is the place where they eat it or if the machine simply wasn't working. I ordered a Glorious Nutella and they brought it to me raw. I let the staff know and they kindly changed it for me. They brought me a new one but it was just as raw. In the end, it's sweet for the kids. They eat it and say it's good, but the price and eating something like that isn't worth it.

Had such high hopes - looked great - but they were dashed by underwhelming flavours and bad value for money. The honeycomb and Biscoff milkshake tasted like vanilla icecream - the flavour Biscoff was really prominent in the description but all it was was a tiny amount of crumb on top and a bit of sauce on the inside of the cup. Chocolate and pistachio icecream were ok. A few small ice chunks in the choc but otherwise good flavour. The pistachio flavour wasn’t consistently swirled through the icecream. Scoops in the tub were small compared to what we saw in peoples cones. And too expensive.

One of my favourite ever places for sweet treats! So many delicious options- personal favourite are the waffles which are just amazing. You can taste the quality of the ice cream and I love that they introduce seasonal specials to the menu. I’ve been a number of times and each visit has been amazing- from the desserts to the lovely staff. Highly recommend these guys!!
