Stopped in for lunch. Great location and lots of space in the restaurant. The food was good and the menu had some good options. The charcuterie board was great!Service was a little slow, but we had an enjoyable afternoon.

Our "New Restaurant Each Week Challenge", week 6 of 52. Jekyll Brewing, Woodstock, GA. Two thumbs up! All the downtown Woodstock restaurant prices are higher than elsewhere, but you get the charm of the downtown along with it. Jekyll Brewing's food was really good, and so was the service from the bartender. L had the sliders, and I had the chicken sandwich. They were both great! Atmosphere is superb.

Google
Great addition to downtown Woodstock. The upstairs seating area is great on a sunny or rainy day. The food is definitely above average for a brewery. The sourdough chic'n sammi is one of our favorites! Kimberly has been our waitress several times and she is excellent!

Google
The food is great and fresh. Service was average+. A bit expensive, only reason for 4 stars. 1 appetizer, 2 cokes and two burgers $68! Then they charge a credit card transaction fee...3 percent? Really?

Sara VR

Google
Food was delicious! We were expecting just average bar food, but everything they served was above that, excellent quality and great flavors. Our waiter Isabela was very nice and helpful. We ordered the crawfish tater tots 😋amazing! We recommend those as well as the shrimp and grits 🥹

Google
Recently visited this establishment and was wildly amazed with how great the food was and the hospitality. I ordered the black bean quinoa veggie wrap with a side of grits and it did not disappoint. I would especially like to thank our server Chase for his exceptional knowledge of the menu. A must visit!!

JEKYLL BREWING WAS OK. The food seemed just okay. The fries weren't anything I'd brag to my mom about. Had a pretty good "old, burnt oil taste" to them. The beer seemed a little watered down and flat. Maybe it was just my experience... I'm sure they are better than what I experienced, but this is exactly what I experienced. I'll try to go again.. maybe. The servers were also pretty good and not too bad. Ok Bye

Google
Best brewery in downtown Woodstock!!! This is Jekylls 3 location, and it does not disappoint. They have 2 floors, and the spacious 2nd floor is handicap accessible via elevator. They offer a selection of their own brews, cocktails, coffee, and juices. They offer a great variety of beers that are all true to style, something for everyone. Their food menu had great variety we only had light bites. The fried pickles & jalapeños were delicious! The seafood chowder was perfect for a cold day! However their pretzel was a very dry and underwhelming, I would not recommend it nor order it again. We will be back to try their other options soon. Overall, this location had great staff and were very quick and efficient shortly after their grand opening!

Yelp
Food is great... I got the smash burger and fries and my daughter got the Mike's wings... everything was flavorful and the fries are my favorite

Yelp
Great looking menu great looking brunch. Wonderful beers service is great. One of atmosphere, definitely noted to go back tasted a few beers, but had to meet some people and then have bottomless mimosas and mimosas which is with beer.

Yelp
Meeting up with family after a day of moving. We arrived first and sat at the bar. We started with just beve's while we waited, and when one of the two booths opened up we snagged it. Big enough for a family and very comfortable. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. Lamp shades over tables are shaped like hops. Very casual, while still pleasing to the eye. We didn't go upstairs, but understand music trivia was going on up there. That's fun. Besides the bar, tables and booths, there is a long high top table that fits a crowd on this lower level. We ordered a selection of appetizers to share. Those gator bites are tasty. A bit more chewing than with many other meats, they were mild in taste and definitely something I'd order again. Fried pickles are usually a crowd pleaser and these have jalapenos mixed in with the pickles so keep an eye out. The pretzel is warm and fluffy. the mustard sauce is sharp and the cheese sauce mild. My favorite was the crab dip. Warm, creamy crab dip with grilled baguette and saltines. Honestly, all the apps were tasty. The beers though. So many. IPA's, porter, brown, ale, I would have tried more but someone has to drive home. Definitely give them a try if you are a beer drinker. I prefer porter and stouts, and they came through for me as well as the other preferences in our group.

Yelp
The BEST gumbo we've ever had! Seriously, get the gumbo! Would have been perfect with a hunk of bread to dip. Skirt steak served over roasted potato wedges. The chimichurri sauce, seasoning, and onion jam made this dish better. The steak could have used a bit of salt and less cook, but it was moist due to the rest. I would try something else next time instead of the steak. Energetic, fun vibe.

Yelp
Always enjoy coming to drink cooter brown and visit with Kristy who's a pleasure to talk to. She's great bartender

Sis P.

Yelp
Ryan was awesome at the bar!!! Offered great recommendations! Staff was friendly, environment open and inviting. Hush puppies are made with the sauce! To stand alone add jalapeños!!! Oysters!!! Yummm ALL DAY LONG!! Family friendly environment. Will be back!

Mykaela D.

Yelp
The food is expensive but the beer and ambience was good. Service has always been great.

Yelp
Our waitress was very nice, but that was about the only thing this place had going for it. The restaurant was far from full and was clearly well staffed. Yet we ordered and waited over 45 minutes for our food. When the first plate came out we waited another 15 minutes for the rest of the food. And all of it was cold when it did finally come out. For cold brunch it was good but we definitely won't be back. Also, we ordered mimosas and when they came we noticed they tasted a bit different from classic mimosas. It was only when we asked that the server told us they don't actually have mimosas and it was an orange flavored seltzer. Just weird.

Yelp
$-$$ Once again, we are at Jekyll Brewing in downtown Woodstock, Georgia. We are sitting now in the upstairs area with open air windows, and also a closed-in area. The bar services both sides of the upstairs. We love this place, because it is so open and airy. We had our favorite server, Emma, once again, and she treated us very well, and with excellent service! Always friendly here!

Dawn S.

Yelp
Fantastic food and beers to match. Took our kids (11 & 8) after arriving into town and we were hungry! Great menu items and beers to complement each item. Husband had the burger and it was so juicy and seasoned to perfection. Kids got chicken and it was delish! Not only was the food on point, the atmosphere and staff were top notch. We're here for a week and will absolutely be returning before we head home.

Yelp
This is something Woodstock needed. I just wish they were on a grassy lot like Reformation. The food is good. It's slightly elevated bar food. Everything is seasoned so if you're not a lover of a seafood type season then request it without. The burger and the shrimp are where it's at! Service is great and servers make good drink recommendations.

Yelp
"The best beer in the world is the one in my hand." Charles Papazian I can say the same. I'm not a beer snob. I'm ok with bud light, even an ice cold PBR produces a Pavlovian response in me. With that being said, I was still very excited to see that Jekyll Brewing found a new home in Downtown Woodstock. The location is a little deceptive, it's easy to miss the entire second floor, with a great layout and large screen TVs. The bar downstairs stays busy. Jekyll puts out some good beer, with their Hop Dang Diggity and Southern Juice IPAs getting my vote. The food menu is good. They have all the traditional bar food you would expect, but all raised up a notch. They have a very decent vegetarian black bean/quinoa burger or wrap option. Service is friendly and fast. Very welcome addition to my personal Woodstock beer crawl.

Macy T.

Yelp
Great 1st experience here for lunch. Our server was very kind and attentive and the food was especially good. I had the pimento chicken sandwich and collard greens. Everything was extremely tasty. We had a large group for a birthday party and enjoyed having a nice area upstairs to celebrate. Definitely will be back to try more off the menu. Our group all seemed to enjoy their food, appetizers, and drinks. This is downtown so it is something that can be crowded for parking if you're there during a busy time.

Yelp
Talk about fun! We were in the mood to try out some beers and have some lunch, and this place was on Yelp, hence, we graced them with our presence. We tested five of their beers and shared a fish and chip plate. The best beer was a pineapple habenero. It was fruity and flavorful. Can't say we tasted the pepper but the flavor was complex and interesting. Moon is not so interesting. Couldn't taste the notes they described. The worst was a sour one with watermelon, lime and hibiscus. Talk about pucker. Think we'll leave that one for the foreseeable future. Next time we'll try some darker brews and see how it goes. The fish and chips were excellent. The fish is lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. The chips are beautifully brown and crispy with skins on. Yummy, yummy. Coleslaw is okay. Nothing to rave about but good. Service was right on- quick and friendly. Ambiance very pub-by. Think we will return for their oysters on the half-shell between Monday and Thursday. Looks like a very good deal.

Yelp
Some of the best appetizers and staff in the area. Their Club is an absolute must try too! The energy and the positivity of the staff make it a top tier place to socialize in a warm environment.

Natasha S.

Yelp
I came here with a friend to dance and have a good time enjoying music. This was a Saturday night summer occasion. I like sweet drinks and was happy with the blueberry mint lemonade. The waiter encouraged it, and she didn't disappoint. The crowd was jovial. The ambiance was freeing and fun. The DJ played an eclectic array of music that everyone could enjoy. The space was open and energy cool. Again, I wasn't here to enjoy the food, so I dont have an opinion on that. I would say the crowd is young and music more modern.

Stephanie R.

Yelp
Excellent choice for an unexpected kid free day date with the husband. We split the crab dip. It was good but we needed more saltines (easy request) and then we didn't even finish it all...crab dip for 2 = too much but delicious. Hubs had the shrimp rolls...appropriately priced and adequately sized. The only issue was (as with all "rolls") how do you eat it with out all the stuff falling off? He said it was very good. I got a summer salad because it was lunch and we had the crab dip. A little too much salad dressing but otherwise good. Can't really mess up a salad. I didn't get any protein... Beers...the Jack Town is a nice lager, crisp like advertised. I had the Moon People. Yum. Again great place for day date ... Also Reese was an excellent server.

Yelp
I went with a group for lunch at the Jekyll Brewing Company in Woodstock. I ordered a hamburger and a drink. The hamburger came with no condiments. I asked the waitress for mustard, mayonnaise and onion. She brought them to me and I ate my lunch. When I got home, I looked at the bill (attached) and saw that I had been charged $.50 for the mustard, $.50 more for mayonnaise, and $.50 for onion. I have held onto the receipt for months, and every time I think about it, it angers me. Not sure of any other restaurant that charges for condiments, but this is a first for me. I guess we've reached a stage where businesses push the limit on what they can get away with. My point is that I now question what corners this restaurant would cut at their patrons expense.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place. The friendly service from our bartender, the tasty appetizers- we got the giant pretzel. And crispy breaded fried pickles. Yum. Their ipas were high quality and well made! Next time I'm in Woodstock I'm coming back here. It was that good. I'm just sad it took me three trips to find it. Spent too many meals in mediocre places in Woodstock, this place stood out. The ambience was very comfortable.

Patrick J.

Yelp
Excellent service from Kensington. Food was great. We had the lite bowl, the pork tacos and coastal chicken. All delicious.

Haley K.

Yelp
Elizabeth was such a great server. Super sweet and so efficient. She made great food and drink suggestions. She left a great impression. Until next time! Thanks, Elizabeth!!

Jeff S.

Yelp
Fair. Overall. Food was fair, beer was fair. Just a tip but watch the prices on the special beers. They charged us $12 for a 16oz pour of Southern Juicy Juice. 6% beer at $12. It's was pretty "ish" as well. It's a cool vibe but the menu and food was average. But you gotta get the beer right. Nothing to run back there anytime soon.

Lauren T.

Yelp
My 4 yr old son loves this place. Frist time here and the food is amazing. They have a real chef cooking up some delicious foodie meals. They do not use chems and you can taste the organic whole food ingredients. There is no sacrifice of flavor. I loved the summer salad. The grilled chicken was definitely cooked over open flame. The decor here is so amazing and the view of the Woodstock wall mural is really nice. Never noticed all the detail in it before. 10 out of 10 Forgot to mention the place is very kid friendly and the waitress was super sweet to my kid.

Yelp
We were so excited to get a Jekyll Brewing near us! Tried it this past Saturday for football and it was a pretty good time! A lot of draft options, and they make their own seltzers! We stuck to appetizers for food, the BBQ oysters we amazing! And the pork rinds were great, the seasoning was super yummy, we could have used more though! It's a great building that has an upstairs with a full bar there and more seating. (It's a little less crowded than downstairs as well) the service was great, the bartenders were very attentive and were open to letting us sample beers we weren't quite sure about. My only complaint is the high top/bar stools are not the most comfortable stools. Which I guess works if they don't want people to stay long, I kept sliding right out of it!

Nina C.

Yelp
My shrimp salad is always tasty, & my boyfriend was happy w his entree. Always great ambiance upstairs, where we ALWAYS sit, w LOTS of natural light!! Unfortunately we'll be a lil hesitant to come back often as my salad is now $22 & the cocktails were priced at $15 mostly w one even being $19!! REALLY like this place but they're just this side of pricing themselves out of business in my opinion.

Kim C.

Yelp
I got mixed feelings on this one, but overall, I'm likely to return. Pros- ambiance! This place has a very positive atmosphere, is great for groups, and has an upstairs that has windows that open up. Who doesn't love some fresh air? Their shrimp roll is A+, and one roll is PLENTY. I like that they have juices listed on their menu for those that want something nonalcoholic. A half dozen oysters for $16 isnt *terrible* considering the area.... CONS: Their cocktail sauce. It's got some extra stuff in it, and I don't care for it. I'll ask for some plain ketchup and make my own with the extra horseradish next time. Call me a purist! The salad- I asked for ranch dressing and my salad came HEAVILY seasoned with salt and pepper. Normally I would love this (if say I had a vinagerette dressing) but it was super salty and made the ranch taste like sea water. My partner got fish and chips, which didn't impress him. The fried fish tasted like it had been sitting out as it was tough to cut through. The fries were kinda limpy too... this was our third time eating here and we plan on returning, we'll just try non-fried items and see what happens. OH! And the beer-- the brewskis are good and we can recommend trying any of their IPAs. I'd skip their porter as it didn't have enough rich flavor to it. The service was good, nothing great, and I really wish Yelp could do .5 stars because this place is a solid 3.5/5.

William M.

Yelp
My wife and ate here for the first time and was greater by a knowledgeable and friendly staff. The food was excellent. Will be going back.

Candace S.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant and bar. We sat upstairs and enjoyed the ambience. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The beer options were great. I recommend the waygu and bison smash burger and muscles .

Peter N.

Yelp
There were 9 of us, mostly from out of the area. Our daughter recommended it as it is a new place near her home. Let me get the negatives out of the way first: The fries were a 1. Soggy and cold. The spices were tasty but the soggy oily texture of the fries was not good. The pretzel was good but way too much butter or oil on it. Dripping oil that ran down your fingers. 2.5 stars. The cod was barely a 2. Tasted fishy which usually means it is not fresh. The slaw that came with the cod was not edible, zero stars. The salads were just ok. 3 stars. The gumbo got a 5 from two of the people who ate it. Also, the hush puppies were liked by all who tried them. They liked the taste and the dipping sauce. 4.5 stars. Overall the group of 8 women and one male agreed on a 2 to 3 star rating. Hope it gets better. Forgot to mention that the young woman who served us did a great job!!!!!

Judy H.

Yelp
Had lunch today and our server was Elizabeth! She was great to suggest the smash burger and helped to choose a beer. She was very accommodating and helpful. The smash burger and fries are thumbs up! Definitely would recommend!

Shanise J.

Yelp
Have had wonderful service every time we've visited. We always start with the soft pretzel appetizer because it's fluffy and delicious, and the Dijon mustard slaps. My husband goes between getting the lite bowl and the bison burger. He loves them both. I always get the black bean felafel wrap, because I am vegan... They are always happy to swap out the tzatziki sauce in that for their lemon vinaigrette, and it works out great for me. It would be awesome if there was another dish or two that could at least be modified to be vegan, but maybe there just isn't a need at the moment. The vibe is casual, and family friendly. I definitely recommend to anyone that hasn't tried it yet. It's easily our go to in downtown Woodstock.

Victor T.

Yelp
Not friendly towards younger crowd. Me and a group of friends walked by Jekyll and decided to try it out, moment we walk upstairs every single employee within eye radius turned towards us as if we didn't belong there. All of us are in our mid twenties, we weren't being obnoxious or loud, didn't even have anything to drink, simply just walked in and heads started turning like they never seen 22-25 year olds... staff directed us to security and he denies a (23 year old!!!) because his ID was (vertical)... We didn't argue, didn't cause a scene, simply smiled and walked out and found a new location. This place is more for ages 35+ or families, they made that very clear giving us the stink eye and denying someone for the dumbest reason. I normally don't write reviews, but for how funny and dumb the situation was, it gets one. When you actually get in, mostly filled with first time job, inexperienced, non-caring high schoolers taking your order and pouring your beer. Food is fair price depending on what you get.

Oscar A.

Yelp
Been here several times since it opened. Each time, it goes downhill. The food was a treat the first visits. The last meals, so many items were unpleasant. The fish literally dripped grease when squeezing it. Cole slaw was tasteless-- use some salt or seasoning, folks! Someone had the beet salad and said it was terrible. The person had it on other visits and noted they had enjoyed it. Inconsistency is a bane for restaurants. We anticipate good, hot, greaseless food each time, not a surprise de jour. You need a few more vegetarian options for the main meals, too. Okay place for a beer and the atmosphere is fine enough, but for food in downtown Woodstock? Nope, you need to do better to keep us coming back.

Grateful M.

Yelp
Great service and food! We had oysters, fish and chips, and a burger. Soooo good! If the manager reads this, please consider adding non-alcoholic beer options like Untitled Art, Barrel Brothers, Sam Adams IPA, or Groove.

Emily R.

Yelp
The food and drinks never disappoint and Elizabeth is the best!! Make sure you ask for her!!!

Austin G.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and food. The service from Kensington was the absolute best. She made sure our orders were right and drinks full. 10/10 will be back.

Maureen Y.

Yelp
Kensington was amazing!! Food and service fabulous!! Atmosphere is fun and beer is great!

Kelly L.

Yelp
Enjoyed this brewery! Recommend going upstairs for the open windows to listen to the bustling downtown. Service was great up there too. Tons of beer options (as well as wine and cocktails), as well as a full kitchen menu. Only knocking a star because when we first walked in, the the few staff at the hostess stand just ignored us.

Joey H.

Yelp
Kensington was absolutely amazing she was very hospitable and kind. The food came out quick and tasty. It was a good time

Amy C.

Yelp
Kenzie rocks! This place is a nice calm vibe. Super lit. So awesome wow love this place so much.

Lawrence H.

Yelp
Downstairs has a bit more personal vibe with large bar downstairs and the upstairs has wonderful views of downtown woodstock with its own full bar as well. Music Bingo on Tuesday, Half Price oysters 5-7 on Wednesday, Trivia on Thursday, and a DJ on Saturday! Servers and bartenders want to give you the most positive outing and will make it happen for you, don't be afraid to talk to them they're excellent at Jekyll!

Ron W.

Yelp
We stopped in during the "oyster happy hour ". The butter oysters were good. The hush puppies were outstanding. Beers were very good. Tried a few; sour, kolsch, lager. The entrees were ok. The wings were not good. Not that much flavor and not crispy. The smash burger was ok. Overall food and drink would bring me back for a second visit. One comment on the service. It's not necessary for the server to name you/call you something that originates from their perception of you. In this case it was "boss". Like - "yes, boss" , "how's everything, boss". It's not necessary and for me on the line of offensive. Not a deal breaker, but it does leave me wondering what other guests at the restaurant are being "named".

Hannah M.

Yelp
Vibes, food and drinks were sooo good! Elizabeth and Kensi are the best!!! Def ask for them they had great recs!!

Holly W.

Yelp
The food was probably more 4 star but over all experience really good. Service was friendly and timed perfectly. Everything served hot and appealing. Would for sure return.

R. J. R.

Yelp
It's always good to have another brew pub in the area and what better one than a local favorite, Jekyll! There's a lot of beer to choose from, an extensive menu chock full of goodness, plenty of TVs to watch sports and a lot of room to spread out (there's also an airy upstairs bar area with a skylight that's a little quieter). In addition to beer, they also offer coffee, fresh juices, hard seltzer and soon distilled spirits/craft cocktails. JB is a perfect addition to the area!

Michelle F.

Yelp
Kensi is incredible! Love being here & appreciate their service! Drinks & food are great!

Dale G.

Yelp
This is a lively Resturant for lunch. We had a small group of 6. Service was good, kitchen was a bit slow but the place was packed, understandable. The pros the food was good. Would I eat here again yes. The Cons - Can the ice tea glass get any smaller? Come on. Tiny. Ridiculous. I ordered the Wagu beef burger without the bun and a side of Smashed fingerling potatoes. Both delicious BUT the burger Pattie's were so small and thin it was like a slider. Only topping was the cheese, yummy special sauce and shredded lettuce. When they put it in front of me I had to ask are there really 2 Pattys? I lifted them up to check. So for two slider Pattys, the good potato side and a shrimpy ice tea plus 20% service $21.00. Omg! So this is a yes and no kind of Resturant. The yesses say go back the food was good, the No's say never order the Wagu burger again, not worth the money for what you get. My friend who got it with the bun. First comment I just got a mouth full of bread. Enough said.

Joe P.

Yelp
This outstanding brewery in downtown Woodstock serves up tasty beer and great food in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere that will have you coming back again and again. With tons of space and two full size bars across two levels, this is a terrific spot to meet friends for lunch or dinner, or to just grab a beer on your own. The beers are solid (especially the delicious Southern Juice and Hop Dang Diggity IPAs) and the food is about as good as anything I've had at a brewery in quite some time. From burgers and pretzels to BBQ Oysters and salads, there's something here for everyone -- I particularly enjoyed their Sourdough Chicken Sammi, an incredibly flavorful sandwich that was the perfect complement to a pair of beers. Service was outstanding on both my recent visits, and the ambiance is just wonderful. And when warmer weather arrives, the windows in the second-floor taproom will retract to create an open-air deck overlooking Main Street. As with everything in downtown Woodstock, parking is challenging, so get here early and allow yourself some time to find a spot (I usually come in off Towne Lake Pkwy and park in the Arts Center lot, just a short walk away). A fabulous addition to Woodstock's already-fabulous dining scene, Jekyll Brewing is one I'll be visiting whenever I'm in town.
