Jenki Matcha Covent Garden - Review - Covent Garden - London - The Infatuation

"Jenki is like Marmite—people seem to really love it or really hate it. Us? We’re fans of this takeaway Covent Garden matcha bar. With latte flavours like yuzu and honey or cacao and mushrooms, it might sound a little gimmicky but what’s wrong with a little fun in your matcha? Not all of them hit—the vanilla and sea salt can be too salty—but if you order a regular vanilla matcha latte, or dabble in their monthly specials like pistachio tiramisu, it’s like a dessert and a drink in one. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute" - Rianne Shlebak

The best matcha latte I’ve had! The sea salt vanilla matcha latte (iced) was exquisite, you could actually taste the sea salt. I also tried the cinnamon bun matcha latte tasted exactly like a cinnamon bun, I was impressed.

Best Matcha in London!!! Can’t count anymore how many times I’ve been to this place!! Really recommend it as well as the matcha reeses! Tips: download the app for the loyalty card with a free matcha! Wouldn’t recommend the jenki in Selfridges though, I’ve never had a good matcha there neither my friends.

Matcha flavour wasn’t strong. Only come here if you are ok with not too strong matcha taste. Nice matcha making process though

Ordered the sea salt vanilla matcha and it was so good! Matcha was smooth and not too bitter, creamy milk and the sweetness of vanilla blended perfectly well with everything. Haven’t tried the other items on the menu but this one’s something I’d order again.🙂 the place could be bigger though.

I had an excellent experience at this branch of JENKI Matcha. I tried the new iced strawberry and elderflower matcha latte, and it was fantastic. The matcha is bold and really shines through in the drink. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful when I had questions, and my drink was made quickly.

The matcha was not great with a weird initial taste. I can make better at home. This is my own opinion though and I understand that everyone’s experience is different. All the staff were very nice though which bumps this up ☺️

My eyes were caught by the shop while walking by, I went in and bought a cup of regular matcha drink. It’s a bit pricey, and tasted watery… you can add sugar at the self-help desk which is convenient, but based on overall experience I won’t come back again…

It smells like matcha as you enter, very pleasant, but the staff didn’t add to the atmosphere, The worst matcha I’ve had… it tasted like I took a gulp of the Red Sea, definitely don’t get the Salted vanilla latte. My face: 😖 I will have to revisit for a classic matcha and will update the review correspondingly 🍵
