LA’s First-Ever Hello Kitty Cafe Is Opening at Universal CityWalk | Eater LA

"I read that Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is teaming up with Ben Hundreds on a new Persian-inspired flavor called Bastani Sonnati, featuring saffron, rose water, and pistachios, and that the collaboration includes a limited-edition T-shirt riffing on The Hundreds’ “Adam Bomb” design, available starting August 8." - Cathy Chaplin

Google
So many delicious ice cream options. They even have a couple vegan options. I got two half scoops of the gooey butter cake. It was fantastic but very expensive for the amount of ice cream that you actually get. They are open until midnight on the weekends which was so fun after a night out or great for a date. We went around 11:30 and there were only a few other people in there. The service was great, the nice worker suggested lots of flavors and gave samples for all of them! I would definitely return if I am in the area.

Every time I walk into the shop, I’m hugged by the aroma of a freshly pressed waffle cone. I don’t know how Jeni does it but OMG. Best ice cream I’ve ever had. Not every flavor is my favorite, but they are all crafted with love, decadence and magic. A delight in every bite. They even use real spoons for samples. CLASSY. The quality of ice cream is only matched by the quality of service. Workers are always pleasant, helpful and friendly. But are we surprised? When you work in the Disney Land of ice cream shops? My only regret in life is that I don’t take pictures of my ice cream before I eat it. Don’t live with regrets. Get the ice cream. Take the picture. Enjoy Jeni’s!

I had a number of people.rave about the quality of the ice cream from Jeni's, but had yet to try it because the couple of times I had attempted prior were met with either a very long line or difficulty in finding a parking spot in the crowded and chaotic Bakery Square area. But my wife and I finally got a shot at it (and a close parking space at that) on a Saturday evening- and the accolades were proven quite accurate. I got the Gooey Butter Cake ice cream, which was ridiculously buttery and rich and delicious. My wife, who is lactose intolerant, opted for the dairy free Texas Sheet Cake ice cream, and was impressed with the rich depth of dark chocolate flavor. The prices are fair for "boutique" ice cream, and the ability to get a kids size (still a good bit of ice cream and a cute waffle cone chip to dip) was appreciated. Add in nice service and a bright and colorful decor, and it's easy to see why this place is so often busy.

Google
Solid ice cream, but a little pricy for small portions. Loved the different flavors, esp the seasonal limited ones like Bramberry and Caramel Apple. I also like that they use actual spoons to give samples, and the staff was super friendly! The portions though are pretty small, giving half scoops for full prices, liked the little piece of waffle cone that comes with the cup, but still not really worth it in my opinion.

It’s all in the details! It was our first time at a Jeni’s physical store. We are long time fans of the brand sold in stores. The experience visiting Jeni’s was fantastic! Brooke and Desiree were a joy to work with. Truly a pleasure. They were helpful, friendly, and very personable. I am extremely impressed with the brand, the store, and the prime example of what customer service should be. Thank you ladies, and Jeni! We will be back!

Google
Food (5/5): this was our first time eating here. We loved so many of the flavors we tried! And we ordered one scoop each and loved that they put a waffle triangle in the dish! Service (5/5): the workers were fantastic in letting us try several flavors since we had never ate there before. They were very patient and helpful! Atmosphere (5/5): such a clean, bright and contemporary space! Very spacious and fun!

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams has locations in several states, and this new location is the only one in the Pittsburgh area. Jeni’s makes ice creams from unique ingredients such as cayenne pepper, whiskey, popcorn, lavender, etcetera. Recently, I ate the Bramble Berry Crisp and the Mexican Hot Chocolate ice creams, and my husband ate the Milkiest Chocolate and the Brown Butter Almond Brittle ice creams. My flavors were unique, and my husband’s flavors were typical, but all flavors tasted very good. Two scoops of ice cream cost about $6. You can see other prices in one of my attached photos. The employee did a great job with scooping our ice creams, processing our payment, and wishing us a great day. Some booths, tables, and chairs were available to sit at. If you are unable to visit this location, you can still purchase Jeni’s ice creams through their website and some grocery stores.

Google
Beautiful eatery! Unlimited ice cream samples! Even the bathroom soap smelled delicious! The staff were so friendly and happy to inform us of the components of all the ice cream flavours. My friends and I could not stop talking about how delicious the waffle cones were! Definitely try the gooey butter cake and brambleberry crisp flavours. I would love a Jeni’s ice cream shop here in Canada :)

Yelp
Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is a chain restaurant that serves ice creams in unique flavors (e.g., Powdered Jelly Donut and Maple-soaked Pancakes) and more-usual flavors (e.g., Green Mint Chip and Cookies in Cream). Some flavors are dairy-free or gluten-free. The ice creams are available in different sizes and can be put inside bowls or cones. Customers may also purchase pints to take home. In the past few years, I have visited this Jeni's many times. The employees always make pleasant conversation, happily offer me free samples, and correctly assemble my ice creams. I rate the Bramble Berry Crisp as 5 stars, the Mexican Hot Chocolate as 4.5 stars, the Milkiest Chocolate as 4.5 stars, the Brown Butter Almond Brittle as 4.5 stars, the Sweet Cream Biscuits & Peach Jam as 5 stars, the Salted Peanut Butter as 5 stars, the Sparkling Cherry Pie as 4.5 stars, the Pistachio Macaron as 4.5 stars, the Dulce de Leche as 4.5 stars, the Cranberry Panettone with Chocolate Sprinkles as 5 stars, the Caramel-apple Crumble as 4.5 stars, the White-chocolate Peppermint as 4 stars, and the Watermelon Taffy as 4 stars.

Yelp
I stopped by on Sunday night and there was a long line but it moved quickly. There's always fun new flavors to try and I went with the new popcorn brittle along with an old favorite, the brown butter almond brittle. The staff members were super nice, encouraging patrons to sample multiple flavors. The ice cream itself is very creamy and not icy like some other brands can be. The inside is smaller but bright with a lot of natural lighting.

Yelp
Took my order to-go and enjoyed it on Mt. Washington. Peanut butter with chocolate flicks and darkest chocolate combo. Large portion size for a small and friendly service. Can't wait for my next jenis run!

Yelp
Really great ice cream! Pricey, but good. I liked their pints on GoPuff and a nearby local ice cream shop was closed, so we went here instead The flavor selection is good, tons of seating outside, and very good quality ice cream. Just wish it wasnt $6.50 for a small

Yelp
I love how consistent Jeni's is across locations. In our most recent visit, we got a double scoop Standard bowl of brambleberry crisp and wildberry lavender. I've gotten the former a few times before and it always hits. I'm not big on lavender but this combo really masked that floral scent that drives me away from lavender usually.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Absolutely love their gooey butter cake ice cream. They have dairy free options too which my one lactose intolerant friend loves. Their staff is always friendly and lets you try as many as you want!
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
So yummy! the flavor selection here is absolutely unmatched. The staff is so so kind and always lets you sample as many as you want to be sure you pick what you truly want. The Brambleberry Crisp is my favorite - despite my normal leanings in all dessert aspects towards chocolate. The homemade waffle bowls/cones take it to the next level. The prices can be a little steep, so definitely join the rewards to save a bit here and there. Should definitely try in whatever city you find one next.

Yelp
They have great dessert ice cream frosties good staff so friendly helpful their honest hard workers great for community's

Yelp
Something stopped us at the door. It was late but Jeni's was still open. We had a feast of ice cream. I had strawberry and it was delicious. I had a kid's order but everyone else in our group had the trio cup. Stopping here was a great end to a fun night. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are non-dairy options. The shop was hopping at 11pm with regulars and new customers alike. The store was clean. Bathrooms were clean. Parking would be on the street. Handicap accessible.

Yelp
First time visiting bakery Square and walked past here.. as someone who has a sweet tooth I just knew I had to stop and I'm glad that I did. It is a small ice cream shop that was very clean inside with unique flavors of ice cream. My kids and I enjoyed the ice cream a lot, the service was great as well. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Brenda Y.

Yelp
I like the outdoor and indoor seating options, the decor is cute and aesthetic. You are able to try samples from a variety of different flavors. I enjoyed the two flavors that I got but on the pricier side for the amount of ice cream that you get.
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Always one of my favorite ice cream places in the US. Wide and delicious range of flavors, staff is always great and enthusiastic about samples. Prices are fair for the quality, usually will run you just under 10. Best year-long flavors are brown butter brittle and ooey gooey butter cake. Today, got the sweet potato praline and 7 layer cake which were both phenomenal. They really show out for the holiday flavors. Open late and good seats inside. Good talks with some gooder friends. They came to church with me before and we walked all the way here just talking which was really nice. I like walks.

Yelp
Jeni's is so good! I tried their PB&J sundae recently and I loved the ice cream (salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks) and the strawberry jam sauce. I didn't care for the whipped cream; it was mostly just heavy whipping cream that wasn't the right texture. But otherwise the ice cream was so good and the presentation was great.
google avatar

Keirstin C.

Yelp
I love it here! The inside is so cute and the employees are always friendly and quick. I like coming every once in a while to try out the new flavors. I went yesterday to get the new double dough, I didn't love it nor did I hate it but I still got a scoop of it and the more I ate the more I liked it. I also got their birthday cake which usually is a no for me at most places, it's really sweet but not full of globs of blue icing like usual. But the best of all is their fresh made waffle cones and pieces. I usually buy a seperate container to eat with my ice cream because the little bit that comes with it isn't enough.

Yelp
We love Jeni's! As native Ohioans, we had to try the Jeni's in town. Per usual, it was delicious and they had fun new flavors we hadn't tried before. I loved that this location actually had seating and a bunch of it! Service was friendly and fast. We will be back to try more flavors but today we tried: *hot toddy - a sherbet with flavors to taste like the drink! *fluffer butter - MY FAVORITE! Think childhood peanut butter and marshmallow fluff. Not too overpowering. Delicious *banana French toast - after trying a sample I thought I liked this but after eating more of it, it wasn't my favorite Jeni's flavor

Yelp
I went to Jeni's in Pittsburgh for the first time and I was immensely impressed with the dexterity, patience and quickness of Dasia (Southside Works). We (20), inundated her with our presence; no notice or fore warning; battle tested, women veterans seeking cold refreshment. She was amazing to watch. We saw, we ate, we conquered. Jeni's ice cream was delicious. I had the bramble berry.
google avatar

Michelle Z.

Yelp
Wanted to go here forever since they don't have a Jeni's where I grew up. It's such a cute ice cream place in Bakery Square! Interior is really bright and clean, cutely decorated, and there are so many fun flavors to choose from. Love the whole pastel aesthetic -- sitting inside such a nice environment makes the ice cream taste so much better! I got the brambleberry berry crisp in a waffle cone. Their cones are sooo good and they're really generous with the scoop sizes! This was the perfect treat to brighten up a rainy summer day. The workers here are really friendly as well :)
google avatar

Turfman D.

Yelp
Great ice cream. Lots of special flavors and they do half scoops so you can try multiple flavors. We went there prob 4 times in the last week. It's a must visit and they are open late.
google avatar

Selina C.

Yelp
Overall, their ice cream is decent but it's expensive. I ordered a trio with rainbow buttermilk frozen yogurt, wildberry lavender, and strawberry buttermilk in a buttercrisp waffle bowl. The scoops were all the size of ping pong balls, and it amounted to about $10. Parking in Bakery Square can get tough during busy hours. There's seating both inside the shop and in an adjacent dining area. I'm glad that I tried it but there's better and cheaper ice cream options in PGH
google avatar

Vickey K.

Yelp
Love their new flavor- lemon and blueberry. It is very tart, but I loved it cause I love tart and sour things. The staff are really nice and very frivolous with their samples- def ask to try any flavor you are curious about! Located in Bakery Square and always has parking, if you can't find a parking spot near the ice cream place, there is two different parking lots with tons spaces. Two hour free on weekdays and three hours on weekends. Also has nice seating area outside and it's very relaxing to sear and enjoy your delicious ice cream!
google avatar

Alan W.

Yelp
I was in the area and since the Yelp elite event I could not stop thinking of Jeni's ice cream. The stuff are super friendly and very helpful and nice. I ordered a bowl 3 flavors with dark chocolate peanut butter and coffee ice creams. The ice cream is delicious and one of the best in the pittsburgh area. The store has plenty of seating and there is plenty of parking. I will defiantly be back again and again. If you are looking for some of the best ice cream in pittsburgh then Jeni's is a must to go to.
google avatar

Marla C.

Yelp
The smell of the waffle cones pulled me inside. I sampled a couple of flavors and ended up getting the brambleberry one. It was delicious. The staff was so nice.
google avatar

Paul P.

Yelp
Very nice place, with a great multitude of flavors to choose from. Stopped in with my son and we both got some yummy stuff. I'm a simple guy, so it was some vanilla bean and chocolate in a cup. My son got some caramel swirly looking stuff on a waffle cone. We enjoyed our treats, served by some very pleasant folks, in the large lobby outside the shop. Great spot, terrific ice cream! Try it!
google avatar

Karla D.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of Jeni's and I'm so glad we actually have a location now. Super clean store. Friendly service. Amazing and delish flavors. My current favorite is Mexican Hot Chocolate Ice Cream with cayenne pepper and cinnamon.
google avatar

Yelp
We visited Jeni's in Nashville awhile ago and were thrilled to find out there was a location opening close(ish) to us. They have so many flavors to choose from. I'm a chocolate lover and the Blackout Chocolate Cake was deeeee-licious! My husband enjoyed the Gooey Butter Cake flavor. I can't wait to come back and try all the different flavors. They have descriptions on each as well as allergens which is important to me as I can't have tree nuts. Super cute atmosphere and a great location. The parking is a little crazy but the parking garage is free on Sundays (up to 3 hours) so that was helpful.
google avatar

Francesca F.

Yelp
There's a new Jeni on the block! Jenis ice creams has opened its first Pittsburgh location in Bakery Square and it is serving up the goods. I'm no stranger to Jeni's as I have visited locations in Charlotte NC and Chicago before! My top 3 fave flavors are: 1. Brambleberry Crisp 2. Gooey Butter Cake 3. Wildberry Lavender Parking is free for 2 hours in the south garage on weekdays and free for 3 hours on weekends. The line will be LONG. So be prepared to wait as this is a brand new business in Pittsburgh. After you get your ice cream there is indoor communal seating in the bakery square room between Alta Via Pizza and Galley Bakery Square and Jeni's.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
We went down to Bakery Square and steered right into Jeni's. We are glad we did. First the service was great and he encouraged us to try as many as we wanted. We ended up with a triple scoop waffle cone with Chocolate Cake, really chocolaty and gooey, Butter Cake another keeper and Cranberry Crumble really tart so be warned. We loved them so much we bought some to take home for those that did not join us on our Saturday stroll. Definitely going back.

Yelp
My new favorite ice cream place here in Pittsburgh! The interior is adorable, so there's plenty to look at while standing in line. Not that THAT is much to worry about - they move that line right along! The staff were very kind and knowledgeable. The employee taking my order had no problem remembering my order, even though I rattled it off to him pretty quickly. He scooped up just the right amount of each flavor and arranged it all neatly for me. Awesome service! And then there was the ice cream. Oh. My. Gosh. Hands down, best ice cream I've had in Pittsburgh. I had scoops of the Blackout Chocolate Cake, Gooey Butter Cake, and Brambleberry Crisp with a waffle cone. I couldn't help but say "Wow!" with every bite. Each flavor was rich without being too sweet or overpowering. The ice cream was plenty creamy, and the waffle cone was surprisingly delicate and flavorful. Even though it filled me up, I still wanted more! I'm definitely coming back to satisfy my ice cream cravings! Soooo so good!!
google avatar

Eryn P.

Yelp
How amazing. I've seen Jeni's around forever and have always wanted to try. I'm so glad I waited for this. I got to try a few flavors and the amazing humans behind the counter were so helpful and nice! I wound up with a chocolate scoop, a scoop of bramble berry because the internet said I had to, and tried their new/limited goat cheese cherry. omg. I'm so glad I saved this trip till after a really bad day at work because it turned everything around for me! I can't wait to go back. Happy Eating!

Yelp
The ice cream is good. Most flavors are great, the waffle cones are good. They have a wide variety

Yelp
I am a die-hard Jeni's fan. I will stand on a soap box and tell anyone who will listen that Jeni's is the best ice cream in the world, and I mean that. I lived in Columbus (where Jeni's originated and is abundant) so when I am somewhere with a scoop shop, I will go out of my way to go there. Like in all scoop shops, the best part is the smell of the shop - absolutely mouthwatering. The staff is extremely friendly and you can try samples. There is plenty of seating in this scoop shop. They also have gender neutral restrooms which is fantastic. Seriously, if you have never had Jeni's, stop what you are doing and go immediately.

Yelp
I attended a collaboration event between Bakery Square and The Beauty Boost Pittsburgh held at Sally's Place this morning. The event included meditation, yoga, and discounts to local businesses, including Jeni's ice cream! The shop is colorful and inviting, however an entire shelf randomly fell down behind someone while we were waiting in line! Fortunately everyone was ok. As for the ice cream, the wildberry lavender was perfect parts sweet and tart while the cookies in cream was a crunchy take on one of my classic favorites. It was served with a fresh tasting buttercrisp waffle wedge. With so many creative flavors to chose from, I look forward to returning!

Yelp
Love love love!!!! The price is worth the quality. Unlike any other ice cream, Jenis is made with all natural ingredients and you can definitely taste the difference. The staff are super nice and helpful. I don't think I can ever enjoy regular ice cream again. Jenis is on a whole other level. The ambiance is super cute, modern and up to date.

Yelp
It's hard to believe the last time I had ice cream at Jeni's was in Columbus, Ohio in 2015! My husband and I stopped here for dessert since we had just finished lunch at a nearby restaurant. The ice cream is sent over to them from their Columbus location but the waffles used for the cones and cups are made in house. What's nice is that you get to sample any flavor of choice. They do offer a couple of dairy free options and those are noted on their menu. My husband wanted a bowl of salted peanut butter and their monthly special-blackout chocolate cake ice cream. I had that same blackout cake flavor myself and believe me-it is to die for!! I learned that they used to sell those in their sell able pints but now they have put it in their stores for consumption. He loved his two scoops. I had gone with the blackout cake, the dark chocolate ice cream and a flavor known as goat cheese with red cherries. The dark chocolate really wasn't as appealing as I had thought but I loved the goat cheese. A very unique concept which makes you think you are eating a cherry cheesecake. The ice cream wasn't too heavy and having 3 scoops was just the right amount for me. The place is very clean and even the napkins tell the story of the ice cream process. They have merchandise for sale so during my visit I purchase a few ice cream spoons and a small cooler which I can take anywhere when I have to carry perishables. Prices are pretty reasonable for these items. They sell their pint ice creams in a freezer behind the checkout counter. Cards and cash are both accepted. Jeni's splendid ice cream is a chain with locations in various states. This location is a great addition to the area and with the 2-3 hour free parking in the nearby garage makes it a lot easier to get to. Located in Bakery Square next to AVS Alta Via pizzeria and Galley Bakery Square.

Yelp
Great ice cream and location in Bakery Square! Getting 2 flavors for a single scoop was great and the workers were extremely friendly, their recommendations were helpful as well! I will say for 6 dollars I wish I had more ice cream, but instead I will say for the size I wish it costed slightly less. This is definitely a great spot for an after meal treat, and is a lot less heavy than milkshake factory!

Yelp
We got hooked on Jeni's ice cream a few years ago at Whole Foods. The High Five Candy Bar was the first we tried and it is loaded with toppings, rich and deliciuos. Then a Whole Foods employee introduced us to the Wildberry Lavender which is a unique flavor and so good. We buy them mostly at Whole Foods (watch for sales) but sometimes at Target and Giant Eagle. However I kept seeing ads for flavors I couldn't find... so I was so excited when I saw that a Jeni's was opening in Pittsburgh. This location is in Bakery Square and pretty convenient to us. The front parking area can get congested so sometimes it is easier to go in the back and just head up the ramp into the garage. Garage parking was free for two hours. The shop is so cute and bright inside with some high tables and seating or you can take your ice cream outside to enjoy on a nice day. The employees greeted us and were very friendly. They were happy to make recommendations and offer samples. You also get greeted by the smell of fresh waffles as they are making the cones and bowls fresh in store. They had a really wide variety of flavors available, including some dairy free options. I think they have something for everyone. Subtle, rich, fruity, tangy, etc... They also seem to rotate through seasonal flavors pretty often. Since it was our first time in the store we wanted to focus on flavors we hadn't had before. The pumpkin roll was a bit of a let down, just didn't have as much pumpkin flavor as we were looking for. The gooey butter cake was good and unique. However, the wedding cake flavor was amazing. It was blackberry and lemon with cake. It had a good balance of fruit and richness without being too sweet. I was so disappointed when I learned this flavor was gone and wish I had a pint in the freezer. The ice cream is all creamy and delicious. The only downside is the ice cream is a little expensive. Also the pints to purchase at the store are $3-4 more than you would pay in the grocery store. Overall I am so glad to have a Jeni's close by and see they will be opening another location. I will probably mostly stick to at home pints. However when I feel like going out for ice cream or there is an irresistible flavor not available in grocery stores I will definitely be going. BONUS TIP: On your birthday you receive a free single, double or trio in a cone or bowl just by showing your ID.
google avatar

Derek R.

Yelp
Is the ice cream good? Yes. Is it worth over $7.00 for a tiny portion... No. Tourist trap type of place. There are so many better local choices with similar, if not better ice cream. I really thought it was a prank when he handed me a cone with 2 ping pong sized ice cream scoops on it... for over $7.00. I am glad I tried it, but will not be back.

Yelp
I was so excited when jenis opened. I love bakery square and having an ice cream spot there makes a lot of sense. The ice cream is great! They have a nice mix of flavors. They also sell pints but you can find jenis at target (and even on Gopuff) for cheaper. The shop itself is really cute - it's very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The one downfall is that the service is inconsistent. I've had fine service and then I've had not so good service. I've been here about 6 or 7 times and I thought as they got their feet they would get better but some times the vibe with the staff is just off. I understand it's a new location and they're still trying to find there groove. Over all it's good ice cream! My nieces like it - so it's definitely kid approved!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been a fan of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams for many years (we visited them in Ohio a few years ago), so I am glad they finally arrived in Pittsburgh. The gentleman serving the ice cream was very pleasant and patient with us as we were trying to decide which flavors we wanted (we taste tested a few different flavors). The ice cream was as delicious as I remembered . . . Cheers!
google avatar

Ken L.

Yelp
Ok my second time here was muchhh better than the first. Not sure if it's because we went before their grand opening and they were working out their kinks but the new fall flavors wowed us. I like that their waffle cones aren't too sweet. The pistachio macaron, boozy eggnog, and Mexican hot chocolate were on point. We liked the coffee and dark chocolate too. Only comment was that there was a giant line in the middle of the day since only one person was scooping. We waited in line for over 20 mins before the line even got long.
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
Great ice cream. The flavors are so creative and it's always fresh and tasty. My favorite is the brambleberry - I'm usually not a fruit ice cream fan, but I am here. I like that the small can have 2 flavors. I'm a big fan of mixing up my ice cream. Staff has always been very friendly and inviting. I would say the shorter the line, the more accommodating they are, but that's true of anywhere. Even when the line is kind of crazy, they're always offering samples and advice. The waffle cones aren't my favorite. They're a little too on the savory side for me. Overall, it's really pricey, so it's not an every day kind of spot, but I keep going back.

Yelp
I loveeee Jeni's and was so excited to see them in Bakery Square. I've been buying their ice cream at the grocery store for years and never thought I'd see them in Pittsburgh. So so so happy. I visited recently on a Saturday early afternoon and went with a single scoop in a waffle cone- I did a half scoop of cookies and cream and a half scoop of the wedding cake flavor (raspberry with lemon curd and cake pieces). It was SO GOOOOD. I'll be back.

Yelp
The atmosphere right as you walk in feels like summer with a great soundtrack playing in the background. It's always clean and the staff is always super nice and accommodating. The ice cream flavors are always unique and delicious and I've had almost every flavor that they offer.

Yelp
This ice cream is so good! I love that when you get a single you can get up to two flavors. The cherry and goat cheese ice cream has such a great flavor too it and it's unique! The gooey butter cake was by far my favorite though and well worth trying!

Yelp
We've waited a long time to get a Jeni's in Pittsburgh. This is a great addition to our ice cream situation here in the burgh. The flavors are super, ice cream is creamy, three storage is nice, with a few standing and sitting tables. The darkest chocolate is maybe the darkest chocolate ice cream I've ever had. The coffee is a strong coffee flavor. And we got the salted peanut butter with chocolate flakes. I'm not usually a salted ice cream fan, but this has just a touch of salt. Delicious! It is quite expensive, though!

Yelp
Jeni's dairy free flavors are creamy and decadent and never disappoint. On my recent visit I went with Texas Sheet Cake and Rum Ball served in a waffle cone cup. Both were yummy, but the Texas Sheet Cake was by far my favorite of the two. The most delightful part of this visit, though, was watching the toddler at the table next to ours lick ice cream off the table after bumping his ice cream cone against the edge. He wasn't leaving ANY behind, at least not until his parent realized what was happening and shared the wisdom: "sometimes we lose some [ice cream], and that's OK." Priceless.

Yelp
I miss ice cream that actually has flavors that you can really taste. Caramel that tastes like caramel, chocolate that doesn't taste like wax and cream that has a distinct dairy mouth feel. Jeni's has ice cream that tastes like someone was in the backyard taking turns turning the ice cream churner. I say this because when I was a young girl, my grandma would ask each of her grandchildren what their favorite flavor ice cream was for our birthdays and then make the ice cream base. Once the ice cream base was made, she would pour it into an old style ice cream maker with salt and ice and each kid would take a turn cranking the ice cream paddles. Hard work for the kids, but tasty enough to still inspire ice cream dreams. Jeni's ice cream gives me back old school ice cream vibes. Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Blackout Chocolate Cake and Gooey Butter Cake were the flavors that I had and they were to die for..... No waxy tasting chocolate here, friend! Just chocolatey deliciousness. I'm talking big, bold and wonderful non-stop chocolate flavor. Yummy, yummy, yummy! And the Gooey Butter Cake has a cream cheese base that comes shining through enough to make you want to slap someone. And you can't ignore the Brown Butter Almond Brittle either. That ice cream dares you to eat more. I would go to Jeni's every day, if I could afford it but I have to maintain my girlish figure and bank account.
