Jenny Strand Park is praised by family guides and local parents for its friendly ambiance and excellent play structures. Tucked into a residential neighborhood, it features a shaded playground, picnic shelters, and a walking path that encircles the green, making it especially popular for young children and caregivers. The park’s modest size ensures a relaxed, welcoming environment, perfect for afternoons spent close to home.

They've got a nice basketball court and tennis court that are both well maintained. There's plenty of space for people to do cookouts too. Parking is fairly limited so plan on parking down the street. Two public bathrooms and a playground are make this a good place to bring kids. The park also features a large grassy area for sports like frisbee or cricket.

Pretty quiet park with full court basketball and a tennis court. Has a bathroom and a playground area with sand for younger kids. Nice open field, great for football, soccer or ultimate. Only ding would be a smallish parking lot though I actually count it as a plus as probably helps it from becoming super crowded.

This is a small park attached to a soccer field. There is inadequate parking for even the smallest of gatherings. There is some street parking near the park, but those fill up fast. I wouldn't reccomend trying to visit over the weekend due to the lack of parking and small play area. It does have clean, well lit and stocked bathrooms that are open only during park hours.

Nice quiet but small park

Awesome, non crowded park. Great for kids, clean bathrooms, good tennis and basketball courts, and a good little barbeque area. Get there early if you want to use it on a Saturday. Really limited parking, so you'll wind up on the street quite often.

Jenny Strand Park is more for adults, while Westwood Oaks Park a few blocks away is more for kids. Jenny Strand is small, but makes the most of its size. Good sized trees rim the park, making the most of the sight lines. The are nice big trees inside the park for shade, well sighted picnic tables, a basketball court, and a nice sized open green.

Cute, quiet park tucked away in a cute, quiet neighborhood. Perfect for bday parties. 2 clean gender neutral bathrooms.

Yelp
This is a small but well-maintained park. They have 1 tennis court, a basketball court, and a small grassy area. We came here to run and ride the Onewheel but ended up going around the neighborhood instead.

Yelp
It's a nice enough park. Clear, has a picnic area and playground. Has it's own parking lot (though not that large). It's tucked away, nestled at the end of a residential area so it shouldn't ever been over crowded with random folks. Be forewarn, that picnic area is first come first serve. My friend recommended it for me for a small event. I drove out there on a Saturday at 7:30am and it was already claimed for another party. The picnic tables are a bit small and I felt too spaced apart, though. It's a nice little park for the family.

Yelp
I always feel guilty about frequenting Santa Clara parks when I live just across the border in San Jose, but the City of Santa Clara city parks are a notch above San Jose city parks. Bathrooms have soap and are cleaned regularly. The trees are well groomed and the play structures are well loved by the kids (albeit they tend to be the older wood & metal structures). Jenny Strand is your typical Santa Clara neighborhood park. The city has done a great job of giving all the neighborhoods a local park. This one is near I-280 so it isn't a nice tranquil park, but the larger grass lawns, trees and BBQ areas make up for it. The park also has tennis courts and basketball courts. If you love Baseball you can't use this park - signage prohibits it...

Yelp
Getting my PokemonGo on at the local park! Happy to be in California!! The park is in great shape, with lots of those things for kids to do.

Yelp
I love this park! It's neatly tucked away in the corner of the neighborhood and is well taken care of. There is plenty for people of all ages to do. It is frequented by children's play groups, ultimate frisbee players, and basketball players. It offers full tennis and basketball courts, picnic tables and BBQs, a large grass field, play structure, and restrooms. Its peaceful and a great place to bring the family! I lived in this neighborhood growing up, and have countless memories here. My friends and I used to spend our summer days here playing basketball, tennis, and on the playground. We still come back to this park for get togethers and BBQs. In fact, I just went to a BBQ there with my friends and 7 of their kids last week and they had a blast. I've never heard of anyone getting sick from the sand, maybe the previous reviewer's child just happened to come down with something coincidentally at the same time? My friends bring their kids there all the time with no problems. I have several friends who live right in the neighborhood and bring them there at least once or twice a week. The parking lot was purposely made small, in order to keep it a "neighborhood" park. I love that they thought of this, so it never gets too overcrowded and still maintains that small park feel. This is truly a cozy and peaceful place to spend a beautiful day at with friends or family.

Yelp
This hidden park is very nice. Picnic area is a little far from the playground, but has nice wooden play structure and right next to it is a restroom. Also it has a big grassy field. It is crowded in the morning, but usually there is no one after lunch time. Only bad part is parking. There are parking space only for 5 cars or so.

Yelp
Gorgeous park! A jewel hidden in a quiet neighborhood. I hope the Santa Clara City Council doesn't destroy it by building soccer fields here to provide free parking for 49er stadium VIPS. They want to. There isn't much parking here (just 7 spaces). I wonder where the city council thinks entire soccer teams are going to park. The lights & noise of soccer fields would destroy the quiet beauty of this park.
