7 Hangover Foods From Around the World - AFAR

"A Jeonju restaurant recommended for kongnamul gukbap, the mild anchovy-and-kelp broth heavy on bean sprouts (and often rice) that locals praise for its restorative qualities and which benefits from the region’s clean water and ideal sprout-growing soil." - Ashlea Halpern

We ordered Jeonju Bibimbap and Tofu Soup. Both meals were delicious. I especially liked the octopus banchan. Be carful if you don’t like seafood don’t order the tofu soup. It comes with clams, shrimps and Octopus. Which I really enjoyed.

Food is excellent. Prices are fair. My recommendation is the dried pollock soup apart from the famous bibimbap. Beans sprouts are really delicious, signature here.

***The original bean soup*** It was a delicious soup. It was filling but you don’t feel heavy after eating it. Highly recommend this place.

Delicious tofu soups and perfectly cooked steak served with Korean purple rice! We enjoyed the food so much that we came here twice during our stay at Lagan Hotel. Highly recommended!

Great place for traditional beansprout rice soup. They have an English menu (but it's limited, so use both menus and figure it out). There aren't many places open for breakfast in Jeonju if your Hanok doesn't provide one, so check this place out🙂

My favorite restaurant in Jeonju. If you can only eat at one place, make it this one. I had the spicey pork soup and rice, the dumplings, and the kimchi pancake. All absolutely fantastic. Given everything was high quality, I assume the rest of their menu is equally good. But if you’re craving a little spice, definitely get the pork soup. I’m in Seoul for six months and may come down to Jeonju more often just for the food…

The restaurant was big and clean, it can be a good choice for a big group. The food was quite tasty and not very ewpensible: 12k won for bibimbap, 10k won for a stew of porc and haricot mungo sprouts.

This place was amazing. We went early in the morning to beat the lunch rush. It is away a bit from the craziness of the main Hanok Road, so the atmosphere was quiet and relax. The english menu doesn’t have all the items, so i would recommend using the Google app to translate the menu for you. We both got the Spicy Pork Soup and shared the fried dumplings. I must say, the soup was some of the best I’ve ever had. This was hands down, one of my favorite meals during my visit. The dumplings were fried nicely and had a great flavor. Would recommend the soup and the dumplings both.
