Why Is Candy Corn the Most Hated Halloween Candy? | Eater

"By the turn of the 20th century this confectionery scaled up production and marketed the treat as “Chicken Feed” in rooster-adorned packaging. After wartime sugar rations ended and trick-or-treating took off in the 1940s, the company dramatically increased October advertising and helped cement the association between the confection’s harvest colors and Halloween, shifting it from a year-round novelty to an autumn-only staple." - Kate Willsky

The Jelly Belly Factory and Store is a must stop for candy lovers. The self guided tour is only $8 and comes with a small bag of Jelly Bellies. The tour also includes a short train ride to the museum which has some impressive creations and machinery. The gift shop has a wide variety of items and you defiantly want to go to the discount section across from the cafeteria, there are some great deals.

Spectacular experience! As we walked in, we all got our very own jellybean bag. We first started by looking around downstairs at the shop and buying our passes. Then we all got hats and went upstairs to have the tour. We looked around and saw the factory which is very cool and we also smelled the flavors. There were a couple of games to play. They also had free fudge samples. We were greeted with slightly rude staff members and they were stingy with the samples. Other than that my experience was great. We stopped by the cafe to grab a bite and we ordered the nachos and garlic fries. Surprisingly delicious! After that, we went on the train ride, the driver was sweet and it was wheelchair accessible. Lastly, we went to the mini museum which was cool. We bought some souvenirs and more jellybeans.

Exciting to visit and enjoy the tour and of course the jelly belly candies all they have to offer. Don't forget to check out all their discounted bulk, friends and family will definatly enjoy of you brought these home.

Google
Awesome place to stop by and visit for $8. It cost $8 to get a plant tour and a train ride ! We came during a holiday weekend, plant was down. Which was still fine, we still did the tour at our own pace. They do have two interactive games during the tour that were fun, after that you can hop on the train and get a ride to the musuem. We did eat at the cafe, dissappointed that the burger was not jelly bean shaped 🥲. Other than that cool place to stop by and explore.

Google
Fantastic artwork (made using individual beans) on display! Self-paced tour from the upper level looking down at all the candy makers and machines. Lots of historical facts to interest you, yet bore your children with. Be sure not to go too crazy in the gift shop!

Google
It's almost like walking into a fantasy land. The employees are most helpful and very nice. There gift shop has a little bit of everything. There's something for everyone. And their little train is awesome and even is equipped for handicapped or wheelchair accessibility. We ate in the dining area and it was really nice. I would highly recommend this place for everybody there's no age limit not too old not too young.

Yelp
Update, lots of exciting changes since our last visit! Not to mention it was both our 1 year old and 8 year old's first visit! They loved the Jelly Belly Self-Guided Tour! Prices are $4 for ages 3-17, $8 for Adults, 20% off for Active Military and free for ages 2 and under! You must wear your paper hat given at all times and you'll receive a free bag of Jelly Beans for touring! They have a couple fun games you can play and lol you'll be craving Jelly Beans the entire time as you smell the workers making the candy! We decided to stop in for lunch at the Jelly Belly Cafe. I ordered the Loaded Waffle Fries, my hubby ordered the Jelly Belly Western Burger, our eldest ordered the Bean Shaped Cheese Pizza and our youngest had the Kid's Chicken Nuggets with Fruit Cup. Everything is Jelly Bean shaped here and the food is pretty good as well! Kids meal came with a souvenir cup! The Jelly Belly Candy Store is a fun themed shop filled with souvenirs, gift options and candy galore! I picked out my favorite flavor, Buttered Popcorn Jelly Beans Box and loved the Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice Bottle as well! My eldest picked out Boba Milk Tea Mini Cup since she loves boba, she liked the majority of them! The Extreme Sport Beans Caffeinated were a hit with my hubby at work! The Mr. Jelly Belly Magnet will make a fun addition to our fridge and The Princess and the Bean T-shirt matches big sissy's! Came in a pinch too when she got her top wet at lunch! Our last stops, the Jelly Belly Express Lane Train Ride and Jelly Belly Museum! This wasn't here the last time hubby and I visited! This fun train ride takes you straight to the museum for free if you tour the factory! We learned a lot of history about Jelly Belly and enjoyed seeing the amazing Jelly Bean art! My favorite is the Chinese Zodiacs! We'll definitely be back to explore more, we need to get their chocolate covered apples, fudge and truffles next time! My hubby's favorite is the belly flops, imperfections sold in big bags! Expensive, but fun shapes! The Not to mention they offer wine tasting pairings and host special events! SYOY! :D

Yelp
I hadn't been here in over 10 years and recently returned last weekend. I enjoyed the 'new' museum across from the main entrance, where you can take a look at some old machinery and tools, etc. The main visitor center has not changed much and was not as busy as I remember it being in the past. I think that the belly flops are too expensive. They should really sell them cheaper. This is a good place to go to with kids and during the week, you can even see the production line going when you take the factory tour, which incidentally also used to be free. They now charge for it unfortunately, although the museum across the way is free.

Yelp
Came here for the self-guided tour on the weekend. I was told that they have tours throughout the week, but on weekends, the factory is non-operating. On the weekdays the factory is operating and you can still take the self-guided tour. Adults $8, kids $4 Each ticket comes with a free small bag of jellybeans, which is handed to you during your ticket purchase, a patter hat that also represents your ticket and unlimited rides on the train, which brings you across the street to the small museum. After the tour of the kids had a kids meal which included a souvenir cup, which was pretty worth it if you were looking to get a small souvenir anyways for the kids. ($11.99) Overall, that is plenty of parking, a great place to check out at least once! ( note: there are more sale prices at the Vacaville jelly belly factory, although it is smaller- and if you're up for a hunt, homeGoods also has jelly belly candy, but a hit or miss-also located in the Vacaville outlets)

Yelp
I have always wanted to check this place out and this time visiting family, we finally did the self guided tour. It was really cool! I like how you can move through the tour at your own pace. The staff is very friendly with even the factory workers waving at the guests! There are two interactive games to play throughout the tour which was cool! I would recommend anyone checking this place out! Come on, it's the best candy in the world!!

Yelp
I have lived in the Bay Area and had never gone here. Was it worth the drive? I would say that if you like factories, jelly beans, and/or have a kid over 7, it would be a fine way to spend an hour and a half. Definitely go during a weekday morning, when machines are running and people are on the floor. It is truly mesmerizing. There are a lot of videos and audio components, but it was hard to hear over the noise of the factory and noise of whatever kids are around (babies and younger kids were not enjoying it). It would be helpful if they upgraded how they educated the public. Videos should be closed captioned and in sitting nooks if they want people to hear, especially for the oral histories. There were also a lot of wordy posters that were hard to read and keep going. So we were mostly just looking through the windows and enjoying that. There is plentiful parking. The store has all the fun flavors (and reduced price belly flops). My 13 year old had so much fun that now my 10 year old wants to go.

Yelp
We unfortunately came here when the production line was closed - decided to go ahead with the self guided tour anyway as we were already there and the entry fee wasn't bad and it comes with a small bag of jelly beans. We walked around the place, looking at covered production lines. Still enjoyable as there were historical artifacts displayed. The kids also enjoyed the jelly belly train that takes you from the main location to the museum. If I had more time I would have gone around a couple of times on it. On my way out I bought the not so loved jelly bellys located at the back corner near the cafeteria. Bought boxes / bags for $2 each - very good value! Would love to come back here again when the production line is up and running. Better planning on my part!

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the self-guided tour at the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield, CA, and it was truly a delightful adventure! The tour is available daily from 9:15 am to 4 pm, and no reservations are required, making it incredibly convenient. The Visitor Center also houses a retail store and the Chocolate Shoppe, offering a wide array of Jelly Belly products and delicious treats. The self-guided tour itself is a fascinating journey along an elevated, quarter-mile-long tour lane that provides a bird's-eye view of the entire candy-making operation. The tour features quality videos that give an up-close-and-personal look at the manufacturing process, along with interactive exhibits that make the experience engaging and informative. The Jelly Belly Express train ride adds an extra layer of fun to the visit that takes you across the parking lot to the Museum. Overall, the self-guided tour at the Jelly Belly Factory is a fantastic experience for visitors of all ages. It combines education, entertainment, and delicious treats in a way that is both enjoyable and memorable. Fun Fact that it takes 7 to 14 days to make one Jelly Belly.

Yelp
Came to the Jelly Belly Factory on a weekday and had an awesome experience! There were only a few groups around, so parking was a breeze and there was no line for tickets, which is always a win. The iconic paper hats they give you are super cute, though a little flimsy and hard to keep on, but the idea is fun and adds to the charm. The tour is self-guided, which I loved because you can move at your own pace. There wasn't any candy production happening the day I visited, but I still got to see the sorting and packaging process, which was surprisingly fascinating. Learned a ton about how these little beans are made; such a nostalgic treat from my childhood! They also have some games you can play throughout the tour, which kept things interesting. All the workers we encountered were super friendly and happy to answer questions. I didn't check out the café or gift shop, but they looked like great spots to grab a bite or souvenirs. After the factory walk-through, you hop on a little train that takes you to a building across the street. The train is for everyone (not just kids!) and was actually a highlight. Our conductor was hilarious and had the whole group laughing the entire ride. If it is raining, the train ride is not available. The museum section was a bit less exciting for me personally, but it had some cool artwork and jelly bean creations that were fun to look at. Also, you do get a small pack of Jelly Belly beans with your ticket! Overall, this is a great spot for families, kids, school field trips, or even a nice date. Highly recommend if you're in the Fairfield area and looking for something fun to do!

Yelp
I took the kids to the JellyBelly Visitor Center in Fairfield and they absolutely loved it. The whole factory floor is so interesting to watch from the raised catwalk, and watching those conveyor belts and robotic arms kept their interest the whole time! It was a reasonable price too- only about$8 for adults and $4 for kids, with free parking that's super easy to find (even room for RVs and buses). They do a self-guided tour, so you can move at your own pace. They give you a little sample pack at the very beginning that you're supposed to wait until the end to eat, they used to let you sample jellybeans throughout the tour, but they don't do it anymore. Just a heads up: there are a few spots where machinery gets really loud, so if anyone in your group is sensitive to noise, it might be helpful to be aware.

Yelp
The Jelly Belly Visitor Center is a great place to spend a few hours when in Fairfield. It cost $8 (with a packet of Jelly Belly) to do a self guided tour (adult price) to explore the factory and museum. The videos and interpretive signs were great to help you learn about the history. It probably took 45 minutes to read and watch the videos in the factory. If you want the full experience: - wine tasting - cafe/food court If you have kids it'd be worth to do the train (although you can just walk to the museum). The store had what you expect: different types of jelly beans and merchandise.

Yelp
I love factory tours. To get to see the inner workings on how stuff is created blows my mind. On a whim while in Northern California, I decided to drive up to Fairfield to see the Jelly Belly Factory. It was such a fun experience getting to walk above the factory floor watching workers make jelly bellys as well as learning about the history and seeing what goes into making a jelly bellies all the way through packaging and shipping. Part of the tour also includes the Jelly Belly Museum were you can see a lot of the original machinery as well learn about the family history. Highly recommend stopping by the Jelly Belly Visitor Center if you are in the area, it's a fun time to be had for all.

Yelp
We had a lot of fun visiting Jelly Belly factory on Tuesday afternoon. My kiddo was obviously excited for the candies but we (the adults) were impressed with factory tour. It was a great experience to see live how these candies are made. The complimentary train ride was short from the visitor center entrance to the front of museum and back. The candy store has imperfect candy for cheaper price. The disappointing part was the cafeteria. The food was pretty bad. I ordered a cup of chili and it was overly salty. My kid's burger looked very dry. My hubby's burger with mushroom & cheese looked a bit better but he said that it didn't taste good. So, just skip the cafeteria imo.

Yelp
Childhood core memory unlocked from field trips here as a kid. Perfect place to take the family and kids from out of town. They have self guided tours that are $8 adults and $4 for kids (4-17). The self guided tours are nice because you can go at your own pace. They have limited guided tours and times that you can check online. You receive a hat and a bag of 20 jelly beans. No eating or drinking during the tour and it comes with a train ride to the museum across the parking lot which is also walking distance. They also have some good sales and sell chocolate and fudge too! They have an event space upstairs, I've attended an 18th birthday here but you supply your own food. As well as a chocolate and wine tasting too. They have a cafe that makes it perfect for lunch with cafeteria style food and jelly bean shaped burgers and items! Chicken nuggets, pizza, ice cream, nachos, etc! Parking is easy as there is a large lot. My other nephew didn't get to join so we're hoping to take him, can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Awesome place to visit.Very interesting to see all that goes on in the factory. The step by step process It's a self guided tour and it took us about a little over n hour watching the video clips of the factory a few virtual games n observing the the factory workers as the working factory is below as the observation is on the second floor with windows that look down on the working area There is also a gift shop Cafeteria with an assortment of foods like jelly belly shaped hamburgers n pizza.I had a cheeseburger, fries and soda.Everything was good. Outside there is a tiny train that takes you to the museum across the parking lot .The museum was very interesting as well

Yelp
A lot of times when traveling down to Southern California from our new Pacific Northwest home, I decide to drive so I can hit up every spot along the way that I really wanna pay attention. It's a long drive and it is always hectic, but one of the things that I always schedule and is trying to come by for the jelly belly tour. They expanded it since last time and they have a little bit bigger of an area than the last time we came in another building that will have some memorabilia and cool things as well as a bunch of their discount products Everyone still love this place even though every year my kids get older and my teenager gets more teenage, but I will say that the only disappointing thing was they were not actually running the production line the day we showed up being that it was a weekend sometimes that can be the case, but it is a little bit of a bummer so maybe call ahead and double check so you're not disappointed Always grab the discounted stuff in the belly flops and all of the Harry Potter stuff that is so so incredibly cheap. Just fill up your bags and hope they don't melt on the rest of your trip and provide a bunch of gifts everyone around you always the killer time we always spend way too much money and bring home way too much sugar for everybody but every time we're passing through this is a must stop.

Yelp
This isn't just a review of a location; it's a tribute to the greatness of Jelly Belly as a whole. I love this company. There are few brands that are as committed to excellence as Jelly Belly. They don't just settle for creating a jelly bean that vaguely resembles a flavor. Whether it's the sweetness of watermelon or the bizarre accuracy of "Vomit," Jelly Belly takes it to another level. They meticulously break down what makes those flavors unique and create a jelly bean that captures it as authentically as possible. I've been a fan of this candy since childhood, and even as a near middle-aged man, I still find myself savoring these iconic little beans. They're a delightful connection between past and present. One day, I plan to visit the Jelly Belly factory to witness the magic behind the process. It's been on my bucket list for years, and I know it will only deepen my admiration for the brand. Simply put, if there's any candy experience I'd recommend above all, it's Jelly Belly. They don't just make jelly beans--they've mastered the craft. They are, without question, the true kings of the bean.

Yelp
Oddly on a Saturday, it wasn't busy at all. I clearly remembered this place being chaotic full of people on a previous visit many years ago. I tend to avoid crowds so it made my return a much more pleasant one. With less traffic, it was an opportunity to hit their cafeteria. Grabbed a Cobb Salad with Chili Fries. Cashier asked if we wanted cheese though was thinking cheese was included. She punched a key to add extra cheese. Ultimately that was all sorted out in the end, but a bit funny. The dining area was clean and kept us cool from the outdoor hot weather. Not typical of me to visit, but needed to pickup some gifts so it was a good enough of an excuse. Just being there makes me feel like a younger version of myself. I hope it remains to be there for many years to come.

Yelp
A business trip to Solano County and our flight home was delayed and delayed... so we had time to kill. This is how we ended up at the Jelly Belly Visitor Center. And yes, we took the tour. The tour is only $8 per person. It's self-guided. You must wear a hat or a hair net. And if you have big southern hair like I do, your paper hat is NOT going to fit. It's not a good look and there is no getting around it. We found the tour mildly interesting, although we did come on a day when they weren't working, so basically we were just walking around looking at equipment. Still, unless you love jelly beans (or Ronald Reagan - who has a huge presence here), this isn't a must-visit. Shopping in the visitor center is fun - lots of cute things and we picked up some very tasty fudge for the flight home.

Yelp
How many times have you passed the JBVC on your way to the snow? Born and raised in the Bay and never have stopped here before. Our son had a school project, so we thought it would be a good idea. You cannot beat the price for $8A/$4C. Even though we went on the weekend and they are not in production, there was about 20 people working in the factory, so it was cool to watch them produce the jellies. The train conductors make the ride across to the museum dipping corners so the kids can smile with excitement. The cafeteria food is priced fair and there are a ton of candies to buy. Don't skip out on the chocolate, it is not expensive!

Yelp
Super disappointed. We've been coming here for years and touring this place for the last 20 years. With new owners came big cuts in what they sell on their store. Store was only about half full of it used to be. Kind of sad.
google avatar

Joyce P.

Yelp
We did the walk-in tour which was $8/adult and $4/kid. The tour was brief but I'm glad they've added a few extra games throughout the tour. It was a perfect activity for your jelly belly kid. The tour also allows you to ride on their "train" which is really just around their parking lot (to their museum if you want to). We also got to see Mr. Jelly Belly mascot and was able to get a photo with him! Overall, the tour is a great activity for a first-time visitor. Next visits would probably just to buy more candy or chocolate

Yelp
Last time I was here was 13 years ago. It was about an hour drive from where I stay which is not bad. The weather was a bit HOT but decided to go anyways to take my son. I don't recall going into the museum end of their visiting center last time so we made sure to stop inside and check it out. It has a lot of the original tools used to make the candy and history videos and posters as well. They also have jelly bean art and other interesting things to read and see. You can also buy candies, souvenirs and other goodies. We did the self tour through the jelly belly factory and it was just like I remembered it. The smell of confectionery goodies and the see through windows bring it all to life. They too have art and souvenirs there along with a chocolate factory section that sells candied apples, fudge, and other chocolate candy. To finish our experience we stopped and had some food at the cafe and boy was I pleased with the food. Things ordered: Fish & chips 9/10 Turkey club 10/10 (all fresh ingredients and very hefty sandwich). Jelly belly cheeseburgers 10/10 (the angus ground beef was seasoned and cooked perfectly). The jelly belly burgers are shaped like a jelly bean too. Fries and drinks. See pics for food reference. Overall it's a good place to bring your kids and the prices are very very reasonable.

Yelp
When I heard our hotel was a few miles from the Jelly Belly factory, I knew we needed to visit this joint! $7 for the self guided tour of both the factory and museum. Walking through the factory you are able to see jelly beans in various stages of production. You get to walk away with a complimentary assortment of candies too! In the museum you face the option to buy reduced price and bulk candies as well as branded items. Fun for a quick trip down memory lane and a sweet treat.
google avatar

Dang L.

Yelp
Awesome visits. Tickets $7 for adults and $3 for kids. They give you a bag with some samples and cinnamon candy. We went in the weekend so the factory was not in business. However the educational videos were great to show case the production line of jelly belly and history. The most amazing thing I enjoyed was the art work of jelly belly. Tickets also include entrance to the museum which is good for you history buffs out there. Let's just say by the time we got to the gift shop I was a kid a candy store. Oh wait I'm an adult in the candy store. Walked away with over $100 of candy. But I'm planning to share.

Yelp
I don't know how many times I've seen Jelly Belly driving past on the freeway. But finally got a chance to stop by on a Saturday afternoon. Right when you walk in, you'll see huge jelly belly art on the right. Very cool! This store has everything you can imagine of all things Jelly Belly. From the individual flavors that you can get by weight to packaged candies. The clearance section is a great value to get past seasonal products. If you have time, take the tour. Parking lot
google avatar

Yelp
This place is so fun because they show the whole process of making jelly belly's. Staff members were available and engaging. Bonus points for the included bag of jelly beans when you pay for the tour.

Yelp
We went to Jelly Belly Visitor Center back in December. It was pretty far and our maps got us totally lost and took us to the outlet instead of the factory. We drove from San Francisco premium outlets so it took us over an hour to get there. We wanted to go for the tour but because our maps sent us to the outlet, we missed it. We were really bummed that we couldn't see how it was being made especially since we drove so far to get there. We did get to see the store and a little showroom that showed some of their history pieces. We first went to the store. It was cool to see so many different types of jelly beans. Many of them are unique to the store and you can't find them anywhere else. They also had some sale items for a discounted price. My husband got a small bag of cinnamon jelly beans for $2.00. They also sell other things like those Sunkist gels that I used to love as a child. One thing that they had they they only sell in the store is a bag of Jelly Belly Flops. These are all the mistake jelly bellys. Like they could be merged together or too small, something is wrong with them cosmetically. They sell it as an assorted bag so you get a variety of flavors. There's no difference in the taste, just not so pretty to look at. After getting our jelly bellys, we walked over to the other side of the parking lot. Here they had their showroom. In the showroom they showed machines that they used to make the jelly bellys. They also had massive sculptures made entirely out of jelly beans. It was pretty incredible. Overall it was a great experience. All of us had a great time. Hopefully we will be able to come back to do the actual tour one day.

Yelp
Today's adventure includes a tour of the Jelly Belly factory! Best part of coming during the week: no crowds!! :) I came into, bought my ticket and was off. I received 1 pack of gummy sour jelly beans and a small pack of Jelly Belly jelly beans (both complimentary). I was given a hat, that must stay on the entire tour. I took the stairs to the second floor, where the tour was held. After watch a very short video, it was off to watch the JB jelly bean making process. Some of the staff were nice and looked up (or down) and waved or said "hi". I can't lie, my inner kid was juiced!! I was able to go as slow or fast as I wanted going down the corridors. I bought a photo package of me with the Jelly Belly statue to take home with digital copies. Train ride was included with the tour ticket. At that point, I was ready to go and enjoy the sunshine. I spent maybe a total of 30 minutes viewing the JB making/packaging process from beginning to end. Thanks Jelly Belly! I had a blast! :)

Yelp
I loved coming here with my host kids! It's a great options to do some fun activities and the kids loved seeing how everything is made! We had a ton of fun and we were able to find some gadgets at the end of the tour!

Yelp
I had been here several times in a tour or with family and it's always been amazing. This time we did a wine and chocolate tasting and wow! It was amazing! The chocolates paired perfectly and our son was able to do it with sparkling cider!

Yelp
Took my 8 year old granddaughter to the Jelly Belly factory tour and had the best time! It was easy to find, staff were very courteous and explained exactly how the tour was to go. We ate at the cafe first. The cafe was very clean, the food was delicious and nicely priced. Even my granddaughter remarked how fresh the food was lol. You are given a Jelly Belly hat to wear throughout the tour. The Hat also gives you admittance into the museum and a ride on the Jelly Belly train. The factory itself is huge and there's a lot of walking. There are plenty of areas to stop to watch videos explaining Jelly Belly's history, the Many kinds they make including specialty ones for holidays Etc. They even make tarantula Jelly Bellies! There's a lot of interaction as you're walking through like photo Ops, games and trivia all the while you are watching workers making Jelly bellies! It was a very interesting and fun tour. You get a free packet of jelly bellies as part of the tour. Then there's the gift shop which includes homemade chocolates, caramel popcorn and fudge! Priced $-$$$. No matter your budget you can come out of there with something yummy. We had a wonderful time. Staff was very nice and accommodating. We have we got lots of smiles and waves from the workers making the candy. Definitely go the tour is about an hour to two hours.

Yelp
Enter here for fun and flavor! No longer just a few flavors! Newly added Boba milk tea and Rosé wine. Go on a paid tour and learn the history of Jelly Belly and see the awesome portraits made with jelly bellies! You even get a sample packet with the tour. Come back downstairs to pick up a custom made bag of your favorite flavors or pick up a prepackaged bag of your own flavor or specialty mix. A great bargain is the jelly belly flops (off sized) at two pounds for $4.50! What a deal! They have a chocolate section where you can pick up caramel and chocolate apples, chocolate dipped bacon and huge chocolate cloud candies. All handmade at the factory! We picked up the new sparkling water Juicy Pear and Orange Sherbet flavors to try. Zero calories and no sugar added. Very bubbly. Indulge in a sweet treat for yourself, family and friends!

Yelp
Great place for kids to explore and learn the jelly belly making process. We visited in December and the kids were able to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. They enjoyed the train ride to the museum. The art made with jelly beans were really fun to look at.

Yelp
This was such a cute little homeschool field trip for my kids. I was happy to give them an opportunity to see a factory in person. Unfortunately on weekends the factory is closed. So they couldn't see it in working order. When you pay for tour, they give you some of their less popular candy. I'm sure it's something different depending on when you go. They have a cute little train that you can take from the main building to the museum (across the parking lot.) You can take the train as many times as you'd like as long as it isn't full. The tour has plenty of videos to throughout that explain some history and the processes of the factory. There are also a couple games that you can play. The staff there was so friendly and helpful. I would say that this might not be great for small kids, maybe 3 and under. But you can make a self guided tour as long or short as you'd like. They do have an elevator as well as spacious walkways for wheelchair accessibility. They also have an accessible car on the strain. All of the videos have captions as well.

Yelp
OMG! I love this place ( and I ended up buying a grip of stuff) and am telling everyone! Jellies, hoodies, umbrellas, wine, flavored waters, as well as some of the most fun decor in NoCal. Everyone who works here is super nice and the place is immaculate! Highly recommend!

Yelp
What a wonderful interactive tour, museum and shop! Viewing the entire candy making process from start to finish above on the catwalk with descriptions and details along the way. Across the parking lot was the museum displaying a timeline from the start of the company to today displaying historical candy making equipment. All areas displayed art work made of jelly beans including icons Wonder Woman, John Wayne, and President Reagan. My favorite purchase from the store were belly flops. Factory rejected Jelly Bellys that were often melted together or oddly shaped. I highly recommend this tour for all Jelly Belly fans.

Yelp
So cute!! An amazing place for candy lovers, they have so much to offer besides jelly beans too! Great for adults and kids alike. The tour was nice, very cheap too.

Yelp
A clean, pleasant tour experience for kids which is reasonably priced. The factory tour is self paced, which allows kids to linger on whatever part of the factory they find amazing (robots, spinners, giant piles of jellybeans). Check out the hidden bargain store hiding in the cafeteria where you can get pounds of candy for a dollar as long as you're ok with candy corn tasting slightly of the mixed root beer jelly beans and mints. The very pricey bags are up front in the gift shop. The chocolatier section is mediocre chocolate -- it's not their specialty, but at least it has something for the kids that are chocohounds and aren't into sugary candies. The cafeteria has things kids would like, but don't expect any grown ups to be wowed. It's convenient, clean, and fast though. There are tons of good real vietnamese, filipino, and other immigrant restaurants nearby if you can hold out.

Yelp
Cool little tour if visiting for the first time. It was fun to see how they are made. I didn't do the museum side so I do not know how that side is. It's not a long tour. I would go back. I enjoyed the candy store at the end.

Yelp
The fiery bean challenge is the best game ever. Flaming bowels? Check. Friends hate you after eating Carolina reaper? Check. Go get yourself some fiery beans. Make lasting memories with your friends.

Yelp
Yes, finally I did the tour. I just had an awesome experience and it is worth it, especially for the kids. There is a huge parking lot and special spots for buses. After entering, we just brought the tour tickets and they gave a sample for each ticket and also for my son who is under 2. How nice of them. We should always wear the hats while on tour. Since it was a weekday, the machines were running and it was a good experience to look at the production line of those jelly beans. They have a food court with a decent menu and a good number of tables. They also have different products on site like fridge magnets, jelly beans of different flavors, small toys, and fudge chocolates. Overall a fun experience for a small entry fee.

Yelp
I have heard of the Jelly Belly Factory and its tours for years, but never had an opportunity to visit. I took my 3.5 year old Grandon there yesterday morning. They don't offer tours on weekend ends, but none the less, we had a great time. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The factory floor view is amazing. So many items and equipment. I had no idea what it takes to manufacture, package and distribute candy. Both my Grandson and I got a lot out of the experience. Facilities were clean, organized and colorful. Great experience.

Yelp
So hot cook a turkey in here, everything is overpriced the hats that they give you fall apart, one size fits none. The train is very bumpy, The tour of the factory is noisy but is very loud. The museum is freezing , so cold I cold freeze my turkey also they can't stop glazing Ronald Reagan. The food court is ok and overpriced.

Yelp
We had such a fun time touring the Jelly Belly Factory! Surprisingly, the production facility was opened on Saturday. We got to see how various kinds of Jelly Bellies are made - they are not all made the same way. Our LO had the best time watching the production process and the packaging process happen right in front of our eyes! We also got to try some Jelly Belly candy too! It was a deliciously wonderful visit!

Yelp
I've been here several times throughout the years, mainly as the result of bringing my son, daughter, goddaughter. I think for most sane adults, this is probably a one & done as not much changes. The candy shop has some decent fudge samples along with all the obligatory flavors of jelly beans. There's also a cafe in case one is hungry but, honestly, the food is just mediocre, at best. Kids will definitely be happy here; otherwise, like I said, one and done.

Yelp
This was a really cool trip. And they have several events over the next few days. (The 30Nov they light the Christmas tree). But the self guided tour is all you need over the 200 dollar guided tour. But you really get to see how it's made here. Definitely worth a visit. The biggest part for me was that they wear our flag on their uniforms the same way we do (going forward to represent forward progress, on the sleeve). It's just really cool to see a small family company to become what it is today. It actually made me want to work there after the Army. Definitely take the family here. Even if it's a drive to get there. Also pro tip buy the whole case of the belly flop jelly beans vs the three bags.

Yelp
If you're looking for a fun, family-friendly outing, the Jelly Belly Factory Tour and train ride is a must-visit! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the sweet aroma of candy, and the excitement only grew from there. The tour is $8 per person 3 and up, 2 and under are free. Comes with hats and a bag of jelly belly candy. The Factory Tour is pretty entertaining. You get an up-close look at how those iconic jelly beans are made, from start to finish. There are some interactive displays like guess the flavor and jelly belly soccer which make it engaging for both kids and adults. The train ride was a delightful bonus. It's a short but charming ride across the property to the museum. The train is well-maintained and perfect for young kids who love the experience of riding on a mini train. The gift shop is a candy lover's dream, offering a good selection of Jelly Belly flavor imaginable and some factory-exclusive goodies you won't find anywhere else. They also have a café that offer a quick lunch or snack. The museum has some old equipment and tells you the history of Jelly belly factory and some photo opportunities.

Yelp
Our six year old grandson decided to introduce us to the factory. The entrance tickets come with a paper hat and a packet of jelly bellies. The hat was too small for me but they were fine with me wearing my baseball hat. The self guided tour has lots of spots with information screens. It is an active factory floor so you really get to see the automation and production. The visitor center has a big shop, a chocolate shop and a cafeteria. We skipped the museum. Good place to spend some time with kids and grandkids. Great plac

Yelp
I came here for the candy palooza event this past weekend and I was a little surprised that they charge for the tour now especially on days when it is the weekend and the workers are not even doing anything behind the glass. I enjoyed the vendors and bought a few souvenirs, but I don't know if I will be back anytime soon. This is kind of a one time thing where if you come once you have seen it all. It wasn't worth me going through the tour so our visit was actually very short and we only spent maybe an hour and a half at the visitor center total
