JENKI Matcha Selfridges

First time at Jenki’s at Selfridges on 19/1 between 8–9pm and it was an excellent experience. Ordered two matchas and one hojicha — the matcha sea salt vanilla was outstanding and easily the best matcha I’ve had in London. This is truly how matcha should be. I’ve tried matcha from many other places that were overly sweet and not very impressive, but this one genuinely blew me away — refined, balanced, and clearly high quality. I didn’t catch their names, but the two team members working at that time were incredibly warm, attentive, and generous, even surprising us with complimentary treats 🍬 Thank you so much girls — this is exactly how customer service should be. Beautiful ambience and a fantastic first impression. I’ll definitely be back ! ♥️

I visited with my nieces on their first trip to London, expecting a nice experience, but it turned out to be one of the worst café visits we’ve had. The staff member preparing the matcha was very rude. Every time someone tried to take a photo of their drink, she reacted aggressively and told people not to film. The café is popular on social media, so naturally customers want to take photos of what they buy. Even customers who were not filming her directly were stopped. On top of that, the place was not clean, and the way the matcha was prepared looked unprofessional. Overall, not a welcoming or pleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Aji was so kind and helpful. She made me feel really welcomed and knew what to recommend me! What a lovely addition to the Jenki Selfridges team. I will definitely be coming back here again!

I always love coming to Jenki for my matcha and it never disappoints! The service is always good and fast as well, especially from Veronica! She’s lovely to speak to 🤍

I usually love the matcha here — rich flavor and vibrant color. This time, it was pale, weak, and didn’t taste like matcha at all. When I asked for extra to fix it, I was told I’d need to pay more. Really disappointing compared to my past visits.

Busy. Little places to sit. Takes a long time. The iced matchcano was ok, I asked for protein shot but couldn't taste anything added, probably a placebo. The latte was too milky, best to pop a lactese for the bus trip back home.

I went in to get a vanilla matcha and was met with the most incredible service from Eva. She was extremely friendly and smiley, and handed me my drink with such a warm heart. I honestly can’t express how nice the experience was. she’s absolutely amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back just because of her!
