Jenny's Pizza

Absolutely repulsive. Atrocious that this Adriatic Wrap sandwich was served this way but it was inedible because it was disgusting and impossible to eat, the most revolting sandwich I’ve ever had. We ordered 2 of them at $12 each and they both went in the trash.this is the 3rd item I’ve tried at the “new” Jenny’s and the mediocre pizza was the only thing edible. A simple Greek salad, this sandwich and the pizza. It’s hard to screw up a Greek salad. This is a SCAM and they are taking advantage of people. NEVER AGAIN. Ordered on 2/26/25. The smell is like nothing I have ever smelled. This is a wrap sandwich with lettuce with chicken cucumber red onion and Gorgonzola. Even the wrap itself was horrible. This is shameful. Adriatic WrapGorgonzola, chicken, lettuce, onions, cucumber and balsamic vinaigrette. $12.05

We ordered 3 pizzas: pepperoni, chicken buffalo, and just cheese. I don't know how they got confused, but they made 3 sandwiches: chicken buffalo, steak with pepperoni, and one with just cheese. At no point was it mentioned over the phone that we ordered sandwiches, and when we arrived to pick up the order, they said that's what we ordered and didn't even give us the option to cancel or anything like that. Very dissatisfied with the service, the lack of respect for customers, and a great lack of attention.

I ordered 3 pizzas, but when the I arrived, they said they had understood ‘subs’ instead. They didn’t give me any option to change it, and on top of that, it was super expensive — $90 for 3 pizzas and 2 subs! Very disappointing experience.

Since they changed owners, I order at home every day, the driver is always the same person and is super nice even though he doesn't speak much English

I had a slice of cheese pizza, then a chicken parm sandwich. WOW! This food was so delicious, it must be sinful. Owner, Joey, and his amazing crew are a well oiled machine that work together as if of one mind. If you are in more than a couple of times, expect to be greeted by name, by Joey. And if you have a "regular" order, he'll know that pretty quickly, too, so don't be surprised. No matter what you order, pizza, grinder (sandwich), or whatever you choose from the extensive menu, make sure you're hungry, because you're going to want to keep eating until you explode. I know I did.

Ordered a meatball sub with provolone cheese to go. When I opened the wrapper, I wondered "Where's the red sauce?" Cut into one of the small meatballs and couldn't determine what it was made from - hard, dry mystery meat! Overall very poor quality and wastebasket bound. No thanks Jenny's.

Pizza was delish! I called around 7:45 and made sure it was on the still order takeout. Lady answering was super nice and said "of course!" Service was speedy and super awesome. Pizza was thin crust, good chew, NY style. So yummy! If we're in the area we will definitely be back.

Just got our first delivery in a long time and it's so good!! Great chicken Caesar wrap and pizza! We'll be back more often! Delivery was great, food was still warm!

I absolutely love pizza. & this location has been there for quite some time!! Living around the area makes this place so much better! They are super friendly and their pizza is amazing! Crunchy semi thin crust and very well cooked sauce and cheese ! Next on their menu is Steak and Cheese sub!

The best thing about this meal was the paper bag it came in! The prices on line are off by 4 bucks, the cheese burger patties are frozen dog food and the onion rings are batter blasted crap!! They charged me 3 dollars for delivery, this place sucks! Bottom line... Don't go to Jenny's not the place it used to be!!!

If I could post zero stars, I would. You see, at 12pm we called to order a group lunch for our office. At 2pm, we called to see what was taking so long. The woman who answered the phone noticed the order was never placed. She "wasn't in the position" to do much at all about it except 1. cancel or 2. put it in now... with a 30 minute wait. We will see if our food ever does arrive... Suffice it to say, our office will never be ordering from Jenny's again.

I come to Jenny's for lunch about 2 times a week. I love their chicken and French fry dinners. I used to get the chicken wing dinner but realized that I liked their chicken fingers more. The pizza is okay... It's a bit too greasy for my taste. They do offer a wide range of fast food options for a quick bite. The portion sizes are good for the pricing; you can get something filling between $7 - $10. The establishment is very small, only a standing space for about 4 people max. But they are prompt with orders. The customer service is based on who you are dealing with because there are a couple men that work there who are pleasant, but the female with the gray hair is very short and not super welcoming.

Friendly staff! Go to order is Buffalo chicken wrap, grilled chicken Caesar wrap, or Greek wrap. All are delicious. For pizza we like the mushroom and onion and the Buffalo chicken. Great spicy fries!

I picked up food for 3 of us a couple of days ago and everyone gave 2 thumbs up and these guys can be pretty picky:) The orders were: 14 inch pizza (pepperoni, mushroom, onion), Chef salad, fries, chicken parm sub and mozzarella sticks. The girl that answered the phone was very polite and patient as we had a couple of questions. Also when I picked up the order, the 2 young gentlemen inside for polite as well. It's a small pizza/sub shop that has been around for a while now. I also remember going about 6 years ago and having no issues. In addition, the prices are really fair! Especially for Boston. The order above can to roughly $40. I guess they only thing holding Jenny's back from a 5 Star pizza shop is that you really can't sit inside to eat if you wanted to. Very small. Maybe there is a seat or 2 I missed. I just don't recall. However, if you are in the area, definitely give Jenny's a try.

What to say about Jenny's? Not a bad spot but far from a great pizza place. I order from here rarely as I find it usually hit or miss. I truly wish this place was better being one of the few places in Charlestown.

So while I was working nearby I figured I would try this place. Always drove by and wanted to try it....should have kept driving. Ordered a large Italian sub, the service was quick and.and soon after ordering I was given a sub that seemed very light and very small for a large! Opening the wrapper, I saw my favorite cubed pickles, so I had high hopes! I grabbed the sub and separated the sub roll, it showed very little meat inside. Furthermore from first bite until last bite the sandwich was dry and bread was old. The sandwich was tasteless. All I could taste was stale, old bread and onions. When you make a living selling subs, the bread should not be old. Sorry, Jenny, you're not the girl for me.

This is my hometown hero. Jenny's Pizza & Subs. If I could give them 5 more stars I would. It is my FAVORITE sub shop I've ever been too. I'll usually order their tuna sub, bacon cheeseburger sub (which is 3 patties on a sub and bacon and cheese), their buffalo wings, or any of their pizzas (usually with meat toppings). They have so much more but thats some of my favorite. It's such a small place they work in and it's right down the road from where I grew up in Charlestown. Theyre always fast with taking their orders and even faster with their delivery. They have some of the best fries I have ever tasted. I don't recomend stopping in and ordering, although it is available to do so. But I only say this because it's such a small little hut and gets crowded VERY easily. Not to mention you'll get in the way. So I highly suggest ordering from home. (or if you're in the Charlestown area) This place is great if you're having some friends over to watch a game or if you just want to order a quick dinner for you and your significant other. I'm more than suprised they haven't been exploding on the map but I suppose it's Charlestown's little treasure. 20 frickin stars.

Good stuff - cheap too! Their tag line is - "It's all Good" and I certainly agree. You can get delivery or stop by and pick up your order but they don't have tables to stay and eat there. The owner used to work there as a pizza delivery person when he was younger and eventually bought the place. Jenny's has always supported local youth and sports organizations. The driver once asked my family if we were getting pots and pans for Christmas because we ordered so much from them. They're all very funny and friendly.

Pastrami sub (with hot peppers): YUM. Chicken Salad sandwich: YUM. Appropriately priced ($5 for a sub/sandwich) and well worth the money. Big ups to them also for the prompt delivery. There's a $1.50 delivery fee, but hey, I'd pay that for the convenience of never having to leave my desk! :)

After tonight, I have to knock it down to 2 stars. I just had the worst eggplant parm sub that I've ever eaten in my life. Tasted like chemicals, and after my first bite I noticed the eggplant was greenish in color. Underripe or molded? I pray to god for the former. I'll probably continue to order, because the rest of the food is consistently solid (but don't order the wings, either). But never again will I get the eggplant parm. Never. Again.

It used to be across the street from my house.....the corner of Main and School Streets.....I grew up on their chicken parms and steak and cheese! And slices....When they moved down to Medford St I figured I'd just find a new place to grab some quick food. Boy was I wrong....I find myself calling down their for delivery atleast 2 or 3 times a week! Their chicken parms and steak and cheese are a legend in Charlestown! If you grew up in Charlestown you have eaten here your whole life. You will get to know the staff and eventually when you call they'll just say "The usual?" Great pizza......great subs......they even just started making dinners with pasta and chicken and meatballs......give them a call! You won't be let down!

Definitely not the best pie I've had, and not even close. However, if you're looking for a pretty cheap pizza without sacrificing total quality, Jenny's will do the trick. In summary, Jenny's is a good value. You should know that I haven't tried their subs yet, and plan to do so. I am hoping that they might outdo the pizza... more to come.

Ordered a Pizza and it looked like the condiments had been thrown in a blender then slapped on my pizza dough. It was a sloppy clumsy mess. And I liked it. I didn't love it, but it was ok. Closes early, so beware.

OK. Tried the Pizza. Delicious! After living in DC for 15 years where the pizza is less than mediocre, it's nice to live somewhere I can go get real pie. I'm ordering again. Been back for the tuna sub several times. Love it. Delivery is pretty fast, too.

Best italian style pizza in the city!!! GOD perfect crust...great sauce...and perfect amt of cheese. SOOO GOOD! Their steak and cheese and french fries are also bomb (especially when hung over)! It's the thing I miss the most about living in C-town. The owners are also insanely nice and entertaining if you are picking up your food. I just wish they were open a little later and on Sundays!!! I have a special places in my heart for Jennys!

Jenny's Food and Portions are the best around the area. Jenny's is a small (with recently renovated interior) neighborhood sub shop along the Mystic River side of Charlestown seemingly converted from a house on Medford Street. The Pizza, Sub, Sandwiches and Calzones are fantastic. I love their food and the subs and sandwiches are of a generous size - enough to make two meals out of them sometimes. My favorite will always be the Meatball sub...delicious - best I've ever had. Nothing cookie cutter about this place. Oh, and if there are cookies or brownies in the basket by the register, do yourself a favor and grab a few. They're made by Joey's Mom and they are some of the best you'll find anywhere - (no kidding!). Don't expect to dine in as their is not enough room for seating inside, but feel free to talk with the very personable owner, Joey and his friendly staff making the great food. There are benches outside, but orders are for take-out. But wait - there's a bonus!!! Joey puts up 4-5 trivia questions on the grease-board every week on a wide variety of subjects. This is down the street from where I work, so I try to get there by the end of the week if I haven't yet so as not to miss the trivia questions. I've yet to sweep all the questions in a week - some of them are frustrating stumpers. So if you're in Charlestown and hungry, zip down Medford Street and stop in. You'll be glad you did! They also deliver and do catering.

My office orders from here once in a while. The pizza is average, nothing spectacular, and the other stuff is standard fare for a local pizza/sub shop. I got a tuna wrap today and was disappointed.. too much mayo! bleh... I'm guessing the chicken salad would be equally runny, too, so order with caution. (btw, order order took well over an hour to arrive from down the street...)

Jennys is a Charlestown institution, and with good reason. Solid sandwiches and pizza, fast delivery (since they are townies - they know their way around), and really good prices. Steak and Cheese on a braided roll....HELL YEAH.

I ordered dinner to be delivered to a student who had his last day of school today. Set up a few hours in advance for a delivery time of 6:00 so we could have a Zoom farewell dinner with his family (my family is over an hour away). The food didn't come out until 6:30pm, and wasn't delivered until 6:45. My family had already finished eating before his food even arrived. I understand about the pandemic and all, but I ordered the food 6 hours before I wanted it delivered! I really don't have a food review, but the timely delivery was no good...

Growing up in Brooklyn, New York City, New York I've only found 2 places outside of Brooklyn where I've liked the pizza. Jenny's is one of the two. The prices are very reasonable, the people are kind and clean. The restaurant is clean as well. My co-workers had pizza, steak bomb, chicken parm and chicken club sandwich and non of us complained about our meals. We all really enjoyed it.

The absolute best salad I have had in awhile! Greek salad with chicken, tons of chicken and vegetables, sliced to perfect size, portion was great. Called for delivery and food arrived well ahead of the 45 minute estimate. Will definitely order again in the future. Thanks Jenny's

"I may not be a smart man...but I know what love is." In an area devoid of anywhere to get food, Jenny's is a bright spot. Standard pizza and sandwiches, but the fact that they exist where they do---just a couple blocks from my house---makes me happy.

We finally got to try the subs. I have to say, if you stop in and chat with the people who work here, they're awesome. Hilarious too. I had the meatball sub, which I found to have meatballs that were far too dense for my liking, and which were seasoned with something peculiar... just wasn't for me. My wife got the turkey bomber, which was very good, if not a bit bland (turkey, onions, mushrooms, peppers on bread... needs some sauce or something for me). Price is still fair. We ordered fries "well done", and they were NOT that. Again, it's what you get when you have to order last minute... nothing else stays open and is reasonably priced in C'town.

I ordered for delivery once and was not happy. The salad I got was not good at all. The lettuce was soggy and the chicken was dry. Also, the delivery lady was clearly smoking in the car because my bag of food completely reeked of cigarettes. So gross! I doubt I'll order from this place again.

The lady that took my order was viciously rude, Like she was going to jump over the phone and strangle me if I had ask her to toast my sub roll. I order a steak and cheese w/ lettuce, tomatoes, pickles with extra hots . She literally shout that is 50 cent for each topping. Not just once but kept repeating 50 cents. I'm like lady that is fine with me . It was round rush hour and delivery would take long from my favorite Cinderalla pizza . Next time I'll think twice about this pizza joint. I paid close to 10 freaking dollars for a sub on a soggy sausage roll. Thanks but no thanks . I'll take my business elsewhere with your mood swings!

When I called called to place an order for delivery, the woman on the phone was very rude and hung up on me before I was finished. When I tried to call back to pay with card over the phone no one answered till the 10th time I called. Literally. Then it took an hour to get to me when I was a 10 min walk away. Safe to say I will never order delivery from them again. The only reason why I gave any stars at all was because the food was really good. Just very poor service.

My sons in Spaulding for a few weeks so I decided to give this local place a try, glad I did, great tasting pizza and sandwiches, large portions and very reasonably priced. It's only a takeout place and parking can get a little tight. I'm only sad that once my sons out of Spaulding that I won't be eating lunch here again, I'm not from the area.

I am smitten with Jenny's Pizza & Subs. I'm not one to be easily smitten, except perhaps when I've had a bit to drink - but I was sober when I went to Jenny's. For the last month, I've made a Friday night habit out of her. Jenny's is close to Somerville, where my musician friends have a studio. I go to Jenny's whenever I'm supposed to do the piano parts for my friends, then we go to the studio and work really hard on full, blissful stomachs until about 4 or 5 in the morning. We run on the fuel that Jenny's unflaggingly provides (ok, that and the liquor store down the street). I order the same thing every time because it hits the spot every time without fail: a grilled vegetarian sub with provolone cheese and no eggplant. Although the food is always served piping hot and fresh, it's not only the food that keeps me faithful. My main man Joey remembered my preferences down to the minute details immediately after my first visit and even asked about me when I didn't show up one Friday. This kind of customer service is old school: completely uncalculated and completely unheard of these days. You're not supposed to matter, remember? It's so unnecessary to have a name and a face and a set of preferences. At both Starbucks and Bank of America, I've been regularly asked for my name. The corporate world has caught on to the fact that it needs to come across as less corporate in order to maintain the loyalty of their customers. It is possible to get good customer service at both Starbucks and B of A - I don't want to offend the people who work there and who, against the odds, do a good job. But the fact of the matter is that when I'm asked for my name at Starbucks or B of A, it's because it blatantly facilitates their job for them to do so. My name will get written down on a cup (Starbucks) or on the line-up list of people to be helped (B of A), but this isn't a desire of theirs so much as it was dictated by the corporate structure for them to take down their customer's names. If that concierge at B of A hands me another flyer when I come in or asks me if I need help when it's clear I'm just there to deposit a prosaic check, I'll need to have an anger orgy. By contrast, the staff at Jenny's genuinely cares for their customers, not due to corporate compulsion but out of commitment to mutual satisfaction. It's not a corny throwback to quainter days and it shouldn't be confused with courtesy. It's a simple relationship: I know what I want and Jenny knows how to please me. If only human relationships were always so direct. Je t'aime Jenny. PS - I can't vouch for the pizza or salads because I haven't had any, but the subs and sandwiches are reliably out of this world. Make sure to ask for extra lettuce or onions or whatever it is that you're into. Just be careful where you end up parking because the street signs are tricky and you can easily get fined, which would detract from all the money you're saving due to Jenny's ridiculously reasonable prices.

Terrible. I ordered a sandwich and a salad to be delivered. I literally live down the street from this place, but I waited over an hour and the food never came. I called and was told the food was on the way, but there was no apology or explanation for the super long wait. I waited 15 more minutes and finally cancelled the order. I don't have time for this. If they are not able to accommodate the lunch demand, they should notify people when they accept orders.

This place was awesome when it was on main street, then it moved and was still awesome, then some new owners bought it and about half of Charlestown ordered cold cut subs and were hospitalized within a week...It's safe to eat there again and the chicken parms and steak bombs are fucking classics. I don't even think I've actually had their pizza since I was like 10 though.

In reality, I give this place 0 stars but that's not an option here. The story starts like this: My roommate and I decided to order some food on a lazy hungover day, and since this place had pretty good reviews AND they delivered, we figured why not. We both go the same wrap-- chicken cutlet with american cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Sounds delicious right? Well I eat the first half of the wrap, and I'm thinking to myself "something tastes weird". I wasn't sure if it was the tomatoes or the mayo or something, but whatever I was famished so I started on the second half. This is where things get interesting ... I take a big bite and a large piece of plastic comes out of the sandwich. THEY FORGOT TO TAKE PART OF THE WRAPPER OF THE CHEESE. The sandwich was heated up also, which means that the plastic partially melted into the rest of my food. I was eating plastic. It's not so easy to digest plastic, trust me. Now I'm left nauseous and completely freaked out. My body is now polluted by toxins from melted plastic. Thanks, Jenny, LYLAS. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.

**written by Dudeitsshoe's girlfriend** We love Jenny's. We live a few blocks from this place and only discovered it over the summer. I have to say, the pizza, fries and even salads are phenomenal. My boyfriend's favorite is the Jenny's Special pizza (so meaty...so good), I like the Buffalo chicken pizza (they call it hotfingers)...and when I'm feeling relatively healthy I just get the grilled chicken caesar salad (and they know us by name so they always put my dressing on the side for me). We also love their spicy fries. It is a neighborhood place so they remember your order without being falsely nice...when we call, they just rattle off our previous order and confirm (I guess we're predictable). We even ordered off of the online ordering system once when they were actually closed and the manager personally called back to offer us a free order and apologize- they definitely didn't lose any customers because we have ordered from there just about twice a month since. Only wish it was open for more hours but I can't blame them for wanting a life!

Small but a nice spot for a quick slice of pizza. Fresh tasting ingredients but get your food and get out the place is micro sized.

I got takeout - it was an hour late to start. The chicken fingers were good, but they left out the greek dressing on the greek salad. The salad was yellow and limp - the vegetables completely tasteless. The "Jenny's Special" pizza was pretty unspecial. Cold, ugly, and tasted nasty. I wung it right into the garbage right away. Tasting the ingredients made the temperature of them less important. I think the only way this place makes any money is by upcharging on really cheap cheap ingredients. Figures. Sorry Jenny - you're food is aPATHETIC!!!

I have no idea if the food is any good because they say they deliver, and I'm only 1.1 miles away but they don't deliver to the Holiday Inn. Typical Boston attitude. These people suck. I come here for work and it's always the same crap. I have no choice but to eat at restaurants and now they will never get my business.
