Google
First time visiting this location of Jeni's in Dec 2024 on a cold Sunday night. The place was packed with about two dozen other individuals. As usual, Jeni's always has plenty of good tasting flavors with too many options. Can't go wrong with Jeni's ice cream.

Arthur Rodriguez

Google
Great ice cream place. Pet friendly. Great flavor and good service. I do recommended.

Michael Damato

Google
Great ice cream place with unique flavors and a semi rotating menu. Any of the flavors can be sampled before you pick what you want. We usually go for the cone with two fifteenth scoops, it's great to be able to mix and match flavors that work well together.

Paige D

Google
i got one scoop of the brown butter and one scoop of coffee. soo good!! i couldn’t finish the coffee because it got to be a little too much lol but it literally tastes just like iced coffee. the employees are so nice and will give you as many samples as you want. i also loved the little waffle cookie they put in the ice cream, it paired very well with the brown butter ice cream!!

Joshua Nathan

Google
Jeni's is my favorite ice cream chain, and I'm delighted that they have so many locations in Chicago. The Milwaukee avenue Jeni's is convenient, and the service is always friendly. They don't run out of ice cream. I love all their flavors. I do wish there were more places to sit. Some Jeni's locations have this problem, unfortunately.

Google
Very nice staff, polite and let me sample a few things. Amazing quality ice cream and really good prices!

With the heat and the huge number of people at Wicker Park Fest this Saturday, I decided to slip into Jeni's to cool off with some delicious ice cream. Food: I got a fantastic combination of what they called "Saturday in the Park", a combo of Wildberry Lavender, Lemon Bar, and Brambleberry Crisp ice creams. The price point was good and they also had Boylan's Black Cherry soda, a staple of my childhood, so I indulged myself. It was the perfect combination of refreshing, yet savory. Service: the workers were super busy, but took care of each person who came through very carefully. I was impressed with how packed it was that they were focused on a person at a time making sure each customer was happy. Aesthetic: adorable place with a nice flow to it.

You can NEVER go wrong with Jeni’s ice cream. One of the best ice creameries in the nation. Jeni’s uses the freshest ingredients to make their ice creams. You have the classic favors of vanilla and chocolate but then the Jeni’s classic of Gooey Butter Cake (which is their best flavor) or Brambleberry Crisp. Plus they have homemade waffle cones that are just to die for. Fresh ice cream and fresh waffle cones are the perfect combination which makes Jeni’s worth every $8 for a scoop of ice cream.

Yelp
ICE CREAM = SCRUMPTIOUS. Came here 2x within 72hrs and still think about it daily. Ordered the snow cone, brambleberry Crisp, & double dough ice cream and all were delicious. They have a good array of GF/dairy free options to fit a majority of dietary needs. They provide samples if you want to try any flavors and employees are super kind. They're pretty efficient at getting through the long lines and providing applicable recommendations. Can be a little busy but again the like moves super fast. Seating is limited indoors but sweet treat w/ hot girl walk is pretty epic too. TLDR// great decor & SNOW CONE IS 100000/10. limited time flavor so go fast.

Mira D.

Yelp
jeni's was my favorite ice cream chain when i lived in atlanta, and i was so excited to have it in chicago 2 years later! this location has a decent amount of indoor seating. we also were able to sample a lot of flavors -- the main downside of jeni's is that it's expensive but at least you can have 2 flavors for a single scoop. bowls come with a waffle cone piece. flavors i got: wildberry lavender: used to always get this flavor. it's more of a berry flavor with a hint of orange and light lavender -- tasted a bit more like sherbet than what i remembered. double dough: got this as a half scoop too. it has cookie dough pieces and a carmelized/burnt butter flavor ice cream. flavors i sampled: gooey butter cake: used to get this a lot, but it's definitely one of the sweetest ice creams they have. texas sheet cake (dairy free): dark rich chocolate with cake pieces, but you do taste the coconut base aftertaste.

Aymen S.

Yelp
Ooey gooey butter cake / Salted Caramel combk was amazing but a bit expensive respectfully $9 for one of the best cones I've ever had so I'll be back!!

Nina M.

Yelp
Great service and selections at this location. Absolutely loved the chocolate peanut butter ice cream. You can expect to pay a higher rate than most other ice cream places for this artisanal ice cream, but it's well worth it.

Johnfavour N.

Yelp
You know an ice cream spot is good when the line is out the door! Every time we go to Jeni's we can smell the fresh waffle cones when we open the door. It's definitely worth the wait, the ice cream is one of the most premium ice creams you can get. And even when you get the ice cream in a cup they give a little chip of the waffle cone. There are a small amount of seats inside so if you're lucky you can get a table. I came by to try their fly by jing spicy chili crisp limited time promotion. I got the double chocolate, salty caramel, and vanilla as a base. Surprisingly the chocolate was my favorite. The chili crisp has such a strong flavor that went well with the deep bitterness of the chocolate. The vanilla was a bit too plain of a flavor and did not balance as well with the chili crisp. Note that you can also ask for the chili crisp on the side! They seem to give more that way. It's a very strong flavor though so you don't need much. They also serve pints of ice cream to go. The workers are pretty friendly and can help you decide which flavors to get if you need help choosing.

Brittany M.

Yelp
I absolutely adore Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams! The dedication and artistry poured into every scoop are truly remarkable. What I love most is their inclusive menu, catering to all dietary preferences with non-dairy options, sorbets, and frozen yogurt that maintain the same exceptional quality as their traditional ice creams. During my visit, I opted for the Lemon Bar flavor in a delightful waffle bowl, and it was an absolute delight. The tangy sweetness of the lemon perfectly complemented the crunchy texture of the waffle bowl, creating a heavenly combination that left me craving more. Moreover, Jeni's availability at Whole Foods makes it even more convenient to enjoy their delectable treats wherever I go. Whether you're a die-hard ice cream aficionado or someone looking to indulge in a guilt-free dessert, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams offers something truly special that satisfies every palate. Treat yourself to a scoop (or two!) and discover why Jeni's has earned its reputation as a beloved ice cream destination. You won't be disappointed with the ambiance even though there may be a wait or the superb customer service !

Krupa S.

Yelp
Another great ice cream spot in the area. Some of our favorites are the wildberry lavender and dark chocolate. They complement each other so well. The butter cake is also a great flavor. Love that they have rotating flavors with their set menu. Always worth stepping in and getting something if you're near one!

Linda Y.

Yelp
This is always a great spot to stop by for ice cream! There are so many unique flavors and the service and atmosphere are always great! I sometimes don't crave too heavy of flavors here (which they are great at making if you are looking to indulge!) but they always have a few lighter flavors that I can enjoy. There are also gluten- and dairy-free options for those interested! They have a ton of take-home pints as well.

Katy F.

Yelp
Amazing, unique flavors served in delicious waffle cones! The staff is kind and will help you make a selection and provide samples of flavors before you commit. It is on the pricier side but worth it for a splurge if you have a craving!

Cami C.

Yelp
Such a fun ice cream shop! This was my first time ever at a Jeni's location, although I've had some of their ice cream pints from the store. Ice cream definitely did not disappoint! They have a lot of fun flavors that rotate through and they tend to have a handful of vegan and dairy free options which is nice. You can also sample flavors if you're indecisive or feel like trying something new. I got the Texas sheet cake flavor (non-dairy) and it was really good! The line was long when we got there, but it moves fast. The workers definitely have a good system to keep the line moving efficiently and ambience not too chaotic. I was actually really impressed and they maintained great customer service. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Caili C.

Yelp
Yum! I love Jeni's ice cream and it's a must stop for me when I'm in Chicago. I l love that you can try samples before you select what flavor you want, the standard size comes with 2 flavors and you get a fresh waffle piece on every ice cream so no need to upgrade to the waffle bowl! The seasonal flavors are always great and my favorite are the brambleberry crisp and the darkest chocolate! It's the ultimate treat on a hot day!

Carly S.

Yelp
If you haven't been to Jeni's, you must try it! I will admit I am not the biggest dessert girl or ice cream girl but I absolutely love Jeni's. I go to the Wicker Park location often and the staff is always extremely kind and welcoming. In addition, the ice cream just simply cannot be beat. I like to try out different flavors when I go typically but I have recently tried the Cosmic Bloom and I am OBSESSED! It is the best "sherbet - type" ice cream I've ever had. It tastes just like mandarin oranges and is extremely refreshing. That being said, I highly recommend the Cosmic Bloom but you truly cannot go wrong with any flavor at Jeni's. Thank you, Wicker Park Jeni's, for a wonderful experience always!

Ha T.

Yelp
The workers here are always super friendly even when there's a long line outside! My go to flavors are the brown butter almond brittle and salty caramel. I love sampling their other rotating/limited edition flavors as well! Their waffle cone/bowls are sooo good here. A must every time!

Casey S.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been to Wicker Park's Jeni's Ice Cream. Parking is still difficult as before but there are metered parking if you can snatch a spot. The entire street is very walkable. Lots of things to see. I tried three before settling on Salted Licorice and Bombastix. The Brown Butter Almond Brittle is very buttery in flavor, it's really good with the small bite but I feel like a bigger scoop can get a bit too much for me, so I went went the other two. Salted Licorice isn't as strong flavored as I thought it would with licorice, because of the small bits, when you bite into it you can taste it but it's not overwhelming or repulsive in any way. I liked that it was sprinkled strong taste rather than the entire ice cream tasting like licorice. 5/5. Bombastix was more flavorful than salted licorice but not as strong as brown butter. I liked the crunch in it. You can't go wrong with this-- fudge, and waffle cone chunks. The cup with 2 scoop comes with a piece of waffle piece. My husband got Lemon Bar and Frosé Sorbet. Both are really good, compared to all the other non-dairy options he's had. The Lemon Bar had actual lemon chunks in it, adding the texture and pocket of lemon flavor without being overpowering or bitter in any way. Exceeded our expectation for just being a lemon bar. The Frosé was also surprisingly good-- it's got a slightly alcoholic punch and is very smooth for a sorbet. Definitely pricy for the size but not out of the norm for specialty crafted unique flavored scoops. Would definitely come back to try other flavors!

Amanda C.

Yelp
Classic midwest ice cream shop that reminds me of Salt & Straw back on the west coast! Really delicious ice cream you can't go wrong with rotational flavors. Tried their strawberry buttermilk and dark chocolate. The strawberry buttermilk was sooo creamy and smooth, although I wish there was a stronger strawberry flavor. Dark chocolate was very rich and great for chocolate lovers. Like that they give you a few waffle chips even if you don't get a cone, still get the best of both worlds.

Michelle G.

Yelp
I personally don't like most of Jeni's regular flavors but I really loved their limited edition genmaicha, white peppermint chip, and the green mint chip. I also appreciate that they give out free scoops on your birthday. My friend loves this place so much that when he's in town it's one of the stops he has to make.

Moises T.

Yelp
Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is a true haven for ice cream enthusiasts, and my recent visit left me absolutely enchanted. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by the intoxicating aroma of freshly made waffle cones and the sweet scent of homemade ice cream wafting through the air. The array of flavors displayed before me was nothing short of mesmerizing. From classic favorites to inventive creations, Jeni's offers something to tantalize every taste bud. However, on this particular evening, I found myself drawn to the allure of their dark chocolate ice cream. As I took my first heavenly bite of the rich, velvety ice cream, perfectly cradled in a crisp cone, I knew I had made the right choice. I knew I had made the right choice. Each mouthful was a symphony of intense chocolate flavor, balanced flawlessly by a subtle sweetness that danced on my palate. As I savored the last remnants of my dark chocolate ice cream cone, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over me. Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams had provided the perfect ending to my evening, leaving me with memories of pure bliss that I'll cherish for days to come. If you find yourself in need of a sweet treat that transcends the ordinary, look no further than Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams. With their delectable flavors and commitment to excellence, it's a destination that's sure to delight even the most discerning of dessert connoisseurs.

Ruth S.

Yelp
Aug 4 Friday: popular ice cream spot that we had to try for dessert. Long lines out the door although service was quick. I got a scoop of bramble berry crisp and brown butter almond brittle and my husband got bombastic sundae cone and salty caramel. We both enjoyed it on a hot night. This place reminded me of Salt and Straw from Vegas but not so weird flavors. Delish. Happy licking!!!

Luke G.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Right you walk in you immediately smell the freshly made buttermilk waffle cones... I seriously don't know why more ice cream shops don't do this! It's quite a gamechanger. The waffle cones are hard, but not brittle. They soak up the flavor of the ice cream without being mushy... i have no idea how this works, but it's the best waffle cone I've ever had! On top of the great cones... the ice cream is amazing. The lavender berry ice cream has created a craving that won't go away; and unfortunately I live 7 hours away from this place. #unfortunate

Scott B.

Yelp
I especially love the birthday cake ice cream with the cake bits and sprinkles. Service is very nice and the store is nice and chill.

Amber F.

Yelp
Went for free scoops day. Wonderful staff in line making the wait not so bad! Try the wildberry lavender

Kelly L.

Yelp
Our favorite was the golden nectar!! It's their caramel flavor and it sounds basic, but tasted so much like milk tea which was such a good surprise. We would love to get some again soon. The butterscotch popcorn was really sweet for our personal sweet tooth, but tasted so much like actual popcorn LOL which is pretty cool. The coconut cold brew was just okay since being switched around tasting the other two become more on the bitter end. It was also dairy free so more icy than creamy in texture.

Paige A.

Yelp
I have grown a love for Jeni's thanks to my local supermarket, but I had to try the real thing when in Chicago and it did not disappoint!!! I got the wild berry lavender and brown butter almond brittle and the flavors complemented each other so well! I wish I could have a scoop of every flavor they have! It wasn't too crowded on a Sunday afternoon and the AC felt amazing, was able to easily find a table to sit at.

Michelle C.

Yelp
Jeni's never lets me down. I love their ice cream and great service so much! When I saw that they came out with holiday flavors, I knew I had to give them a try White chocolate peppermint: White chocolate ice cream with a cool peppermint finish. Not as sweet as I had imagined. 9/10 Pistachio macaron: Usually not a big fan of pistachio but this was so good! The consistency could not be better. 10/10 The two flavors work perfectly together. I definitely recommend it!

Deanna S.

Yelp
Cheers to great ice cream! Unique and consistently good variety. Great seating options and always well staffed so if ever a line it moves really quickly. Favorite in area

Daw M.

Yelp
The Wildberry Lavender was fabulous! The lavender was not overpowering which is great because it didn't taste like soap! The bramble crisp was very jammy and rainbow was tart :) Parking sucks! And the interior is very cute but slim. Love the unique flavors and will definitely be back for more when in town!

Sarah H.

Yelp
Who doesn't love Jeni's?! It's arguably the best ice cream shop in the Chicago area, and I can never get enough of it. Their holiday flavors are out and I knew I had to try. I got the Pistachio Macaron (holiday flavor) & Texas Sheet Cake (dairy-free), and my sister got the Brambleberry Crisp & Gooey Butter Cake. They were all delicious, but my personal favorite was the brambleberry crisp! They're pretty costly, coming in at around $7 for 2 half-scoops or 1 regular scoop. But I definitely think they're worth it!

Catherine N.

Yelp
Got the sherbet with buttermilk and it was creamy, tangy, with bright flavors. Really good. The waffle cone garnish is a nice touch...but is it possible to say their waffle cone is a bit _too_ buttery? LOL. Definitely returning to try more flavors and conduct some more research on the can-waffle-cones-be-over-buttery question.

Jasmine C.

Yelp
Very clean bathroom! It's the first thing I did when I got here . Of course the place itself is always spanking clean!!! I tried the honey vanilla today and the new strawberry flavors which are fantastic !!

Cheyenne G.

Yelp
The moment you walk in, you're hit with mouth-watering inducing aroma. To my surprise, it was a young lady making homemade waffle & sugar cones! In that moment, I knew Jeni's was about to change my life! They have an array for unique and traditional ice cream flavors. I'm trying to watch my figure (lol), so I went with their Frose Sorbet! Goodness gracious, they need to sell this by the pint! It was so flavorful and fresh... if you love fruit and want to indulge in something sweet without the guild, this one is for you! The service was absolutely wonderful! And even with the long line, we were in and out in less than 5mins. Certainly worth the stop for an afternoon treat!

Kendall L.

Yelp
Jeni's has the best ice cream hands down!! Salty Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks and Brambleberry are my go-to!

Alan Z.

Yelp
The ice cream here is great. I got one of the coffee flavors and it was really good. Not too sweet and with that bittersweet coffee taste. I really like how they have cake cones since I prefer them over waffle cones. My only issue with the ice cream is that I also liked creamier ice cream and theirs is a little bit on the lighter side.

Siobhan D.

Yelp
I am passionate about Jeni's ice cream and made the hike to stock up on pints! It's an investment, but well worth the drive and the price tag. Over 20 flavors of pints were in stock, including my favorites: lavender and brambleberry! Perfect service. No line. Super COVID safety precautions. This is a great location, too. Easy Park & Pay street parking. It only cost me 53 cents to park!

Kamilah S.

Yelp
Jeni's has the best ice cream hands down. The staff is great, unfortunately, due to Covid, no tastings. The staff made great recommendations. I throughly enjoyed my ice cream

Holly S.

Yelp
It's taken me awhile to jump on the Jeni's train because the first few times I went I wasn't wowed by any flavors unlike the many people I know who rant any rave about it. However, I recently gave it another try and really enjoyed it! I'm not sure if I just never tried the right flavors for my palate or if my taste buds have changed or what. I will also say the staff is always great and the space is cool and clean.

Jazlyn G.

Yelp
I ordered the wild berry lavender at Jeni's during my last trip to Chicago. Served in a giant waffle cone, this dessert transported me down memory lane. I can only describe the ice cream as fresh and natural tasting setting it apart from anything too sugary or artificial. Jenis is located in Wicker Park making it an ideal location to stop at amidst shopping or taking an afternoon stroll.

Teodora I.

Yelp
My favorite pint now in scoop form! I tried a classic favorite gooey butter cake and the pistachio macaron as a half and half scoop! Portions were extremely generous. The pistachio macaron was AMAZING. Salty, sweet, and the perfect balance of pistachio with a little macaroon cookie texture. DELICIOUS

Natalie D.

Yelp
Oh Jeni's, I love you so. Even though you are outrageously priced, you are so very worth it. Incredible flavors, a really nice selection of ice cream, soft, buttery waffle cones. My favorite are the lemon bar, rainbow, wedding cake, Texas sheet cake and I rotate these depending on my mood. There's something for everyone here. One of the best Ice cream shops I've ever had.

Julio L.

Yelp
I got the brown butter almond brittle and bramble berry crisp just the right sweetness delicious the mixture is just right most be fresh natural ingredients use

Karina O.

Yelp
Mediocre service. Terrifyingly bland and horrific choices for ice cream. Why does their $2.77 boxed water bottle have more flavor than their ice cream? Overpriced as well!! Can this place do anything right?

Boyo I.

Yelp
Yow! I may have had ice cream as good as this someplace else (like Toscanini's in Cambridge) but I've never had any that was better. The milk chocolate flavor was exceptional. This is appointment ice cream.

Brandon S.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service! The waffle cones are out of this world. Total game changer

Carlos M.

Yelp
Large space, clean bathrooms. Amazing flavors. Great, ice cream spot. Nothing to not like.

Ellie K.

Yelp
I love the smell of waffle cone when I enter the store. I've been here so many times and they have many unique flavors. Wildberry lavender is my go-to, sooo good!

Jose C.

Yelp
We came here on a hot weekday afternoon and luckily didn't experience any long lines. Don't come here if you're looking for your traditional ice cream flavors. Jeni's offers a lot more than that, and it works! We weren't that hungry to each have our own cones so we opted for their their trio sampler. We ordered their Salty caramel, cold brew with coconut cream, and frose sorbet. The frose sorbet was my least favorite. A sangria style frozen rose, with pear, strawberry and watermelon. It was refreshing, just didn't taste all that great. The salty caramel was good, a nice balance with sweet and salt, but my favorite was their cold brew with coconut cream. Cold brew coffee with a hint of coconut in every bite. Definitely a must try. They even add a chip of a waffle cone. A nice touch indeed. Next time we come back, we're going to come with a bigger appetite so we can each order our own cone.

Madison S.

Yelp
Man . This place is hot fire . The flavors are amazing and the staff is super friendly. . I would 100% recommend trying the flavors (they're super nice about trying different options) but I got the bramble berry and salted peanut butter and they were absolutely amazing .

Angela K.

Yelp
I haven't seen anyone who doesn't like Jeni's. I have seen people fall in love with Jeni's, but no one has complained about them. As always, I had the scent of homemade waffle cones welcome me in as soon as I open the door. I was instantly drawn into the list of flavors and could not resist the fall special flavor, pumpkin crème pie (sorry I made that up, I forget the name but it was something like that). It was smooth and bursting with fall flavors. I love the texture and density of the ice cream and the waffle cones are a must!

Jeanette R.

Yelp
This place actually is SPLENDID, living up to its name, and is home of the MOST DELICIOUS HOUSE-MADE WAFFLE CONES I have EVER had the pleasure of enjoying! Seriously great. Not many vegan options but the one they had, which I got, called "Texas Sheet" (chocolate, on chocolate) was F****** AMAZING. I would definitely suggest this ice cream spot and do not dare ask for it in a cup, unless, of course, it is in their house-made waffle cup! Wow! Do give this place a try, they have 20 revolving flavors to choose from, and you will not be disappointed ;)
