Fans Crash Jeni’s Site in Rush to Buy Dolly Parton’s Ice Cream Flavor - Eater

"A new ice cream flavor made by Dolly Parton and artisan ice cream company Jeni’s is in such high demand, customers trying to get their hands on the limited-run pints crashed the Jeni’s website on the release date yesterday. The flavor, called Strawberry Pretzel Pie and described as 'layers of salty pretzel streusel, subtly sweet and effortlessly tangy cream cheese ice cream, and lipstick red strawberry sauce,' was created in collaboration with the Queen of Country/Moderna vaccine major funder to benefit her children’s book-gifting charity Dolly’s Imagination Library. Anticipation for the ice cream has been building since mid-March, when it was officially announced following some Instagram teasers." - Jenny G. Zhang

Google
Such a cute little ice-cream shop. So many flavours to choose from, each one, unique in its style, its composition. I'd recommend tasting the flavours that you find interesting - this place is going to amaze you with its variety.

Google
I stopped by last night for the first time and it was packed, I definitely see why! Despite the long line, it went by super fast. Employees were attentive and friendly. They offered suggestions as we were curious about new flavors, delicious Dairy free and Gluten free options. The cashier, I didn’t get her name, was so sweet and greeted us as soon as we came in! Pricing was a little on the higher side, but I have no complaints as it’s definitely worth what you pay! We got the birthday cake in a waffle cone, delicious and the cones were fresh!

Google
blackout chocolate is our favorite. Darkest Chocolate and Bramble berry were very good as well. the employees are very sweet.

Rebecca Krawczak

Google
Got a half scoop of milky chocolate and a half scoop of darkest chocolate. They were SO delicious! I want more!! It was served with a piece of waffle cone. When you enter, you are immediately greeted by the smell of fresh waffle cones. The staff were super friendly on a Saturday evening. I didn’t realize this place was so big in the area when I went, but I’m so glad I tried it out. I’d definitely be back when I am in the area!

Taryn Goodman

Google
The ice cream here is on another level. They have such incredible flavors for endless combinations! We went late on a Saturday night and didn't have to wait in line.

Google
Amazing Ice Cream Flavors! I was delightfully surprised by the new flavors I tried — each one was unique and delicious. The sweet and salty waffle cone was the perfect touch! The staff were also fantastic — friendly, helpful, and made the experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

Cindy Nguyen

Google
Very delicious ice cream! The gooey butter cake is a must try ! But the waffle cone is sooooo salty 😣!!

Yelp
Great customer service and ambiance. The smell of the waffle cones and ice cream is amazing.

Yelp
Jeni's on Frankford Avenue just off Girard is another superlative ice cream queue where you can sample their wares to your heart's content, and walk away with any number of full or half scoops of their multitude flavors. It is bright and cheery, and with long lines on any hot day in Philadelphia. We stopped in and after waiting briefly to move up in queue ordered the Burnt Orange, Sour Cherry Pie and Bamblewood Crisp for me and a single of the Sour Cherry Pie for the offspring. While the young'n slurped his on the drive home, I waited until I was relaxing in the easy chair to enjoy my triple creams. They were all exemplary. Loved the actual burnt orange flavor, sour cherries and mixed berry crunch. Each was distinct, moderately sweet and creamy to the maxx. Even the natural colors were a pleasure to behold. This Jeni's is the perfect location for a moveable dessert being so close to the many food opportunities in the immediate neighborhood. Street parking was not an issue on this Sunday late afternoon, and even the stroll from one place to the others was enjoyable even in the super heated early July weather. Lick cool to be cool.

Yelp
Recently had the chance to stop by and try some scoops for a Yelp event. I got a scoop each of Burnt Orange Dreamsicle, Tahini Oat Chocolate Cookie, and the Double Dough in a waffle bowl. Their waffle bowls are on the savory side and I actually like that because they complement the sweetness of the ice cream so well. Burnt Orange Dreamsicle was tangy and creamy, and tasted just like orange wafers. Tahini Oat Chocolate Cookie had a heft to it and the addition of soft cookies made it taste more like a dessert to me. I was pretty sure that the Burnt Orange Dreamsicle would be my favorite but boy was I wrong! It was actually the caramel flavor from the brown sugar of the Double Dough that blew me away. The best thing about Jeni's is their free water dispenser. I have personally not seen it anywhere else. Like how genius is that because I am always super thirsty after having anything sweet. As usual staff was super welcoming and polite.

Yelp
Great customer service. You can try as many samples as you want!! And they have both classic and unique flavors. Scoops are just a bit smaller than I would like them to be

Yelp
When Jeni's came to the neighborhood I heard tons of people raving about it, so I gave it a try. The first time I tried the flavors I was pretty happy about it. I was really intrigued by the butter cake flavor which was pretty good. The moment I walked in, I can smell the waffle cones being made. I also appreciate the clearly labeled allergy details. My little one who is an ice cream fan thoroughly enjoys the flavors she's picked. While Jeni's is not my favorite ice cream parlor, it has a good offering and ambiance.

Yelp
I have lost count of how many times I have been here. My all time fav is Brambleberry crisp and brown butter almond brittle. Love their freshly made waffle cups and cones. It's a cute place and like to sit there and eat. Staff always is helpful and patient while we try new flavors.

Yelp
I've been enjoying Jeni's ice cream for many years, and I quite enjoyed this location as well! The staff is always helpful, giving suggestions if you have questions, and friendly in providing samples to try. This time I had tried the trio with milk chocolate, homemade banana bread, and brown butter almond brittle. I enjoyed the milk richness of the milk chocolate without being overly sweet as sometimes milk chocolate can be, and I particularly enjoyed the brown butter almond brittle with a great base ice cream with fun crunches of the almond brittle. The homemade banana bread was good too, although I personally am just less a fan of soft chewy pieces in ice cream. Overall, I just always enjoy the base texture and flavor of all the ice creams at Jeni's. The ice cream is always rich, creamy, and smooth, so that even simple flavors taste delicious, which is important to me. Of course, they always have many different flavors to try, which is fun, too. Excited to keep enjoying Jeni's here and in other locations!

Yelp
We came to Jeni's after dinner and it was delicious. It was our first time eating Jeni's and we would definitely come back. We sampled a few different flavors, including everything bagel, that really stays in your mouth with a strong garlic and onion flavor. I love everything bagels, however it was a little too overpowering for me. I ended up getting Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Wildberry Lavender. All flavors were delicious and rich but my favorite was the lavender as it has a nice strong lavender flavor. The waffle piece was also nice: crispy and buttery. Some flavors were only selling by the pint. The interior is crispy white and clean. Staff were very kind and patient with us as we asked for samples.

Yelp
I went to Jeni's for the first time when I went to Columbus, OH with my friend to visit her sister at Ohio State University and, since then, I've gone to Jeni's every time I've gone back to visit Columbus. So I was pretty excited when I heard that they were opening two Philly locations. Their frosé sorbet flavor is probably hands down my favorite flavor that they have. I'm always impressed by the assortment of flavors that they carry. Definitely not your typical vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Because I love having a variety, I opted for the trio scoop. The staff member who assisted me and husband was so patient with us as we sampled a few flavors to come to our ultimate decision of what we were going to get. Also, I really liked how after she handed us each sample, she would give a brief explanation of each flavor. I ended up choosing the Honey Vanilla Bean, Salty Caramel, and Wildberry Lavender. The Honey Vanilla Bean and Salty Caramel tasted like your standard vanilla bean and salted caramel so you can probably pass on these flavors unless you're in the mood for something classic. I would recommend the Wildberry Lavender though. The flavor was quite complex: fruity, creamy, and a little florally. Would I go back? : Maybe. I usually don't prefer heavy sweets and most of Jeni's flavors lean on the rich and decadent side. But I do think the few flavors I like are quite unique and I like that they keep things interesting with limited time flavors. Also, because Jeni's is now more accessible, the novelty of going has worn off a bit. Based on my personal flavor preferences, I would more accurately rate Jeni's a 3.5 but I do think they sell a solid scoop of ice cream.
google avatar

Sharika M.

Yelp
Jeni's Brambleberry Crisp is my go-to! The quality of the ice cream is exceptional. I wish there was a one scoop option, as some days I am not hungry enough to finish two scoops. The prices at Jeni's are half of Van Leeuwen's - fyi!!! I find this location's workers a little standoff ish? They seem a bit annoyed and not overly joyful.
google avatar

Shanda S.

Yelp
I used to *love* this Jeni's but they're getting close to losing my business. The last 4 or 5 times I've gone, they've given me the teeniest scoops humanly imaginable. When they put these little baby scoops into a waffle cone it looks laughable and a little sad. I don't know what manager told them to start shortchanging every order, but when I'm paying almost $10 for a standard/small (two scoops), I want to feel like I've gotten a full portion. Go back to real scoops, Jeni's.

Yelp
Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is definitely delicious. It's a premium type of bougie ice cream. Once you walk in...an instant smile from the smell of the buttercrisp waffles and the cheerful employees greeting you! Very happy about Jeni's being in Fishtown, and when I'm on the block -- I like to stop by to grab a to-go pint. On my most recent visit, I ordered a scoop of my favorite flavor, gooey butter cake (I love the cake chunks in it), with the limited-flavor butterscotch popcorn (you can taste both the popcorn and there are pieces of butterscotch in there too). Both flavors were good. The scoops are not big at all. While I ate inside, it appeared to be clean and comfortable. Jeni's also has plastic cups for piped water that you can pour yourself.

Yelp
Can't believe it's taken me so long to get here. Just as nice as the location I visited in Atlanta. Wide variety of flavors, friendly staff and cute clean atmosphere. I got the maple soaked pancakes in a waffle cone. Delicious mapley flavor and the waffle cone was fresh and crunchy.
google avatar

Julie K.

Yelp
They are generous with their samples so take advantage of that before committing to an ice cream. I made the mistake to not taste test a new seasonal flavor and hated my 2 scoop purchase of it lol. Nice and clean with friendly staff.

Yelp
Jeni's is hands down one of the best ice cream establishments in current times. It's not pretentious when it comes to flavors and not too sweet but best of all there's some whimsy. I will say the fact that you have a brick and mortar of Jeni's in Philly is hugeeee brownie points and reason to visit! I was first introduced to Jeni's when I would visit Austin. It had been too long since I've had a lick. I was torn by all the flavors. I wanted them all. It was hard decisions. I also have tasting anxiety. I don't want to be the person that is just getting sample after sample. I thought I might go the pumpkin route but then Again maybe watermelon taffy, that also sounded good. And in the end, it was the "Wildberry Lavender" I had to try. It was a beautiful balance of sweet and floral however stayed far away from soap or perfume like. I had to have it. "Wedding Cake" is a limited flavor, it's vanilla cake, lemon, blackberry and buttercream icing! I would easily pick this over an actual wedding cake on my big day! They nailed it and made it even better. I'm drooling just thinking about it. The service here is also stellar! The young lady served me three samples on cute little silver spoons. It was a most enjoyable afternoon treat. Looking forward to many, many, many more visits.

Yelp
I do crave for their Wildberry Lavender once in a while and will always come back for that. Sweet and sour with a hint of lavender, well balanced! My husband and I are both a fan of it. The scoop is quite small in my opinion, flavor is there tho. I got the Darkest Chocolate and husband got the Lemon Bar.

Yelp
Delicious flavors at this ice cream establishment to enjoy before a show at the Filmore. I would aim for some of the flavors that you can't find elsewhere, park yourself on the stools and watch people walk by enjoying a night on the town or walking their dog. The flight was a nice way to sample different flavors and with my group of four we were all able to get different ones and sample pretty much the whole menu. I imagine that it gets busier on the weekends and hot days so plan ahead!

Yelp
Came in on a weekday evening for some dessert. I came to this location when it was brand new, and I was excited to bring some friends who were in town. We came in on a Tuesday night, and there was a pretty short line. The lines in the store are fairly efficient; there are two arrays of the same ice cream flavor selection next to each other. This allows double the people to be served at once by the employees behind the counter. The employees were friendly and helpful. They were very easy-going and generous when allowing us to sample flavors. The menu is pretty simple; it allows a choice of a number of scoops either in a bowl or a cone. I opted for the regular 2-flavor size in a cup. I went for the Gooey Butter Cake flavor as well as the non-dairy Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns flavor. The service was very quick from getting my actual ice cream to getting to the payment line quickly. Both flavors were delicious, the Gooey Butter Cake being a long-time favorite of mine from their pints. We ended up sitting on a larger table they had in the middle of the shop. They also had some smaller seating sections on the sides. I found it very nice as a customer that they also have a self-serve water station with disposable cups. This cuts down a lot on having excessively long lines with customers just asking for water. Overall, I really have nothing bad to say about this Jeni's location. Service, quality, and setting are all awesome. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for a sweet treat in Philly.

Yelp
You can smell the freshly made waffle cones from outside the store! This ice cream is great, as they offer samples too with their unique flavors they offer. Can't go wrong with the Brambleberry Crisp They also offer pints to take home to eat later. They also offer dairy-free/vegan options too.

Yelp
Thank you for the ice cream. The staff was very helpful. Everyone was waiting in the line patiently. This was our first time at this location. Seating area

Yelp
My, oh my. For a while, I thought this place was only in Chicago. I've been here a couple of times and never really looked into other locations. Thankfully, my stupidity was mitigated by Jeni's explosive expansion into the Philadelphia region with two locations - Fishtown and Center City. I decided to make the trip with some friends from across town to get to Fishtown and try the ice cream I so longed for. Filled with unique flavors, each type had the rich, deliciousness all dairy ice cream SHOULD have. For every minute that passed, my mouth was watering at the idea of being in one of the greatest places to exist on this earth. When I got there, it was the same, simple design that greets you with a warm feeling of "hey, you're home now. Jeni's is here for you". I quickly got my favorites - Gooey Butter cake, Blueberry Crisp, and Honey Vanilla bean. When put together, they make an ultimate combo that slaps ur tastebuds yelling "what have you been doing eating those nasty tubs of ice cream from Acme?" As soon as I sat down with the waffle pieces and the scoops of ice cream, I dived into the winter wonderland. Even the thought of the taste salivates my mind, and this ice cream is hard to beat in its consistency anywhere else. But within minutes, the three scoops were gone. Then I remembered, this place has kinda mid portions for the price - no wonder I bought those tubs of Ben and Jerrys. Despite the portions, this magical place gives you a surreal experience of ice cream flavors that will hopefully finish off the hefty meal you grab or satisfy that sweet tooth that came in with.

Yelp
Service: 10/10 Vibe: 8/10 (smells so good in there) Strawberry cream: 8/10 Brown butter almond brittle: 7/10 Total: 8.25/10 (4.125/5)

Yelp
Love the flavors here! Especially the cake flavors. It always smells delicious even just walking by the store. I like that they let you sample the ice cream and don't get annoyed if you sample more than one. You get choice of cup, cone or waffle cone with the waffle cone costing a bit more. For the scoops, you're able to choose two flavors for 1 scoop which is nice.

Yelp
I took advantage of the first day of spring, where Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams gave out free ice cream! Right after a Pilates class i thought I'd treat myself, and it was totally worth it. I heard people commenting on the line as they walked by - if you're reading this, it went super quick! While in line I picked up a few gift items, their specialty ice cream spoons which match the angle of a bowl (very cool) and an ice cream scooper. Their flavors were diverse, it was hard to choose just one so I picked three - The darkest chocolate, Salty Caramel and Gooey Butter Cake. All went well together atop of a freshly made waffle bowl. I walked all the way home eating it, happy as can be. The interior decor was cool and fresh, with fun colors and a giant chalkboard, perfect for an ice cream night with the fam, rain or shine. The staff was friendly and hard at work, taking their periodic glimpse up out of the freezer to grab the next order, and down the line it went. Highly recommend, I look forward to coming back to Jeni's for more ice cream!

Yelp
Visited Jeni's for the first time today and I must say it smells amazing in there! If you're on a diet it will fall by the wayside because the sweet smell of waffle cones will convince you to find something on their menu. The place is bright and cheery and you can try any flavor until you find something that your palate desires. I tried the wedding cake and it was a mixture of sweet and tart. The berries in the ice cream are paired nicely with the lemon flavor. Truly a great experience as a first timer.

Yelp
We felt like it was kind of strange for Jeni's to open shop in an area with a few established ice cream spots, and honestly hadn't loved their pints in the past, BUT this shop is pretty solid! The ice cream flavors are hit or miss for me, but when you get a hit, it REALLY hits! Definitely taste the flavors before committing, but they're always friendly about letting you try first. Even though the flavors are subjective, I'll give them credit for a consistent texture. The shop is bright and clean, the staff is always friendly, and they have enough flavors to appeal to everyone. Even when I don't really want an ice cream, if I catch a whiff of the waffle cones as we're walking by,, there's always a chance that I'll go in for some brambleberry crisp anyway! Now, would I wait in some of the long lines I've seen for a few scoops of Jeni's? Not a chance, but if you manage to walk by when the lines are short or nonexistent, definitely check it out!

Yelp
Jeni's is one of our favorite spots to visit for ice cream in the city. Unique flavors that are really delicious. I am personally partial to their staple the Brambleberry crisp. The shop in Fishtown is bright, clean, and smells amazing because of their waffle cones/bowls. Pricey for ice cream but worth it for the occasional splurge.
google avatar

Maria C.

Yelp
Ice cream was fine. Charged full price for kiddie sized servings. (One scoop instead of two). Most miserable employee I've ever experienced. Came with my 3 year old. Will never come back. Don't waste your money, and trust me, the cost is a huge waste. The scoop of ice cream was a 1.5" ball that cost 6.50. I wish I had taken a photo. Because these photos are not what we got. At all. Horrible.

Yelp
1st world problem alert : I have been coming here since it opened . Usually I have too much ice cream . The ice cream itself is good (not great ) I've never remembered them giving me too Little serving . Young Woman at the counter was super sweet . I get a double scoop in a waffle cone and I ask her if the scoops are usually that small because I honestly think they look paltry in that big waffle cone and I'm lookin to have some ice cream today , and she says "OUR scoops ....are HALF scoops ?" I have never heard of a more ridiculous concept . I actually ended up just paying for a 3rd scoop (same flavor ) and tipping another $3 on top of that . It's not about the money . If you are paying $8 for ice cream , a the cone shoujd be a decent size . Period . I'm 5'2 and 120 pounds . I don't eat a ton , but this was honestly ridiculous . The triple scoop , barely even when over the cone . I wish I had taken a picture . I think what's happening is their scoops are just getting stingier the longer they stay in business. Very short sighted business model if that's the case . Ice cream quality itself is delicious! Oh well , 1st world problem

Yelp
favorite ice cream spot in fishtown. highly recommend sampling the gooey butter cake ice cream!

Yelp
One would think that opening up an ice cream shop right before the start of the winter season would be a bad decision, but whoever thought to bring a Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream location to Philly should not be second guessed. The creamy, natural textures and full, accurate flavors of the ice cream here are some of the best I've had. I'm impressed by how many flavors that they offer in this small shop, and I think anyone who came in here would find at least one flavor that peaked their interest. I ended up getting the Brambleberry Crisp, Cold Brew with Coconut Cream, and Cognac and Gingerbread in a Trio. All had distinctive and quality flavors. The only knock I have on the place is the quantity of ice cream. I felt like the scoops could have been a bit more generous compared to the cost (I was just at the Van Leeuwen's that just opened in Philly, and for a similar price I got at least double the amount). Despite that, I would still keep coming back to try the other flavors and their seasonal varieties, and I'm scared for my health that this shop is so close to home.

Yelp
Man oh man, I have been waiting for a Jeni's to open up in the area since I first discovered them years ago while I was living in Atlanta. To say I was ecstatic that this location was opening just down the street from me would be an understatement! The best 2pm lunch a girl could have asked for! The storefront is super easy to find right on Frankford Ave. The smell of fresh waffle cones wafts into the street and the store is super brightly lit. The environment inside is clean and comfortable with 3 large coolers full of flavors and a huge, easy to read menu posted up on the back wall. I tried a few samples and decided to go with the dairy-free Texas Sheet Cake and Brambleberry Crisp. I am also a huge fan of Brown Butter Almond Brittle and Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks. You really can't go wrong with Jeni's and I love their mix of both dairy and non-dairy flavors alike. The waffle cones and bowls are stupid good (a little salty and a little sweet, always freshly made) and they also have pints to go. Definitely something for everyone here and I can't wait to come here all the time.
google avatar

Cara S.

Yelp
My 3rd time here and I love it! I'm not going to lie though the prices are insane. For the single in a dish (no cone) x's 2 because I had to buy my BFF one it was over 15.00 bucks. Once in awhile for a special treat it's worth it but maybe a few specials or coupons are in order.
google avatar

Judy L.

Yelp
Pretty good ice cream...but certainly not the best in Philadelphia. I really enjoyed the gooey butter cake ice cream. The pistachio was ok, a bit more savory for my taste. The pistachio ice cream at Franklin Fountain is really good! Brand new store in Fishtown with great service!

Yelp
I had heard of Jeni's ice cream before because I have seen it sold in stores. So I was really excited to try the scoop shop in the neighborhood once it opened. The shop is so cute!! I went for their opening party where they gave the neighborhood free ice cream. See my attached picture. I can't really comment on the price but the taste was amazing. My favorite of the flavors I tried was Texas Sheet Cake which is actually non dairy! It was very rich chocolate with chunks of cake. It was delicious. The waffle bowl was also really good. I saw them making them fresh from batter right in the shop. Needless to say, the shop smelled incredibly good. I would definitely stop by to get some of the Texas sheet cake flavor again.

Yelp
What a great new craft ice cream addition to the city! Yes, they are a bit pricey, but you are paying for quality and care. Coffee cream and sugar was my favorite flavor here. Perfectly creamy with a coffee kick.
google avatar

Deirdre C.

Yelp
I had never heard of Jeni's before they opened in Fishtown. What a wonderful addition to the area! The flavors are great and they sell pints too! You can try any flavors you'd like before you decide which you would like. I got a trio in a waffle bowl and it was wonderful! Looking forward to stopping in next time I'm in fishtown!

Yelp
The hype is well worth it! As soon as you walk in you smell the waffles they make in the store. The employees are very friendly and helpful when it comes to samples/trying new flavors. The gooey butter cake is by far the best flavor I have tried!!

Yelp
If you love ice cream, visit Jeni's! If you're on the fence about ice cream, visit Jeni's! You will want to choose every single flavor! I had the gooey butter cake and it was a legit mouth-gasam! It did not disappoint. Don't even get me started on their fresh buttercrisp waffle cones. Once you taste these waffle cones, you will turn up your nose to all others. Also, cheers to their customer service. Very friendly individuals who didn't get annoyed when I asked for more samples. Do yourself a favor, don't worry about that diet you're on and get your butt to Jeni's.

Yelp
Waddled (8mo pregnant) 10 blocks to get ice cream. This was the day of the Fishtown Fall Fest but 2 hours after it ended. I went in to look at flavors while my partner wait d outside with the dog. I asked for a sample of the wedding cake flavor and was told that they were not giving samples. The woman behind the counter referred to the handwritten sign that stated due to long lines, they would not be giving samples. I remarked that there was no one else in line behind me and 3 people working behind the counter. She said they were out of tasting spoons and still wouldn't let me taste the flavor. My partner and I swapped dog watching duties. He got a small bowl and said it was overpriced. I got fro yo from Igloo up the street. First and last time at this scoop shop which is a bummer because I like your pints.

Yelp
I'm obsessed! The aroma when you walk into the door! The flavors! The creaminess! The waffle bowls! I'd be here everyday if my metabolism was set up to handle it

Yelp
I love going to Jeni's to try their new flavors. There is always a wide selection to choose from along with must-have staples like Darkest Chocolate and Honey Vanilla Bean (highly recommend these for new-comers)!

Yelp
Frankford avenue is quickly becoming the ice cream haven of the neighborhood with all of these ice cream shops moving that direction. Jeni's is a great welcome as I've heard so much about it from friends to other states. What I immediately liked about Jenny's is all of the interesting flavors that didn't try too hard. From the lavender raspberry And down to the gingerbread cognac flavor, I knew we would be in for a good time! I ordered the kayak gingerbread inside of a waffle bowl and the $6 price point for two scoops was pretty standard compared to the neighborhood prices. The ice cream itself was beautiful to look at, And it tasted just as good. The cognac flavor didn't overpower the gingerbread and the little gingerbread bits inside of the ice cream with a nice touch. The line was long but it did not take much time at all to be served. I can definitely see myself stopping here after dinner the next time I am on the corridor.

Yelp
People who go out their way to complain about the price but still pays for it. Yes it's pricey for what it is, but I really liked my brambleberry. Yes the portion isn't great, I'm not going to compare it to anything else. Just for what it is, the texture is good, creamy and a good consistency. If you don't like the price/portion why are you even buying it? You went into this seeing and knowing this. You can even sample, and yet you'll go out your way to write a bad review. Stfu and get your head out your ass. I went into this trying one flavor and I enjoyed it. Customer service was fine, I don't expect anyone to kiss my ass. Just help me find what i need and be cool. If you're going to complain about the portion and price. Just don't go simple as that. If you're open to trying it and taking it for what it is. I think most people will enjoy it. Will i go out my way for this, nah but it's a good product.

Yelp
I don't know what the big deal is about this brand. Maybe you have to 'be there' as an Elite Yelper in the newest store to get the full experience. I dunno, but somehow I doubt it. Nothing wrong with this location just as there's nothing inherently WRONG with this ice cream, but none of the flavors I tried made me want to keep buying it. The first one I ever tried was the Brambleberry Crisp. Did not even finish the pint. The 'crisp' part was annoying to eat, very hard in comparison to the other ingredients and I did not find the fruit swirl to be especially tasty. The Darkest Chocolate, which I bought at Whole Foods, was fine but I will continue buying Haagen Dazs chocolate over this. I think it tastes better. Pistachio Macaron, also purchased at Whole Foods, was too sweet and there was a dearth of pistachios. Again, I'll take Haagen Daz Pistachio over this, as it is absolutely loaded with large pistachio pieces, the flavor base is mild and it doesn't put me into a sugar coma. Talenti Pistachio gelato is a second runner up to Haagen Daz's for a full nut experience. Sure, it's nice that Jeni Bauer has been around since the late 1990, started out small and is now nationwide. Kudos to an enterprising, hard working woman. Even though I don't eat ice cream very often, $12 a pint is an extravagance for me, especially as none of the flavors appeal in the least. Taste is highly subjective and clearly Ms. Bauer has an enormous fan base that doesn't include me.

Yelp
Do you like small scoops* And paying a ton of cash? Come here and get poor *ridiculous sizes. Think child size for $6 . Non dairy offerings sound good but are gritty. Not good. Never again

Yelp
Adorable ice cream shop with great workers. Amazing flavors, absolutely love the lavender wild berry and cold brew and cream.

Yelp
I saw this place open a few weeks ago and decided to give it a shot. The assortment of flavors was adequate and the staff was friendly. However, I don't understand why this place has good reviews. The ice cream is extremely average. There was nothing astounding about the taste or flavors. And, they were super light on the quantity they gave you. For $8 (2 scoops and a waffle bowl), I expected the ice cream to at least to the top of the bowl (keep in mind it is small). Definitely not the case. For anyone looking to get ice cream in this area. You should definitely check out the gelato place across the street. Or you should just walk a few blocks down and go to Van Leeuwens. Make the journey elsewhere I promise you.
