I'm so happy I found this salon. Was a wonderful experience from booking til I physically left. My stylist sat with me and took notes on what I liked and didn't like and then some! I have been so impressed. Next appointment booked before I left. The result I want will take time to get to with hair growth but I'm still So happy with results.

Shayla did absolutely amazing on my hair and she made sure I got what i wanted. Talking to her felt like talking to a friend from school because she was so inviting and welcoming especially since we come from the same school. I am a notorious haircut hater; I've left countless salons in the last 7 years either frustrated enough to give myself a hackjob touch-up at home (badly) or just flatout crying, defeated. So many times I've shown references just to have them be ignored, or have been dyed a color several shades off from what I asked for. I went to Jeffrey Robert Salon on a whim, desperate for a haircut after over half a year spent growing out a botched bleach job from last summer. I was so anxious at the prospect of letting someone else cut my hair again - but, wow. I made the right choice going here, Shayla was just amazing. She took the reference I showed her very seriously and periodically asked me what I thought about how it was going, if I liked it, if the layers looked good. I was grinning the whole time, like yes, it's perfect, oh my God. She listened when I told her to cut certain parts a bit shorter; she made sure it framed my face, because I told her I was worried about that. She gave me recommendations for products to use and taught me the best ways to style it moving forward. I left glowing. This is the best haircut I've gotten professionally in ... ever, I think. I haven't been able to stop smiling - and crying, just a little, but this time out of joy.

It can be intimidating when you’re looking for a new salon. I’m 27 and I do a lot research on stylist who are not only talented, but always studying up on modern approaches, product knowledge, etc. I’ve been going to Micaila for a little over a year now and absolutely love her. I feel so comfortable with her- I can tell her what I like and she delivers. She knows what hair tones complement my skin and made my balayage look SO natural. She also matched my extensions (cut/color) PERFECTLY. She’s a stylist that just “gets it” and I trust her so much for that! This is a testament to the salon as a whole. Trendy salons like this can sometimes feel cliquey or uncomfortable. Jeffrey Roberts is a salon that delivers amazing talent and a comfortable experience. Highly recommend!

My daughter had, what I believe, was a full foil. We had a $40 off coupon and the foil final cost was $92. This was just a wash and foil, no cut. Can't say whether it was consistent with other places as we don't get foils and colors too often, but seems expensive to me. I couldn't really say, though, to be honest. Super nice staff and they were great talking to us about what choices would work and keep the hair healthy for what she was trying to accomplish. The decor is pretty cool. Old doors were used for walls and at each station. They have a pretty good referral program that you can use even for people in your own family, which is kind of nice. We were very happy with the results of the foil and will most likely be going back to Jeffrey Robert Salon again.

I cannot express how much I loved my haircut. I was in desperate need for a change. Before I went in, my hair felt crusty and matted and all I could really do with it was tie it up. I had originally scheduled with Hannah but unfortunately, she got sick and they had to cancel my appointment. They were super kind and apologetic about it and offered me another appointment the next day with another available hairstylist. They also honored the original quoted price. For example, Hannah charges $40 for a haircut, while the other stylist charges $50, they kept the price as $40. My new hairstylist was Dennise. I was attended to quickly and she sat down and had a conversation with me about what exactly I wanted and my past experiences. Honestly every time I have gone to a salon in the past few years, I leave disappointed. Last haircut I got was about 2 months before this one and they didn't cut it short enough or add any layers like I asked. It cost $150 and I was very unhappy with it. I showed Dennise some reference photos and she gave me suggestions and a walk through on what we could do to achieve what I wanted so that I wouldn't be surprised by anything. Unfortunately the picture I took with my new haircut doesn't really get the back of it so it doesn't do it justice. She did cut my hair slightly different because my natural hair is more to the curly side so she took shrinkage into consideration (and I wanted bangs). But my hair looked amazing! I honestly think I found myself a new permanent salon. I could not recommend them enough. I also saw them do a vibrant purple color on someone and it looked fantastic!!

When I initially started going to Jeff, I held him as an exceptional hairstylist. However, over the past three years, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of his services. In my opinion, he is no longer at the top of his game. The haircuts he used to give me were fabulous, and I would receive compliments from family, friends, colleagues, and even strangers. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. Jeff's haircuts no longer stand out, lack any special or unique elements, and I no longer receive any compliments. Additionally, I have found him to be lacking as a colorist. To be honest, he has never been able to deliver what I have specifically requested. On one occasion, I asked for an ombre, but instead, he gave me a brown base color and extremely subtle highlights that made my roots, midshaft, and ends all blend into a dull and boring brown tone. Clearly, that is not what I asked for. One would expect someone with Jeff's years of experience in the field to be proficient in executing an ombre, but apparently, that is not the case. Personally, I believe it may be time for Jeff to consider retirement. It appears that his passion for hairstyling has waned. While I am unaware of his personal issues, nor do I care, if he no longer feels invested or enthusiastic about his career, it would be in his clients' best interest, if he retired. I remained loyal to Jeff because I believed he was a genuine person who cared about his clients, especially those who stuck with him. Unfortunately, I have come to realize that Jeff truly does not care about his clients at all. He is merely putting on an act with his feigned display of care and concern. The reality is that he is 100% fake! He is also purely transactional, solely interested in our hard-earned money. Frankly, he should feel ashamed for charging such exorbitant prices for the mediocre work he produces. On a positive note, I am delighted to share that I have found a fabulous, phenomenal and exceptionally talented hairstylist and colorist who surpasses Jeff in every way imaginable. Not only is my new hairstylist incredibly skilled at giving stunning and gorgeous haircuts, but he is also a super talented colorist. I am genuinely grateful that Jeff is no longer my hairstylist, as he has become stagnant in his work, consistently delivering mediocre results.

I think you can see just how happy I am with the cut that Jeff gave me! I'm a hairdresser and we are famously the hardest to please guests EVER and Jeff knocked it out of the park. Def the best haircut I have ever had. Thank you Jeff and staff, it was a great experience from beginning to end.

I was recommended to Jeffrey Roberts by someone who used to work at their Kelley Square location. I had seen a local stylist (not JRS) to get a balayage look and spent $600 on two bleaching sessions but they unfortunately were a little stripy and very orange. I contacted Jeffery Robert Salon to ask for a root smudge and a toner so that I could have a natural hue of blonde instead of orange. (Brought a great photo) We decided on a look of "bright blonde that has grown out for four years". I will say the crown section of my hair looks fantastic she helped tone it to a very natural hue, and blended the stripes in. I was very pleased at the reveal it was shiny and soft, and I tipped her very well. There were no problems. While they were closed for about four days straight I noticed that the underside of my head was a very very dark chocolate instead of a toned blonde like the top. so I wrote to them and showed them the dark chocolate and asked what we could do about it. The expected and normal customer service reply should sound some thing like "oh your hair is a couple shades too dark? well let's get you back in the chair and see what we can do about it! when are you available? Let's make this right". Instead I got bullet points of where they think I'm wrong, blamed me for the miscommunications, had a complete disregard for trying to retain returning customers. I asked to speak to the owner because I had enough of kristin, and there is no reason why my dark chocolate cannot be lightened and fixed. I wasn't even mad when first I emailed. Shit happens. Color theory isn't easy, what she thought was my natural color is actually much darker than my natural color, and there's no shame in fixing that. I was no trouble in the chair, I paid whatever was asked and I tipped very well. I really did expect them to reschedule me to do something about the underside. But the underside of hair is a tiny issue that can be fixed (obviously elsewhere), the problem is Kristin's attitude. when you ask to talk to the owner, she says that she's all point of contact. Basically the buck stops with her. So you may go and you may get five star hair but if something goes wrong, and you're dissatisfied, and you try to take it up with management, you're stuck with whatever you're dissatisfied with. Not only are they not going to help you, they're going to blame you for miscommunicating what you needed even though you bring goal pictures. My goal picture is a bright blonde balayage, with no dark chocolate and I'm still the person in the wrong?! and I paid $300 to be wrong.

Kate changed my life today.....or at least my total look after half a day of dire desperation, lol. What had HAPPENED was I had dyed my hair blue. It was a beautiful ombre for about 3 months until I got sick of the upkeep. So that morning I saw a "newbie" hairdresser who stripped my hair twice, bleached it and threw some color (I wanted to be light brown). What I ended up with was badly damaged green ends and blotches of color on the rest of my head. I was in such a panic that I called Jeffrey Robert Salon ASAP. They initially gave me a consultation time to go over our options that day and see if my hair could be saved but called back and asked to extend my time so I could just chop it off. I knew there was no saving that mess. I'm soooo glad I met Kate. She felt my pain and made me feel comfortable about cutting my hair for the first time in my life. I had never had short hair before and I was so nervous!! Not only did she cut my hair but I actually ended up LOVING it and plan on keeping it for a while. I was so excited that I came back the very next day and got a balayage from her as well. I just love the results! Best salon I've been to in a while. You get the best of both worlds with the Boston/upscale quality of professionals working there and feel of the actual salon. Very chic. But the prices are very small town and affordable. This is the only salon I plan on taking my hair to!! Definitely give them a try.

Love love love this salon! I found it through a friend of a friend & was recommended to go to Micaila, that was about a year ago & I haven't been anywhere else. I haven't been so happy after a hair appointment in so long until I found Micaila!!! She's an absolute wizard when it comes to hair...going into the salon and showing a picture and getting almost the exact result of what you showed is what you should expect with her. She's amazing and I will NEVER go to anyone else. My hair is extremely long so trusting someone with it is super hard for me. I would trust her to do anything she would think looks good. 20 out of 10, you need to go see her.

I wanted to try someplace closer than where I had been going in the past. I chose wrong. I was looking to go much blonder than I was with some pink added in as well as a haircut. I went in with pictures to show exactly what i was looking for with color. The pink came out fine but I left the salon with the same color blonde (definitely not very blonde) and the worst choppy haircut. In the back I have one cut and in the front a totally different cut. I even asked the stylist to cut more a few times and she still could not get it. She just kept cutting in the back and not the hair i was pulling up and saying i would like this cut. After being there for almost 4 hours I needed to get out of there. Since they were going to be closed for the next 3 days I sent a timely email asking for a refund of just the cut and the blonde as that was what I was unhappy with. A manager did reach out to me however she was condescending and rude to me and that is why this review is here. Instead of understanding my concerns as a customer she put me on the defensive and tried to put the situation on me saying that I did not communicate effectively with what I wanted which I don't know how you do that when you SHOW PICTURES and say I want this. She did not respect my concerns about not wanting to go back to have it fixed and was overall just rude to me. She acted like I had no idea what I was talking about when it came to getting a haircut or communicating. However as a 45 yo woman who maintains a shorter blond cut and has not had this problem in the past I would disagree. Shame on them! I will never use them again and will use EVERY opportunity to let others know my experience. It's funny I have already spoken with others who have heard bad things as well.

The salon is welcoming but lacks consistency between stylists. Typically high end salons train their stylists and ensure they have some degree of standard experience--Although I've never had a bad experience here. In my experience their colorists are great.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Haley today. After not having my hair cut for over a year due to the pandemic, she was exactly what I needed! This wonderful salon works with hair donations so after she skillfully cut 10 inches from my head to be donated, she styled it exactly how I wanted it and I could not be happier. Oh and she's an absolute doll and just all around great person to boot! She made it even more of a thrill to be out and about again! Thank you, Haley!!

Worst salon experience I have ever had. Paid in advance for a cut, deep conditioning treatment, and blow dry. Receptionist was very rude, I never received the deep conditioning treatment (instead, a 5 minute clarifying treatment), and the whole appointment felt extremely rushed. Very unfriendly atmosphere, and did not feel valued at all as a client. Hair was slightly damp at the top after blow dry.

I found an awesome deal on Groupon for two treatments, a wash, and blow dry, so I figured I'd give this place a try. The staff was super friendly. I asked if I could also get a haircut and they added it on for only $15. My stylist spent so much time cutting and shaping and styling my hair, which is hard to find for such a low price. I definitely recommend this salon!

The whole team here is super friendly & hair smarty pants. My stylist Angelica is the best! My hair looks stunning and seriously she is the cutest; fun to chat with and overall knows her stuff. Also Mia who washed my hair was a doll. Honestly I have a ton of hair so I spend a decent amount of time at the salon when I go so obviously I want my hair to look great (which it does) but I also want to be around a fun group (which they are); keep up the fabulous job!!

I have been a customer here for years, Jeffrey Robert Salon is wonderful. Everyone who works here is great and they create a friendly atmosphere for anyone who walks through the door. I get both cut and color and I have never been disappointed, which says a lot for someone like me who is picky and has high expectations. They also styled me and my wedding party when I got married and everyone was satisfied. One thing that sets this salon apart from the others is the training that the staff receives. They are always going to classes and keeping up with what is current. They are all trained on the latest trends and techniques, and the stylists and their work are never stale or dull. I have referred MANY friends and co-workers here and everyone has been pleased. If you are looking for a salon that will listen to and treat you like a "guest" (as they will refer to you here), and give you a high quality cut, color and style at a fair price, this is your place.

I've been going here on and off for years. They have had a couple different locations. Hours now are more limited....closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Angelica is great. She's young, fun, and she listens, she doesn't just do her own thing to your hair. Decor is farmhouse country chic...really cute.
