Jeni’s Ice Cream Is Opening in Poncey-Highland, Atlanta, Snooze AM Eatery Opens in Sandy Springs, Red Snapper Restaurant Closes on Cheshire Bridge Road | Eater Atlanta

"An Ohio-based ice cream company is set to move into the former Queen of Cream space at the Plaza on Ponce in Poncey-Highland. It recently released an Everything Bagel sweet cream flavor — a streusel blended with sesame and poppy seeds plus onion and garlic — and is shipping pints nationwide while also making them available in its shops. The new bagel-flavored ice cream will also be offered by the scoop at its Atlanta locations, including Krog Street Market and Westside Provisions District, beginning February 6." - Beth McKibben

Google
Really liked this place. The milkest chocolate is the best flavor for me. The waffle cone is salty and do not like it. Paid almost $19 for 2 sets of half scoops on waffle cones. You’re better off just getting it in the pints. The half scoops are big. Would come back though.

Michelle C.

Google
A friend and I split a small half and half scoop of Wild Lavendar and Darkest Chocolate. I really appreciate the variety of flavors presented and the fact that you can do half-scoops!!! They add a small sugar cone waffle piece right in between the two half scoops. After eating at Ponce City Market, this was an awesome place to grab desserts. So grateful. God bless you all!

Google
I had a bad first experience with Jeni’s, so this was my redemption Jeni’s. Flavors tasted great, there wasn’t a line when we got there, and service was quick. There wasn’t really a place to sit and hang out after — we ended up just standing around outside the shop. However, although this was a good redemption, I’m not sure if the steeper price tag is worth it (maybe occasionally).

Google
This ice cream 100% takes an acquired taste ! It is authentic in that I have traveled many places and ALWAYS get ice cream. Never had I ever had a biscuits and peach flavor. For this I gave 4 stars however, it is more of a peach jam and I had hoped for actual peaches 🍑 the biscuits add a salty vibe to the sweet. I'd say it's worth a try if you enjoy that however, there are multiple other flavor options that I'm sure are amazing !

Google
First of all, I LOVE ICE CREAM 😋😆!!! So thank you soooo much yelp!! Thank you Jeni’s Ice cream as well. The cashier was so nice, so sweet and accommodating. I was able to try the new flavor ice cream as well as taste an old favorite which is the Brambleberry Crip (the best). For my trio I had Brambleberry crip of course, Coffee with Cream and Sugar, and Wildberry Lavender. ABSOLUTELY delicious! I had two picky eaters that don’t care to try new things with me and they loved it. If I were to go back, I’d get those same exact flavors all over again.

Google
The Maple Syrup Pancake was absolutely amazing and I am definitely going to be back for these. I also got the Brambleberry Crisp and Peanut Butter Chocolate Flecks. I was surprised there was no seating but we went next door to insomnia and got cookies to compliment the ice cream which more than made up for it!

Google
On our night city tour our tour guide stopped us here and told us this was the best ice cream in the city and HE DIDNT LIE! OMG this ice cream was amazing!!! I fell in love with the gooey butter ice cream( if that’s the name). Every time I visit Atlanta I will be coming here for this ice cream!

Google
Great ice cream! This location is smaller and located off a shopping area on Ponce. It operates out of a roadside window, and because it's a smaller location there are fewer flavors than the West Midtown Jeni's which has the full store, but it still had most of the classic flavors! They had a few flavors for sale in pints as well. Tried the wildberry lavender, and it was delicious.

Yelp
WE ALL SCREAM FOR JENIS ICE CREAM | I've been to this Jeni's location a few times now, even though it's a bit further out from home. This location is interesting since there is no seating, no lobby, nothing. It's a walk up order window - grab and go. While I thought this would be inconvenient, I actually really like the concept - at least when the weather is pleasant. I've never had bad service here - everyone has been friendly and helpful. Parking is a pain but usually there's a few spots on the street right in front of the window that I've temporarily parked at. Definitely the best spot to grab ice cream to go in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood!

Yelp
Beautiful Location, Just Not My Flavor ‍ I really want to love Jeni's -- the location is great, the vibe is cool, and they offer a wide variety of unique and creative flavors. But after giving it several tries (different locations and even store-bought pints), I've come to accept...it's just not for me. Something about the taste always seems a little off, no matter which flavor I try. That said, this is clearly a popular spot, and I know plenty of people who love it -- so I wouldn't discourage anyone from giving it a shot. With so many flavor options, there's a good chance you'll find something that hits the spot. Prices are decent -- not outrageous, but you're definitely paying a bit for the branding and boutique experience. I'm giving it 4 stars out of fairness -- great concept, great presentation, just not my personal favorite when it comes to taste.

Yelp
Tried the new S'mores flavor with Gooey Butter Cake. The s'mores had that perfect marshmallow-chocolate taste, and the butter cake is always a favorite. Loved that it's a walk-up window--super easy and fun, especially on a nice day. Quick service and friendly staff. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
It's pretty much the exact same as the tub versions you can get at Walmart lol BUT u don't get the cone!! Also way more flavors available at the shop ok Ik I wrote that like the cone is super good and worth the trip to a jeni's over a Walmart but the cone was actually kinda mid needs to be sweeter and also there's a GAPING hole at the bottom so unless you're a professional ice cream muncher like my mom and brother - hope ur ok w having ice cream dripping down your arm OR sucking in from the bottom lol in terms of ice cream: it's smooth and flavors are very natural tasting. Also not too sweet and very generous with mix ins and toppings! My fave was fs the berry ones but if u ain't got a jeni's where u live - the tub versions are just as good so u don't have to feel like ur missing out IG: Spillingthe.beans

Yelp
While a little pricy for ice cream, it's well worth it. One of the best ice creams I've ever had. The line can sometimes go out the door but the service is quick. It's a modern ice cream parlor with clean facilities and a fun atmosphere.

Yelp
Yummy in the rain! Ice cream to cheer up a rainy day. Wildberry lavendar, salted caramel and other delicious flavors.
google avatar

Maggie H.

Yelp
This Jeni's location is a walk in window where they list all their ice cream flavors on a door. There's street parking, I think it's free after 7pm on weekdays. The guy working was super nice and let us try several flavors. I wound up really liking my first flavor the most and stuck with that. I got the iced molasses gingerbread; it had a strong, delicious flavor. It paired well with the milk chocolate too. I loved the ice cream scoop birthday reward.
google avatar

Yelp
I love Jeni's ice cream. This location has a walk up window to order and the flavors are listed at the window to see. One thing I like about Jeni's is a try before you buy. One of the worst things in life is to get a pint of ice cream you hate. They have the BEST waffle cone bones. The hint of honey and salt takes it to the top. I love their goat cheese and cherries ice cream. The gentleman at the window was very pleasant and patient with us which I appreciate. Of course our selection was amazing and we enjoyed eating our ice cream while walking.
google avatar

Sharmeen F.

Yelp
Jeni's ice cream never disappoints. Their flavors are unique and it's so fun to try a new one each time we go. I tried the gooey butter cake flavor this time and omg it was delicious. I wish I had gotten all one flavor instead. I also tried it with the salted caramel flavor which was just ok. The waffle cone is made in house and so delicious. The person serving the ice cream was so kind and went over multiple flavors with us as well as giving us her recommendations. We loved the tips and look forward to coming back!

Yelp
I came to my comfort shop Jeni's after watching Asteroid City at night two weeks ago. I got the Rainbow Fro-yo scoops as well as two pints: a Buttercream Birthday Cake and the Gooey Butter Cake. The fro-yo was refreshing but still a little too citrusy/sour for my taste. I took the birthday cake pint home and promptly finished it within a week and a half, at most. I tried the gooey butter cake but the cream cheese ice cream wasn't my favorite. They had two staff serving customers that night and both were very friendly and patient, despite the large crowd coming from the Plaza's showing of Barbie.

Yelp
I've always been to the other Jeni's locations in Atlanta so I was super surprised by the walk-up window aspect! There's a good amount of parking available and the line here for a chilly, sprinkly Saturday night was minimal compared to other Jeni's locations for sure. Jeni's ALWAYS delivers on flavors and customer service and this location was just as quality and nice as all the others! This scoop location has humongous scoops too!
google avatar

Mackenzie H.

Yelp
So happy to have vegan (dairy free) option! I tried all three available for scooping and they were each unique and delicious. Worth the price I would say. Although I'm not much of a coffee person I was pleasantly surprised by the consistency and taste of the cold brew one. And although I'm not much of a chocolate icecream person the Texas sheet cake was yummy too! Only downside is there is no outdoor or indoor seating.

Yelp
Ice cream good Service good Nice location You can NEVER go wrong Jeni's We make special trips just for Jeni's Oh & it's the Battery
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
This location is really convenient and unique. It is a walk up Jeni's. The service was great and there were a lot of flavors to choose from. Parking is limited.

Yelp
I've never had ice cream that taste this good! The employees were nice and the environment was also.

Yelp
This was our chosen spot to try in Krog market, and I'm so glad we did. They had maybe around 25 flavors, basic, fun, and some a little odd. We waited for about 10 minutes before being able to order, but honestly nothing to complain about. We tried a couple flavors before deciding on boston cream pie. It was rich and tasted exactly like the donut. Great ice cream and the flavors make it all the more fun! The vibe of Krog is lively but casual which we loved, to be expected when entering a food market. Would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here to try the ice cream. Walk up window service only. Ordered a scoop Of salted caramel ice cream and the berry ice cream. Both pretty good. Was it the best ever? Probably not but still was good.

Yelp
I discovered Jeni's about 2 months ago tried it and liked it. 2nd visit = Saturday 7/16/2022. 12 noonish+ few minutes. I chose PONCE location as I sometimes go that way and easily plan my driving and errands. So anyway. It's a walk up location. No seating available. I guess the location decision was based on neighborhood where people could walk back home and obviously to go (elsewhere). Kudos to Yelp Elite and Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream. The young man was helpful, great customer service and with a smile. He offered samples and suggestions. I sampled 2 flavors. Gooey butter cake (came as a highly recommended ATL fave...lol) and Rainbow BFY. I wanted to try Sunshine but they were out. I ordered Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Willdberry Lavender and the infamous Gooey Butter Cake (suggested to be different) as my trio. I ordered honey vanilla bean for my mom. We ate our ice cream in the car. It was too hot at high noon to attempt to drive back to the SWATS with ice cream. 2 successful experiences at Jeni's each at a different location and time of day.

Yelp
Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams has a good thing going with the low overhead space they've chosen at this location. However, the tiny store does not have an inside area for customers at all and I would expect that (at the least) they'd provide a few tables and chairs or even just a few benches for us when we come to get an ice cream. They did put out a couple trash cans- one for biodegradable materials (bowls, wooden spoons, napkins...) and one for non-biodegradable materials (plastic spoons etc). Upon first coming up to the window, we stood for a few minutes in a line on the left (turns out that it was the pick-up line) and didn't realize that the order window was free of patrons. When we did notice, the girl at the counter was helpful, cheerful, and polite. She was also excited to hear we were with the Yelp Elite Squad! Yay! Customer service is great on the employees part! I tested her knowledge and intentionally ignored some print on their menu (it says pints only for the truffle ice cream), but she didn't bat an eye and didn't get annoyed or snarky. She just smiled and said she was sorry that it only comes in pints and that they can't open those and scoop out of them because of store policy on selling them as a separate product. My sister ordered exactly what I got, so I didn't get to try a bunch of flavors- though the girl at the counter did offer any samples we wanted to try. I did sample the brambleberry crisp - essentially blueberry pie ice cream. It was ok. I guess, because of the name, I kind of expected more of a sour berry flavor. The blueberry flavor was subtle. So, for our ice creams, we ordered the trio (starts at $6.95) salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks, salted caramel, and darkest chocolate in a waffle bowl (add $1.50). Out of these flavors, we decided that the darkest chocolate was the best. The salted caramel was good and salty, but if it had actual caramel in it, then it was completely incorporated into the cream of the ice cream. It was somewhat lackluster and I thought it would have been much better with actual swirls of caramel. The salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks was pretty good- even peanut butter flavor throughout, but it also had a strong peanut butter aftertaste. The darkest chocolate was creamy, decadent, and deeply flavored with dark chocolate. It was kind of difficult to tell whether the ice creams were flavored or if they actually had real peanut butter or caramel in them. However, one great thing about their ice cream was that it wasn't ridiculously sugary- obviously it was sugary, but it wasn't sweetened to a point that it was overbearingly so. I liked that aspect of it. The waffle cones stayed crispy the whole time we ate our ice creams too. Some things to not about the location: 1.) From 7am to 7pm its free parking, but before and after, there is a parking meter across the street! 2.) There is absolutely no seating anywhere! And there's no area for people to just hang out either. This is the sidewalk y'all! Keep it moving! 3.) During traffic hours it is loud as heck! They are right by the main road and sometimes trucks go by, others people are honking horns at drivers sitting at the light, and then there's also people driving by with stereos blasting...so, it can be very loud. 4.) This was clearly an ice cream shop meant for people to grab and GO. Keep it moving! The price was a bit steep. Before the Yelp Elite discount, the bill was about $19 for 6 scoops and 2 waffle bowls. The scoops are not huge, so don't go thinking that you're going to get a massive ice cream for $9. All in all, the special thing about this ice cream is that they don't use eggs for richness or creaminess- it's all cream and milk. That's great news for lacto-ovo vegetarians- which is the largest group of vegetarians! I probably won't be back myself, but only because it's both far away AND a bit pricey for ice cream. It's double the price of Bruster's and they only had 1/3 the flavors (see the menu picture). I took 2 stars because (a least at THIS location) they didn't think ahead to provide any seating or at least get themselves situated in a place that has available seating in other places around them. Some advice for the owner(s): invest in either some benches that can be bolted to the sidewalk or some fold-up chairs that can be brought in at the end of the day. In the meantime I would recommend talking to "Southern Belle" about maybe allowing you to send customers looking for a spot to sit their way- if only for a short while.

Yelp
Delicious icecream. I love the unique flavors and the option to test try them out. The line was rather long but that was expected for the area.
google avatar

Kathryn L.

Yelp
Yep, a pretty splendid scoop shop nestled next door to the Majestic Diner. The walk-up window service gives you a peek into the quaint creamery offering their unique twist of flavors, including limited ones & a few GF/non-dairy. The door menu displays the flavors of the day, with a few bottled drinks available as well. My Daughter treated me to the $5 Lemon Bar on a Cake cone, delish. Both the Cake & Sugar cones are Vegan friendly yet contain Soy & Wheat. Next visit I'm trying the Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns. An extra treat for me where I don't have to settle for just Sorbet. If you can't make it to one of their many locations, order online. Their website also provides a detailed ingredient list. Whether you get a cone, bowl, or a pint, Jeni's does not disappoint. Uber welcoming & friendly service.

Yelp
This walk up window Jeni's is my FAVORITE one! The staff here is so personable, and I just love how you can literally pull up curb side, jump out to get your ice cream fix, and jump back in the car to drive off. This is my go-to after seeing a show at The Fabulous Fax Theatre as it is on my way home and provides me with the perfect amount of the darkest dark chocolate with rainbow sprinkles on top.
google avatar

Kat P.

Yelp
Was recommended this place by a friend. Clean surroundings, kind staff. They were so helpful and didn't flinch when I asked to try all 31 flavors like baskin robins. I finally settled on the wild berry lavender and rainbow bfy and it did not disappoint. Je ne regrette rien.
google avatar

Yelp
I came to this jeni's at around 10 PM, and there were about 3 people in line so not a bad rush at all. The cashier was very nice and efficient and took our orders quickly. They had unfortunately run out of waffle cones, so she offered to switch us off to waffle bowls which was fine with everyone. I got my ice cream, the new special edition Ted Lasso inspired Biscuits with Boss flavor which was delicious! Will definitely come back.
google avatar

Brianna L.

Yelp
Jeni's is becoming a staple for me. It's so good! My trio of scoops was delightful with the biggest problem being what ice cream to choose! Javon (if I recall correctly) assisted in my selection and was courteous throughout. Keep your eyes out for the red Jeni's sign, esp if you're not familiar with the area. It's a walk up and order window so no designated seating. There are paid lots in the area and a tiny bit of street parking fyi. Also there are cookies next door.

Yelp
HIGHLY recommended!! The flavors are amazing and distinct. The service is OUTSTANDING!! This place is a tad pricey, but WELL worth it.

Yelp
Great customer service provided by the two gentlemen managing this location. I received several samples and recommendations before deciding on Brambleberry Crisp & Wedding cake. The wedding cake flavor is new. It's a mix of lemon and blueberries with chunks of wedding cake bites. I enjoyed it with my favorite Brambleberry crisp which consists of an Oven-toasted oat streusel and a sweet-tart brambleberry jam layered throughout vanilla ice cream.
google avatar

Saunsarae M.

Yelp
I was back in the neighborhood again and even though it was a little chilly outside I couldn't resist and Jeni's did not disappoint! They have new holiday flavors that are so tasty and fresh. I had a single with a scoop of Mexican Chocolate and Boozy Egg Nog. The chocolate had a hint of heat and the egg nog had a hint of bourbon. As usual the service was great.
google avatar

Yelp
I love Jeni's and this location is super cute. It's just a window next to insomnia cookies (dangerous). I was able to walk up and place my order right away. The girl that took my order was super sweet and answered all my questions. I ordered rocket pop (lemon blueberry froyo), salted pb with chocolate flecks and brown butter almond brittle. The last two I've had before and they are just as delicious as I remembered. The rocket pop is tart and I enjoyed the fruitiness of it. The waffle bowl was crunchy and wonderful vessel to carry the ice cream for every bite. Thank you Jeni's for the wonderful ending for my Friday evening!
google avatar

Mandy K.

Yelp
Go here. Get the Salty Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flakes. Heck, get anything. It's all so so good. PS. Try the Everything Bagel ice cream. It's weird and sounds disgusting, but just do it.
google avatar

Darrin R.

Yelp
After dinner at a nearby restaurant, we visited Jeni's for dessert. We have never been to this location before and think it is fairly new. It's not the typical Jenis layout, this location is just a walkup window. You can't actually go inside. They still had all the usual flavors we'd seen at their other locations. The person taking the orders was very friendly, but there were a few mix ups at the delivery window. My oldest mistakenly took somebody else's order and wifey was skipped over and had to wait longer than others. The staff actually said they had given it to her already, but obviously they did not. Parking was a little challenging. I had a hard time figuring out which lot was allotted for Jeni's. I ended up having to pay for street parking.
google avatar

Grace L.

Yelp
Cute location and situated in an area with a good amount of stuff to do. No indoor seating.
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
I love love love this location because of the walk up window to order, which makes this so unique. They offered samples (I wasn't able to sample a few months ago at the Decatur Square location due to covid) and staff is friendly. I tried their new flavor, Golden Sunset, and their staff explained to me what it tasted like. I got 2 trios to go, which I didn't even know you could do. My order was well packaged and even came with spoons and napkins. There's a closer Jeni's to me but this location may now be my go to!
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
Jeni's converted this old cozy Queen of Cream location into a walk-up window which is ideal for avoiding Omicron. It's inserted between Insomnia Cookies and Majestic Diner. I'm pretty sure this is the most recent Jeni's to open in the Atlanta area. Hard to believe there are 8 now! The scoopers are super nice. I like the trio in a cup (well, more like plate) for sharing. Some recommended flavors include darkest chocolate, coffee with cream & sugar, and goat cheese with red cherries. A trio costs $6.25 and despite the scoops technically being called half, they tend to be on the generous size and come with a waffle wedge. And if you're lucky, you can snag a parking space on the street right in front of Jeni's or in the parking lot for the plaza.
google avatar

Ticia Y.

Yelp
As painful as it was to drop $10 on an ice cream cone, it WAS really good ice cream. The wait to order was long, but the sweet creamy smell beckoned us in like a cartoon aroma finger dragging our noses through the air. Friendly staff too. They gave me their public bathroom's code b/c my littlest needed to pee and it startled us to punch in the code and open the door to a presumably homeless women with a cart changing her clothes. Props to the staff for letting this lady borrow their bathroom, but there should maybe be another locking mechanism so that the person using the code doesn't walk in on somebody.

Yelp

Yelp
This was the first time visiting Jeni's and it did NOT disappoint. The service was friendly, and I could sample as many flavors as I wanted! This is the perfect spot to enjoy dessert with family or friends. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Yelp
All you need in your life is a scoop of Brown Toffee Almond Butter Ice Cream Game Changer
google avatar

Kimiko L.

Yelp
Five stars for the service for sure. I'm not a huge ice cream fan, yet, Jeni's simple coffee ice cream on a cake (plain) come, hit the spot. After a long cross country road trip, this was a great way to CELEBRATE 2026 miles! We'll be back! The long lines are not daunting because the staff is on point!

Yelp
Visited Jenni's for the first time on a Wednesday evening and instantly fell in LOVE! I loved that they had a wide variety of flavors and the menu emphasized which options were gluten free which is AWESOME! This location was just a walk up window but there was parking along the street and a parking lot directly across from the building. Now to the ice cream....I wish I could live inside the store because I could eat it everyday Absolutely delicious, creamy texture and not too sweet! The waffle bowl was make to order and tasted like a COOKIE (can you say yum?!)! Overall, really enjoyed this treat and plan to visit again soon...like tomorrow
google avatar

Adriannea S.

Yelp
Fast and quick for icecream. The Lavendar is my favorite and always tastes great! It is a walk up window and you can park on the side!
google avatar

Yelp
Lovely place to chill with family and friends. Ice creams flavors are to good too not have more than one . Place had a very happy vibe
google avatar

Yelp
Omg when I say the best ice cream of my life besides bruster with the cake. I have been three times in one week with my friend, it's ridiculously addictive. The gooey cake is freaking amazing and pecan whiskey is too. I have bought the scoops and the pints. Please go experience the late night of ice cream action or that day time summer heat...
google avatar

Yelp
I love Jeni's Thanks for the complimentary treat today through the Yelp Elite Week! The customer service was great and the ice cream was cold and EXCELLENT as usual! My favorite flavor is the Lavender Ice Cream!! Stop by and try all of the new flavors!
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Stopped by for a sweet treat and was not disappointed. Jeni's always had a wide variety of flavors and I love the waffle cones. Unfortunately there is no outdoor seating and the location is just a window. The service was quick and friendly!
google avatar

Cindy S.

Yelp
The MOST delicious ice cream I've ever had! I was disappointed at my last visit-no waffle cones! Must try the Gooey Batter.
google avatar

Tommy H.

Yelp
My wife and I love Jeni's. They have so many unique ice cream flavors. The waffle cone are made right in the store and they are truly special.

Madalyn J.

Yelp
all of the flavors are so good!! My fave was the coffee with cream and sugar! Here's what we tried: Milkiest Milk Chocolate Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks Bombastic Sundae Cone Coffee with Cream and Sugar Salty Caramel
